Description

-=:Chiara DeLuca:=-

Age:- (Looks) 23 (Actual)Immortal, 520 thus far
Profession:- Unknown. Previous owner of Bellezza Imports but the building has been raized to the ground and the vampiress seems not to care.
Marital Status:- Single. Believes the on again off again love of her life to be dead.
Notable attributes:- Usually garbed in finery, Chiara seems to wear a lot of cliche vampire colors. Black and red, mostly in a style that seems to mix both modern clothing with pieces from her past.

Height:- 5'5"
Eyes:- Grey-blue
Hair Color:- Raven black
Image

-:Weight 112
-:Scars or Identifying marks? None.
-:Hair Style Long and usually pin straight, if she doesn't style it in some fashion.

-:More About Chiara:-

Abilities/Powers:-
  • Heightened Physical Abilities: Vampires are well known to possess supernatural strength, speed, agility, reflexes and endurance. The vampire's formidable abilities are only limited by one thing. Blood. If the vampire goes too long without feeding, they begin to steadily weaken to the point where they possess only human-like capabilities.
  • Heightened Senses: Enhanced sight, smell, hearing and touch. They can see with perfect clarity in the darkness to the point where they are able to detect bodily heat emanations. Their hearing is comparable to a bat or an owl, with a level of sensitivity almost bordering on echo-sensitivity. The vampires sense of smell is on par with that of a wolf or a dog and they can even tell individual people apart simply by the scent or smell or their blood and body odors. Their sense of touch is also heightened in that they can feel a persons heartbeat through a wall and detect the most minute of vibrations such as footsteps.
  • Transformation- Though not in the form of most legends and folklore, in extremely dangerous situations the vampire can simply disperse into a mist-like cloud. Holding this form for too long drains the vampire very quickly of its energy reserves.
  • Umbrakinesis- The ability to mentally generate and manipulate shadows/darkness.

Weaknesses:-
  • Wounds inflicted by silver or vampire/lycanthrope claws and fangs heal at a near-human rate. Which, to put it bluntly, is incredibly slow. Regular bullets and weaponry can be healed almost instantaneously.
  • Direct sunlight- Though now she has a slender pendant hanging about her neck, gifted to her from the Elders which allows her to walk unharmed in the sun's rays. If it were removed from her though, she would burn to a crisp.
  • Holy items held by a person of faith when a vampire is trying to harm them. Very important- if you do not believe in the 'power' responsible for protecting you than you will be abandoned by that power when you try to ward off a vampire with one. Also, only applicable when a vampire is trying to harm you. Your cross isn't going to affect a vampire that is sitting there having a drink and ignoring you completely. Nice try though.

History:-
Chiara De Luca was born in the 15th century in Florence, Italy and her life took a turn for the worse from there. With the discoveries abroad, Italy became less prosperous as it was removed as a trade route and leaving it wide open for political unrest. At the age of 23, Chiara was courted by a visiting Spanish nobleman, turned against her will, and subsequently abandoned. With no one to guide her path or show her the way, Chiara spent many years forging her own path through Europe as she learned what it truly meant to be a long-living creature such as the vampire. She frequently ran into those like her, picking up more of the vampire etiquette as she wandered from country to country.

Chiara DeLuca stalked into the room with an air of authority and proceeded immediately to the bar, taking a seat at the counter. She was dressed in thigh high black leather boots, a black layered skirt and a bright cobalt blue corset top with black lace detailing. Crossing one leg over the other, the vampire looked around her to see who was close by.

Chiara DeLuca felt a pull of magic from nearby and curiously honed her attention on its source. A man sitting a little further down the bar was ordering a drink and she expanded her senses to see how much of a threat this gentleman truly was. Closing her grey-blue eyes for a moment, she used her magic to confirm that he had some sort of pull over the dead, which made her frown. Cultist? Necromancer? Before she could help herself, she opened her eyes and her teeth bared in warning. She definitely did not need a power struggle tonight. Snapping her fingers at the barkeep, she ordered up her usual bottle of blood, having it served to her at a delicious 98 degrees.

Chiara DeLuca was satisfied that the threat had gone when he sent his minions to seize some poor soul behind her. Raising the bottle of toasty warm blood to her lips, she gave a soft sigh of pleasure. It was the first bit of blood she had in days and she did her best not to drink it down greedily in such a busy establishment.

Chiara DeLuca ignored the commotion in the bar for the most part, but her eyes narrowed as a man sat down at the counter and used his bat on the bartender. Not particularly violently, but still enough to cause her to snap. "Watch what you do what that thing, that man brings me my drinks and I would be most displeased if something happened to him." She levelled a gaze at Jack Collins before taking another sip of her bottled blood.

Chiara DeLuca snickered loudly enough for the patrons actually sitting at the bar to hear. "He's only human. You'll have to forgive his less than stellar performance. Perhaps if they hired a vampire or other quick-moving entity, you wouldn't have such issues getting your fix."

Chiara DeLuca shrugged off the crude comments with ease. "You must be human as well? Only humans get so agitated when they're called slow." She took another long sip of her blood, a curve frowning her berry-colored lips as she realized that the temperature of the blood was starting to fall. She set the bottle down and pushed it to the edge of the bar so it would be removed and let her tongue run across her lips to catch any of the blood she missed before turning to the man. "And perhaps you have extensive knowledge of cheap motels but I would rarely take a human, food or otherwise, to such an establishment, Mr....?" she trailed off, allowing an introduction to be made if he was so inclined.

