The subtle click of high heels on the wooden floor of Gambits would echo down the stairs that leg upwards as a rather elegant woman made her way down the long stairs. With one hand on the railing, she would use one hand to brush a stray strand of hair from her soft features, smiling all the while.

Dakota Jennings would reach the end of the stairs and fix her white tank top, stretching it down just a tad as she pulled her skinny jeans up a little more. The silver bracelets along her right wrist would jingle softly as she made her way over to the bar counter, pushing the small swinging door to behind it open with a manicured hand as she entered her shift. She would then look around to see if anyone needed a bartender because she was now ready to hand out drinks and the usual.

The young twenty-three year old would then turn around to face the array of liquors, sorting through them to become more familiar. It was her first time on the job, and she was just a tad nervous. Knowing what this establishment could be home to, she was just a tad on the edge, though that was usually customary for this type of place. Seeing as it was home to a rather large assortment of monsters, killers, and a large array of mages, she had reason to be.

Dakota smiled back at Violet, nodding softly
Alright, I'll waitress first then I guess.
with that the young girl would slip out from behind the bar, passing by tables and checking to see if anyone was flagging down a waitress. Though she had caught the eye of Tom, she would not return his flickering gaze. A smile stayed present on her lips as she moved around the bar, circling almost to see if anyone needed anything.

Dakota Jennings would furrow her brows slightly as she saw Tom leave his jacket, and she quickly ran to retrieve it, afterwords skittering to catch up to the man.
Hey, wait up! You forgot your jacket!
she would call out, not exactly very loudly. Though still she should be heard.

Dakota would soon stop making her rounds around the bar, still looking for someone to tend to. She would then slip behind the bar counter, placing her hands on the counter and looking around, before taking out a pen and her notebook from under the counter where she had placed them. She then flipped to the next avaliable page that hadn't any writing on it and began to draw the figure of Grey. Though she put her pen down before she was able to finish the sketch, running off to pour a cup of hot coffee for Gardna and then placing it on the counter in front of him.

Dakota would nod softly to Oriel and turn around to grab a slim tall clear glass and slipping it under the faucet. One of the great attributes of Gambits, was that its running water was fresh and clean, spring water from the tab. She would then place the cold glass down in front of the two of them
That will be four coins please.
she said, using the common currency.

Dakota Jennings laughs softly
Oh I am sorry Miss. I'll fix that in just a second.[/quote[ she said, taking the glass and pouring it out, she would then grab one of the tiny, plastic, almost doll-like glasses and dipped nearly three drops into it. She would then carefully place it in front of Oriel, taking the coins and placing them behind the counter, seeing as they had no register as far as she could tell.

A young girl of the age 23, would quickly make her way down the steps of Gambit's all to famous steps that led into the wide expanse of the bars first floor. She was wearing a black tank top and faded blue jeans, fixing her hair as she went along. It wasn't long before she reached the bottom of the stairs, her classic gray sneakers barely making a noise on the hard wooden floors beneath her. The young girl would then stop at the end of the stairs, fixing her hair up in a pony tail and lacing the white ribbon she had in her hand through the elastic band she had for her hair to hold it up. Once she finished, she would then make her way over toward the bar counter. She would then pushed the back door swinging door open, slipping behind the bar.

Dakota Jennings would then look around to see if anyone was in need of a bartender. She ruffled her bangs slightly and brushed her fingers through them, fixing them so that they didn't look horrid. She was happy that nothing catastrophic had happened to the bar while she wasn't on duty, thought it seemed that the same scary monsters still roamed the bar looking for someone to terrorize.

With the going-ons of the bar creating a large hum of noise, a young girl would make her way down the stairs, one hand running on the rail and the other brushing a stray strand of hair from her face. Though a smile continued to stay plastered to her face as usual, she was just a tad nervous.

She had only been on the job for about three days if that, and everyday she came down these stairs she felt like she would be presented with a destroyed bar, a giant heavy breathing monster, or worse. Her name was Dakota, and she was fairly slim with a build of someone whom had spent her life being active and well rounded in her activities, and it showed. She currently wore a black tank top which had lace straps, along with faded jean short-shorts and gray sneakers. She would rush behind the bar, her brows furrowed at the present situation.

