Physical Description

Age: 7 (49+/-)
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 101 lbs.
Eyes: Gold
Physique
Standing tall for a foxkin at five foot six, Davien is still also incredibly slender just like the rest of his race. His fur is just barely on the scruffy side, giving him a desheveled look to other foxkin. Most other races don't notice at all.
His lower left canine is chipped off clean at the base from repetitive grinding. His tail, almost long enough to drag on the ground if not lifted, still remains maintained and groomed, unlike the rest of Davien's Fur.
His eyes are sharp as a tack, even in his well hidden "middle age". His ears are slightly larger than what they would be on an average fox, and the coloration of them gives an illusion of them being larger still. His teeth are also yellowed from occasional pipe smoking.
Davien has three scars. The first scar is a clawmark down his muzzle, almost completely faded with time and covered up with fur. Only in certain lighting or with a very close look would it be obvious.
The second scar is wrapped around Daviens lower calf. It is a bald spot all the way around his leg, with little evenly spaced dots directly in the center. (Davien wraps a colorful cloth around this one to hide it, and states its purely for the fashion, or a religious tradition if truly being pressed.)
The third, largest scar is a large set of teeth marks going across his abdomen and back, horizontally along the top of his hips, and curving upward towards the ribcage at the edges. The scar is almost a mirror image of itself on his front and back. Although this is actually dozens of scars, they are counted as one.
Davien will brag about or try to intimidate people with stories about his first scar, but he will never, ever intentionally let anyone see his second or third.
Davien certainly knows how to dress to impress. He keeps a set of nice clothes for when he gets into the city, but usually sticks with his cowl and leather armor. He foregoes boots and gloves. As stated above he always has some sort of cloth wrapped around his calf.
Coloration:
Daviens paws are completely black, turning orange halfway up his forearms and legs. His chest is white at the center, fading into orange around the abdomen. The tip of his tail is also white, with a small band of black before turning orange up to the base. The tip of his nose is jet black, very quickly turning white along the muzzle and curling down around the mouth, connecting with the white patch on his chest.
Small black circles around his eyes could almost pass for very thick masquera. Davien is peppered with sparse gray fur from the tips of his ears to his feet, but he ferociously denies it. Once again, this is a feature that would pass by almost any other race except for a Foxkin.

Biography:
Davien had a stable and boring first two decades of his life, nestled away in the forest in a community called Talbot. The community was made up of about 20 other foxkin. They were close enough to civilization to trade and bring back trinkets from the corners of the world, but Daviens existence was about 1 square mile.
His parents, the Chefs for the community, never left the village. They never let Davien leave either. Whether they were paranoid about the outside world, or trying to hide away from something, we may never know.
Davien was usually stonewalled when he got to asking too many questions about it. He would listen to stories that his friends parents would tell of the outside world, and when his friends began to leave as well, he began to loathe his parents. Out of all of Talbot, he was sure their family was the only one to never leave.
There was only one thing that kept him from running away: Arliss. He had secretly admired her since he was a kit. They had always been best friends, but she had also always been courted by another. His name was Garcon. If years ago Davien had just beaten him to the punch and been truthful with Arliss, the story might be very different today.
One day Davien snapped. He could not take the thought of her with him for another second. As he approached them while they walked together down the road, he began to run towards Garcon. Surprise began to fill both their eyes Garcon braced for the blow.
In the ensuing fight the tables turned against Davien very quickly. Before long, he was on the ground, bleeding from the face. This is where he recieved his first scar, across his muzzle. Suddenly Garcons assault ceased as he let out a stifled yelp of pain. As Daviens eyes focused, he saw Arliss had hit him in the back of the head with a stone, which now lay next to his unconsious body.
As Davien stood up he met Arliss's eyes. It became apparent her feelings mirrored his own. Garcon still lay at their feet. They had to do something, he was coming to. His eyes blearily opened and focused on the pair. Arliss kicked him once more directly in the snout, sending him back under. She took Davien's hand, running towards the forest with him in tow. That was the last time either of them set foot in Talbot.
From that day foreward Davien and Arliss were inseperable, madly in love. They did not find a road they didn't want to travel down. As long as they were together, the world was their home. They lived under the sun and slept under the stars. It never even occured to them in the three decades they spent roaming to return to Talbot.
When Arliss and Davien came to a city, they loved to tell stories (if somewhat inflated) of their adventures to the townsfolk in exchange for food and provisions. They could also hold up surprisingly well in a fight for two small foxes, but were entirely dependent on each other. Davien would zig, and Arliss would zag. Most likely they would be fairly easy to take down individually. Perhaps this is another reason they never wanted to be out of each others sight.

