Danica Angelus

Nieght's sister, and co-worker though she has been on a hiatus for very discreet reasons. What could those be and where does her brother work exactly?

0 · 698 views · located in Canti's Diner

a character in “The Multiverse”, originally authored by Prose, as played by RolePlayGateway

Description

Stats//...
Name: Danica Grace Angelus
Nickname: Dani
Age: She has been nineteen for two years now. (Technically twenty-one years old).
Race: Spaniard/German/Italian/Caucasian.
Species: Homo Immortalis.

Height: 5'4"
Weight: 122lbs.
Body Structure: Athletic/Tone.

Classification: "Dangerous to the public". Subjective. There has been no proof thus far that Danica does pose a threat to humanity, the supernatural, or other beings, etc. But because there has not been any proof so far, the woman is highly watched over by her personal guardian, Nieght Angelus. Possible threats to any and all lifeforms is not tolerable. Any signs of becoming feral, Danica would be detained permanently or executed.
Main Occupation: Works as an intelligence operative for a major paranormal investigative corporation, P.P.I. Corps. (Private Paranormal Investigation Corporation).
Minor Occupation: Since being on her hiatus, Danica generally will do the necessary paper work for her brother concerning any investigations. Thus, it brings her down from an Agent to a part-time Secretary.
Style of Choice: Generally business casual with tailored black pants and a white button up, collared shirt. Sometimes though, the woman will wear something more "feminine" and "fashionable", though it would take a particularly good mood or a special event.
Languages: English Basic.

Intelligence: Danica has the knowledge of quite a few subjects, though none of it in-depth aside from when it comes to the paranormal. As her job was to collect intelligence of the different species and races of supernatural creatures, Danica is quite adept as identifying and classifying those beings.
Power: She has not developed any significant abilities thus far. Though studies have revealed that the woman does not age any longer, does not have the need to eat or sleep. There is the need for her to feed. Danica's method includes draining the life energy from beings that surround her including but not limited to: mortals, immortals, magical beings, beasts, paranormal anomalies, and flora.
Updated: As she has been exposed to more and more stress, Danica now exudes a thick pheromone into the air which can attract those that are too near her. This is passive and she does not realize this power yet.
Charisma: In this regard, Danica is just the normal "teenager". She has the level of high vocabulary, but decides to not use it unless the occasion calls for such an action. She is, however, easily personable and approachable in her charisma.
Dexterity: Being a Homo Immortalis, the woman is rather normal and so her reflexes do not yet exceed those of a normal human mortal. Even when she was mortal, Danica never was the most graceful of her class.
Agility: Danica is flexible to a degree, though she can't do the splits nor put her foot behind her head. It would be placed a just above average for a female.
Magic: So far there have been no developments of magical abilities, though the creature who caused this change in Danica held such powers. Assumption would be made that it perhaps takes time or high-stress levels to develop these in Danica.

Current Location: Currently she has been spotted more commonly at Gambit's bar than anywhere else in the Multiverse. Generally she does not adventure outside of Wing City.
Current Home: 6664 Sol Avenue, Wing City.
Companions: Her only friend thus far that has been made is Johnny Izumi of the organization named The Invictus. Another acquaintance was made from a man named Jahan, though friendship status has not been achieved. Stryfe, or also known as Fatin, has also been acquainted to Danica, and she hopes to create a more personable level with this woman who also belongs with the Invictus. Miles the bartender, quite the OCD man is her newest acquaintance.
Relationship Status: Currently not dating, or married. Single.
Orientation: Straight.

Disabilities: Danica does not have any disabilities, though her brother and she do refer to her current state as a disability. They prefer that no one know of the change or that Danica is not %100 human.

Danica Angelus moved down the stairs after John but stopped beside Stryfe, not wanting to get into John's personal business. "Isn't there a diner around here somewhere? My brother mentioned that it had nice food. I really wouldn't want to eat bar food, but if that's what John prefers then I won't protest either." She'd just pretend to eat. "You eat, Fatin? You're more than welcome to join if you want."

