Outside the bar, several shadowy figures lined up. One by one they stacked up outside the door, on either side. Two patrols resting their hands behind two assault officers, raising their hard-light gauntlets to the door. "SWAT Follow up the rear, this is clean and quiet, no terran casualties, engage and neutralize all threats." The Officer's commander said, then they nodded, and the Hardlight shield was ignited.

"Three... two... one..."

The door was thrown open and a squad of six CPF Officers stormed into the bar, stacked behind the leads equipped with hard-light shields, they fanned out in two columns of three.

"Alright everyone, hands where we can see them!" The lead called out. He signaled the left column to move immediately for the stairs, while a single SWAT Covered the door.

"Stay calm, hands where we can see them, we're here to help you."

The men maintained their presence in the bar itself, one of them checking his watch before there was a sound of scuffling upstairs, followed by screaming and shouting. Two patrolmen came back down the stairs with a scraggly looking man in their grasp, cuffed and bound and struggling.

"Please! Don't take me! Please! I worship his shadow! I worship his shadow!" He pleaded, and the Officers checked their data. "Rodin of the Ostral B Pair, you are hereby charged with heresy and are at the mercy of the Divine Order." They said, gesturing for the man to be carried out, pleading for his life.

"Let's roll out." The lead said, and as quickly as the men filed in, they filed out.

Confederation Protection Force officers also moved through the bar, two patrolmen and a single detective began to take photos of the carnage, noting the disruptor blasts that scored the wall.

"Looks like this damage was done by a Disruptor II." The Detective said, taking a photo. "Probably the Ha'la'tha."

The CPF Officers lined up outside room 217, with two Assault officers igniting their hardlight shields. "Prepare to breach, be ready for anything." They said, as one of the SWAT Officers placed a charge on the door, and they backed up, weapons drawn and readied for anything.

"Move!" The charge detonated, and the two CPF With their hard light shields readied and extended entered the door, setting off whatever traps were prepared against their hard light shields.

The hotel filled with chaos, as more CPF Moved in. "Search every room!" With the 217 entry team barking. "She's not here!" And another sergeant growling. "Seal off the motel, I want a perimeter both above and below ground!"

Outside the bar, four CPF Patrol vehicles slowly pulled up to the bar itself, with the CPF Vehicles in position, two Patrol officers moved from the car and approached the bar, preparing themselves for whatever was on the other side. It was then the bar door itself creaked open, and the two Patrolmen walked into the bar.

"We recieved a call regarding violence against Citizens of the Empire." The Officers stated, as they surveyed the bar. Each of them tentatively reaching for their holstered disruptor pistols, while SWAT And assault officers positioned themselves outside in silence.

The CPF Officers turned to Sonja. "You're Aschen? We request Identity verification." He said, producing a small syringe like object. "We're going to check your DNA with the central registry." The Patrolman said, checking the facial software.

"Let me see your passport and Provincial ID." He said, turning to the floating Camera. Then back to Sonja. "And a description of the assailants after your verification."

The CPF Officers nodded. "We worship his shadow." Returning the seemingly everyday greeting among the group. "Identity's been verified, Sonja Petralia, Gemonese." He said, looking up to her. "What brings a lovely Gemonese like yourself to a dump like this? Dark Zone has many specters." The Officer added, going over the information. "You're verified, so you said these men attacked you?" He said, looking to the other officer, who shrugged.

"Heretics most likely, disgruntled Terrans." He said, turning to Sonja, as the first officer spoke. "Android woman with black hair? Sounds like Aiyanna, 'cept they decommissioned her long ago." He said, throwing the disposable lance into the trash.

"Were you harmed? Do you request that we locate them and punish them?"

In the distance, the sound of european style sirens pierced the air. It was the sound of approaching police vehicles. Down Main street, six Black, white and blue police cars screamed down Main street, their blue flashing lights reflected off the buildings on either side.

