My Queen...
a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by CHain_Way

Description

Image

Age : 478 (Appears in his late twenties)

Species : Vampire (Non-pure)

Eyes : A deep, almost mesmorising red.

Hair : A dirty, metallic silver in hue, it hangs loosely down to his mid back, unless tied back in a simple loose ponytail, often for special occasions.

Skin tone/Body type : A rather pale shade, as befits one who had remained long dead. He is also very tall at 6'4 and slender in his figure, possessing little in the way of muscle despite holding natural vampiric strength.

Outfit : Rtaher flamboyant yet simple at once; He wears a basic white shirt with a deep, slightly frilled V-nech down to his mid chest, this also has rather large cuffs clipped together usually with dark silver cufflinks sporting the letters 'C' and 'E'. His bottom half is clad in simple black leather leggings, a brown belt holding a slender silver rapier tied about his waist to be finished with knee-length, black buckled boots.

Personality

He is quite a poetic man of a refigned and dignified manner. He rather hates the image of his kin as most are seen as vicious animals, hell-bent on devouring as many poor damsels as possible. He himself however, is nothing of the sort, indeed, he prides himself of remaining calm and collected, never succumbing the the bloodlust that he is cursed with. His way of speaking can often be somewhat odd as he was a man of the era of romanticism, and so can come across as over the top and flamboyant, however on occasion he is known to utter the odd curse (under his breath, of course).

Perhaps surprisingly, he is very loyal to the select few he values as allies, indeed his love of his Queen, his beloved Sire remains firm and strong even after over 300 years of her death.

Clive Esteep made his way in silence along the worn path that led from the bustling city to the high cliff tops that overlooed the great ocean, his long silver hair drifting back in the slight breeze and he allowed himself a moment to take a deep yet unneeded breath. "The scent of the ocean is unchanging, even as nothing else is..." He spoke to himself, a smile curling on pale lips as he continued on his way, his tall frame held with dignity and pose.

As he came to the cliffs he paused, eyes of deep crimson blinking slowly as he saw a lone figure standing against the skyline and he was turly surprised by the pure white of her hair. 'Just like Her...' He thought inwardly, watching for a moment longer before he allowed his footfalls to become audible; boots clicking quietly on the rocks.

"So very strange it is; to see another upon such a lonely cliff. Perhaps you are a Lady of the Moon? With hair that mirrors her brilliance?" he arched an eyebrow, coming to a stop several respectful paces away.

Clive Esteep blinked slowly as the woman did not turn, his sensitive ears picking up the undertones of sadness that lined her words, and a small smile came to his features as he moved closer, pausing when he was standing by her side, still leaving a good distance between them. "Ah... Your words are lined with sorrow... It fits this area I fear, for despite its beauty... It is at heart a somber place." He sighed quietly, shifting his stance to face her, arms crossing lightly across his chest.

"Might I ask why you make an escape to such a remote location? most at this time find comfort in houses with loved ones... And yet here you are; A lady of poise and beauty." He was not giving empty flattery, he was simply one who enjoyed giving compliments where they were due.

After a moment he looked back to the sea. "If I am prying, please tell me so, I do not mean to intrude on your privacy."

Clive Esteep offered her a small smile as she glanced his way, eyes remaining unblinking upon her face as she studied his deep red eyes. He again noted the sadness hidden within her expression and sighed quietly, being further reminded of his lost Queen.

As she spoke to him he turned his gaze back to the rolling waves, his eyes drifting to and fro as he followed their crashing upon the shore so many feet below. "Ah, I see... You seem to be one of great pain... A shame that things are not bright as the moon that watched us." He paused for several moments before smiling to himself and lifting his head to gaze up at the pale moon and continuing. "As for myself... I frequently visit this place at this time... Something of a routine for myself... The daylight is angered by my presence and so shuns me. The moon is welcoming, softer..." -c-

Clive Esteep
Again he trailed off as he looked sideways at her before he dipped his upper body forward into a formal bow, hand resting up a heart that had long since ceased beating. "Please, ofrgive my lack of manners. I am Esteep. Clive Esteep... It is a rare delight to meet one such as yourself." He then reached out for a hand, intending to take and kiss the top if he was so allowed, otherwise he would simply stand once again.

Clive Esteep smiled simply as she moved away, lifting a hand to politely halt her apologies. "Please, there is no need for explinations if you do not with to offer then. Certainly you need not apologise; if anything I was too forward, please forgive me." He dipped his head slightly, a sliver of silver hair drifting to rest upon his front as he looked up once again.

