Marital Status:- Single. Believes the on again off again love of her life to be dead.
Notable attributes:- Usually garbed in finery, Chiara seems to wear a lot of cliche vampire colors. Black and red, mostly in a style that seems to mix both modern clothing with pieces from her past.

Height:- 5'5"
Eyes:- Grey-blue
Hair Color:- Raven black

-:Weight 112
-:Scars or Identifying marks? None.
-:Hair Style Long and usually pin straight, if she doesn't style it in some fashion.

-:More About Chiara:-

Abilities/Powers:-
  • Heightened Physical Abilities: Vampires are well known to possess supernatural strength, speed, agility, reflexes and endurance. The vampire's formidable abilities are only limited by one thing. Blood. If the vampire goes too long without feeding, they begin to steadily weaken to the point where they possess only human-like capabilities.
  • Heightened Senses: Enhanced sight, smell, hearing and touch. They can see with perfect clarity in the darkness to the point where they are able to detect bodily heat emanations. Their hearing is comparable to a bat or an owl, with a level of sensitivity almost bordering on echo-sensitivity. The vampires sense of smell is on par with that of a wolf or a dog and they can even tell individual people apart simply by the scent or smell or their blood and body odors. Their sense of touch is also heightened in that they can feel a persons heartbeat through a wall and detect the most minute of vibrations such as footsteps.
  • Transformation- Though not in the form of most legends and folklore, in extremely dangerous situations the vampire can simply disperse into a mist-like cloud. Holding this form for too long drains the vampire very quickly of its energy reserves.
  • Umbrakinesis- The ability to mentally generate and manipulate shadows/darkness.

Weaknesses:-
  • Wounds inflicted by silver or vampire/lycanthrope claws and fangs heal at a near-human rate. Which, to put it bluntly, is incredibly slow. Regular bullets and weaponry can be healed almost instantaneously.
  • Direct sunlight- Though now she has a slender pendant hanging about her neck, gifted to her from the Elders which allows her to walk unharmed in the sun's rays. If it were removed from her though, she would burn to a crisp.
  • Holy items held by a person of faith when a vampire is trying to harm them. Very important- if you do not believe in the 'power' responsible for protecting you than you will be abandoned by that power when you try to ward off a vampire with one. Also, only applicable when a vampire is trying to harm you. Your cross isn't going to affect a vampire that is sitting there having a drink and ignoring you completely. Nice try though.

History:-
Chiara De Luca was born in the 15th century in Florence, Italy and her life took a turn for the worse from there. With the discoveries abroad, Italy became less prosperous as it was removed as a trade route and leaving it wide open for political unrest. At the age of 23, Chiara was courted by a visiting Spanish nobleman, turned against her will, and subsequently abandoned. With no one to guide her path or show her the way, Chiara spent many years forging her own path through Europe as she learned what it truly meant to be a long-living creature such as the vampire. She frequently ran into those like her, picking up more of the vampire etiquette as she wandered from country to country.

Chiara DeLuca laughed and though she could feel the waves of magic emanating from the gentleman in the wolf mask she decided to accept. "I'd be delighted," a slow curve of her lips as she stood up, placing her drink behind her on the bar. Though she knew it was all a fantasy, she would partake in it for now. It had been much too long since she had attended a masquerade.

Chiara DeLuca danced easily. Like riding a bike, the steps came to her and she felt as if she was actually transported back to Italy cira 1733 during her last masquerade. Pale blue eyes turned viciously to the men speaking ill of their kind and she shook her head. "I must admit, such dishes would probably be sour to the tongue and not at all pleasing..." she trailed off turning her eyes to those of her dance partner with a look of curiousity. "I do not wish to end this fantasy, but I feel power emanating from your very being. Are you the one who has constructed this delightful party?"

Chiara DeLuca tilted her head as she examined her dance partner, trying to decipher from eyes alone if she knew him. "Ahh, so you are from Europe as well... And a great deal older than I, I imagine." A smirk played across her lips as she added on, "And I don't mean that from the purely female perspective of being eternally young. Just that such magic performed with such discipline... Would take more years than I have put on this Earth." Her steps quickened to match his, changing with each song fluidly as he led their movements.

Chiara DeLuca followed his glance towards a dancing couple and her delicately groomed eyebrow arched again in query. "Is the boy your charge?" she asked, unsure of what else to call him. She doubted highly that the boy was his son and she had no idea what other relationship they might have. Her shoes clicked delicately against the floor in time with the music. -Step 1,2...- she thought, remembering dance classes from all of those years ago while she spent time in the courts. Though, she had to admit this dance was more entertaining than ones she had been to in times past.

Chiara DeLuca felt her friendly smile curve into a grin at his question. "Of course. Though our kind can be the masters of lies, manipulations, and white lies... I find it refreshing when someone does not dance around subjects." She tilted her head to the side again as she looked into his eyes.

Chiara DeLuca would blush slightly and nod at his statement. "And it has been quite awhile since I have heard Italian spoken so fluently... So don't worry, you are not losing your touch." Light laughter followed the statement before she said, "It has been perhaps 4 centuries since I have passed through Italy and it is one of the countries that I miss the most." A soft sigh escaped her blood red lips.