It was hard to not pay attention to what might or might not have been going on between John and that woman, but Danica managed easily enough. Again, it wasn't her right to get involved.

Danica Angelus flashed a glance at the others across the way then back to Fatin. "Probably, I'm not worried about me though. Friends is always a good thing so... John can decide for himself what's best for him an-" The rest of her comment would be interrupted by a hand latching around her arm.

"Where have you been all night? Do you know how much I worried? Are you crazy?" Nieght's expression was quite disappointed as he stared at his sister.

Danica was left entirely in shock, and could do nothing but stammer out an apology, "I-I'm sorry. I just got caught up with a friend. Nothing happened...!"

Danica Angelus attempted to tug her arm away from her brother, but failed horribly. "I was just staying with a friend. Just because of my... disability, it doesn't mean that I can't have a life!"

Nieght prepared to tug her out of the building before a weapon was trained onto him. He remained quite cool and calm, apparently used to this type of treatment. Actually he was used to them being fired at him, but it was all the same. "Excuse me Miss. I am trying to have a discussion here with my sister. I would prefer it if you did not aim your gun at me."

Danica Angelus was rather embarrassed at this point of what was going on. If anyone ever had a wonder as to why the girl never made any friends... they wouldn't anymore, as it was quite clear the reason why. "Nieght, please stop... it's been two years. I can take care of myself."

Nieght remained studying the woman who was attempting to stand up for his sister. They must have not known what she was just yet. Good, they didn't need to know. "This girl is my sister and is still in my custody. I can do what I please with her." His hold on Danica though would loosen to where Nieght wasn't gripping so harshly on her upper arm now.

Danica Angelus groaned and finally broke her arm away from her brother. A frown was more than apparent on her face, and her cheeks flushed with anger. "See? Everything is just fine so just let me be... normal for a day." Her tone would dramatically change after a sigh. "Please Nieght...?"

It took him a long moment to consider both of the females words, but eventually his soft side came out from beneath his hard exterior. She did seem to have made some decent friends this time. "Very well then... but I am trusting that you will let nothing harm her, yes?" It wasn't that these people could possibly hurt Danica physically, but that she could put their lives in danger.

"I'll be fine. I promise." Danica once again pleaded to her brother.

Nieght let her go completely and nodded, "Alright then." And with that, the sibling dispute was settled.

Danica Angelus rubbed her eyes, trying to relieve the headache that had come up right then. "Thank you, Fatin. I really do appreciate it. You didn't ha-"

"I'm late for the office. I really should be going. Danica...", he gave her a stern look, "Make sure you keep your phone close to you. I want to be able to contact you." Nieght would pass Stryfe a charming smile, albeit a crooked one, before heading out the bar.

Danica Angelus nodded. More sleep sounded good...even if she didn't need it but at least she would get some peace. "Alright, I guess I'll see you around later." But instead of making her way back up the stairs as was initially planned, Danica made way to the front door. While passing John and the woman, she would smile at them. "See you later John."

Danica Angelus casually walked into the bar wearing fresh clothing and the scent of cherry blossoms wafting around her faintly. The woman was in a rather good mood now, after having quite a downer when her brother attempted to snatch her right from the company of her friends. But that had been discussed between them, and now Danica was experiencing a newer freedom; one that she has not had in two years.

Making her way to the bar counter in no time, she simply ordered a glass of water to seem as "normal" as possible. As usual some sort of violent conflict was taking place, but this Danica avoided. That was the last thing she wanted to be caught up in.

Danica Angelus heard a voice off to her right and saw that someone was attempting to acquaint themself with her. She smiled and replied, "What's up?" It wasn't much longer after that, that the bartender had put the chilled glass of refreshing water on the counter for her. This she would turn towards and take small sips from while allowing her attention to wander.

Danica Angelus set down the glass and shook her head, "Not really... I live quite a boring life so, I don't have any interesting stories to tell a bard. Aren't you the one that is supposed to tell stories?"