Ma'am, are you alright?
she would say, her voice like that of velvet and laced with worry as she spoke to Rori Hikari who had just grabbed a rather expensive bottle of rum and downed it. In all actuality, it seemed the girl needed the rum like someone needed air to breath, it scared the new bartender though she reminded herself that this was part of the things she had to do to get paid, to make a living, and to keep her room upstairs.

The young girl would try and slowly pull the bottle of rum from Rori's hand whilst grabbing a tissue and handing it to her. A look of worry crossed her features as she heard what the woman had told her, she had no idea as to where she was, or who she was.

Your at Gambits, its a bar. Here, let me get you some water.
she said, trying to persuade the girl to stop drinking. Of course, Dakota had already made the decision that this lady had been drinking way to much, forgot who she was, and probably was going to have a horrid hangover in the morning. <Typical Gambits..>

Dakota would place the bottle on the counter and get the girl a glass of water, handing it over to her
Hold on.
she would murmur, leaning over to the other side of the counter and taking one of the bar stools out from under the counter and lifting it over, placing it behind the bar for Rori to sit down on.

She heaved a sigh, one hand on her hip while the other rested on the edge of the counter
I'm not sure, I just started working her recently. Your in Wing City, at Gambits Bar. Are you sure you don't know your name Miss?
she asked, confused some. Though it was quite obvious that this person, whatever her name was, had forgotten a lot for a reason she couldn't remember.

Dakota's eyes would go wide as the girl grabbed hold of her.

she would murmur, slowly trying to back out of the girls embrace.

Dakota would shake her head softly
Its alright.
she would reassure the woman, and then nod softly, pointing upstairs
Third floor, second door on the right.
she said, a soft smiling traveling her features.

The door is open, the clothes in the closet with most likely fit you.
she said, nodding and placing her keys on the counter just in case it was locked, before she moved down the bar counter toward Kaara Lettmeen.

She would stop once she was in front of her, smiling all the while
Can I get you something Miss?
she would ask with a soft dip of her head.

Dakota would go behind the bar, and back into the kitchen to prepare the salad and the apple juice. Pulling out two tall clear glasses she would poor the apple juice, pulling out a small white saucer and opening the refrigerator, she opened a new bottle of ranch and poured some of it into the saucer. She then placed the pepper shaker on the black large platter that had the juice on it as well. She then made the salad in a bowl, placing a fork and some croutons on top of it.

She then picked up the platter, balancing it on one hand as she moved out from the kitchen, placing it down on the bar counter and removing everything off of the platter and placing it down in front of her.
Would you like to run a tab or just pay for that now?
she would ask, a smile on her face as she took the keys back from Rori with a nod and a smile, a general gesture that said she would speak to her in a moment.

Though she would glance over at Gentle Shine, acknowledging him but waiting for her answer from the patron whom had ordered the salad.

Dakota would furrow her brows, shouting across the bar over the sound of the gun.

If your going to shot someone! Do It outside of my bar! Get out! Both of you!
she would shout, not wanting anyone to get shot or harmed while she was running the bar.

Dakota Jennings nods to Gentle Shine and turned around to make the glass of honey mead, coming back moments later with the glass and placing it on the counter in front of him. She would then take the bill from Kaara, dipping her head in thanks and placing it in the cash register on the back counter. Though she would then slip out from behind the bar, marching quite angrily over to Pearl Extreme.

Get out of here. Now.
she would say, not having anyone getting shot at while she was around.

Dakota would huff softly, placing one hand on her hip while the other dangled at her side, her fingers lightly tapping on her thigh.

You heard me, get out. I don't care if no one got hurt, someone could have and I'm not going to have that around here. You hear me? Now do yourself a favor and leave this bar.
she would say a soft trace of venom lacing its way through her words. She had lost all patience.

Dakota turned around to look at Gentle Shine and furrowed her brows slightly
Don't call me sugar.
she would retort before walking over toward the wall that held the notice of who was staff of the bar.

