Dextra and Herold had finished their mission to retrieve The Necklace of Fiedre, a necklace said to hold power within each of it's rubies. One of the many clans in the south had made their way to a small village a long ways from here, where it was hidden for 300 years. The village had sent out an urgent call for the Chinese Zodiac Clan. Dextra and Herold took the job.

Now they were on their way back to the clan, necklace safe in tow. It wasn't like them to walk, but on the way to the bar where they were told one of the southern clan member was going to go to sell the necklace, they saw the Silver Palace. Dextra really wanted to check it out before they left for home, despite Herold's stern no's and it would get them in trouble. Now, by the entrance were a few people she hadn't seen before.

Herold walked behind her, he always did, and sternly warned, "We need to get this necklace back to Leader Jaw-long." His hand ruffled the back of his head, "You know how he gets when we get off cou-." It was no use though, she had already made her way to the entrance and peeked around them.

"What's going on over here? Need any help?" Dextra asked with a smile.

When she stepped into the opening, she felt a rush of energy, blinking rapidly she felt... no pain reqally, just something holding her like in a gentle embrace. Finally she had wings! Yay wings, wait... Oh good they werent too large or cumbersom, but they were also black as her own feathers too!

The Wen spoke, she felt it more than heard it. A soft gentle feeling to be sure as it formed around her body to match what she was envisioning. her hematite eyes she felt briefly blinded before she could see anew, and somehow in brighter clearity. She never really wore silver, but she felt pinpricks on her shoulders, her feathers almost always hurt when she was younger after getting Lights blessing years before. QWhicxh allowed her to use her feathers like throwing knives and daggers. But they always veruy quickly regrew upon her shoulders or hips when she used them, never remaining in her fallen enemies bodies for more than scant seconds.

So, with that, with the coloration of the Wen in question it couldnt exactly go to black so it instead kept her feswthers on the shoulders, with long very graceful wings upon her back, silver feathers quicjkly formed upon her shoulders and like a belt. She felt taller too, she turned to Zhou, almost as if asking how she looked when she heard the two newcomers arrive.

"Oh hello!" Sazhori waved, almost wondering briefly who Dezxtra was before remembering briefly, though not clearly enouh as she may have been drunk but then remembering the face, had she met the woman before. "Do I know you from somewhere ? You look oddly familar" Sazhori never forgot a face. But somehow she forgot Dextra's name

Of course with the feathers on her shoulders, and the wings on her back thanks to the Wen molding with her, she felt oddly at peace, everything seemed.... well, correct in her body at that point, she didnt feel old, but she didnt feel any younger either. At that point the Wen felt more like a suit of armor.

Normally Sazhori wore a thin almost latex like catsuit without shoulders because of her feathers, but it was leather, thin like latex, yet strong and very beautiful combined with her feather skirt of a sort made her appear almost as if a model or even better. A beautiful young lady to be sure after Light blessed her. And now with the Wen, it made her even prettier.

Zhou looked on with his lantern eyes as the Wen compressed inward according to the design of a new modus. Further than many had gone before and some for wise reasons. The compression of a Wen to such densities could safely conduct immense power though perhaps a poor container of energy. Even what seemed flesh would be difficult for even Zhou to pierce with his claws. It was an idea made real a perfect symmetry from what the soul demanded for a perfect body. Even the flesh of the modus body though soft, smooth, and tactile the skin may feel was no less a network of ferroplasm and psimass than the armor-looking flesh around it. The core contained the dematerialized fleshy parts and not an eyeball of flesh remained as long as Sazhori was safely ensconced inside the sarcophagus. A tingling awareness spread up the wings as the Wen's quiet consciousness affixed the limb to her physical mind as one that felt and moved as one quite real.

The Wen moved along her memories like a shadow just out of eyesight. Certainly but a mere shadow of the new modus now and passive servant the Wen's internal aspect rifled through memories looking for the Dextra's face and an attached name like a dog rooting in the cupboard for treats.

Zhou relaxed the shell of its body the metal dragon-souled Zhou the size of a two story house slowly lost his metallic lustre. The holes shrank as did his height now well pleased by the first Humankind taken a Wen in many years.