On a freezing mountain pass one winters afternoon, the couple had been stranded by the weather. They were forced to find a nearby cave to take shelter in. The pitch black cave was comprised of small, tight tunnels riddled with rock formations.

As they settled in, Davien stepped on what he thought must be a snake. But a tendril snapped taut and wrapped around Davien's leg, piercing it with nail sized claws. This is where Davien recieved his second scar. He screamed in pain, alerting Arliss to his situation.
He had alerted a Roper (See monster manual). The tentacle dragged him ever closer as he lost more of his strength. He looked at Arliss, completely helpless and quickly losing muscle function. The beast lifted him up off the ground and opened its maw, lowering Davien in. He felt teeth begin to pierce his body, threatening to seperate his top half from his bottom half. This is how he recieved his third scar.
Suddenly though, the teeth retracted and Davien was thrown well across the tunnel, sliding across the ground in a bloody heap. He still had just enough strength to look back and see that Arliss had climbed up the monsters rocky exterior, ascending to its cycloptic eye. She had plunged a dagger into it, causing the tentacles to flail and mouth fly open as the Roper let out a bellow of rage and anguish.
Rocks began to fall from the ceiling as Arliss ran full speed towards Davien. The ceiling collapsed over her as she was roughly 20 feet from him. Davien, beaten and bloody, snapped to a state of clarity and panic. Relying entirely on his sense of smell, he dug through the rocks for hours trying to find her. She couldn't be gone. It was impossible.
He finally pulled aside a moderately sized rock to find her hand in the rubble. Davien grabbed it and squeezed. Cold, stiff... Gone. He had failed her. He tried to move more rubble, but the boulder sized chunks of rock refused to budge. He sat down, rubbed his paws into his eyes and screamed. He couldn't tell if it was minutes or hours when he stopped. He only did so out of pure exhaustion.
Falling back onto the cave floor, Davien fell into an involuntary slumber. When he awoke there was still no indication of time passed. Only one thing was certain anymore, he was no longer whole, no longer truly alive as he was. He began to ponder the possibilities, he knew of necromancers from tales he had heard in Talbot, but, had no knowledge of where they were or are in the world.
There had to be someone out there who could right this wrong, and it was making more and more sense to him to do what he had done next. Davien cut her hand off of her arm and wrapped it up in a cloth. It sickened him to his core to do so, but in his mind it was the only chance to bring her back.

Daviens psyche recieved a permanent hairline fracture that day, making it his own secretive goal to find a Necromancer and bring back Arliss using only her dried, leathery hand. He keeps it tucked away in his satchel around people. When alone, especially at night, he will take it out, lace his fingers with "hers" and gaze at the stars.
He will still talk to her as well, sometimes spending hours telling her about his recent activities, and progress to bring her back. Davien however still has enough self awareness to know how creepy this looks, and goes through great lengths to hide his strange behavior.
It is more than likely true that he simply cannot help utilising this type of coping mechanism though, the hand being his entire world, future and past. His substitute reason for existence and underlying ultimate goal.
He wanders through his days since the end of his world in a disjointed state, still roaming along as he did with Arliss, but with a new sense of purpose and urgency. He sometimes doesnt sleep for days travelling to the next rumor or lead he's heard and becomes delerious, succumbing to his own psyche and having hallucinations. This can cause erratic behavior.
Overall though, he is still very vibrant, outgoing and pleasant company. He likes to hear new tales and jokes, not for his own interest, but to seem interesting when he repeats them for an audience. He is always the first to say hello, always the first to offer help. But he would also immediately expect you to help him soon after.
Davien tries to have people unwittingly help with his agenda, all while making it seem like he's helping them. This has varying degrees of success. Without Arliss he is very hesitant to fight, and would more than likely want to talk his way out of jams than rely on combat.

Quirks:
• Davien begins to wring his hands the longer he talks. He just can't help it.
• Davien has a fairly disjointed and unfocused attention span. Sometimes it seems like while he is fully listening, he is still miles away, thinking ahead for whatever he's planning next.
• Davien mumbles incessantly. Though barely audible, it is almost like he cannot have a thought without mouthing it.
• Davien grinds his teeth in his sleep. He is an extremely restless sleeper, only getting an average of 3-4 hours a night.
• Davien can stand being indoors but grows increasingly irritated and anxious the longer he is. He doesn't like being in buildings, and especially caves.

