Dane Vogel's Story

Outside the bar a singular dark colored limousine would be seen pulling up to the bar, flanked on the front and the rear of the long stretch were two white modified Toyota HiLux pickup trucks, each of them were equipped with a 32mm fuel rod cannon, idly the men atop the pickups scanned their surroundings as a singular man in a suit stepped from the driver side door of the limo, and stepping to the back of the limousine. After he opened the door, a single man with blond hair and a typical CEO Look about him stepped fourth and approached the bar door.
Quietly he pushed the bar open and frowned at the stench of the bar. He would be flanked on either side by two heavily armed RDA mercenaries. Once he was inside the bar he growled and then shook his head. "This place is a dump." He said out loud. Then he surveyed his surroundings.
"This bar is a money pit, Tear it down." He dismissively ordered.
Quietly he pushed the bar open and frowned at the stench of the bar. He would be flanked on either side by two heavily armed RDA mercenaries. Once he was inside the bar he growled and then shook his head. "This place is a dump." He said out loud. Then he surveyed his surroundings.
"This bar is a money pit, Tear it down." He dismissively ordered.
Dane Vogel shook his head before he was handed a note pad and a pen, silently he began to walk around the bar, taking notes and shaking his head. "Disgusting conditions... did Hagan really invest in this thing? It's a hive of crime and villainy." He said, surveying the drink choices of the bar itself, then he walked past several patrons before he took some more notes. "Definitely going to bulldoze this place, it's worthless."
Dane Vogel continued to survey his surroundings and then his cold gaze fell on the elf in the corner, scowling he stepped forward as the two Tech Con mercenaries reached for their holstered weapons. "Who are you and why the hell do you care? Why do I want to bulldoze this place? Well I find that it's costing my company money, I seem to be investing more in security and supplies then this bar is returning, people have racked up so much debt and tabs that are delinquent, It is my decision, as CEO of Tech Con Group, in which Gambit's Bar is a wholly owned subsidiary of, to cut the budget and remove this monetary hole from." He said, shrugging. "I wonder when the last time a Tech Con Health inspector showed up."
Dane Vogel had finally reached the government place in a long black limousine. His eyes looked up to the facade for a moment before the driver slowly opened the door to the limo. Once the door was opened, Dane stepped out and clutched his briefcase. Straightening the silver lapel pin that bore the Tech Con logo, he moved on. "Terra, with rich Trinnium deposits, and money to be made, I anticipate that the discussions will go well." He turned to two men in RDA Uniforms, each of them armed with Magnetron III Rifles. They silently stood by the limo as the man approached the government center, ready to begin his shrewd negotiations.
"Mmm..." Vogel mumbled.

Dane Vogel was of course unarmed, preferring not to carry a weapon, but rely on his men for security. And so he set the briefcase on the x-ray machine, and stepped through the metal detector, which of course would come back with nothing, no weapons on the person. Of course Vogel couldn't help but ask. "Can these things even detect Aschen weapons?" He asked, before he took his briefcase. "I'm sure Tech Con can help with that."
Dane Vogel nodded. "I'm here to see whomever is in charge of commerce, my name is Dane Vogel and I represent Tech Con Group." He said as he silently made his way through the security checkpoint. "Can you direct me to the appropriate location?" He said, politely.
Dane Vogel nodded. "I believe I am." He said as he reached out to shake the man's hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you, shall we talk? I do believe we have quite a bit to talk about, and as CEO Of Tech Con, I am here for you." He said, putting on the charming salesman veneer.
Dane Vogel nodded. "Please, lead the way." He said as he made his way behind the other gentleman. "You've got quite a nice place, granted it's not Langaran but you seem to do quite well for yourselves." Vogel said as he stepped towards the row of elevators behind the reception area.
Dane Vogel nodded. "Business, is pleasure, my friend." He said as he stepped into the elevator and silently waited as it led them up to the appropriate offices. "And you'll find that we have much to talk about tonight." Vogel added, squeezing the handle of his briefcase.
Dane Vogel adjusted his tie and the small pin on his lapel before he slid his hands with the briefcase behind his back. Nodding he waited for the elevator to reach it's floor, and finally it did, Vogel silently waited for the other man to step out, before he followed. "We at Tech Con were interested in a reinvestment in Terra, I have quite a business plan to restore various parts of Wing City into a metropolis it is destined to be, I also want to reopen the mines." Vogel explained.
Dane Vogel offered a nod and followed the man to his office. He grasped the briefcase as he walked through the halls to the office and then he would find a seat when they reached the office. Dane then placed the briefcase on the desk and then he opened it up. "Where should we begin, Mr. Musveni." Dane asked.
Dane Vogel nodded, then he leaned in the chair, getting himself comfortable. "Very well then, for starters I would like the Terran Government's blessing to do business here, I'd like to reopen the mines and I would like to reopen Tech Con's property, including the establishment Gambit's Bar under a Tech Con fold... I have other plans for this city but I think I want to start there. and small." Vogel explained.
Dane Vogel shook his head. "Tech Con is not owned by the public, it's privately owned, we don't have shareholders. Miles Hagan never believed in shareholders, though we have a board... the Company broke free from the Caprican Government when I was appointed, I assure you, we have no government influence."
Dane Vogel nodded before he checked his phone, there was a single text message from someone within the RDA concerning the property that was Gambit's Bar, Vogel frowned for a long moment before he looked up to Musveni.
"It has come to my attention that Tech Con property was seized and sold off without monetary compensation to Tech Con, additionally without the consent and authorization of any Tech Con Agents, now where I am from, that could be construed as illegal, care to enlighten me before I contact my lawyers with a lawsuit?"

"Perhaps where you are from, but Terra has its own laws, Mr. Vogel," responded Museveni, leaning back in his seat. The unsigned papers lay on the table between the two men. He blinked slowly. "The properties that you are talking about were seized by UCON and turned over to our government, so it would be representatives of the Coalition whom you ought to contact about that matter, and not me."
Dane Vogel shook his head. "Representatives of UCON, under Hagan's article five rights UCON had no right to seize Tech Con property of any kind, the fact that your government aided, abetted, and offered comfort to acts of theft disturbs me, UCON will be dealt with swiftly, but it is difficult to rouse a lawsuit against a foreign government that Caprica's in bed with. Tech Con cannot do business with a world that would give corporate property to a foreign government on a whim, thankfully I am a proactive and forgiving individual, and the monies equal to Tech Con's losses will be appropriated accordingly, however if the Coalition and Terran Governments would be willing to settle, the matter can be dropped in whole."
Dane Vogel laughed. "A percentage? We at Tech Con don't deal in percentages my friend, I will handle this through the courts, but until then, I will be appropriating Tech Con property from the bar, and filing a lawsuit against the Terran Government for violation of it's treaty with the Aschen Confederation that it signed governing withdraw of the Tripartite. Your government cannot capriciously seize properties on a whim, UCON had no right to indict Mr. Hagan, Terra should have seized his property when the Aschen government indicted him, Unfortunately these actions have prompted me to take steps to secure Tech Con's place in the free market, I'll be discussing with the board in regards to taking measures to protect our interests, now.. if you'll direct me to the officer in charge of filing, I can direct my lawyer appropriately."
