"Sugar and spice and everything nice, Demi. Not sour, give your auntie a hug Dee." The woman tauted, drawing her thin calloused fingers through the child's hair. Demi sat in silence on the seat beneath her in their booth, frowning, and no doubt seething inwardly. Her hair was done down, braids forming a crown that fell back into a curly mass of golden locks. The woman sitting beside her was quite a large contrast.

The woman was no doubt tall, maybe somewhere near six feet. She was rather bony, muscular but quite thin. She had some meat on those bones, but nothing to be proud of. Her hair was raven black, fell down to her shoulders in bone straight strands. The only sense of color on her face being the green hair pin she had inserted into her hair. She was pale, her lips dark red. She looked nothing like 'Dee'. She smiled coldly at the girl, drawing her fingers through her hair once more, curling them just enough to pull. "You shouldn't be so stubborn, Dee."

Demi crossed her arms and pulled her hair away from her, scooting into the warmth of her grandmothers side. "Demi, don't treat you aunt like that. You are your mothers daughter, but regardless, she needs respect."

"Monkeey!" She shouted, sticking her tongue out at her aunt before dashing under the table like a cat and running towards him. Thank goodness, at least someone was still not crazy.

"Monkey...?" Demi said wearly, twiddling her fingersnervously as she came to a halt at the bottom of the stairs. Her aunt and uncle had kicked her out of their room because they had 'things to do' that she shouldn't be around, they said. She'd missed Monkey last night, and wished she hadn't had to stay with Grey that entire time.

She moved herself over to a seat, climbing onto it with relevant ease, and looking about the room quietly. She didn't see any familiar faces.

"One potato. Two Potato. Three potato, four...." Demi sang, hopping from one foot to another as she walked across the floor of Gambit's, making her way towaerds the array of tables. She looked as though she were trying to hop squares, although there were no squares to be hopped.Just, wood planks fo different shades.

The girl looked like she was getting ready to go somewhere special, if one knew how she usually dressed, this was a half-step up from that. A white tank top, with pink and turquoise geometrical shapes. Matching capri pants, and an oversized white flower in her hair.

Her sandals made a very loud 'smack' against the wood a final time, before she decided to stop her game, staring about the room. What to do, what to do.

Demi had found the need to pick at the petals on the flower in her hair, they were so fun to rip apart. She knew Violet would have at her once she saw though, she'd taken at least an hour just to get it to look right.

She was just abuot to sit down when she felt herself being lifted into the air, and onto... Oh. Monkey. That was good. She thought it was the stupid old man that kicked her out of the room. "Hallo."

Demi scrunched her face up at the sound of 'your father'. That man was not related to her. Even Violet said so. "He's not my daddy. I don't know who my daddy is. Mommy says that she's gonnd help me find him when I'm a tall person." She rubbed her nose, stupid thing was itching from playing with that flower. She sneezed and casually wiped her hands on her shirt... and his hair. "Grey is with Scarlet. They said I had to leave because they had big people stuff to do that I couldn't see. And Mommy is in our room."

She hugged his head as she usually did, nodding. "Yes. But, I can't without my mom. She likes eating at the same time." Yes. This made sure that they got hungry at the same time, and there was no fussing over who ate when.

Demi shrugged, "She is hiding from them, you know. Cuz she has to wear those clothes that she doesn't like. Grey says stuff and pokes her I think." Ah, Demi. Still a child. She didn't realize what she said sounded worse than what she meant, although the touching was still innapropriate either way. "Uhhhhhm. We are supposed to go somewhere so she can paint. I don't think she's coming yet."

She drummed on his head at looked at his twin, "Why does he look like you? He doesn't act like you." In all honesty, she liked the Replicate alittle bit better because he was more fun. But this one carried her all the time, and that was nice too. "Is he your twin?"

Demi quirked her eyebrow, much like Violet would. "But you can't have two people in the same place at one time can you?" She wanted another Demi! Then she could play Knights and Princesses with herself all day. And when one of her was sleepnig, the other could play, and then she'd always have play time. She didn't understand half of what he said, so she stated the obvious. "I want one."

