"That that is one tough rock, I call dibs on one!" Russian exclaimed as he grabbed on of the strange metals and shoved it into his bag. Well looks like they are having some luck, first they find some strange metals that seem to outright resist conventional firearms to the point that not even the blast marks were left, but now... "There is also a crate of weapons? Man things are getting good!" He spoke yet again as he walked over to the crate and began to examine the weapons.

They were definitely old with dust covering each one of them, he was interested. Depending on how powerful they were he could use it in the future, maybe even use the weapon as a blueprint for another weapon. Whatever the case he took out one of the weapons, dusted it off, then checked the clip for the ammo it used. The weapon he held in his hand was definitely a rifle in design, and the clip he held was glowing green. Curious about what it fired he slammed the clip back into the gun at took aim at a piece of scrap metal on the floor and took aim through the weapons scope. The scope was advanced indeed, it began to track the other around him and what type of armour they wore. 'Pretty advanced weapon if you ask me, still curious to know why they why they abbandoned crates of these weapons." He then pulled the trigger of the rifle, launching a ball of green plasma at the metal melting it almost instantly. "Looks like this weapon I have fires plasma, not a fan of energy weapons but this will be useful nonetheless."

After testing out his weapon he began to look at more of the crates scattered around the room, looking at labels for anything that interested him.

When the moronic galoot fired the gun and completely melted the panel, she almost face-palmed.

Glancing back at the door she glared rather annoyed, "Oi Russ the door is still shut, until that Control Room is open we can't do anything so stop playing with your toys and instead get that blasted door to open up. I promise once you do I can check the crew's manifest as well equipment and item manifests. Then we can find out a lot of big questions." pointing towards the door with scowl on her face she shivered, the heating was still not on, perhaps she could, maybe?

It would at least be something useful with that she approached the box she had used to operate the lights and began to try and understand them, commenting quietly to herself as she did. Nothing too extreme nonetheless the heating seem to be controlled via vents and something had blocked them or jammed them, still maybe with some tinkering, perhaps that could provide certain answers? Sighing she carefully coordinated her fingers over the electronic components and screen in front of her, it did show something blocking those vents, "Guys, don't know what it is, but until we get into the control room there will be no heat. Because for some reason the vents that provide heat are jammed, and it seems to be effecting multiply areas of the space station. In the control room I could perhaps completely run a process to clear everything. Though I am still unsure what could be blocking them, these vents are pretty damn sophisicated tech." pausing she took a breath running her hands through her hair in frustration "Rei you recognize any of the tech from this small panel? It shows layout of the vents and all the areas blocked, there is no real pattern."

Rei frowned as Russ as he open fired with the weapon at a random chunk of metal with the newly found weapon. "Good job genius, why don't you put us all through explosive decompression." She grumbled thinking a new rule needed to be made. "When you pick up the weapons, don't bloody fire them immediately." Rei stated pointing to the two men, who always seemed to have other ideas. "Get the door open and then we'll play with the toys, mkay?"

Glancing over her shoulder as Daisy called her name, she made a face again. "Should have dressed warmer then sweetheart." She commented off hand, though would soon admit she herself was a bit cold in her heavy jacket. "Not that sophisticated, just.. different. It's Tarsian.." Rei remarked peering over the other woman's shoulder for a moment at the small electrical panel. "Hm.." She muttered as she stepped in to take a closer look. "If we do this... this.. and this..." Rei mumbled, hands working nimbly across the screen before peering to look at the electronics again. "In all honesty, it's pretty old tech. If my guess is right, the station probably has some sort of fusion plant keeping it running." She continued as she worked through the system to try and find the right commands to open the vents.

Short of ripping the panel out, she was hitting a dead end. "Stupid...horrible... out modded.." Rei grumbled looking at the screen in annoyance.

The top of the crate finally popped open and Seth peered inside, at this point there was no telling what he would find, some unknown indestructible mineral, some borderline life threatening weaponry, some "Canned Powdered Soup? Appena la mia fortuna..." He mumbled and shut the crate. He didn't think he would have much use for ancient canned powdered soup.