Chiara DeLuca turned her head to gaze over the rest of the crowd. "It was. Dashing young nobles that thought escaping into the gardens for a midnight walk with a lady was taboo, thus making it more entertaining. There weren't as many people either, making the bite that much more.... Indulgent. Being able to take your time." Another sigh escaped her lips before she turned her face towards her dance partner again and surprise widened her blue eyes for a moment. "Oh! And my apologies, I am Chiara DeLuca," the introduction was short and succinct.

Chiara DeLuca returned the smile, coming to a stop when Uriel had. "Is the Masquerade over then, Uriel Spencer?" she said, wondering if the music had simply stopped for now, or for good. "And, it is a pleasure to have met you," she added on, realizing that otherwise she sounded rude.

Chiara DeLuca laughed as Uriel lifted the boy up and made the introduction. "Well met, young gentleman. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." She bowed her head to him with a smile.

Chiara DeLuca grinned at both of the other vampires and then looked towards the windows as the illusion faded, noting the time. "I do apologize, but I didn't realize the time. I have somewhere to be..." more light laughter as she continued, "Actually, I am quite late, but it was fun to be caught up in a time that I have not visited in quite awhile."

Chiara DeLuca stepped into the bar... Apparently at the wrong time. Pandemonium was a good word for what she saw in front of her. A man in some sort of biohazard suit holding a gun, pointing it towards a man that was on the ground bleeding. Several other figures were either leaving the bar or coming in to the chaos willingly. Snarling, Chiara stepped forward and leveled a glare at the man with the gun. "Drop your weapon," would be her only statement, "Unless you want to play with a vampire next?"

arched her eyebrow as the man listened to her, sort of. At least his weapon was holstered. Seeing the man running towards the downed man, she ran towards Ivan with great speed, hoping to at least knock him away from his target. She had a small frame but it was backed by vampiric strength so she hoped to at least give the injured man a shot at escape.

Chiara DeLuca changed her plans mid-motion and darted to Ivan's side as he kept barreling across the room. She twisted, kicking her leg out and around in a sweep kick to try to knock him off of his feet.

Chiara DeLuca went to twist away from the man before his pistol fired but still ended up taking a hit in the side of her mid-section. Hissing, her fangs bared, she stayed low to the ground as her hand went to her wound to hold in the precious blood. "Do you realize, maggot, that we are stuck with bottled blood in this god forsaken town? We do not take from the unwilling. At least the ones that actually try to live amongst you, do not. I am not an outlaw vampire, so I do not take whatever I choose. And neither should you!" She ran towards the man, tumbling forward so that her body spun into a front handspring and when she came back around she aimed another kick at Ivan's torso, hoping to knock him down and land on his chest.

Chiara DeLuca felt her feet connect with the man's chest yet he had braced himself and he barely moved as the result of her attack. Black liquid sprayed towards her and using her lightning quick reflex she turned, feeling the viscous liquid coat her hair and upper left torso. "Gods be damned, what ARE you?" she asked, teeth clenched in anger. She took two steps back, afraid that at any second whatever the liquid was would start burning her flesh or infect her wound if it spread too far down her skin.

Chiara DeLuca watched in confusion as the man she had been fighting dashed off and out of the bar. Afraid to touch the liquid that he had sprayed onto her flesh, she held her arm out as if scared to let it touch any more skin than it already had. "That is the last time I step in to save people who are unwilling to assist." From her viewpoint, no one had helped her other than the wounded gentleman. She marched off to the stairwell leading upstairs, passing Jaxon on her way, a slight smile curved her lips but she stayed a good distance away from him just in case the liquid encasing her hair and side was toxic to humans. "I have to go grab a shower," she muttered in lieu of an explanation and proceeded upstairs.

Chiara DeLuca came back down the stairs, dressed in clothing that wasn't covered by the disgusting black liquid that had been sprayed on her earlier. Thankfully, she had a room here since she frequented the bar til the early morning hours, which meant she had to sleep here rather than travel home in the daylight. So she had found an old black flutter-sleeved top and a matching skirt along with her knee-high leather boots that clicked against the stairs. Once in the bar, she took a seat by Jaxon and studied him for a moment, realizing something was different. "You've had your surgery, then?"

Chiara DeLuca rolled her eyes, but smiled at Jaxon and taking his assessment as a compliment since he knew how to fight. "Could have used your help. No one else would step up and I bet one bullet right through his head would've helped quite a bit." She kept eye contact, which would probably make most mortals look away or cringe, but she wasn't trying to use her powers on Jaxon, she was just intrigued by his surgery. "Did it hurt? How are they working for you?" One of her hands went idly to her left side and rubbed it as if rubbing the pain away. The wound she had gotten from the zombie had healed, but it still felt sore.

Chiara DeLuca laughed and shook her head. "Don't expect me to take you up on that offer. I can take a few hits but guns aren't something that I can really fight against." She opened her mouth and pointed to her fangs before closing her lips again. "Ever heard the phrase 'Don't bring a knife to a gun fight?" She half smirked, half smiled, another quick burst of laughter escaping. "I am sorry about the migraines and such though, but glad you are no longer experiencing them. Have you tried the shooting range or anything similar?"
