Danica Angelus

Nieght's sister, and co-worker though she has been on a hiatus for very discreet reasons. What could those be and where does her brother work exactly?

0 · 695 views · located in Canti's Diner

a character in “The Multiverse”, originally authored by Prose, as played by RolePlayGateway

Description

Stats//...
Name: Danica Grace Angelus
Nickname: Dani
Age: She has been nineteen for two years now. (Technically twenty-one years old).
Race: Spaniard/German/Italian/Caucasian.
Species: Homo Immortalis.

Height: 5'4"
Weight: 122lbs.
Body Structure: Athletic/Tone.

Classification: "Dangerous to the public". Subjective. There has been no proof thus far that Danica does pose a threat to humanity, the supernatural, or other beings, etc. But because there has not been any proof so far, the woman is highly watched over by her personal guardian, Nieght Angelus. Possible threats to any and all lifeforms is not tolerable. Any signs of becoming feral, Danica would be detained permanently or executed.
Main Occupation: Works as an intelligence operative for a major paranormal investigative corporation, P.P.I. Corps. (Private Paranormal Investigation Corporation).
Minor Occupation: Since being on her hiatus, Danica generally will do the necessary paper work for her brother concerning any investigations. Thus, it brings her down from an Agent to a part-time Secretary.
Style of Choice: Generally business casual with tailored black pants and a white button up, collared shirt. Sometimes though, the woman will wear something more "feminine" and "fashionable", though it would take a particularly good mood or a special event.
Languages: English Basic.

Intelligence: Danica has the knowledge of quite a few subjects, though none of it in-depth aside from when it comes to the paranormal. As her job was to collect intelligence of the different species and races of supernatural creatures, Danica is quite adept as identifying and classifying those beings.
Power: She has not developed any significant abilities thus far. Though studies have revealed that the woman does not age any longer, does not have the need to eat or sleep. There is the need for her to feed. Danica's method includes draining the life energy from beings that surround her including but not limited to: mortals, immortals, magical beings, beasts, paranormal anomalies, and flora.
Updated: As she has been exposed to more and more stress, Danica now exudes a thick pheromone into the air which can attract those that are too near her. This is passive and she does not realize this power yet.
Charisma: In this regard, Danica is just the normal "teenager". She has the level of high vocabulary, but decides to not use it unless the occasion calls for such an action. She is, however, easily personable and approachable in her charisma.
Dexterity: Being a Homo Immortalis, the woman is rather normal and so her reflexes do not yet exceed those of a normal human mortal. Even when she was mortal, Danica never was the most graceful of her class.
Agility: Danica is flexible to a degree, though she can't do the splits nor put her foot behind her head. It would be placed a just above average for a female.
Magic: So far there have been no developments of magical abilities, though the creature who caused this change in Danica held such powers. Assumption would be made that it perhaps takes time or high-stress levels to develop these in Danica.

Current Location: Currently she has been spotted more commonly at Gambit's bar than anywhere else in the Multiverse. Generally she does not adventure outside of Wing City.
Current Home: 6664 Sol Avenue, Wing City.
Companions: Her only friend thus far that has been made is Johnny Izumi of the organization named The Invictus. Another acquaintance was made from a man named Jahan, though friendship status has not been achieved. Stryfe, or also known as Fatin, has also been acquainted to Danica, and she hopes to create a more personable level with this woman who also belongs with the Invictus. Miles the bartender, quite the OCD man is her newest acquaintance.
Relationship Status: Currently not dating, or married. Single.
Orientation: Straight.

Disabilities: Danica does not have any disabilities, though her brother and she do refer to her current state as a disability. They prefer that no one know of the change or that Danica is not %100 human.

Danica Angelus gasped as something pierced into her flesh, causing her eyes to open wide in surprise and pain. Her left shoulder started to become numb, the sensation burning as it spread along her circulatory system. And... it was the final straw...

Being a immortalis, Danica was not at all completely defenseless. It would seem at first that Danica fell asleep, her head bowed and eyes closed while her hair veiled completely her face. An aura would start to surround her, not of demonic energy not magical, but purely spiritual energy. The marines around Danica, and those within a ten foot radius of the woman would feel as if they were tiring, as if their very life force was being drained from them. Danica... was feeding to save herself, it being a defense mechanism. Soon enough, if it was not able to be countered, those that were affected would start to drop to the floor.

This silent assault would not stop until Danica was made unconscious or until the threat stopped.

Danica Angelus was still draining the life out of those around her, be they human, immortal, magical entity, or even a plant. A few bodies fell down limp around the woman, those that were far too close. Though if these were allies, enemies, or innocent bystanders, Danica did not have knowledge of that. For those that were left behind by the Aschen Marine forces, and were close to death, it was enough for Danica to actually kill them, having drained what they needed to survive.

The woman at the bottom of the stairs stirred lightly though as the threat became less... perhaps a sign of Danica stopping her feed on the life of others.