Moving on to another crate he set to work on the top. This one was a little newer looking, the seal was also tighter and it took some doing to get the thing loose. As he pry'd the top off he let it slide away, there were cases inside, some sort of cryo-stasis lock boxes, high end stuff. He pulled one out, surprised by the weight of it. "This is more like it." He smiled as he found a space to set the box down and look it over, he tapped a few keys and a screen lit but nothing else happened. Turning it over a few times he sighed and set it back on the table. None of the symbols made sense to him, he doubted he would be able to get it open with force, but when he turned to walk away he found himself carrying the box anyway.

Rei was working on some sort of control panel, though she didn't seem to be making much headway. "Have you tried threatening it with a hammer? If find that works surprisingly more often then one might expect."

Russian tapped the side of head with his finger when Daisy mentioned opening the door. "I just told you that I got it unlocked, but if you want it open right now then alright." He gave a small sigh as he raised his arm with the device attached to it before tapping on a single holographic icon causing the ancient blast door to slowly open. "And sorrrrrry for testing out a weapon that even I have not seen before, when something cool and new just happens to be in a box in pristine condition, who wouldn't want to use it? Yeah I know I am just making up excuses at this point, anyways I got the door open..." He spoke as he snagged a few old bottles of alcohol from one of the crates and placed them in his bag along with the new weapon he grabbed.

As he stood back up he soon began to relize how cold it was, sure he was wearing his fur uniform but his face was not covered in the slightest. His attention sooner turned towards Rei as she was busy with a panel, and she also appeared to not have much luck in making it work. "You get used to working with old tech, heck I use some robots dating back to before humanity even made it past the moon. Mantinence can be a pain but they are very useful in certain situations but anyways keep at it, eventually you get it to work." He commented as he made his way to the blast doors that have just opened and peered inside, nothing but more rubble and another desolate hallway leading deeper in the station to where the control room was. "All clear past these blast doors...Not sure about the side rooms though."

Rolling her eyes in irritation she muttered something along the lines, "Anymore brains and you would be dangerous..." With that her eyes turned towards the control room. The door now open. She immediately ran in with her torch as she searched for the consoles. It was pitch black in here, but hopefully glow of consoles would make things easier. Nonetheless she started using what she had researched tapping the console as they appeared to respond with low hum. Letting out silent elations she continued as she tried to navigate the console as best as she could. Despite her hurry to get the logs, she best probably check the station map from here, thus she pushed a switch and immediately the entire station came up. It was huge although the entire map of the station highlighted all areas, certain sectors appeared to have no oxygen within them. Pressing few more buttons she focused on the vents, all over the station these blockages were prominent and their seemed no rhyme or reason to them, "Okay still no answers, thus only solution left is purge the Ventilation Shafts let's just hope this is not anything living.

Pressing a few buttons she typed in the command and immediately the control room hummed indicating it had began, while that took place she tried to find unsecure logs, fortunately the Stations log were easy enough to find.

Captain Nimmara Log: Article 1: "The alliance we have set up in this station is a beacon of hope for those of us once plagued by war. Now if we can get these people to share knowledge we could work towards next goal. Each one of the Nations is different and varied, but the fact they have agreed to any alliance is extraordinary. I hope this is a sign of things to come, but really I am very nervous. For centuries these races have fought one another, it is only with construction of this station we have achieved getting them to sit and talk to one another. Although this is not enough, they have so many grievances with one another... nothing will be sorted immediately.

Secondly the shipments have began as scheduled as had the mining operations on Eros 4. Let's hope things keep going this smoothly..."

As the first recording played, Daisy looked to the others, "There is about 200 logs here, this was like log number five."

"Yeah... let's not go through all of those. I'd say the last.. uh... seven should suffice. I mean that's all we need right?" Rei commented having little to no patience to go through close to what sounded like 200 planetary hours of station logs. "See if you can find this guy's personal logs. I'm pretty sure there's an ecrypted drive." She said to Daisy, for now letting the other do the "driving" through the Station's system. " As for old, I can work with old, but not ancient." Rei grumbled towards Russian and Seth. A hammer or fist was not the answer, but rather gentle coaxing, which had yet to do anything other than keep the vents firmly locked in place. She could find other ways to fix it but not without causing problems further down the line for others and herself.

