Connor and Murphy MacManus

And Shepards we shall be, For Thee, my Lord, For Thee. Power hath decended forth from thy hand that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command. And we shall flow a river forth to thee, and teeming with souls shall ever it be.

Connor and Murphy MacManus walked into the bar, Connor before Murph, each reaching into their own pockets to pull out a pack of smokes. Each pulled one from their pack and tucked it behind their ears, just in case there were "no smoking" signs around. Such good little boys.

The Twins stepped up to the bar, sliding up onto seperate barstools and looked at eachother. They'd let the bartender take their time, especially since they were hoping for one in particular.

"Think Aequitas' husband'll show?" Murph asked, his accent showing just how Irish the two truely were.

"Aye. He has to, don' he? We were tol', now, righ'?" Connor's accent was even more deep than his brother's, though they were perfectly understandable.

"Right. Bu' it isn' the first time Aequ's pulled some trick on us. Remember the las' time he said something was goin' to happen?"

"Aye. It did, eventually. You jes' fell asleep, firs'."

"You shot me, that day, remember?"

"Oh yeah."

Connor and Murphy MacManus glanced toward the door, simultaneously. "How are we supposed to know when he ge's here, Connor?" Murph asked with a slight frown.

"We're supposed to ask for the... Lemme see..." He froze a moment in thought. "God-damned, bloody sonsofa Ra-worshipping vampire." He looked over to his brother. "Romeo's words."

"Romeo's worse than we are."

"Aye. He'll get over it some day."

Connor and Murphy MacManus both jumped. They hadn't expected the response.

Connor slowly turned his head toward the bartender, raising a brow. "You the one we bin hearin' about?" the Irishman said with a grin.

"He's got to be, don' 'e? How many vampires do -you- know?" Murph, too, looked at the vampire, grinning.

Connor couldn't hardly believe his ears. "Vampire.. Well, it takes all sor's. Ye wouldn' 'appen to be Milo Rahal, would yeh?"

"Yea, we need ta speak with yeh, if'n ye are. Somethin' about... Trappin' a frien' inta marriage?"

Connor looked to Murph. "You know better. Romeo always exaggerates."

"I know. But, ye know what Doc says, right?"

They both spouted off in unison: "If you can' take the heat, don't cross the road."

"Night. That's the problem." Connor grinned. "Ye have no fear in us, boy'o. Yet."

Murph grinned, leaning on the bar. "So, you're the one Romeo's been complainin' about, eh?" He glanced at the vampire's wrist. "Ye must be. That's definitely Aequitas' handywork."

Connor and Murphy MacManus both burst out laughing. "Hell no!" Connor said with a grin. "If anyone can take care of themself, it's your husband."

"Yeah, he even dodges more bullets than his cousin, and Romeo's quick." Murphy grinned, taking the cigarrette from behind his ear. "We allowed, in here?"

Murph nodded his thanks and tucked the butt end of the cigarrette between his lips and lighting it. "Thanks." He, absentmindedly, looked to the wanted posters on the wall. His new way of finding out what was up.

Connor did the same, concerning the cigarrette. "Romeo don' seem ta like anyone who's not Catholic, anymore. Though, 'e is only this bad when it means Aequ.." The man shrugged. "I suppose he's jus' worried. Rumor has it, you two were plannin' on changin' a few of your vows, if Romeo was right."

Murph's eyes flickered from one poster, to the door, then back. "Twenty-five million..." He shook his head, stood up, and lightly touched his brother's shoulder. "Checkin' somethin' out." At Connor's nod, Murphy moved over to the posters, looking at the one with Tahira's name. He then searched his eyes through the room. "We missed one..." His eyes stopped when he saw the woman he was looking for.

Connor grinned. "Ahah! The rumor is true," the Irishman said, taking a drag off his smoke, and, out of courtesy, exhaling in a different direction. "If Aequ hinted at it, then he meant it."

Connor nodded. "I'm sure he already knows, Milo. He's strong, though."

Murph saw Tahira, then glanced back at the poster. Yep. Her. He took down the poster, walked over to the woman, and put it down on the table in front of the Hataf woman. "I wonder, how long was this taken?"

Murphy flattened out the paper. "How many?"

Connor nodded. "Aye, I do. He's a strong lad. If he thinks he can, he will."

Murphy nodded. "I'm not a bounty hunter, lass," he said quietly, letting the poster go limp. "You were in the Hataf.. I'm just wondering how we missed you."