"Whisper..." He repeated in a gentle tone, as if sampling how it sounded, closing his eyes as he sighed quietly. "Such an intriguing name... Quiet, yet purposeful... Gentle yet firm... But easily misheard and not understood." He nodded slowly.

Perhaps it would be strange that he would read so much into a name, but he was something of a poet at heart, and so looked deeply into almost everything. "I would like to try and ease your worries as we both remain here, should you allow me to... The place is less lonely at this time."

Clive Esteep nodded slowly, a happy smile coming to his features as he moved closer to the edge of the cliff, crouching upon the ridge and resting a slender, pale hand against the cold ground. "There are those who would stake a claim to the place... I am glad that you are not one of those, however." He stood once again and, despite feeling disappointed that she would not let him aid her, he accepted her privacy and turned round, nodding at her question.

"Ah... Indeed I do. The piano and violin are favorites of mine... I like to think I can play the former, also." he chuckled quietly. He could, in fact play to a practically professional degree, however he was not one for boasting.

"What of yourself? Are you fond of music and the arts?" He tilted his head curiously to one side, the moon behind him giving him a strange halo.

Clive Esteep was pleased that he had drawn a smile from her features and nodded firmly, hoping to continue this topic; beauty was always much more radient when it was happy, as it was meant to be. "Ah, I also dance... Though like yourself the chance has not come... I have not had a partner for a number of years..." It was then his turn to have a brief flicker of sadness cross over his face, however it was fleeting and soon he was smiling softly once again.

He then noted the threat of her withdrawing once again, and took a slow step forward to ensure she would not be surprised by it. "Ah, well if you wish to learn I could teach you the piano...? It is a wonderful instrument, I am a believer in music's ability to reveal one's soul to those who will truly listen..."

He trailed off, blinking slowly. "But then, perhaps I am merely old fashioned and strange, hm?" He laughed gentlyed, shaking his head.

Clive Esteep allowed a slightly disappointed frown to come to his features as she initially refused his offer, and he shook his head slowly, remaining silent until her words drifted off into almost nothing. He was curious as to what could have occurred to draw such reactions, however still he would not pry. "Ah, but there is always time, should one look for it... One should never forget to indulge one's habits; to not do so will lead to sadness and unfufilment... Should you wish to learn, I am willing to teach, and surely that is all that matters?"

He then tilted his head in the other direction as it seemed she would accept after all and nodded, smiling once again. "Wonderful then... A pity I haven't the ability to draw a piano from the air... Music would complete this scene we share perfectly, do you not agree?"

Clive Esteep blinked thoughtfully and folded his arms, his hair blowing sideways due to the wind that blew once again. He thought she may have meant the sound of rushing water, the gentle howls of the wind, however the look of inner clam, of peace seemed to him, like it was too pure for such simple things. "Ah... Well I am glad music has been restored to you... if I played but a small part in that, I am happy." He bowed his head slightly.

A smile then came to his features as he nodded once again at her following words, a hand moving to rest a fingertip against his bottom lip. "I am right...? Ah, I see... Well I hope this means that you will take me up on my offer of both dance and piano? As I said; I believe the arts can cure an ailing heart... As you seem to hold, if I may be so bold."

Clive Esteep would be standing on the edge of the same cliff he had met the silver haired beauty several nights ago. Of course, he remembered her name, however he decided to remember her in that fashion, and a small smile came to his features as he dark red eyes reflected the pale white of the crescent moon. "Of all those I have seen... So few remind me of you, my Queen..." He mused to the night air as he stepped forward of the cliff's edge.

He did not fall or falter as he continued to simply walk on thin hair as if he were climbing a set of stairs, pausing with a heavy sigh as he raised a hand, trying to grip the moon. "And yet none are as perfect as You... But perhaps this one... Will ease Your passing..." He chuckled quietly in an oddly lyrical fashion, tucking his long white hair behind his slightly pointed ears.

"So lonely the cliff is again tonight... Hopefully it will not remain such." He added to himself as he remained stood on thin air, gaze unwavering from the silver moon.

Clive Esteep blinked slowly as, so lost in his inner musings was he, that he failed to hear the gentle footfalls of the woman and so he turned with a surprised yet pleased smile as he heard her voice. "Ahh, Whisper." He said with a small bow of the head as he walked back to the cliff, idly brushing down the frills adorning the front of his shirt.

"I am pleased to see you again... I had not expected to do so, but it is certainly a pleasure." He would have reached forward to kiss her hand, however he remembered the previous night's incident, and so merely chuckled, lifting a hand to blow a kiss in her direction. "I am often alone, however it is not a bad thing... Not always at least. The loneliness caused me to meet you in the first place, did it not?"