She continued drumming on his head, noticing the other children, oh so far down below her. She was a lucky little person, she could be tall whenever she wanted because of her Monkey friend. She stared down at thim at her question. "Uhhh..." Violet has said some very bad words when she talked about them. And Demi couldn't say bad words. "She says. That. Sometimes she has to. So that people don't get mad. I think." Now she was hungry... and Violet wasn't coming down. She wanted to eat. "You should ask her. While we eat."

Demi looked rather longingly at the family she saw. Okay... maybe the castle Monkey was fun. But so was having dinner together. Because then you had a lot of people to share your food with. And, laugh with. Instead of just one Mom, a quit brother, a gramma who was always telling you about your manners, and a mean aunt and uncle who were always being gross about things. She would've liked that other family better. She already had a mom. And a brother. Aaaand.... Monkey. Monkey fit too. He was her best friend, and they counted, right? "We can go get her. Ands then we can eat, right?"

She looked down in the direction from where the poking came, staring down at Camameal. She looked.... familiar. "Who are you?" She asked, wanting to see if it was anyone she actually knew.

Demi giggled, "I know you." Indeed she did, she also remembered her cousins lash brother that she used to play with. And she remembered the time Violet got mad at Cammy and they had to stop playing. That was the last time she saw them, she thought. "Mommy's not being social right now. Me and Monkey are going to go eat with her." She stated matter of factly, waving at her as she most definitely cliked her heels agains Sun's shoulders to make him 'giddy up' as the cowboys did to their horses.

They'd be down again, eventually. And she might just tell Violet she was there.

Demi stared back at her, she was going to say she'd just tell her, and then she saw Lucien. "Hey Monkey! That's my other brother. He's the fun one." She noted, as Dan wasn't very fun these days. Violet said she had to teach him to be a normal chlid again, if Grey would let him stay. "Maybe we can all eat together. If mommy wants too." The girl really just wanted to get her grub on already, all this talking was so slow. But maybe that family dinner wasn't so far off now.

She was quite happy once they'd gotten to the stairwell, waving at her aunt and cousin, oh how her wishes worked out.

Demi had little time to see what all the laughing was about, thanks to her ears being covered. She stared at their door and waited for it to open, thinknig maybe Violet had fallen asleep in her time doing all those...er... writials was it? She stared down at Monkey, and then up at the door again.

She leaned forward to knock herself, noting the burnt door handle, giggling at the thought of how that got there. "Mommy! Mom! Are you dead?!" Yes, silence equaled death, in Demi's mind. Only reasons he wouldn't open the door for her two favoritest people.

With a clumsy skip through the door, Demi walked into Gambit’s, her bare feet slapping against the flooring as she walked through the room, her older brother milling slowly behind her. Beside him, Josaphine was walking and texting simultaneously. The trio made their way to a booth in the back of the bar, and Demi stopped short, letting out a small squeal of excitement and waving at the Tall Russian Man she’d met the night before, “Hallo!”

Demi smiled and reached to her fullest ability, just narrowly making contact with his hand, “I am good, how are you?” She asked, obviously mimicking his accent, whether it was intentional or not, a five year old couldn’t really help such things. She consequently grabbed his hand, or what she could reach of it, and attempted to pull him in the direction of Josaphineand Darren, “Why are you so heavy?”

Josaphine looked up from her phone and let her eyes fall on Demi again, “Oh, Demi. Come back over here,” She said, turning her eyes to Vadim, “Sorry, she really likes talking to people.”

Demi giggled at the boisterous sound of his voice, “Too much cake for Vadim.” She repeated, walking her way over to the table. She looked at Darren nudging him in his side, “Danny, move over. Vadim needs a place to sit.”

Josaphine snickered at the two of them, “Yeah, she really loves being friendly. Sometimes others aren’t too fond of it though.” Everyone always argued with the children being in the bar, but it wasn’t like it didn’t serve food too; in Josa’s opinion, those people could just shove their ideas, but she wouldn’t say that out loud. She shook Vadim’s hand, nodding at him, “I’m Josaphine, Josaphine Carter. I babysit these two when Violet’s at work.”