So begins...

Davien slipped his way into the threshold of the doorway for the Cafe. Unconsciously, effortlessly, and expertly, he bobbed and weaved between the much tall patrons, muzzled upwardly turned to take in the view of peoples beer bellies and nose hairs, a view that could only come from being so short. The small Mishqua found his way towards one of the walls, where he could relax. His tail twitched in annoyance as he tried his best to undo the broken zipper on the jacket he was currently wearing, finally getting it to force its way past the broken tooth in the line as it came undone with a familiar "zzzip" sound.

He produced a small piece of paper, probably from a magazine or textbook of some sort, having typed letters on one side and not the other. On the blank side there was a smattering of crude block letters, barely arranged correctly with keywords misspelled.

"Kristofer, , multey versal cafay, Danger Muney!!"

He refolded the piece of paper carefully, as if it were some sacred artifact, and put it back in the ratty jacket that adorned him. Davien found himself frustrated with his immediate surroundings, as he usually did after a while. Staying put for too long went against every one of his instincts, and wherever he had heard this rumor, something deep in his gut told him to jot the information down. It may very well be his ticket out of this place. But where to start the search for this... Davien squinted at the paper again, green eyes dilating as his ears folded back slightly. "Kristopher...." He sounded out the name, realizing it was a fairly common one for humans. Hopefully it would be easy enough to spot such a person in the cafe based around more than his name.

Scanning the room, Davien once again decided to rely on his gut, watching the other patrons demeanor and attire to try and suss out the more likely suspects. Sitting a bit farther away from the more townsy looking folk were two individuals, one reading a book and the other wearing a full face cover. Hm. It was at least worth a shot, the Mishqua thought to himself. Walking along the wall, he made his way over to the Duo, and stood in front of the table they were currently sitting at. He smiled nervously to both of them, as his ears tucked back slightly with anxiety. Producing the small almost illegible note, he gingerly unfolded it and put it in front of the two men, turning it 180 degrees to face the men.

"Em..." He said just a bit quietly and anxiously. "Excuse me. Are either of you Christopher?" He said with small, toothy and inquiring smile, softly ringing his hands together. "I am here to help?" He said, looking up and over the table at the two. "I promise, I look like not much..." He said, his accent and grammar muddying up his last few words. "But I can be useful if you let me." He said with a nod, waiting for their reaction.

Christopher's eyes darted around, catching sight of one man approaching. Vithimiris lowered his head slightly, on-edge and keeping a close eye. Saying nothing was usually not a good sign, however he did not act...instead keeping his cool, and merely narrowing his eyes from beneath the mask. Another figure was brought to Christopher's attention as well, this one a fox, and he was looking for...well, them. Good! Good...

"I am Christopher," He spoke up, coughing and eyeing Vejeshin once more. Presuming him to be here for them and not here to cause trouble, he continued. "I'm assuming my advertisement for exploration caught you two's eyes?...Ahem, yes well. Forgive my lack of professionalism. But I will cut straight to the point."

Pulling out a map, Christopher laid it atop the table before them, pointing to a mountain among the map. "This right here," he began again, "is a place of great mystery and intrigue for me personally. Not so much the political matter that took place here." Christopher pointed to a place marked as "Valley of Shadows" and huffed. "Some danger, fighting if you will, exists there. It's best to avoid it. Instead, we're aiming for a far more mysterious - and maybe even sinister location. It's not listed on this map, however there's a rumor of great power residing somewhere within this abandoned fortress."

Christopher cleared his throat, and rolled up the map after a few moments of pondering over it. "I'm willing to pay a handsome amount of coin to anyone who wishes to join me on this expedition to the mountain. Pay in advance will be given - half of what will be earned - however bailing will ensure you won't be paid the rest. And...I don't know how dangerous this path will be. It may be easy, or it may be a death trap. I'd rather err on the side of safety and have help with me."

Perhaps his sullen appearing silence hadn’t been the correct means to approach the two, but the reality of the situation deemed it to be appropriate, in his opinion. Subjective reasoning, of course, and yet still apt for the situation at hand. He’d presumed the two to be the ones he’d sought, and he’d been proven correct in his assumptions the moment a bipedal fox being took to conversing with them. And so he continued in silence, simply returning the unwavering stare from the masked individual whilst waiting for Christopher to explain his piece.