Danica Angelus "Dani." Her head snapped up tossing strands of ebony hair around her face. Gray eyes came back into focus slowly. The spiritual energy that was draining from those around her immediately disappeared, possibly sparing the lives of a few more marines and innocents.

Danica groggily looked at herself, still down on her knees and bound with the plastic ties. Blood, black and thick was running down her left shoulder which she still could not feel. "...John?" Danica's voice was quiet and shallow, weak.

Danica Angelus flashed a rather fierce glance at John, feeling quite alive. "I'm not alright. I'm bleeding, in much pain, and I my fucking hands tied behind my back. You just going to sit there or are you going to release me?" Yeah, Danica was angry but she had all reason to be too. It wasn't a particularly good evening. Danica's pain however would still as the entire left side of her body now became quite numb from the paralytic needle that was still protruding from her shoulder.

Danica Angelus allowed this new man to attempt at healing her. But as he tried to force his aura into her body, it was completely blocked and halted. When the needle was pulled from her flesh though, that black blood would ooze from the wound for a moment, thicker than before and staining the inside of John's coat unfortunately. Danica was not worried about it any longer though as it would heal in a few hours and stop bleeding within the minute. The numbness in her body was still there was well, though slowly receding and beginning that awful tingling sensation at the tips of her extremities.

Having her hands free now, Danica placed one over her shoulder and quietly listened to what the two men had to say about the recent attack. In the back of her mind though, Danica was realizing that... there was no way that she could go home tonight. Not after this...

Danica Angelus looked at Jair and shook her head, her temper having cooled. "It's not your fault. You are not the first one to try and heal me then fail." When she had first changed into an immortalis, the P.P.I were sure to run all sorts of medical and scientific tests on the woman to collect data. This including harming and healing the woman. "It'd be hard to explain... but thank you for the thought."

Danica Angelus grimaced at being helped to stand though it was more from not being able to hold her own weight than pain. The annoyance of her nerves coming back to life was growing more and more with each passing second. "I really don't care where we go, John..." Her right arm had found its way around him for support and Danica tried her best to lean to her right as well to not agitate further her other side.

Danica Angelus was heavily concentrated on just moving along with John and not making them both topple over onto the floor. On their way up the stairs though, Danica could not help but to notice the dead bodies on the floor. 'Oh shit...' She realized what had happened from the noticeable vitality that was renewed in her. "John... don't apologize really... it wasn't your fault. I have to ask though, did you feel anything strange like you were getting kind of tired when you approached me?" Danica didn't know how she would react if she had fed on John. Meeting gazes with Sophia, Danica would nod to her in recognition but say nothing.

Danica Angelus sighed and closed her eyes. "I'm sorry John. I didn't mean to do that to you... I not ever really... aware of who it is." Of course all of this would sound like babble to him as John had not yet learned of how Danica fed as an Immortalis. Danica groaned slightly against the growing tingles in her left side as they ran now up her arm and leg, spreading towards her center. "That's getting really annoying. What the hell was I hit with?" Danica was speaking more to herself than anyone else at that point.

Danica Angelus "Maybe we should have taken the elevator..." It was a sad attempt at a joke, but at least her humor was returning, just like the feeling in her body. Unfortunately. "Well whatever it was, it's going away... slowly, but it's getting there." Danica tossed a look over John's shoulder down at Arrow and Sophia. Her gaze would drop somewhere to his shoulder, having good faith that John would guide her correctly. "You know... I'd say that you and that woman have something going on. Am I right John?" Danica's voice went soft and small. Sure the woman liked John, but maybe she was just desperate for someone other than her brother to care about her. They did just meet after all... Danica should probably set her developing feelings for John aside.

Danica Angelus slightly pulled away from John, able now to stand on her own, albeit she had to use the door frame to steady herself. "Look John... I'm not going to lie to you. You don't deserve that at all really. I know you're my friend, but, I honesty think that I am starting to like you far more than that. I... I don't want to get in the way of your relationship with her, but it's not like I can help what I feel. I don't think it's a good idea for me to stay in your room tonight. It could hurt her feelings." Danica's eyes had been drawn down to the floor while confessing this, not being able to meet his gaze and see the rejection there. Yes, she was taking a blow to the heart, but first and for most Danica was going to be John's friend who was trustworthy and honest.

Danica Angelus fidgeted with her fingers while smiling slightly. It was good that he was taking a higher path and doing what was right; treating that other woman well instead of tossing her aside. "I really don't have to sleep, remember? But a shower and perhaps just some downtime would be good after all of that drama." Danica sighed and looked up at him. "Thank you John." Temptation was there to place a kiss to his cheek, but the woman resisted and slowly as well as clumsily headed into his room.