As the vehicles grew closer, the sirens grew louder. And it seemed that with the Police vehicles was a single van, with men hanging from the sides of the van with special railing.

The vehicles got closer, and the sirens grew louder. "Confirmed target is in Gambit's Bar, they are armed and extremely dangerous, use extreme caution." The Sergeant ordered.

The sirens continued to grow louder as the vehicles got closer, eventually they would be extremely loud and rather close, the sound of tires screeching outside echoing through the bar, along with flashing blue lights flickering through the windows.

"Go go go!" The Sergeant shouted, as several officers stacked up on the door and the windows. However they couldn't be seen from inside the bar. The side entrance, the front door, and the back kitchen entrance were quickly covered by the officers. "Get those breachers in formation." The Commander said, as several CPF Assault officers lined up front, and readied their wrist mounted hard light shield gauntlets.

"Don't ignite shields just yet." They said, readying for the breach.

Suddenly, a loudspeaker voice pierced the bar.

"Attention Armed Militants, we know you're in there! Come out with your hands up and surrender!"

There was a brief pause.

"We will not ask a third time, Armed Militants, come out and surrender!" It was clear the orders were directed at Geist and the other Operators.

There was another audible silence. "They're not going to surrender..." One of the Patrol officers said, and the signal was given.

"Alright, take them down." They said, and the door was slowly pushed open, the breaching officer stormed in, igniting his hard-light shield generator, which projected a large rectangular shield on his arm. Two more followed suit, creating a wall of shield, as a handful of SWAT officers moved in, all weapons centered on Geist and Lord.

"Hands where we can see them! Now! Drop your weapons!" The Lead ordered.

Their radios clacked. "CPF Three-niner-eight I've got RDA And Reverence I inbound, ETA One millicenton. Military has been appraised of the situation, Admiral Whitcomb has dispatched resources should you require them."

"Your rebellion and heresy ends here!" A Patrol officer shouted. "You will never harm our citizens again!"

The Patrol officer raised his weapon. "Your men came in here yesterday and accosted one of our citizens, threatened them with detainment and death. It's also under our attention you gave orders to kill or detain Aschen citizens, this is an act of aggression against the peace and dignity of the Empire!"

"You will answer to the charges or face death!"

The Swat officer narrowed his eyes. "Try me." He said, lining the man up in his holographic crosshairs.

"They're buying time for something." A Patrol officer said, and the Sergeant nodded. "So are we." He added. His radio clattering.

"Half a millicenton, hold out and they'll be on station." Meanwhile the Sergeant rose slightly from behind the hard light wall.

He then held up a tape recorder.

"Yes there is. My orders are to detain or kill all Aschen since one of our Operators Lord was attacked a few months back. I am to find the one responsible and bring them to justice." The words uttered were in Geist's voice.

"Aggression against the peace and dignity of the Empire. Face your charges like a man, or run like the coward heretics you are."

Several of the men began to feel themselves get colder as if some kind of cryogenics were at work, none of them had any defenses capable of stopping this, The sergeant immediately recognized the Black Hand but was unable to respond, merely pointing to the two men. "Anti... mana.." He croaked before he froze up.

The sound of screeching tires echoed outside, as several white Technicals filled the street.

The CPF Officers, freed up from the sudden deployment of Anti-Magic quickly moved towards Geist, the SWAT officers taking advantage of his temporary daze to quickly restrain and bring him to the ground, they too had superhuman strength and stamina, no thanks to Aschen enhancements.

"We won't let these guys escape!" The Sergeant called out. "We could use your help though! Those mercenaries are struggling with that one!" They said, pointing to Lord.

I laugh loudly as the officer points at me you fools think you can stop me I am bondage master not even superman himself was able to stop me you don't stand a chance not that you would know who superman is anyways but just try it my strength is unmatched to any other I have ever faced grabs the Sergeant before he can make a move and heads out the door with him! I hate cops always have always will!