His eyes darted immediately to the map pulled out, scanning it swiftly and adeptly, keeping keen ears open to listen to the accompanying details offered. Mention of a Valley of Shadows, and the idea to avoid it, instead placing focus on an abandoned fortress. He had to stifle, even bite back, a chuckle at the comment that despite having a map, the location they’d be aiming for didn’t even appear upon it.

Then the matter of money seemed to rear its head. Compensation always had to be involved. Perhaps the foxkin could use it, but Vegeshin had no earthly desire for it. In any situation involving compensation in the form of payment, he’d always denied it; outright refused it. It didn’t seem right, most oft. He figured now would be a better time than any to finally speak up, and the calm, low, tone of his voice broke through.

“To err on the side of caution would be wise, of course...yet. You’ve no other intel on the location, in question, other than rumor and myth?” Vegeshin questioned initially, sidling up closer finally to point at him as he rolled up the map. “You’ve a map, but no definitive idea where the location may be on that map?” He added with a light chuckle. “Or does that come after one either agrees to, or declines, the offer?”

Shrewd; an accurate word, but a far cry beneath what Vegeshin could be defined as. He existed on a plateau far above a simple word such as shrewd. Perhaps he read into things far too intently, and in convoluted and complex ways; be that fact. Still he, too, erred on the side of caution. Toed it indefinitely.

He waved a dismissive hand. “I don’t need payment. I’m a man obligated to his purpose. Some call me a hero. Others a vigilante. Yet others, the obscure term paragon.” He began. “I can’t deny the fact your parchment found its way to me. That said, I’ll consider this a duty of mine, and not a job.” His lids closed for a moment of brief respite, his resonating tone falling silent for just as short a moment. “Although…” he began, opening an eye. “While my services are free, they may be a bit excessive for something like this.” He mentioned with a light grin.

If there came a moment he’d have to display just a fractional margin of what he held capacity for, well, be it bound to astound.

Davien did his very best to listen along, nodding when the others did and pretending he understood the multisyllabic words better than he did. Gleaning from the conversation what was going on, he hopped dexterously up onto a nearby chair to look at the map with everyone else, remaining silent as he absorbed what was going on. Hrm… Abandoned… Davien had definitely heard that word before. Then Davien heard it.

“Handsome amount of coin.” Daviens ears perked towards the man who said the phrase, eyes lighting up and mouth opening with excitement. Davien didn’t have the largest understanding of why he needed gold, but he knew he would be powerful if he had some. Especially if he had a lot. From what he had seen of humankind, the yellow metal controlled entire kingdoms, and perhaps, just maybe, Davien could make his own. His tail twitched in anticipation of this daydream, but he knew at least in the more grounded reality of the situation, he would at least be able to afford rent, and eat non-pilfered food for a while.

Davien heard the part about Danger, and couldn’t really be bothered. If it was a death trap, the sneaky vulpine would be sure to wriggle his way out somehow. The others? Maybe not.. But that was not of his concern. Besides, the purple haired one looked as though he was simply doing this for fun, which surprisingly put Daviens little mind more at ease. His excitement could no longer be contained as Christopher wrapped up. He jumped atop the table next to the map pointing a heroicly posed finger out the window as his tail wagged. “To the Valley of Shadows! The rest of our lives begins there!”

Christopher was surprised, not just from the responses he was getting but by the new arrival of another as well. "I am he." Was his only response for the woman, he was already busy explaining everything and now listening to these two, he didn't feel like going over this all over again, so he opted to convince himself she had been paying attention, and that it'll all be okay.

Towards Veji, Christopher adjusted his appearance to look more 'official' despite the fact that he was anything but, and puffed his chest out a bit in faux pride. "I know precisely the direction we're heading, the signs to look out for, and what everything entails. Trust me. I have hunted mysterious and mythical locations many times. I only go after ones I'm sure are real." Regarding payment, he waved a hand dismissively. "Very well. We'll discuss it in more detail afterwards if things change."

Turning his attention to Davien and the new woman, he nodded to them. "Yes, yes indeed...no. Wait. No. Not to the Valley of Shadows. We are searching for a treasure...of sorts, somewhere near the mountain that's close to that valley. But we should avoid the valley itself."

Pulling his spellbook from his bag and activating an effect which was apparently pre-written into the tome, a inky blue portal of sorts formed in mid-air within the cafe, revealing itself to everyone. "Alright. This was made before, and is attuned to the location in the mountains where we need to start if we are to make good progress. Follow me through, and we can begin..."

Saying this, Christopher stepped through...