"Don't purge the ventilation till we know why the hell it's sealed."
She just hoped that whatever it was, wasn't going to kill them all. This was starting to turn into what seemed like a bad holo-film. A group of intrepid adventurers, in their case scrappers, and intergalactic ne'r to do wells, go in search of some sort of mystical treasure. Usually by this point of the film things were starting to get iffy fast, and that's what Rei was beginning to feel; anxious and uncertain.

One of the ransacked crates that had been pulled open held a large chunk of what appeared to be some sort of pale mineral. The markings on the crate had indicated little more than some sort of scientific samples in a once common language. A few jars of liquid had been stored on a layer above, but the rough handling of the crate had caused a few cracks. As the scavengers migrated towards the control room, a steady drip began to echo through the loading bay.

When the first drip struck, the hunk of mineral began to react. Where once the oddly shaped rock was pale and dull a spot of vivid blue appeared, growing slightly with each drop. As the surface became more saturated it began to swell, coating the thing with a layer of soft, splotchy muck, tenuously held together as if by a skin of surface tension.

Seth set his box down on a desk inside the control room as the others started on various tasks. He nodded his agreement with Rei's not purging the ventilation with out further exploration into why it was sealed off. None the less he could feel the air begin to move ever so slightly, that in and of it self was a welcome change, until it stopped. Part of him wished he hadn't agreed to the logical course of action, it only served to remind him how stale the air was in the room. "Well, that was nice while it lasted."

He wasn't going to be much good a decoding ancient space computers, so he set to work trying to figure out the lock on his box. There were buttons with strange symbols, the readout kept flashing things he didn't understand, so at this point all he could do was push a button and see if something happened. Eventually he found one that seemed to change the characters on screen, so he hit it again, again the characters changed, it was changing languages. "Alright, this could be useful." It took a while but eventually he found one that made words he could read. He still didn't know what they meant, stats and numbers that he had no context for, but at least he was making progress.

Now that he could read the information screen he set about trying to figure out what was in the box. Part of him figured he was going through a lot of work to open something that was surely worthless, but he would keep trying to get the thing open at this point for the sake of doing it.

"200 different logs...I suggest you download those files to a device and listen to them while we move along. As for the ventilation...yeah we should keep them closed, one of us should work on checking the ventilation's for any heat signatures, bacterial substance, or patch into the stations cameras and look around for anything that appears wrong. We are in the control room, there must be some sort of terminal that has access to the monitors. If we are gonna find this mysterious source we might as well make sure nothing on this station is going to ambush us." Russian spoke before looking at the terminals scattered around the room for anything that seemed connected to the cameras, if they even still worked.

Eventually Russian found what he was looking for, a working terminal that was connected to a few working cameras. Of course it needed a password but with his hacking expertise he easily hacked into the terminal and began to use the working cameras to look around. "Lets see here...we have the hanger...some random hallway...and nothing else. Lets see what we find shall we?" Looking through the cameras, he found nothing of note. Just some old crates and more wreckage. He concluded this was a waste of time even though he spent less than a minute looking through it and stood up from the terminal to go somewhere else.

"Well the camera idea is now useless, now time to find out whats in those vents." Russian muttered as he walked over to one of the closed vents before placing a device on it. It was not an explosive of course, it was just a little gadget that would bore a tiny hole into the vent and insert a small remote controlled probe inside it so it would not let out any sort of virus and nothing would be able to get out easily. "So anyone brave enough to search the vents with my probe? Or not eager to have something suddenly jump in front of the camera to give you a heart attack?" He asked as he took off the device on his arm and offered it to anyone willing to give it a shot. "Its like using a toy."