His voice was no less choral as the metal dragon had a quiet dreamy air to his whistling, ♫Her skin now Wen made humankind again. How much of Aetherkind shall she spill? Does she know to gird her strength to control a weapon formed from its rage? Time will tell if the power enable or consume.♫

The eyes now were in a smooth crinkling metal housing the size of a large truck though the saddle once clamped to his back now remained a massive backpack. It didn't do to threaten new humankind he met. It simply wasn't polite. The Zhou did stare at Dextra and Herold as the purple lantern-eyes blinked out for a moment to refresh themselves at that distance.

Zhou just made a fluted perking note as Zhou rose to clomp his way over, ♫*Hhhreen* New humankind come to see a Zhou of Myrkul's Vein at their destination's door. One of familiar type banished from valuable things, now. Still a dragon can't help but retain a certain fascination.♫

Zhou made his best friendly grin while unabashedly craning his long neck to look them over for the shiny bit of 'necklace'. Zhou had a very keen senses the air swirled in and out of his body. It was easy to tell close up to a keen arcane eye elemental powers of multiple types burned within the muscular brushed-steel grey chest. Just beyond some veil of planar network.

Dextra waved at everyone that was around. Her eyes traveled the red haired girl's outfit before looking back at her and then the two others. "Hi Hi! I am Dextra and this, " she waved a hand at, "is Herold." Herold gave a small wave and looked the dragon up and down a little uncomfortably.

"Hey" He said uncomfortably, adjusting his jacket so that the sack with the necklace would be hidden better. They already had a dragon in their clan and she was bigger than this one, but he wasn't stupid either. Even one as small as this could be just as deadly as a big one. He have a small and forced smirk. "Sorry for the intrusion. She was obsessed by this place when we passed and having people near it just go her excited."

Dextra waved a dismissive hand, "He may be right. As for seeing me, I have no clue! This is the first time I have seen you three. We were just at the bar some ways down over there." She said, motioning towards the road behind her.

For all Sazhori knew Dextra was right, They hadnt really met persei, at least trading names. But briefly she recalled only seeing Dextra in a fleeting moment when in flight.

Oh the idea of flying without crashing into shit was suddenly on her mind as she felt the wings upon her back folding into a neat yet strong folded almost like dragon wings, black feathers as long as a mans arm branched from the wings so perfectly the same color black as her own black feathers.

All of a sudden she didnt want to fly, just yet at least, she felt slightly calustiphobic and wanted to feel the air on her own skin anew. Yet what happened she never esxpected. One second she saw stars, then she saw Zhou's stomach as she laid on the crystal pavement.

Hematite eyes blinked. That was quick. She grunted then as the pain of slamming into the crystal paving stones was suddenly felt in her back. Her bones quickly knit and she got to her feet a few breaths later "What a rush." She said getting to her feet and leaning a bit on the Wen, which for the most part retained its shape she'd made for it. Amazingly she had yet to notice the glittering hematite gems seemingly now woven into her bodysuit. Her feathers on her shoulders and hips about her waist also appeared clean too.

She turned to Dextra, and also Harold when introduced "A pleasure to meet you formally now. I am Sazhori, Raven Bodyguard in the Eagle Forces. I saw you briefly, but until now I had no idea who you were until you introduced yourself" Sazhori's hematite eyes glittered brightly with life, it looked as if she had a inner energy that could outlast even a dragon.

Maybe.

Zhou blinked as the Wen moved to an extreme density. He wondered if the small Humankind might damage herself. She didn't seem to understand the nature of the Wen, nor it her, but that came with time. The modus would slowly redesign as the Humankind Sazhori's and the Wen's gained mutual understanding.

As quickly as she put it it on and gained an set of attractive wings structured much like ones of his own dragonkind but far softer. The energy she wielded seemed like it might be balanced but another but quiet strong. The muscle-like flexible metal below Zhou tensed as the Wen ejected the humankind with a pulse of transmutative magic. Zhou felt the sudden further compaction preparing to turn around and look at her when lantern eyes flared brightly at a striking sensation. His body much smaller wasn't far off the ground. What would be sharp feathers to creatures with less sturdy skin skidded past his nether regions then Sazhori popped out underneath then stood up in front of him.

