Being one of the oldest nations he has seen a great deal of things and likes to be very cheerful, always looking on the brighter side of most situations. He is fairly hard to upset unless it comes to Korea, who is a constant headache to him but even then he deals. He gets along with pretty much everyone, Russia being one that is the "you stay on your side of the line" relationships. He is famous for always having his pandas or a Shinatty-chan doll, who was a man breaking into his house with a Hello Kitty mask then he thought he was the real Hello Kitty. Later on his boss, a dragon drew a mouth on his Hello Kitty doll it then became Shinatty-chan. He is also extremely superstitious and religious despite the times, and will believe almost anything he is told. Being very blunt he will 9 times out of 10 say what ever is on his mind at the time.
Shinatty-chan, and his Pandas
The written history of China first coming to being is around 1100 BC to 1600 BC. In 221 BC, Qin Shi Huangdi united the various warring kingdoms and created the first Chinese empire. The origins of his culture, literature and philosophy, developed during the Zhou Dynasty (1122 BC to 256 BC) that was followed by the Shang.
Going forward to around 1368, he had go threw many Dynasties with many different Emperors. The hardest Dynasty for him had to have been the Ming. Even though the Ming was most of the reason he was catching up to most of the Europe nations industrial wise.
He was no long as isolated as before, foreign trade and other contacts with other nations, particularly Japan, increased considerably. He even began to explore all of the Indian Ocean, reaching East Africa with his voyages. He had become very powerful and began to become a bit more prideful the usual demanding other nations to present tribute to him. He built his army and made a navy then moved to conquered Vietnam for around 20 years, while the his fleet sailed the China seas and the Indian Ocean, cruising as far as the east coast of Africa. He was in prime, even though he was still behind Europe in technological and military power.
Then in 1449-1542 the Mongols began to invade and harass him, and then he had to start dealing with Japanese pirates attacking his coast. Then the deadliest earthquake of all times, the Shaanxi earthquake of 1556 killed around 830,000 of his people happened and that???s when he really began to have to look at the brighter side of things. Finally after all this he was able to finish his Great Wall, after that many more things happened like the Sino-French War (1883-1885) and then the first Sino-Japanese War (1894-1895). Then there was the Boxer Rebellion where he had to call on the aid of Russia, France, UK, and other nations. Later on he with Russia's assistance, entered into an alliance with the fledgling Communist Party of China.
Before WWII Japan began a full invasion of his nation Russia quickly lent support to China, effectively ending China's prior cooperation with Germany. Then on going attacks finally made US, UK, other Western Allies and China declare war on Japan. After a lot of fighting they were finally able to end the war and everyone seemed fine. After WWII he eventually established the full People's Republic of China. Even though the Great Depression did not affect him much, the end of his own civil war left him essentially bankrupt.