After hearing Rei, she immediately cancelled the Purge and nodded somewhat, "Yeah, you are right, no purging until we get answers on what is going on or at least what is blocking those vents." hearing Russ's idea she brightened and grinned, "I am busy checking the logs, but that seems like an idea certainly." pressing few keys she started moving through the logs they were extensive in how they were ordered and would make any attempt to go through them, easy. Nonetheless, she saw what Russ did and approached over to the console and cameras, having some tech knowledge, she was little more patient moving the cameras over the station, not all rooms were lit so she had switch some to UV or Nightvision. Although as she examined the loading bay, something caught her eye, it was hard to see, but there was movement.

Speaking up she turned to them all, "One of those crates we destroyed, there is something moving near them, camera can't zoom in, but see for yourself." with that she gestured whoever would over to them.

As her attention was from the main control panel, immediately a fresh log began to play.

Captain Nimmara Log: "The nations are cooperating surprisingly well despite my misgiving. Still I have a feeling in my gut that something going to happen. The mining meanwhile on Eros 4 has hit a snag, the mineral is more powerful than we could ever wish for, but strangely tunnels we form keep caving in. It is like something trying to keep us from getting this. The whole mineral we have classified Turritoid. It appears to displace itself into another reality if threatened, we have tested this on armour and have found the results is the person is not hit. Although, my head scientist Christine Kellen suggests we should perform more extensive tests on this and see if being displaced into another reality, has negative effects.

The Maclaun Generals are adamant that we must make use of this and any negative effects are not worth considering meanwhile the other nations are arguing viciously. Still I do believe just as long we keep it locked tight and perform tests, this could be ideal symbol of unity. This mineral making us all have invincible armies... My first mate is less enthuastic and he keeps telling me..."

Slowly what seemed to be a mineral formation rehydrated, the bluish muck becoming gradually more opaque and solid looking. As the surface smoothed, what appeared to be a twisted lump run with cracks and crevices began to take on a more definitive shape. Limbs differentiated themselves from torso as skin firmed up, vivid blues fading to something more soft and pale as the flesh took on its intended shape. Then finally, within the core of the mineral, a head finished forming and a face appeared. The shape was distinctly humanoid, so much so as to seem intentional and long silver fibers that had been matted against the stony surface now cascaded down like hair. Finally awake, Rhen uncurled his body and sat up, silvery eyes blinking as they remembered their function.

Rei just sighed as she took over from Daisy at the consoles. The woman had the world's worst attention span and she really didn't want anything to do with whatever suggestion Russian had to drill through the vents. So instead she hung back and started a search for any other logs that might be of use to them.

"Brain of bird.." She muttered under her breath as she watched the brightly lit screen's text scroll past. Those three could get in all the trouble they wanted, but frankly Rei had a bad feeling about something there on the station. She had felt uneasy since they came on board, and the feeling had yet to go away.

With hundreds of hours logged in space, she knew this wasn't some sort of case of nerves.

The Console would flash red for the faintest of moments, Perhaps like blood dripping down the screen, and following a split second, the console returned to normal.

Seth had just started to get the feeling he was making progress when Daisy mentioned movement. He decided the box would have to wait and stepped over to the monitor console. He watched the screen intently for a moment. "Definitely something there." He looked at each of them in turn, "I guess I'll go take a look."

Maybe he felt like he needed to do something productive to fit in with these seasoned space travelers, or maybe he was just that naive. Seth made his way back into the loading bay with out hesitation. "Here kitty kitty." He mumbled as he approached the area the camera had been pointing. "This is the part of the movie where the poor unaware traveler mysteriously vanishes." Seth joked to himself before turning to a camera and waving. "Arrivederci!"

Returning his attention to the area where they had seen movement he was shocked to see a body. "Ma dai!?" he noticeably jumped back and fumbled for just a moment as he reached into the pouch were his weapon was, though he didn't draw it out. "Chi diavolo sei tu?" He stammered, then realizing he had spoken in Italian, "Who the hell are you?" He the realized that it might very well not matter what language he spoke in... he had no idea what he was talking to. "You weren't here a minute ago..." He said, eyeing the crate. What the hell was going on on this station?