Danica Angelus blinked at the man and then coughed into her hand while her eyebrows rose of their own accord. "Yeah... totally." Not everyday that someone would just outright say they're human. Then as if Danica were waiting for someone, she glanced around the room to find no one she knew. But, the woman did notice someone at the bar not too far from her. Poor guy looked exhausted.

Danica Angelus "Hmm? Oh... not at all." She paused to consider before speaking again, "And it's Danica, no need to call me Miss. Don't particularly like that. Makes me feel all old, and I am definitely not old."

Danica Angelus thought about that for a second and shook her head. "Well it's kind of loud in here so I think it'd be wasting your tim-" Her words were interrupted by the man who was noted as tired. "No, not really. I'm just a secretary for my brother." Danica gave him an apologetic smile even though there really was no need for one.

Danica Angelus held out a pleading hand towards Xian, "Really there was no need for that. He probably just really needs that interior decorator. I don't mind, so it's fine." Turning her attention back to the other man, Danica sighed, "I'm sorry, I'm sure he didn't mean that. Oh..." She would stop speaking after the compliment and merely blink. Danica could not help but to blush. How was it that in this city, men were more apt to speak to her and even compliment her? Brushing her hair back from her face, her eyes wandered and John was spotted across the way which put a smile on her face. "John! Hey...!" She returned the wave and even made a gesture to invite him over. 'Please god let him come over here... ', her thought was silent, but probably wouldn't be hidden by those that could read minds.

Danica Angelus was surprised that Xian had left and she waved to him as he did so. Strange... just because she wanted John for company didn't mean that he had to leave to unless.. oh dear. "John, something wrong?" Usually by now he would have said something to her, and this quiet thing he had going on was making her extremely nervous and uncomfortable.

Danica Angelus blinked a few times at John's reply which put a downer on her heart. Nothing to be jealous of? Did he mean that she was not worthy of being jealous over or that he wasn't jealous of the other guys because he was confident enough in himself? Danica had no clue. "I guess I'm fine... just decided to get out of the house after discussing some things with Nieght. And pretty much came in here, guy started talking to me, then this guy," she gestured towards Serberus with a hand, "chased him off." Danica shrugged at that. "Um... what's your name anyway?" She asked the tired man.

Danica Angelus smiled at Serberus, "Well it's nice to meet you and thank you for the compliment earlier, even though... I really don't deserve it." Her attention would again fall on John, which put a frown on her face again. Something was definitely wrong and she was going to get to the bottom of it. "Umm, excuse me Serberus if you don't mind. I have to talk to John right quick..." Danica reached over and grabbed a hold on John's elbow, attempting to tug him to a secluded corner of the bar.

Danica Angelus would let go of his elbow and cross her arms beneath her bust. "I know you said that nothing was wrong, but you're totally acting strangely right now. Usually you get all talkative but you are seriously being quiet and it's kind of freaking me out right now. Please tell me what's wrong, John."

Danica Angelus sighed in relief to know that John was ok aside from the little bout of jealousy from her speaking to other guys. Tucking her hair behind her ear, she then placed her hands on his biceps. "And... you didn't think that I was jealous this morning when you were speaking to that other woman? So, I kinda understand how you feel. Believe me, you don't have anything to worry about John. I promise. I'm only interested in making some new friends, alright? Can I have that much? I mean... it's not like we're dating but I'm sure you're still concerned all the same." Danica smiled up at him and gave his arms a little comforting squeeze of affection.

Danica Angelus leaned forward and just as she did this morning, placed a kiss to his cheek which probably lingered there for far longer than need be. "Thank you John. You're such a good friend, really." Danica let go of his arms and gave him a look over. "You look nice today... well, it's the same as yesterday but I thought you could use a compliment from a pretty girl." Then she noticed the building and ground trembling, which made Danica start to panic. "John...?" Nervously she began to look around to try and find the cause. Was it an earthquake? Did the multiverse even have fault lines?