Danica Angelus strolled down the stairs, not wearing John's coat as she had left it in his room, and almost missed the last step. "...seems I still have a bit of recovery to do." She was able to catch herself though before anything seriously embarrassing had taken place. Reaching the bar counter, Danica would study the rather large black stain now on her once completely white shirt, and sigh. It was her lucky shirt... "I guess... it would be a good time to drink."

Danica Angelus jumped slightly as a rather clumsy man almost vaulted towards her and landed on the bar top. "Umm... Danica?" Her expression was rather confused and unsure about this man. She could easily smell the alcohol on him and it made her want to gag for her sensitive nose. "Do you... need something...?" Patiently she waited for the drunkards reply, hoping to God he was not going to turn out to be some sort of pervert attempting to get into her pants. So not going to happen.

Danica Angelus scooted slightly away from the man, gaining more comfort in doing so. Where was her brother when she needed someone to be chased off? Danica was far too kind to actually tell someone to bugger off. "Seirios, quite a name you got there. Can't say that I've known someone by that name before..." Oh what a pitiful attempt at making lame conversation. Maybe if she just continued to be extremely boring he might leave, and take that god awful smell with him.

Danica Angelus now felt terribly bad since he was able to guess what she was thinking. Instantly to cover her tracks, the woman placed a smile on her face. "Not really, it's just been a very long evening for me. There was an attack here a few hours ago from some military group and well..." She motioned towards the rather large black stain on her shirt. "I ended up in a bit of trouble." If the man were to ask about why the stain was black, Danica was more than ready with a lie to cover her immortality.

Danica Angelus was quite surprise to have her view of Seirios blocked by this enormous man. "Wow..." It was a rude comment but it was just a fast reaction that Danica could not have caught even if she had tried. "Hello there..." She'd have to lean back to even look up at him. Hearing a riddle behind her somewhere, before the man could reply she shouted out, "Nothing!" A small grin was laid on her lips at her triumph.

Danica Angelus could feel the timbre of this man's voice in the pit of her belly with each syllable he spoke. But what was more surprising to her was what her new acquaintance was saying on the other side of this giant. Danica couldn't hold back the laugh, but would stop at the intruding voice in her mind. She may have been immortal but it did not mean she was protected against psychics. "Umm..." Danica was at a loss for words as she didn't know how to respond to him as the woman did not want to hurt Seirios' feelings again.

Danica Angelus burst through the door with a man following on her heels. She looked quite displeased, a rather angry expression on her face and the poor man looked as if his heart were breaking into a million pieces to scatter along the floor.

"Dani please! Just stop and talk to me. Just one drink, let me buy you just one dri-" He didn't get to finish the sentence before Danica spun around with a clenched fist aimed for his face. Poor guy saw nothing but lights before he hit the floor. Danica stared down at him for a bit before her nerves told her brain that, that shit had hurt. "Fuckin', oh my god that hurt!" The woman gave her hand a shake before cradling it in her free hand. "Son of a bitch. That was almost so not worth it."

Danica Angelus was still grimacing from the pain in her hand. She may or may not have broken something. Had there been some sort of crack-sound when she hit him? Danica had not a clue. In her anger, the woman decided to give him a few kicks for hurting her hand, even though technically that had been her fault. "Stupid... idoit... ugh!" With one last kick, Danica stood over him, her chest heaving and those gray eyes still filled with mirth.

Danica Angelus flinched at being touched and a wave of panic ran along her skin before realization settled in. In a breathy voice the woman apologized, "Oh... sorry, Fatin. I-I uh... got a little carried away, I think." Clearing her throat, Danica lowered her gaze from Fatin feeling a little foolish at letting her anger get the best of her.

Danica Angelus sighed and nodded. "Yeah... it's alright. Hurts a little bit though." Hurts a shit ton is what she meant. "And what can I say, the dude shouldn't have been bothering me after I told him like... a hundred times to leave me alone. I probably should have just called the cops but, I felt at that moment, a punch would speak louder than a phone call."

Danica Angelus shrugged, "I have no clue Fatin. I met him in the street and we talked for a bit then he started to get all stalkerish on me, so naturally I came here to get help." Her eyebrows rose. "Apparently I do well enough on my own and I'm a secretary."

Danica Angelus gave Fatin a rather odd look. 'Girl things?' Danica never really grew up around girls, or girly things so that was an unfamiliar territory. Nonetheless though, she followed after Fatin.

"Well what... do you have in mind to talk about. I mean... I really don't have anything interesting." She did, but it wasn't like Danica was going to tell her the same things she told John. Where was he anyway? The woman shook her head and sat down at the aforementioned table. Best to not think about him lest she get carried away.

Danica Angelus blinked at Fatin and cleared her throat. Should she be honest or... lie? Lying was bad and Danica was so trying her best to have an honest life here. "Um... well, we're just friends, but I-I..." Danica lowered her voice and leaned into Fatin, "... like him for more than a friend." Sitting back up into her seat, Danica would reiterate, "But we're just friends, like I said. I think he's dating that girl over there anyway." She pointed towards Sophia.