Hearing the Italian banter with himself on the way back, the thing in the box shifted its head oddly on its neck, opening and closing the mouth as it readjusted to mobility. When the startled man jumped back, the creature mirrored the action, scrambling back and tipping the crate over, responding with a series of odd clicks and whistles to the sudden demands in Italian. Now sprawled on the floor, the shape appeared even more distinctly humanoid, the shape of muscle and bone structure reflected almost perfectly save for a lack of any visible indications of gender.

When the question came out in a dialect of the common exchange language like that of Nimmara's logs, the stranger replied in kind. "Who the hell are you?" It peered around in a panic. "Where was I a minute ago?" The words seemed almost an empty echo of Seth's questions until the scene of destruction and abandonment finally registered in the wide silver eyes. "Holy shit," it said, a simple but calm declaration of surprise. It lifted a hand, noticing the layers of dust it had picked up from the floor before wiping it off calmly on its leg.

Russian got curious when Daisy mentioned seeing something on the monitors. He set the little probe on autopilot and walked over to the cameras and peered into the screen and watched as Seth looked behind the crates and jumped back while shouting in Italian. Russian shrugged and decided to sit down on one of seats. ¨I'm sure he can handle it himself, if not then we can come running and help him. For now I'm going to wait until my probe picks up anything, if not then we just go to our destination, loot the station, then head back to the ship and celebrate with a drink.¨

After speaking, Russian began to look through the probes camera and made sure that the vent was not contaminated with any disease or populated by aliens. It would be much cheaper to just go through this without any trouble, creating very specific ammo was not cheap.

As this all took place, she heard the log, now only now was Daisy feeling a strong growing sense of unease. It did not help she truly felt that they had stepped on ground forbidden to them. It seemed this wave of doubt was echoed in all their sentiment. Although not spoken the group seemed to have this foreboding hanging over them. "It is hard to dance with the devil on your back." that very lyric spoke to her, nonetheless she turned deathly to the Russian, "Are you are sure we should not listen to all of the logs first or at least more?" her voice less casual, but full of disquiet.

So focused was Daisy she completely missed the thing happening on the console, still the log began to play, a fresh one.

Captain Nimmara Log: "BLAST... BLAST IT ALL TO HELL... I can't deny it, something is determined to stop our mining efforts on Eros 4. I don't know what it is, but now the miners are not safe on the surface... We assumed removing them from the moon surface, I believed this would end the attempts, but all miners involved experience powerful night terrors. I can hear them screaming as I write these logs. I am this close to ending the mining, but Maclaun Generals are making it harder. They won't see the sense here, they just demand results... The Renev normally cautious even seem more demanding.

I am half tempted to jettison it into space, but something stops me. Maybe I believe things can be salvaged.

There is meeting today with all five Ambassadors and the crew to decide if we continue efforts on Eros 4. I feel we will, but something wants us off this moon, something..."

The thing seemed to repeat Seth's questions back to him, it was almost like hearing them made it ask those same questions itself, like it had suddenly become aware of the fact that those questions should have answers. It had somewhat of a disarming effect on Seth, who removed his hand from the pouch holding his weapon. Finally the thing seemed to take in its surroundings, which seemed to take it somewhat by surprise. Seth really wasn't sure what to make of this, did this thing recognize that the loading bay was a mess? Did it not expect to find it in the current state of disarray?

"Look, I don't know where you came from." Seth started, "We were just in here not five minutes ago and you weren't here." he scratched the back of his neck, still not sure if this thing really understood what he was saying or had just been parroting words. He decided that the only way to figure that out was to keep asking questions as though the thing did understand him. Maybe if he was lucky he might learn something about the station in the process.

"Well, I guess, my name is Seth anyway." He started, slightly awkwardly, "What's yours?"

Rhen was puzzling over the chaos surrounding when Seth's words drew its attention once more. The being stood up slowly, trying not to startle the man with the weapon, then dusted itself off. "I, er.. Well I guess I was in there." Rhen peered at the box and broken jars. The details of what happened were still fuzzy, but the idea of being stuffed in a box seemed to fit what Rhen could recall. Yes, the more Rhen thought about it, the more the box was upsettingly familiar. This prompted a step to the side away from the box.