Chiara DeLuca had quite awhile to practice patience, so when the man finally responded she nodded and continued as if nothing had happened. "I would say well met, Jack Collins, but you seem intent on being alone. So, have a pleasant time." Flashing another playful smirk at the man, she snapped her fingers again, causing the NPC bartender to rush off for another, warmer, bottle of blood. Accepting it graciously, she slipped the bartender a hefty tip before turning away to go sit in a booth a little further away from the action.

Chiara DeLuca sipped on her warm bottled blood in her corner booth, content to let the drama and battles play out without her interference. She was over 5 centuries old and planned to keep it that way.

Chiara DeLuca arched her delicately shaped eyebrow at Jack Collins as he came to her booth. "Look, as entertaining as it is to verbally spar with someone such as yourself, I really have to warn you that I am not in the mood for much more today." As soon as she was finished talking, a head peeped up over the edge of her table. Her expression of surprise mirrored his own and she nodded in response to his question. "I believe so, yes."

Chiara DeLuca chuckled softly at Zach's look of horror as he stared down at her drink and she raised it as if in a toast to the man. "Cheers," she said simply, raising the bottle of blood to her lips yet again as she took a long, slow sip. The bartender had done better with this bottle, it was still quite warm despite the time that had lapsed since she first received it.

Chiara DeLuca looked inquisitively at the celery stalk and picked it up. She was half tempted to offer him a drink, but assumed that wouldn't be nice. Entertaining, yes, but not nice. Yet she also couldn't humor the man so she simply nodded her 'thanks' and set the celery stalk back onto the table.

Chiara DeLuca stared down at the piece of paper that had been slapped onto her table, seeing nothing but the large black circle on it. She picked it up gentle, as if afraid it would be imbued with some sort of evil magic, but sensed nothing and upon turning it over, saw nothing on the opposite side. Intrigued, and confused, she stood up and made her way over to Jack yet again. In much of the same fashion as he, she slapped the paper down on the bar in front of him, but used her finger to point to it instead of a baseball bat. "What exactly is the meaning of this?"

Chiara DeLuca laughed at his sarcastic tone, which probably wasn't the response he was looking for. She sat right next to Jack and slid the paper so that it rested right in front of him. "You are an entertaining man, Jack Collins. Keep it up and I may harass you all night long." She smirked again and flipped the paper over in front of him so he could see what he had given to her. "Is this some sort of love note? I don't quite know what your kind is capable of so you'll have to inform me," she was having fun teasing the human.

Chiara DeLuca bit her lip, making sure not to puncture it with her own fangs (which was a delicate art). "Victor Emmanuel II....?" she repeated the name and trailed off, cycling through the people she had killed, turned, loved and such but finding no such name in her memory. She shook her head, curiousity and interest both apparent on her features. "Doesn't ring a bell. Should it?"

Chiara DeLuca stared at the note one more time and then flipped the paper down in front of Jack again. "Well I hope you got a decent salary and that you didn't have to get a reaction in return." She stood up, pushing her raven-black hair behind her shoulder. "If you seem him again, tell this Victor that he must be delusional... Or simply not memorable." With a smirk, she took her bottle of blood and returned to her booth in the corner, trying to keep the sheer confusion and concentration off of her face as she tried to figure out who this Victor would be and what he would want her to gain from a dot on a piece of paper.

Chiara DeLuca heard Jack still speaking even as she walked away. Her booth was only about 6 feet from his stool, so she raised her voice just a tad so that he could still hear her. "Symbols mean something only to those that understand..." she shook her head and a frown curved her berry-colored lips. "I have honestly no idea who Victor is or what that paper means. What would you have me do? Be fearful of the unknown?" she looked back to Jack with her chin set stubbornly.

Chiara DeLuca looked at her bottle and stood up again, placing it on the bar so that the bartender could dispose of it. In a whisper matching Jack's, she responded, "Many people have wanted my death over the years..." she trailed off and asked him, "Were you hired to try and take my life too? Or just to deliver the note?" Chiara sounded... Sad, almost exhausted as if this was just one more worry to add to an already long list.

Chiara DeLuca strutted into the bar like an animal on the prowl. Dressed for business, the vampiress wore a blue corset-style top over a short black layered skirt and knee-high black leather boots. When she was halfway through the bar, she smelled animal and her teeth instinctively bared at the scents owner, Saleen. She didn't have a quarrel with this one, but she knew those with animal blood held a deep hatred for her kind, so the flash of fang was more of a warning than a signal of aggression. Passing by the table, she made her way to a table, sitting in it so that her back was towards the wall and she could view the front door.

Chiara DeLuca waited to see if her contact would actually show. So few people readily dealt with vampires anymore... Not that she minded, she had enough money to do with as she pleased so she didn't particularly mind who had her business anyway. People could be bought, it was a sad but true state of the human condition. Her eyes travelled from person to person looking for entertainment as she waited. Perhaps she would find someone to willing feed from tonight.

Chiara DeLuca overheard the conversation going on at the table with the wolf, since she had taken a seat at a nearby table. A smirk crossed over her face and she used her telepathy to contact the human, Sam Marshall,-Or you could turn into something more.... Immortal. Something with power beyong your wildest dreams.- She would have laughed to herself if she hadn't used telepathy. The poor boy was going to think he was going mad.

Chiara DeLuca was in a playful mood, so she winked at the wolf-girl and then ran her tongue along her teeth. Her hunger began to grow a bit and her interest now turned towards the dragon. She had never seen his kind before, much less tasted his kind, and she knew he probably wouldn't give her a taste willingly. Sighing to herself for the lack of prospects for a decent meal, she leaned back into her seat.