He then tilted his head to one side. "But, I must ask; why are you out yet again? Are the pressures of the city draining on you?" His voice was laced with genuine concern, as were his deep eyes.

Clive Esteep nodded simply, understanding from her brief reply and swift subject change that she didn't wish to discuss it, and so he would not press her. He merely sighed, tongue flicking out briefly to rest against a pointed canine before he replied. "Much the same reason as yourself... This place is wonderful for thought and peace... You can forget your concerns, if only for a little while here."

He bowed his head to her. "Ah, but I am discussing depressing topics... I have been thinking about my offer to teach you how to play the piano, and should you still be interested I prepared some basic scales. Of course, I am not at all suggesting you come to my house... o do such a thing would be most inappropriate, but I know a small open air concert hall nearby that will be empty...?" He trailed off in a questioning manner.

Clive Esteep simply remained smiling gently at her, his eyes occasionally drifting to her silver hair that reminded him ever so much of the one he had lost. 'Beautiful.' He thought simply as he watched the strands blow in the slight breeze (whether this was a compliment to Whisper, or his lost Queen was uncertain) before he looked back into her face, nodding happily as she spoke. "Ah yes indeed... Rather perfect."

He then turned off to the side slightly, extending an arm for her to take, should she wish to. "Shall we go then, Lady Whisper? The night is young and perhaps you will have a knack for the instrument... Though I have never taught before so you'll have to forgive any errors I make." He smiled gently, feeling genuinely happy; music was a great source of joy for him in his long 'life'.

Clive Esteep 's creator should have mentioned the vampire's long sleeves, but never mind. Clive paused at her hesitation before remembering the previous dislike for physical contact and smiled happily, rolling down the recently rolled-up sleeves to cover his arms. "Ah, do forgive me... If you would rather simply walk then that is fine, however likewise, my arm is there, should you wish to take it."

He then laughed quietly and nodded at her words, bowing deeply. "Well, Lady Whisper I will do my best to teach you. The basics first, then onwards and upwards as they say..." He smiled gently, remaining still as he re-offered the now covered arm, and would move onward with her whether she took it or not.

Clive Esteep merely continued to smile, being not at all insulted by her ignoring of him arm as he lowered it and set off along the rocky path towards the open air concert hall he knew was nearby. "Hm?" He was slightly taken aback by the question, and a rather embarrassed smile came to his features as he nodded.

"Why yes, yes I do... But I have only written two pieces... Only one has been played in its entirety, however..." He trailed off, head lowering slightly as he added in an undertone. "They are somewhat... Personal pieces..." He then cleared his throat and smiled once again.

"Ah, my apologies... I am sure that one day you will write your own sheets also, and I am also sure that they will be wonderful works of art."

Clive Esteep blinked slowly up at the large bar, his form covered by a very large black cloak that covered his entire figure, and a look of slight pain and discomfort was on his pale features. After a moment he sighed, deciding that it would be better inside than out, and so he stepped through the threshold, tugging down the hood as he did so.

"Ah... You are most cruel Mistress..." He mused quietly, shaking his head slowly before he turned his reddened eyes to the room, pausing as they landed on Whisper, a small smile coming to his lips as he moved towards her in silence. "It is nice to see you away from the lonely cliff, Lady Whisper." He said to announce his presence, hands working to remove the rather heavy, yet necessary cloak.

"You seem to be in high spirits...?" He added, arching a white eyebrow.

Clive Esteep nodded quite happily at her words and replied smoothly, sliding off his cloak finally as he did so. "Ah, yes, well... This is the first time I have ventured into the city itself, truth be told... Good fortune that you are here also... It is nice to see a familiar face." He then paused to glance about the room, eyes resting briefly on the peculiar alien creature before moving back to Whisper. "And indeed you're right... I assume more often it is busy though..."

At the offer of a seat he blinked for a moment before shaking his head. "Ah, I would be happy to join you; however I would enjoy buying you a drink first... That is, if you don't mind...?" He trailed off, turning to look at the bar.

Clive Esteep made a thoughtful sound as he looked about the room, mulling over Whisper's words and he nodded in agreement. "I can understand that, but unfortunately times change and places change also..." He then tilted his head to one side, a flicker of sadness passing over his features as he noted her final comment and the frown that came with it.

"I do not... You are right... However I am quite alright for the moment." He cleared his throat quietly, adding soon after, "What would you enjoy then? Simple water? Or perhaps something with taste?"

His eyes then blinked once again down at the odd creature, staring at it for a moment before looking to Whisper, lifting an eyebrow as he vaguely gestured in its direction to silently ask if it was bothering her.