Noting again the man with the questions, Rhen smiled brightly. "Of course, yes. My name." Rhen tried to think of common names of the region and stumbled on something that might fit, a fragment of memory that filled the blank. "Call me Quinn. I don't suppose you've got something to drink? Or pants..." Pants were important in these parts as far as Rhen could recall. It was starting to come back a bit. Such wonderful, strange people there were on the station. Looking at the wreckage of the loading bay, Rhen started to wonder what might have happened to them. It didn't seem like anything good. Rhen gave a wistful sigh, then looked up at Seth for a reply.

As Russian heard the message log he couldn't help but think to the rock in his bag. "I think I am starting to piece together the events that happened on this station, I think we should hurry up and finish this mission just to be safe. Of course if something does come I have enough explosives to send it to hell and beyond." He chuckled as his probe sent him a message that the vent was clear and their was no sign of poison in the air.

"Well, Seth sure is taking his time communicating with...whatever he is talking to. I'm going to move on ahead and check the armory. If you want to play another log feel free to play it in my ear and if you need anything just say." Russian said as he stood up and began to leave the control room by himself, not worried about whatever horror lurked in the station.

Daisy herself was beginning to piece together too what happened, although certain things were unclear thus she decided to skip to the final log. Gazing uncertain at Rei she bit her lip before typing in the command and all at once the log began. To say Daisy was horrified was an understatement, her eyes widened in horror as it played.

Captain Nimmara Log: "That rock, that damn rock everything about it it just seems to make people act extremely possessive. I have barricaded the control room and armoury to prevent anything else getting the munition, but already the alliances we built are breaking down. The Macluan claim that we are all trying to keep the rock for ourselves and this is nothing but an attempt to weaken them. Worse deep in Eros Mines something was discovered, we kept it hidden but it appears unearthly even without measure. All the crew... 500 hundred strong dead or insane. I am the last and beg if anyone finds these logs, don't even pick up the rocks, don't touch them. They only need to be felt once and then it begins, the sickness the want. I can hear them banging at the door.

I... we had such noble goals and honourable views... but this rock torn apart everything... infected us and the anomaly we don't fully understand it... this will be the last communication I make, but be warned to prevent the rock getting out the locks of the doors automatically seal shut after half an hour. I can't let this get out. I can't... and because I touched it, I can't survive... this is the final message... we had so many plans, so many goals... and it been ripped apart...

I have one more thing to say before I lift my pistol to end my life, the miners those who survived are like the rest of the crew, those who died they threw themselves into the vents... we did not realize until the stench spread. I am broken, destroyed... how could we allow this... how could we so foolish. This is Captain Nimmara of the Burdokian Race the last one... the last sane one... THAT FUCKING ROCK... THAT DAMN ROCK... THAT ROCK WILL BE MINE... MINE..."

Daisy made sure the log transmitted to all on board, Seth and Rus before looking at Rei, "How long has it been?"

"Since the logs were entered or since Rus and Seth went to explore?" Rei asked having been momentarily distracted by something on the screen. It had been her imagination right? Maybe a symptom of over indulgence in things in preparation for this current adventure. Shaking her head slightly, Rei tried to clear her muddied thoughts. "But either way those crates are a problem. I'm not taking a damn thing from this place with me, I'm gonna call this a wash."

Who knew what else was lurking in that derelict station? Rei wasn't sure she wanted to resort to other measures to even find out. "The station cursed itself."

1 hour prior to the current events on Jarrako Downs.

Inky blackness, seemingly thicker than the dust that lined the station, waited, as if poised for sudden---violent movement. T he soft sound of a cautious boot easing over floor panels was the only thing drifting through the blackness. The already dead station seemed to have whatever life left in it choked out by the stillness that threatened to engulf the two Cyborgs sent to
this crypt.

“ Six “ The cyborg, standing watch at the door , more out of habit than reason, stated.

Six, Sara Tamers, HCU-001’s Linguist and Technical officer, was eye deep in stale computer logs.

“ What Maverick, and stop calling me that, we’re alone here and this isn’t a combat situation.” She replied as she puzzled out the final bits of codes opening one of the former Renev’s study.