Clad in things any dragon could stand collecting no less. The ferroplasm flesh tensed along his jaws with teeth bared sporting jacob's ladders running between them. He advanced with forearms tensed one claw in line with the other. While only a meter and a half or so at the shoulder at present the soft flesh-like qualities of his mutable body threw off a great deal of prickly static. His head near her shoulder one could likely feel the raised hairs. Anyone familiar with dragons could tell that metal grin framed with pulsing lantern eyes that it wasn't entirely avarice on Zhou's mind

The dragon's voice had the tonal sounds of a harp from the arcs passing between his teeth, ♫She is full of feathery things, certainly. Zhou is full of many things that once were and still are. Sazhori is capable of many things with her new Wen, should she ask.♫

♫If they require transport the Zhou is capable of allowing them to ride.♫, He eyed at the other two with an even glow and a faintly scaled brow.

Zhou looked back at Sazhori with that wavering lantern, ♫She may choose a side, if it suits.♫

Dextra did a courtesy bow to Sazhori as she introduced herself. She must have been caught in something if she missed seeing the raven girl. Either way she shrugged it off, "Nice to meet you too! Sorry I didn't see you before, I tend to have a wondering mind." Her smile was from ear to ear. She was excited to meet new people and machinery.

Harold looked at Zhou up and down, he didn't know how he felt about the big dragon before him. They had their own dragon at home and he never liked getting on her bad side. He had seen her when she was angry and the results were never pretty. "We would be honored to hitch a ride with you." She said as he placed his arm across his stomach and bowed. Dextra scrambled to be in the same postion.

"Yes we would be very honored. Our leader tends to lean on the worry side when we take too long." She said cheerily as her had hide her face. She rocked on her feet while bowed before straightening up with Harold. Her smile innocent like.

Sazhori smiled, she already liked this monkey, Then again she coul;d be wrong on that front, But then again, to the Raven. All men were monkeys.... somehow. The Wen she had briefly tried on seemed molded to her, her armor, normally skintight leather of deep black, glittered seemingly with gemstones fo strange varity, things she hadn ever seen before. Her shoulder feathers seemed to absorb all manner of light to the point wherein the feathers were endless black. Like a blackhole.

She sifghed and stepped into view before the three could take off. raising a hand the Raven spoke. "Ah, just a moment, perhaps a bit of food or drink. Mythic realm knows even A Prismatic Dragon must eat as well" What did a Prismatic dragon like Zhou eat anyhow ?

Of course there was always food ready on the table for anyone to wander by an snag a morsel or six. Light knew how to feed even Mortals that rarely visited. "I can even send a messdenger owl to yourl eaders if you like, have them not worry" As she spoke, a frost colored owl floated into view and landed upon the nearby rail and cooed looking at the four.

Zhou walked on all fours heavily thumping against stone a rather dense metal and mote creature when folded into this small a volume. The jagged end of his tail wrapped around his haunches sat just beside the door. On four legs he was slightly larger than man sized but sat on his haunches reached a lantern-eyed metal head well toward the ceiling. He eyed the table and a faint distortion from inside his maw with a shepard tone pitched permanently upward.

Small zots of purple energy appear on the table periodically blinking away matter as Zhou consumes silverware, empty plates, and the occasional appetizer by way of translocation to stomach rather than storage.

The owl didn't escape his notice and the matte-metal lantern eyes blinked momentarily at it though Zhou decided against attempting to translocate and consume something that might be a pet.

The soft ever-inclining noise stopped as that concordant translocation well above a sharp metal tongue pulsing edges dissipate the energy. The noise was instead replaced with a bit more harsh metal grinding noise from its midsection. Zhou's musical voice returned to comment, ♫A prismatic dragon's food is different than her own she thinks, certainly it appears so. Less enamored with food than like metal that now composes. Perhaps she finds the dragon still has a taste for live things but metal has far less use for the meat of prey than its taste and its iron.♫

Zhou looked at the owl making a toothy purple sparking smile realizing the morsel must be the messenger. He raised an eyebrow making a fist with one claw tensing the false metal musculature of his arm.