So the man appeared to be confident in where he’d planned on journeying, at least he could find some sense of comfort in that. Not entirely, of course, in lieu of the man’s sudden need to present himself in a more profound nature; alluding to one of two things. Confidence, or lack thereof. Regardless, knowing full well the caliber he sat comfortably in, Vegeshin found little concern as to the where, the why, or any threats. He could, likely, deal with the lot of it as it came up. His primary goal was to keep the lot of them as safe as he possibly could, no matter what trials were faced and he’d do just that.

“Fair enough.” He silently replied, before following the man through the enigmatic portal that lay before them. At this point, Vegeshin casually began to toss caution into the wind. The man, in question, that he’d taken this job from seemed far from the type to collude with his elder sibling. He didn’t fit the mold, and so the lavender hued mixed blood allowed himself the pleasure of dismissing his uneasiness.
Humor could be found, though, in the fact that Vegeshin had promptly followed the man through, and so upon Christopher calling out that it had been safe to cross; Vegeshin couldn’t help but stare at the man with a blank expression. “As I can see, yes it is. Wouldn’t it have been a bit more...Mmnn…” He began, then faltered and allowed his words to fall away, waving a dismissive hand in the fellows direction. “Nevermind.” He added with a sudden chuckle.

He allowed himself a swift stretch, limbering up a mild bit, before feeling out his surroundings. Sensory perception of all five senses seemed normal, with his sixth sense of sorts, Ki Sensory, responding as normal as anywhere else. It did, truly, appear to be safe, at least according to what he could perceive. “Quite the sight to see. It’s not often I travel outside of civilization here on Terra.” He murmured to himself before turning to Christopher. “I’ll be but a moment; that said if you’ve anything important to say, remember it and relay it to me when I return to the ground…” He mentioned.

To the ground? Indeed. Without hesitation, nor a second thought, he left the surface and began to rise upward into the air. Levitation, or flight. Various individuals considered it various different things. He knew it as Bukujutsu, or the ability to manipulate one’s Ki so as to allow themselves flight. His goal seemed merely to be an extended reconnaissance of the area. His eyes could only peer so far in the current vicinity, with trees and other flora and fauna acting as hindrances. He’d only be a moment, though, and left the floor to Christopher so as to not hold up any important conversational pieces he might happen to have.

Christopher lead his group through the Collenham Mountains for about an hour or so, braving the wilds and yet...strangely enough not coming across any vicious fauna like Christopher expected. Odd...to make things stranger, as he neared the site he was directed to he could feel a strange...pull. This lead him through the Mountain Fortress and just into it, as they approach he spoke up.

"Past this point, it is up to the rest of you if you want to stay. There's something strange...something off. I won't let you strangers get pulled into undue danger - not ones beyond perhaps even my own comprehension." Pulling the rest of the money from his satchel he'd move to offer it to those who had taken the quest. "If you wish to stay, it's not bound by the contract so I'd still take the payment. But either way, you're free to make your own choices...thanks for getting me to here."

Vithimiris grunted.

Whether or not the others would stay, Christopher would approach through the entrance, seeing the door and...stunned. There were already people here? He suddenly felt a lot less special.

Kanto was still a little wary and unsure of Flynn's sniffing and prodding, but he stayed close to her, his tail swishing in contemplation. Being dragged across reality? The description itself did no favors to quell his apprehension. But he had come this far, and Flynn seemed like the friendliest creature he had met in this place.

Kanto watched as the transformation took place across the room, heart racing just a bit as he mustered up some courage, keeping close to Flynn as she asked a question about drugs.

"Kanto has not done this... But he will stay close and move swift!" He said with a nod, offering his wrist to the dinosaur as she had requested, looking at her third blinking eye.

"All right then," Jennifer sighed. "If we're going to take a vacation to where I think we're going, we're going to need to stop at my house for supplies. That would be near Ridgecrest City, and the place is crawling with shadow dudes of all types...it's why I ran to this fortress in the first place. Casren, Sara, and, uh...Flynn? On me. Let's see if we can't slip past their perimeter. The light dragon dude makes me think they aren't quite as strong as before. If it comes to a fight, we might be able to break the line, but we're done for if we're surrounded, so we'll have to move fast."

She put her bag back up on her shoulders. "Back to the main gate. We got a long way to go and not a lot of daylight."

Flynn took Davien's hand with a raking trill the small feathers of it silky soft, "rRrRrRrRr! Your rabid gunners are your problem. We have a way out to follow the elf."

