Diel

When a Takan is 'Recycled', their mind is ripped to shreds. So what happens when those threads are left inside a broken Takan's head?

Description

Image
General Description
Diel is your regular Takan; tall, somewhat broad-chested, but otherwise with that vaguely 'puppyish' look about him. His hair is a dark brown and is somewhat unruly.

Height
Diel stands at six feet and five inches tall, the average height for a Takan of his age.

Weight
Diel is roughly 209lbs. Here he falls in to the higher than average category, although this added weight in a supposedly 'perfectly cloned' race is due to muscle, not fat.

Personality

Takans are usually docile, submissive and rather meek until their emotions flare. As per usual, Takans are highly susceptible to large flares of emotions. Depending on proximity to, the strength of and the particular nature of a flare in emotions, Takans may respond with anything from a chuckle or laugh for weaker emotions to crying or fainting for the stronger ones.

Diel, as a singular Takan, is quiet. He does not usually like to be disturbed, making local libraries a safe-haven for the male. Recently, however, an odd change has come over him that is rumoured to have something to do with a book entitled 'Gods of the Present'.

As a 'loner', Diel only socialises on occasion. If, however, you find him drunk or 'hyper-active' (male Takans are especially reactive to chocolate), he can be extremely chatty and finds himself disrespecting the 'personal space' rule.

History

Diel was originally sent to Terra to harvest DNA from those who exhibited some decent traits that could be extracted - that idea went out the window when he met Migel.

Since that point, Diel's stalked people, argued with them and consequently been guilted back to his home planet. Unfortunately, it was without what he had been sent for, and the Takan was stripped of all rights, mentally destroyed, physically vandalised and returned to Terra to rot and die.

That didn't quite go to plan either. Now, Diel is broken, perpetually confused and childlike in many ways.

So begins...

Diel totally lied. He is totally stalking Migel at the moment. Staring. Watching. Following. Creepy.

Diel wonders if it is remotely possible to steal hair without the owner of that hair noticing. He doesn't think so. Still, he wandered into the bar 'casually' - it was really hard to look casual when you were a tall, stare-inducing Takan like is.

Diel half-smiled as Mi looked his way, but the expression hollowed when the other bloke just seemed to pass over him. No matter, Mi was... well, Mi, so he couldn't really be expected to remember a mortal such as a lowly Takan! "Hello there," he greeted Migel politely, softly, a hand scratching at his vividly red head.

"Dion. I mean, Diel. Still getting used to that," he murmured, shaking his head. "Anyhow... Could I have some of your hair? I'm a Takan," Diel added, as if this explained all.

"My name is Diel," he replied, speaking slowly, halting English that was partially inhibited by his odd accent. "May I have some of your hair. I am from the planet Taka; we recycle DNA. I require some of yours, please, sir-deity."

Diel looked down at Migel, wondering if perhaps he had the wrong Dygon. "Hair. From your head. Please."

"Yes, sir. May I have some of your hair please? The semen procured from that escapade was ineffective in our recycling procedure."

Diel nodded, just the once. "We did, yes, but the DNA was insufficient. May I have some of your hair?"

Here is where Diel, previously 'Dion', cracked a smile. "Because you're the Sex God Dygon, are you not?"

Diel frowned slightly. "Is that a no, sir? Have I located the wrong person? I am under the believe that you are Migel."

Diel shook his head. "No... Sir, no. After several hour-long meetings with the Head of Human Resources in our community, he decided that having an actual god's DNA would benefit our society. We ask for your co-operation."

Diel nodded. "We discovered that, sir, which is why I require your co-operation and some of your hair, please. Or a blood sample, anything of the sort. And sir, there is a reason we create clones before we actually break them down for recycling; we get to understand your faults before factoring them out during the recycling process."

Diel 's brows furrowed somewhat. "But - sir, it's really not a matter of cloning... the good traits are separated to prevent anything at all like you turning out! Sir, please..."

Diel shrugged his shoulders. "Something like that, sir. If it is a matter of price, we truly understand - a god cannot give away his virtues for free, I would assume, but really, sir, we're prepared to pay any price."