Herold look at Dextra, he really didn't think it was a good idea, but she was smiling and beaming. "If I could send word to my leader, than yes we can stay for a bit. Not too long though, we really shouldn't detour anymore than we already have." He said politely, but sternly towards Dextra who was already hopping with excitement.

Dextra patted his arm, "See, I told you you knew how to have some fun. It was only a matter of time, plus we can send word to leader Jaw." She could see his jaw tightening. She knew she had to be aware of her surroundings and not make such a hasty judgement. Herold gave a small grin and shook his head.

"Is there a pen and paper I could use?" He asked.

Sazhori smiled, "No need" She said simply, in terms of pen and paper. Turning to the Messenger Owl as it hooted towards her she said simply "Niǎo. Gěi lǐngxiù fā duǎn xìn; tāmen de liǎng míng xuéshēng shì yīng shǒuwèi de kèrén. Shūmiàn huífù bù xūyào, xūyào shēngyīn xiǎngyìng. Zǒu*" The bird nodded and with a flap of its wings flew away in a puff of frost and silver dust.

Sazhori held up a hand, "Relax OK ? You are safe here. Come, this way." She led the three to the dining hall. surprised briefly as Zhou began to 'eat' she smiled, the plates unused a few could also use, but the tables present in the vast dining hall were loaded with all sorts of food, fox meat, wolf meat, horse meat, moose, elk, deer, pork, lamb, goat, it was loaded, even all sorts of cheeses and wines filled the tables present

With a flick of her wrist a feather was in her hand, spiking a cheese cube of a sort Sazhori started eating. She motinoed to the table for Dextra and Herold "Help yourselves"

*Bird. Send word to the Leader Jaw; two of their students are guests of the eagle guard. Written response not necessary, vocal response required. Go

Zhou snuffed a hard note at the thought of being late for anything, ♫Places are few indeed that cannot be shortly reached flying faster than sound travels if the bodies of meat and bone could only take such stress. Those things they see of flesh and blood less hardy than the possessions of Myrkul's Vein toughened to moving about planes of infinite gluttony. Still, uses are many for slow conduct when fires cook poorly battered by such winds.♫

The dragon turned back to Herold, ♫Perhaps the elements here surrounding him are strange to others. But they with skill with others must have an inkling to use them. Whether he needs them still or not it seems likely they should be provided."

Zhou got up off its haunches false muscles tensing with former memory of lifting his once own flesh. The matte tail swished softly though Zhou was careful that gleaming sharp blades at its terminus did not catch anything. Fairly loud if short tweet saw a deer roast vanish in a blue flare. The void translocation wasn't particularly quiet to the sensitive but it wasn't discordant. One could certainly estimate Zhou's proper size with the register of a well created to draw matter into its gullet. Just by the lack of strain in the swirl of rushing dark tones Zhou fully expanded was of a size that could pull in the unwary.

The whine returned as a firefly of blue light shot out of Zhou's pursed maw to impact on the floor a distance from Herold then quickly trace a foot wide orbit on the spot. As Zhou's maw opens with rows of luminous glow a connection to an elemental plane opens with a splatter of diaphanous ivy from inside. The geyser of vellum, paper, and herbs explodes from that locus point.

Zhou just laughs in rhythmic rumbling bass drumbeats at the display as the ivy boils away and the geyser ceases.

The two watched the bird fly off. Both were amazed at what they saw, but Dextra was the one to actually express anything when she laughed. "That was pretty freaking cool." Herold nodded in response. That was a pretty neat trick, maybe they could get one for the clan. They turned and followed into where the food was. It looked too good to be true. Dextra grabbed a plate and loaded it with all kind of meats.

"Thanks!" She said before she stuffed the food into her mouth.

Before Herold could say anything the dragon started to talk to her. He could never really understand what the beast was saying, but he nodded to make it think he understood. Turning back to towards the food he grabbed a plate and loaded it lightly. "Thank you, again. This means a lot. So tell us, what... uhm... what are you, exactly?" He said before eating.

Sazhori smiled at the reaction of the Mortals, one was excited the other clamer. Then there was the massive Chormatic dragon. She nodded in welcome towards Dextra at the thanks of food. But she was briefly unsure of how to reply to Herold's question. Nobody had dared asked her that question before. So it wasnt exactly something easy to answer right off the bat.

