The child's strange eyes fixated on the woman before her, flickering between the other damu mnywaji's as she offered a soft, expressionless nod. "So long as I am welcome,".

Studying the woman's blemishless hand, the child lifted her own and placed her cool fingers in the other woman's palm.

The child merely looked around, ever the quiet observer. Her eyes flicked to Dominic, then back up to Daemala. "I am Dayo." She said simply. She did not smile. "I come from a long way." And it sounded like it. Her voice lilted with that attractive accent that spoke of her African roots. "And you?"

Dayo Jamilla appeared to be slightly bored. She began to pick at the hem of her lavender blouse.

Dayo Jamilla held a little more tightly to Daemala's hand, eyes fixating on the blade as her opposite hand came up to tuck one of her many dreadlocks behind her ear. She remained quiet, perfectly silent in fact, not even making the allusion of breathing as she glanced to Daemala and offered a small shrug.

Dayo Jamilla let go of Daemala's hand, walking towards the opposite wall and running her fingers over the stone. "It smells like death in here." she noted, looking back to the other female. "Kifo."

Dayo Jamilla turned back at the hint of leaving the dungeon, and walked back over to Daemala, slipping her hand inside the other female's and stepping up to her side.

To her, all of these people were mere mbwa's. But she remained silent, gazing at the others with that wide, almost blank stare. After all, what was unreadable would forever remain a secret.

Dayo Jamilla sat perched at a window, her hands smoothing the hem of her lavender sundress. "I was summoned." she stated plainly, turning her strange eyes to Casren, and then to Daemala. "The stink of mbwa hangs on the air. The night creature." In spite of her youthful appearance, she spoke with incredible diction and maturity.

"Dog." she spoke plainly. "The air stinks of dog." She slid off of the bench seat and walked over to join them. "Is that the ting you speak of?"

She turned toward Harlequin, her face oddly impassive. "Perhaps you should go then, since you profess so much confidence."

Dayo kept her distance between herself and the rest of the group, her hands clasped in front of her as she observed Harlequin's actions with a slightly lifted brow. His actions were embarrassing, but she as a child had next to no input. Not in the others' mind anyway.

To Xiucosendr, she trotted up to his side and, much to the surprise of the others, wrapped her small arms around his waist in a delicate, childlike hug.

Dayo pulled back, glancing to Xiucosendr and then back to Daemala. "I wish to go seek it. It would not be the first mbwa I've had to deal with."

Dayo trotted back over to Daemala, taking her place at the woman's side. "Promises are better than nothing." she retorted, though her voice wasn't quite as demanding as before.

Dayo glanced to Xiuconsendr and then back up at Daemala. "He's a violent sort." she noted quietly.

The child pushed the door to Gambits inward, her palm flat against the cool, metal surface. Blue-green eyes scanned the interior of the establishment, her brow smooth, expression indifferent as she observed the patrons of the bar.

Standing at a modest four-foot-six, upon first impression one might think that the child was indeed just that, nothing more than a nine-year old who had wandered unaccompanied to the wrong part of town. But Dayo, with her intelligent eyes and light, milano appearance, was so much more than what was first perceived.

Ivan was the one who first caught her attention, but she wasn't quite ready to get caught up in socializing. Not yet. The quiet creature made her way over to the bar counter, climbing up onto the bar stool and gazing down at the ordering screen.

Mm, nothing that interested her.

"It is rude to stare." Dayo said with clear diction and a surprisingly mature, adult tone. Turning to look over her shoulder at the man, her tight, brown curls framing a pretty, heart shaped face, she kept her expression flat, her intense gaze the only thing that hinted at some hidden, profound intelligence.

Turning and sitting on the bar stool, she rested her hands in her lap and tilted her head to one side. "So why do you not introduce yourself?"

"Dayo." The girl replied, sitting up a little straighter and meeting his gaze with a calm, expressionless one of her own. "Slave-Trader's Bane, but that was a long, long time ago." Her voice lilted with the accent familiar to central Africa. It was a fluid, romantic sound.

"What is a bone speaker doing alone in this place?" She asked. He seemed like far too self-important of a man to be on his own.

And there were only a few reasons why she might be considering going to a public place.

Alexandra's appearance earned nothing more than a passive glance from the child-like vampire, her oceanic eyes glinting with something akin to irritation. Her lips pursed ever so slightly before she returned her attention to Ivan.

Dayo wrinkled her nose. "Consuming flesh is distasteful. The source of all life is the only thing I have ever desired." She looked away from him, toward the opposite wall, her chin slightly elevated as her lips pursed thoughtfully.

"I always considered it wasteful to leave empty corpses lying around, so during my time in my home country I roamed with a flesh-eater, to make sure resources were utilized. Nothing is wasted, where I am from. There is so little to go around to begin with."

The pretty youth looked at him out of the corner of her eyes, a slight smile revealing those canines again. "You will find that not all of my kind are wasteful, instinct-driven creatures."

"Such sophisticated trades aren't easily found where I'm from." she replied cooly. "And when a full belly is always priority, it makes perfect sense that we implemented our resources the way we did. The way I still do." She offered a mild shrug. "However, if it is bodies that you need, I would be willing to share. I have no use for the shell once I have drained it."

She glanced to Cain, her strange eyes fixing on him as a strange chill ran down her spine. Something about him was upsetting. Perhaps it was her complete lack of a soul that offered her so much discomfort. A brief flare of jealousy spiked, but she squelched it with a soft, internal reprimand.

"Sometimes implementing kindness into your firm demands precedes a more willing offer of servitude." She said directly to Alexandra. She was tired of listening to the whiny bark Alexandra's voice created.