Connor nodded. "Of course. I'm sure Aequitas is just as anxious as you are."

Murphy nodded. "Yes, Tahira, they do." He looked to the woman, a slight frown on his lips.

Connor grinned, nodding. "Romeo's going to flip."

Murphy lightly patted the woman's shoulder. Aye, he'd noticed. "Truth is always between one story and another."

Connor nodded slightly. "You're right. But what's to say Aequ'll keep it quiet that long? Family means everything to that boy."

Murphy nodded slightly. "The truth, Tahira Ali. If they say you are still theirs, and you say you are not, then what is the truth?" He had not been informed by Aequitas of the woman's lack of a bad soul.

"Trust me, lad. Aequ's got a good head on 'im. 'e isn' going to let Romeo take anything too far."

"If?" Murphy shook his head. "There is no if, in the matter." He leaned forward, against the table, letting his rosary fall forward into the open.

"He won't. Speaking of.. Where is your husband, anyways? I haven't seen him since the last raid."

Murphy looked down, a slight smile on his lips. "You are a good woman, Tahira.. Even if you were not before." He gingerly touched his hand to hers.

Connor raised a brow, before getting the jist of it. He grinned. "Someone excited him a bit too much last night, eh?"

Murphy chuckled softly, shaking his head. "If you were not, Tahira, you would not still be sitting here, let me assure you. Not if you've met [/b]someone else in our little family.[/b]"

"So... We should call Aequitas 'Ra', next time we see him?"

Murphy shook his head once more, wrapping his hand around the cross. "God always has a reason, Ali. Always."

"Alright, as a joke, then," Connor started with a grin before---

Aequitas took a couple steps into the bar before he recognized the main three voices that he'd heard. "If it isn't the Saint's of South Boston!"

"Alright then, Tahira," the Irishman said quietly, before hearing his title called out. "Hey Aequi!" He grinned over at them, before returning to his prior conversation. "May I sit with you?"

Connor laughed. "Hello 'Pharoah'," he teased. Aequitas turned red, stepped up behind the Irishman, and punched his shoulder.

"Hush, you." He then looked up to his husband. "Mi Amor, these are the twins, I've been telling you of."

Murph nodded and pulled out the chair, taking a drag from the nearly forgotten cigarette, and sat down. "Murphy MacManus. My name's been on the news a few times."

Connor was attempting not to laugh, earning him another punch in the shoulder. "Fuc-- Did you have to hit me so hard?"

"Shut up, mick." Aequitas glared at Connor, playfully, before looking up at his husband. "And stay away from you even a moment longer?"

Aequitas grinned against the man's lips. "Only if we choose not to behave," he said quietly, jumping as a small cough was made by Connor.

"Meeting you both at the same time is an issue, I take it?"

Murph, since his discussion partner was gone, sidled his way back over to the bar. "Hey, Aequi. Where've ya been, man? And why the hell weren't we invited to your wedding?"

Connor and Murphy MacManus looked at each other, mock incredulously. "Aequi? Elope? No way!" Murph said, holding back a laugh.

"Our little Mexican goodie-boy? Never!" Connor grinned, looking back to the couple.

Aequitas, shuddering, had tilted his head to the side, allowing his husband more room to nibble.

Aequitas groaned quietly, leaning against his husband with a grin. "You two would have been invited if it were a real wedding. Which can't happen until Romeo gets his head out of his ass and decides he's willing to be family to a vampire or two."

Murph shrugged and went back to the other table, back to talking with Tahira. "Me name's Murphy MacManus. I've been in the papers, a bit. Well. Me, My brother, Romeo and Aequitas, anyways."

Murph shrugged. "Just call my Murph, if it helps." He nodded slowly. "Well, we're 'notorious mass murderers, responsible for the death of dozens of gangsters across the US'. It's a living."

Aequ grinned, and Connor burst out laughing. "Good luck trying to convince Romeo."

Aequ shrugged. "He has no choice in the matter, Connor. And if he don' like it, he can suck it."

Murph nodded. "You're right, Tahira, it's not easy." He rubbed his hands together. "We kill only the bad men.. The rest of the members from your cell, for example. Each have crossed the River. Kill all that which is evil, so that which is good may flourish."

Aequitas grinned wide, before kissing the man back. "We can..?"

"Congrats, Aequi. Now the term 'till death do you part' doesn't mean shit."