Her head lowered to move her feathered tail curled around him to make sure he knew when to slow down so he'd keep pace. As they neared the ripple in reality left behind Flynn's soft melodic humming followed along with ticking coming from darker corners. The world didn't as much get smaller, though there was likely that sense of vertigo, but everything seeming to rotate in place at some strange angle difficult to properly express. Externally Flynn and passenger got flatter the closer to the Elf's last spot before slipping out of reality entirely. Nothing but a lazy lensing of light as if a small disquiet pond hovered a crater in midair.

The inside of the path lost all sense of time in the endless astral plane reflecting on the soul of the one that passed through it. A chaotic place for the unprepared there was never anything to focus on for long before the hall of mirrors shone a new memory. Except for the black feathered sapien in front of him. Occasionally veering up, or even stopping to smell for the trail in painful looking sharp angles. Below them both the hall of mirrors seemed to prefer memories of footprints as if her own desire to trail Yvandir smashed a toe-claw into the memory and held it there. In all Flynn was the island of calm the panes lurking between her feathers fending off the emitted hazardous will of an astral plane.

It was the loss of the contiguity of time that would be the deepest hazard. When the mind lost its place in the inexorable deep that was the Astral plane. While it might perhaps seem that their trip was still ongoing it was Flynn's ardent voice calling for Kanto's attention that was the present moment. He would have to engage with the present moment than the past.

Sara looked to Jennifer "Well i'm trained for stealth missions and with my Psionic powers I should be able to detect any hostiles and if we are careful... and lucky... we should be able to get in and out quick and quiet."

Sara did a check of her rifle and other gear and nodded. "Ok I'll stay cloaked behind you just lead and I will follow. I can use my powers and suit's tech to render myself unseen even by magic and anti stealth tech. Anything tries to attack us...they will be dead before they know I hit them."

Sara then once again vanished from view not even a shimmer of her was seen.

Havasikaji looked around at the scene before her. "What is this?" She demanded. "Who are you people?"

The Aschen team continued to work hard setting up the pallet with the laser drill, while a pair of scientists that dropped down from the ship above began taking close up photographs of the door itself, along with installing anti-mana charges.

"Solis, you're to take the data gathered here back to Langara, where the data will be analyzed and a course of action chosen." The Radio chirped.

The Aschen woman nodded, extending her hand to take the data recorder from her science team.

"Alright, I need to take this back to the Empire." She said, taking the device.

The scientists nodded, before fanning out and taking additional photographs.

Looking up, Erin watched the Aschen vessel disappear without a trace, it's stealth systems engaging, then she touched a device on her wrist, a swirling vortex of energies engulfing her, allowing the woman to seemingly disappear without a trace.

"This," Casren gestured to the Impervious Door, "Is a great puzzle that we've all, somehow, been elected to complete."

"I," The vampire pointed to himself, "Am Casren Bistreo, and it's a pleasure to meet you despite the circumstance. A pleasure to meet a-" He turned, realizing more people had disappeared, but the idea of the drill was still in motion.

Casren sighed and looked after those headed to Ruula. Though he had arrived here with Jennifer, he really wasn't much looking to go traipsing back through the mountains. Casren wasn't hungry, and he wasn't cold, and if anything he was overwhelmingly curious about what was behind The Impervious Door. He gave it a long stare.

Wait, was it looking at the drill?

His earlier scouting hadn’t truly been met with astounding results, albeit he had noticed something quite interesting in the distance. And that had offered a profound impact upon arrival to the door. They were not alone. Others had gathered at the door, rendering this quest of Christopher’s quite null, in a handful of aspects. Events had seemingly transpired in their absence, important information likely missed out upon before their arrival, and even Christopher himself made it quite apparent that they, those who'd joined him, needn’t proceed onward if they found it unnecessary.

And Vegeshin found it just that. Unnecessary. Quite the collection of individuals had gathered, some having already left for whatever ongoing tasks were required of them. Some remained. An Aschen vessel loomed overhead, and then suddenly did so no longer. Various individuals dotted the area, despite many having left, and it left Vegeshin rather disinterested in the happenings from then onward. His task had merely been to bring individual A to location B. And that had been fulfilled; contract completed.

Before any could question the lavender eyed, violet tressed, individual, he casually defied gravity. “Keep your pay, Christopher. As I mentioned earlier, t’was an obligation to fulfill. Stay safe, and enjoy your further adventures.” He offered with a mild smile and a two fingered salute sort of wave. With that, he made his departure so as to not get drawn in to the convoluted nature of such an event. His duty remained to act as a paragon, not an adventurer.