Darren glared at Josaphine, “You don’t babysit, you just watch us, I’m not a baby.” He said firmly, momentarily letting his eyes shift over to Vadim, “Does my mother know you?”

Josaphine nodded with a laugh, “She’s like seventy-two pounds of pure sugar, this one.” She directed her attention back down to her phone, glancing up at the trio every few moments just to ensure nothing was going awry.

Demi climbed up into Vadim’s lap, as if she had done it a million times before, she took her slinky from the table and held it up to him, “Fixed it, see?” She gave it a shake, letting it fall back to the table, though she held the other end in her hand still.

Darren looked up at Vadim, he reminded him for a moment, of Grey, his father. And he glared once again, “Ne trogaĭte menya, I do not like being touched.” He said in a monotonous voice, he turned back to the table, “My mother speaks to too many men.”

Josaphine shot a look at Darren, “Hey, don’t talk about your mom like that. At least she was faithful to your father, unlike he was to her.” She said pointedly, “And she doesn’t speak to many men, they usually speak to her, that’s a difference.” Josaphine honestly didn’t like Darren, he was too much like his father, and she would’ve rathered he stuck his ass back with his family; but Violet wanted something better for him, and she was convinced she could make him less harsh, Josaphine didn’t see that happening, though.

“There is little reason for me to speak to females, and the only ones I put up with are my family, and her,” He stated, glaring at Josaphine, who stuck her tongue out at him in a childish manner. “My mother lets her live with us, I do not understand why.”

Demi ignored the conversation about Violet, shuffling the slinky’s weight from her hand to Vadim’s, and back again, it was a wonderful game. She watched the rainbow of colors shift back and forth in sheer amusement, “Do you like milkshakes, Vadim? I like milkshakes, Vadim.” She enjoyed saying his name, although her pronunciation was hindered by her lisp, it was quite a curious word to her.

Josaphine simply glared at Darren, shifting her gaze back to Vadim, her eyes lessening from her obviously displeased expression, “At the moment she’s an interior designer, I guess. She paints the inside of peoples houses, decorates, all that jazz.” She looked back at Darren, “And on top of that, she spends all of her free time with these two.”

Darren grumbled under his breath, “As if that counts for anything.” He scooted away from Vadim, propping his head in his hands, resting his elbows on the table. He wanted to go home.

Demi smile, dropping the slinky into Vadim’s hand, “We should get milkshakes! I like milkshakes! Doesn’t everyone like milkshakes, Vadim?” She asked, hopping from his lap and weaving her way to the bar, “Vadim likes milkshakes, everyone likes milkshakes~”

Josaphine nodded as the two walked away, keeping her eye on them, “Mhm.”

Demi laughed as Vadim lifted her onto the barstool, “Milkshakes, milkshakes. I like milkshakes.” She kicked her feet gleefully, holding herself steady with her hands against the counter, “Why is your voice so funny, Vadim?” She asked, her own voice again adopting his Russian accent, “My mom talks kinda funny like you.”

Demi just glanced up at him and giggled, running her hand back over her hair to flatten it out again, her mother didn’t like her hair being messy. “Momma says that she found me in the woods, over there,” She said, pointing towards the woods in Wing City, “She’s from, Stonee, estonee, estonee
” She couldn’t for the life of her say that word, Estonia.

She grabbed her milkshake happily, nodding at him, “I’m not a baby,” She jeered playfully, grinning at him and taking a large ulp of her drink, ignoring the straw that came with it.

Josaphine perked up at the sound of the gunshot, glaring at the parties involved, idiots. It was a building, for chrissake, bullets belonged outside. There were kids in the place, and ladies, for chrissake. She smiled appreciatively at Vadim’s awareness of the environment, “Happy New Year, or something!”

Demi trotted along happily, standing at the edge of the table and looking up at Vadim, a milkshake mustache across her top lip, she couldn’t climb onto the seat with her milkshake in hand. She rubbed her ear with one hand, almost dropping her drink, “Why’s it so loud