Maverick Al’thor, Two, HCU-001’s demolitions technician rolled his non-existent eyes.
“ Do you think there is any merit to any of those stories about this place?”

“ Probably , tho not at face value, This place was abandoned how long ago?
And then all of a sudden some looters start poking at this place; then an already weakened nation pays hand over fist for some logs that may or may not still be intact?”

Maverick shifted his rifle, uneasy nonetheless. He had seen far too much of the universe to put it passed . “ I like how you left out the part of me being supposed to blow up half this scrap heap.” He added sullenly. As much as he enjoyed all things explosive, he couldn’t wait to leave this dead station, it gave him the willies.

Sara shook her head, laughing a bit to herself.
The final bit of code was corrected applied at the Lock on the door released, tho , the door didn’t slide open.

“ rusted shut.” Sara cursed whoever built this piece of shit, nothing ticked her off more than something that was built like crap. Good thing their Combat bodies were infact, not crap.

Cautiously Sara approached the door like she would have a bomb. She checked the seams of the door for any visible trip wires or pressure plates. Mavrick moved into the room, watching their back as the Technician worked.

“ H.E.A.S, reading clear, active and passive. No magical traps, not here at least.” .Nothing on this side anyways… Sara took a steadying breath, figuratively, before gripping the door hand firmly.

With minimal effort , and a shriek that lanced the silence the rusted door gave way.
Mavrick swept in, only stopping long enough to double check the other side of the door for traps.

Nothing, just more ruined living space , dust and a skeleton half hanging out of a ventilation shaft.

“ Clear…. The fuck happened here…?!” Mavrick said, sweeping the dank room with the flashlight on the end of his weapon. He eyed the skeleton with mistrust as Sara moved in after him.

“ donno, The Renev’s didn’t bother to say… Tho I’m sure we'll find out considering what we’ve been sent here to recover.” She answered, sweeping the room herself after Maverick entered.

Maverick moved wordlessly from the skeleton back to the doorway and watched through the room they came from, aiming at the doorway incase anyone…. Or anything, wanted to know what that sound was.

Sara meanwhile started in on another terminal , the last 3 they had picked through were little more than letters to home, or documents on mining, things of a homely nature.
Being so old she had to jump start this one , using her suit’s generator to power the terminal. This hard connection gave her a bit more access to some of the files , at least a bit quicker since it was acting as a back door. Scanning over the files she noted strange chunks of code seeming heaped in there at random. Tho upon opening it , it seemed little more than a personal letter to a co-worker. Sara dug through the personal files to figure out exactly who this was sent to. The recipient wasn’t registered on station.

“ I think i’ve found something, tho I can’t say what it is for now. She frowned prodding at the background code. Whomever sent this wanted the real message to be seen only by this Talos An’kor character…

“ Take your time, it’s not like anyone is on this rust bucket.” Mavrick answered, still watching the doorway with his weapon, flashlight off.

And with that, both cyborgs were again swallowed by the darkness that ate away at this station….. until the lights flickered on.

Seth had been so caught off guard by the sudden appearance of Quinn that he hadn't even recognized that it wasn't wearing any clothes. "Sorry, no pants. But I do have some water." he pulled a small bottle out of one of his suits pouches and handed it over as the log started to play over his com.

Seth looked at his hands in a slight panic, relieved that the gloves still seemed to be just as intact as they had been before touching the rock, hopefully that was a good sign. Then he heard something even more ominous. "...the locks of the doors automatically seal shut after half an hour." he started looking around, trying to gauge how long they had been on the station. It certainly felt like more than half an hour.

"Guys, should we be leaving while the doors aren't shut?" He asked, but then saw the air lock door slowly begin to creep closed. "Shit!" He stumbled as he moved around the crates towards the door, he didn't want to risk any more exposure to the rocks than he needed to, and he wasn't entirely sure what he planned on doing if he made it to the door, but he went for it none the less. Only to put a hand on the metal of the door as it slid shut, hissing loudly before a audible and definitive clank of the locks rang out. "Go to space they said. It'll be fun they said." He sighed. "Guys... bad news."
