Canine entered though the back, pausing to sniff the air with a loud snort. There was a lot of sweat, beer and the distinct smell of vampire. The werewolf wasn't sure which family it was, he'd have to ask. Canine adjusted his stark black leather jacket and opened the door his soon-to-arrive companion.

Egh, she could smell it in the air. Others like her, no doubt dirty specimens still clamoring for invisible power. The woman shouldered her way in, sending a glare around before looking to Canine.

"You really want to drink here?" There was a smile in her voice, but nowhere else about her.

Good? It was all she could do to not snort. He wouldn't know good if it bit him in the tail. Still she rolled her eyes and threw the buckle over her weapon, shooting him the look that said Happy?

"Some beer, and that's it. All we came for," She said it as a warning to herself, but also as a silent treaty. A beer, and they were done. Right?

Canine smiled happily back, nodding once. The werewolf pulled a wallet out of his right pocket, a large steel chain holding it onto his belt, he'd made sure it wasn't in fucking silver for once and pulled out thirty dollars. "Get us something good, like Millers or something, maybe a sixpack if you really want to leave." He handed it over.

"I swear to god I hear someone mumbling to themselves."

"Millers?" This time she really did snort. Sometimes it amazed her how behind the times he was. "Have you ever heard of a microbrewery? I'm sure they've got something from one of them around here," Maybe. This place didn't look promising, but you never knew.

"Yeah," Cuspid scanned looking for the voice, "Hope the brew is better than the company."

"What! They're still around, right?" Canine asked, looking disappointed. "I've heard of them, don't think I'd be patient enough to hang around long enough for the result." This came from a man who sat at a desk reading books until 6 AM, then slept till 4PM because unlike his companion, he couldn't stay awake longer than three days without dying.

"Oh you're talking about those beer store places, right?"

She gave him a hard, blank, familiar stare. The stare that said , Frankly this isn't worth explaining and I can do things much faster without telling you. After holding this look for a moment, Cuspid shot Canine a smile and strolled her way to the bar. Her weapon may have been peace tied, but that didn't mean she couldn't try to be intimidating. After placing the order (two Millers) and paying, she returned to Canine's side.

"So, dig up anything on this city?" She struck up conversation as they waited for their drinks.

Canine pulled up a chair and sat down at a nearby booth. "Well it's currently the biggest home of vampires I've ever seen, every clan you've ever heard of is probably here, it's got more of... People like us from all kinds of places. It's like the biggest clusterfuck ever." Canine replied, looking over the newcomer Jack and back to the woman mumbling to herself.

"Lots of arte- Hey girl! Can you stop mumbling so loudly please?!"

The biggest...Cuspid dropped her head into her hands and rubbed her temples. Where there were vampires, there were vampire hunters. Where there were vampires and vampire hunters, there were usually werewolves.

"Great!" She looked up at him with wide eyes, displaying her teeth in mock humor. In truth, the ladypyre preferred to not be bored, and had essentially chosen this lifestyle. Following Canine, Cuspid glared at the girl under the table. Beers, where were they?

The beer arrived just in time; Canine looked pleasantly surprised. "Oh! I fucken' love you." The werewolf grinned, opening it with his teeth and holding it out to clink against hers. "I've been looking around, there doesn't seem to be a lack of hunters."

Cuspid clinked her beer with a half smile, "Amen to that."

Something, a flicker of paper across the bar caught her eye. Squinting at it, she would read aloud, "The..Blood...Edict. The fuck?"

Canine leaned forward to try and glimpse at the paper that Cuspid had read.

"What? That doesn't sound very healthy for either of us." Canine replied and punctuated with a grunt.

"No..." She said absentmindedly, her brows lowering as she rose to a stand, "Sounds like shit."

Cuspid stomped across the bar, tearing the paper from where it was tacked. The tack landed on her hand, and she let out a yelp, then a hiss. Her eyes were practically fire as she slammed the paper on the table.

"Silver. Thumbtacks. What sadist piece of..." She flopped back down and set to work on her beer. Not worth it.

Canine patted Cuspid's back. "It have an address on it? Sounds like they're askin' for it." Canine offered, they'd already hurt someone he liked. That was something you didn't do, paranormal or not. Canine poured the drink down his throat and with a throaty gasp, pointed at the paper. "Pass it over here, maybe it has some... prospects."

"Yeah, an address and...Here lookit this," She had peered over to get a better look, but something caught her eye specifically.

"Check out this bounty," Cuspid pushed the paper towards Canine, watching his face for his reaction.

Canine stared for a full ten seconds, processing all of this information. "So basically, I have to sign up with these shitbag's if I want to survive another few nights in Wing City? Oh, this is fucking great." Canine said, rubbing his shoulder and checking if his gun was still in his waistband. "That's fucken' bullshit." Canine said, his face resembling something between a dog and a slightly angrier dog.

"...Fuck."

"Hmm..." Cuspid was amused by his initial reaction, but the amusement faded as the severity of the situation made itself present. Grabbing the paper back, she gave it a long, hard look.

"Bullshit indeed," Cuspid drawled out, cooly pulling a lighter from her pocket and setting the corner on fire. With glee, she dropped it to the center of the table as the parchment began to crumble. She seemed...strangely satisfied with this destruction. Her leg, however, had begun to bounce.

"Fuck that. Not doing it," She said defiantly, and even added a ha for effect. After a moment, she looked to Canine, "And I don't think you have a choice. You're kinda the natural enemy. Chances are, it's your hide they want, not your words."

"Sounds like some Marilyn Manson shit anyway. They can sign me up when they manage to drag me in, because they sure ain't killing me or you. It's the other way around." Canine stated matter-of-factually. Canine took another gulp of Millers and shook his head. "Besides, ain't much fun when you're operatin' within the rules. And they ain't never met anyone like me." Canine laughed, leaning on the counter.

"Right," Cuspid had to grin, his go-gettum way always put a smile on her face. It would, eventually, be the death of him. Wasn't that why she stuck around? She flicked her lighter, an amen.

"Kickin' and screamin', the both of us," She lifted her glass to cheers, and tensed as a new scent took on the air. A smelly kind of smell that smelled so smelly that there was no other smelly smell quite like it. Cuspid kept her smile, but with her eyes called out to Canine. Do you smell that?

"Speak of the fuckin' devil." Canine whispered under his breath, grinding his teeth together. That smell never escaped his senses, with so many vampires in Wing City, it was hard to escape. He'd taken to filling their apartment with Pinefresh when it really got to him. Canine whipped his stool around to face October.

He'd take this with some tact. "You sign up for this blood stuff?"