And yet.

"I am a member of the Eagle Guard, A Raven. Currently bodyguard to one who lives here" She said at long last. Well that explained only so much. Then seeing the confusion she said simply "I'm not exactly a human. These feathers are part of me" She motioned to her shoulders, black feathers so black it was as if they were absorbing light and reflecting none were seen, the same feathers were on her hips like a belt, and on her arms over her wrists. her feet then were clearly seen to have that of a Ravens feet until feathers shifted them to more normal human looking feet of black leather wearing sandles edged in silver.

"Most other Eagles in the Eagle Empire can shift to appear fully human, I cant. I'm one of the rare few that can only shift so far" She explained as they ate. With the flick of a wrist however she ewasily removed one of the ink black feathers from her left shoulder. There wasnt any blood on the feather... yet, but what the two could see, even Zhou could see it. Was that it was sharp. Like a dagger.

A flick of the fingers and it faded into mist, quickly forming out of the mist on her shoulder were she had plucked it from. Sazhori smiled then. "How is the food ?" She askled the three, including Zhou, whom she saw as a rather unique kind of dragon.

Zhou gingerly reaches for another roast instead to close his lantern eyes and sniff them. His nose was distant in his senses finding everything still too bland and his sense of taste little better. Each communicated information but little emotive substance. A small rumble of distaste came from a downturned lip. Lantern eyes open their flame as Zhou ate the roast whole his gullet reducing it shortly to a grinding noise. An angular tongue emerged to lick his metal fingers listening to the humans talk.

Then little bird asked if the food satisfies. He considered the point, namely the limitations of his form, with a clenched fist that shimmered old tan scales for a moment. The lantern eyes rose with a conciliatory smile, ♫When the dragon she sees had its true name it too could push its body as it willed more than just a glimpse of the venerable scale that once was. The color of a dying body growing too old to stand still had a name and the glorious taste of meat. He seems to miss both but with a smile that does not impugn your good food. His high price of the simple pleasures paid to a leviathan of a death plane for eternal nonlife that does not take his good nature.♫

Lantern eyes twinkled, ♫They hear that the old young dragons do ramble. His skin returns for a but a moment but in that the eternal machine no longer restrains him here. In time, he will regain his self and all that was lost. Then he can properly appreciate fine things here that interest him.♫

Dextra and Herold listened to the two while they ate. They were magnificent beings and they had the opportunity to dine with them. Dextra didn't eat much, same as Harold, and once finished the set their forks and napkins in the same way. Fork on the left side of the plate and the napkin folded nicely in the middle. It was something they were taught in their academy and it just stuck with them.

"The food was good, thank you." Herold said, Dextra nodding.

"Thank you." She said happily.

"We come from the Chinese Zodiac Clan. Each clan member represents a zodiac. We don't really do shapeshifting, we have skills that have qualified us and very hard training. I am representing the Ox and she is representing the Monkey." He spoke with confidence and like a leader, though he wasn't an actual leader, unless you counted the small group he had, which only consisted of them two.

Sazhori smiled, tempted then and there at mention of Dextra representing the Monkey of the Chinese Animal Zodiac to do something that might end up as an insult than a joke so she decided to move her mind to something else, speaking a fish right off the platter she spoke. "Well, Most Mortals cant shift form, unless you're one of the three races directly, Tigris, or Big Cats in your langauge, Tigers, Lions and so on. The other race is Eagle, which I'm part of, my breed of bird type is Ravens, we have Doves, they're mostly healers though. Then there's the Vultures, Hawks, Sparrows, Parrots, the Eagles of various colors. The Prince and Princess of the Eagle Empire are both Silver Eagles, really pretty in their natural forms."

With that she shifted, feathers of black along with a exp, losion of black smoke enveloped her body, and seconds later a beaytiful black Raven stood in the room. Quite beautiful, the only thing recognisible of her were the hematite eyes still glittering as she cawed brightly before once more the plume of black smoke and bust of feathers and she was back on her feet, mostly human as some feathers remained on her arms, her hips, and her shoulders.