As she was reading Official list of Gambit's staff she would run her finger down the list, passing her own name before coming across those who were denied.

Looks like your brother Shade was denied.
she would say, turning back around to face Pearl.
Don't let it happen again Miss.
she would say, shaking her head softly before disappearing behind the bar counter once again. She picked up the small coin that Gentle Shine had left on the counter and then grabbing a tall glass and slipping it under the tab.

She poured herself a glass of water and took a deep tug at the edge, placing it on the back counter.

Dakota would look rather surprised as the large monster blew down the door to the establishment. She huffed, only getting more annoyed by the second. She would walk around the back of the bar and come around to the front, looking toward the monster that had entered.

She wasn't scared, she was just generally annoyed as she walked up to the monster, rather casually and fixing it with a hard gaze. Her goal was to tame it, but more or less tell it to stop.

That wasn't very nice.
she would say sternly, hoping to just yell at the creature, even though it didn't work in most situations.

Dakota kept up the force field, though it was of an odd sort. She grinned softly, waving her hand softly and murmuring a few words under her breath. The thick haze would then cover Braze in a sheet that would completely hide him. If she was successful, the beasts attempt to blast a laser of death would be futile, and it would disappear before it even reached the outer rim of the haze.

If she was able to get this far, she would now focus on the beast itself, slowly moving toward the haze that it now was covered in, and it wouldn't be able to move away from it, for it would follow and never move. She closed her eyes quickly, focusing her energy, though it would take several minutes for her to prepare to actually move the beast, and teleport it to the Ruins, which is what she had planned.

Her own form would slowly begin to fade, the haze deepening.

Dakota gives up trying to stop the monster, and instead decides to ignore it. She went back to the bar counter and took a sip of her water, looking around to see if anyone needed a drink, because the bartender was now ready to serve again. She tugged on the hem of her shirt some and ruffled her hair to fix it, looking around at the bar patrons.

Dakota Jennings would nod softly, smiling while brushing her fingers through her hair and fixing it from the tangles it had in it, which only took a moment and she was back to looking like she had before. She rested her hands on the edge of the counter, her eyes searching his own for nothing in particular.

Can I get you anything Sir?
she would ask, her voice taking on the mild joyful mood it nearly always held.

Dakota Jennings would think about it for a second, licking her lips and biting the bottom for a second.
Personally, I like the Blue Hawaiian.
she said, smiling at him and turning around toward the large expanse of liquors.
The Vixen is also a rather nice drink, but I prefer the other.
she said, nodding her head softly and grabbing a tall glass to prepare the drink with.

Dakota Jennings would laugh softly, taking down a tall bottle of Malibu Rum from the wide assortment of bottles and twirling it with a flick of her hand, her thumb hitting the cap as she let just a little over an ounce of it flow into the tall glass. She then flipped open the glass top for the ice bucket and dropped a few into the glass using the black scooper in there.

She would then search through the bottles, putting the rum bottle back up and taking down the Blue Triple Sec and pouring just over half an ounce into the tall glass and then finishing it off with pineapple juice. She smiled, cutting a lime with a thin blade and placing it on the edge of the glass, dropping two cherries onto the top of the ice and placing it in front of Laces with a smile.

She placed one hand on the edge of the counter, nodding toward him and waiting for his reaction as her green eyes searched his own purple orbs.

Dakota Jennings would laugh softly
The fact that you let me actually prepare a real drink, its on the house.
she said, nodding to him and going back to the back counter, taking a sip of the glass of water she had prepared herself. She held a smile on her face still, her green eyes searching through the expanse of liquors and thinking of the other drinks she knew, oh how she loved to refresh her memory.

Dakota turned around, looking at him up and down in disbelief, most people would just shrug it off and take the free drink. Though the fact that he persisted to pay for the drink, surprised her. She furrowed her brows softly, though a smirk stayed present on her lips.

Seriously, its on the house. I've been giving people straight rum and the simplest drinks all day and night. I really do enjoy making actual drinks, and you allowed me to do so. Thank you, really.
her brows straightened and she smiled genuinely.

Though if he continued to persist she would make him pay for it, though she really didn't want to.