But at least Sazhori was in fact showing off... mostly. her wings then appeared, thanks to the Wen that Zhou had given her her wings on her back of ink black feathers if not darker made her even prettier if not downright dropdead gorgeous to begin with. They also looked pretty strong too. However she continued speaking "Now, the most trusted are the Doves and Eagles themselves, whereas the parrots.... well... trust them as far as you can throw them, they're subtle planners, but they get stuff done good enough as spies. Sparrows are best for messengers, just like the Owls... though getting a Messenger owl isnt easy. Most Owls are sages or Historians...." She said.

She speared another chunk of cheese and dug in. It was then both Herold and dextra saw the sharp teeth that Sazhori had, just like her toenails.... or were those talons ? She motioned for them to have some more. The ammoun they ate when it was a constant flow of food at all hours didnt seem like much... if any.

Zhou put a claw to its jaw while reaching out to the almanac for a moment. The first thing to come to its mind from Myrkul was a living map of surroundings. A creature of Myrkul was at someplace named to that group. Peering closer it looked to identify the creature, A ductu? Sanctus. That one in particular went far afield into dangerous places. Allowed by Myrkul to destroy humankind when not given leave by Myrkul or Jinhai but to only when called to slaughter for mankind by her chosen name. Appropriate, he mused, that Sanctus chose never to speak it.

He looked down at the two warriors of the Zodiac clan, ♫The dragon can see this place Zodiac Clan in the Almanac of all places. In that living memory breathes a Ductu belonging to Myrkul's Vein. Seen there by that eye is a polite treatment to outsiders. The Ductu is fond of the ones seen there.♫

The sharp teeth and grinding tongue appeared with a smirk as he looked at the raven that had piqued his interest then two the other two with more of a neutral expression, ♫That all here should be as much powerful as beautiful the dragon here should smile more often.♫

Herold was the most impress with how Sazhori transformed. It was beautiful. He was so entranced with what was happening that he didn't see Dextra get up and take a closer look at her feathers. He was about to tell her to not be rude and come sit down when Dextra opened her mouth.

"Who's a pretty bird?" She asked with a big and cheesy smile. Herold groaned and facepalmed. He had hoped she didn't offended their host. He was going to have to scold her on how to act properly in public... again.

"Dextra get the hell over here. I am so sorry. She still isn't very trained in how to properly act right in public." He said and watched as Dextra pouted but walked over and took her seat. She mumbled an apology, but then her attention had shifted to the dragon on the room.

Dextra nor Herold knew what the hell the dragon was talking about. They both blinked before Herold decided to speak. "I am sorry... but it is really hard to understand you... are you looking over our home right now?" He asked.

Sazhori couldnt help but smile at Dextra's question, she didnt even blush, shed gotten it a few times and rather than be mad, she was actually amused by it. She never really expected it, the first few times she was shy of it and blushed, but afterwards and the older she got, the more it was said to her. And it amused her. And she wasnt a Parrot either. But when Herold scolded his friend Sazhori snickered and waved a hand as if no offense was taken whatsoever. "I'm not a Parrot myself, but I do pride my self on being pretty. So you're correct in asking. Its alright" her smuile was genuine. Dextras antics amused her greatly.

It was then their attention shifted to Zhou. At Heroolds question she hoped to get the answer right, as much as possible without offending Zhou as it was true at times, but, she could understand the Chromatic dragon quite well herself "I think so, he seems curious of your home. Also of here. as he's yet to meet the All-Mother. I was supposed to report to my commanding officer, Diamond. But I met up with you three instead... ah.... Look who returns"

As she spoke the Messenger Owl flew back into view and chirped, apparently no message was given execept one in written form as Sazhori went to the bird and removed from its right foot a rolled note. Something she couldnt read. that was her major problem, all her orders were told to her, never in written form. She was actually shy to say it but she held the letter out to Dextra. "I cannot read it, I think it is for you" Well, that was different only certain writing styles she could read and was used to growing up, Mostly Eastern langauges and writing systems, along with a few Mortal writing system of english.

Her wings seemed to droop slightly as she blushed as she spoke to dextra. Well, there was always a first
