a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by xTheSmokex

Description

Name: Dorian Stoneman

Call-sign: Dorian-892, Raven

Species: Human (SPARTAN program enhanced)

Ethnicity: American

Age: 25 Years Old

Height: 6'4"

Weight and Body Type: 200 lbs. out of armor and half a ton (1k lbs.) in armor. Stoneman has an athletic build.

Skin color: Not exactly white, but pale skin due to his being in armor the majority of the time.

Hair color: Dark brown.

Eye color: Bright blue.

Hair Style: Short-cropped and brushed to the side, when not wearing his helmet.

Facial Hair: Clean-shaven.

Tattoos/Markings: A few scars scattered across his body and a Spartan-III insignia tattoo on his left forearm.

Facial Features: He's a fairly handsome man with high cheekbones and a nice smile. There are no noticeable marks on his face though, no scars or beauty marks, making him fairly ordinary-looking.

Skills/Abilities: Dorian is a genetically modified and augmented Spartan-III, making him the perfect super-soldier. He is faster, stronger, and has much more mental fortitude than an average human. Apart from the science, he is a natural, and official, arms expert. He loves guns and can take apart most, if not all, human and alien weaponry and piece it back together in perfect condition for firing. He's a fan of learning how to use new and improved weapon systems as well and is an exceptional strategical planner.

{Clothing}

Nine times out of ten, the Spartan is wearing his modified urban-camo MJOLNIR armor. It features a thin energy shield, heads-up-display, and various links to hook weapons and ammunition onto. It also increases his speed and strength a considerable amount even though his natural abilities are already superb. The armor allows him to be in outer space without harm and regulates his body-heat with an advanced layer of gel, which also protects his body from heavy impacts, such as explosions or drops.

If he isn't wearing his MJOLNIR, then he is usually in his dress uniform. A black suit with various ribbons and patches as well as a gold rope falling down his left shoulder.

Personality
Stoneman can be described as a man who loves his job. Even though some of the elements of war are destined to bring a man down, he can't imagine doing anything else with his life. He is eager to go on missions and fight in a battle, though will not carelessly run into danger. He is a thrill-seeker, and loves to use the tools of his trade. Out of the field, he likes to talk to women, wanting to start a family someday. However, he is not exactly opposed to the occasional lustful encounter. He's not exactly a stickler for the law, but he does hold a sense of duty and respect to both his higher ups and those under him. The Spartan is always ready to help out for a good cause, and will do his best to impede trouble.

Equipment
Aside from his MJOLNIR armor, he is usually carrying some form of battle rifle or DMR, a standard M9 pistol, a few clips of ammunition, and possibly grenades. He also always carries his own personal magnum and occasionally a shotgun. Aside from the weapons, he generally carries a small pack with medical supplies and water as well as a small, but sustainable, amount of rations.

So begins...

Corporal Dorian Stoneman briskly opened the front door of Gambit's and took a short but committed look around. The Spartan stood at a little over six feet tall, and his armor was a camo-blend of dark greys and shades of black. From underneath his helmet, he scanned the bar and located who he had been looking for for half an hour. He matched the description, dark armor with green detail.

Finally, Dorian walked in and closed the door behind him, walking to a quiet corner of the room, watching the other Spartain whilst standing at attention, but not wanting to interrupt his conversation.

Only after he was beckoned did the corporal move to the table - his motions were very tight, thought out, and deliberate. It was obvious that he had not been out of the Spartan transformation for too long, as he still showed heavy signs of being fresh from the factory.

Once he reached James's table, the Spartan offered a brisk salute and then stood at attention. From the speaker holes of his helmet rolled out in a very precise and medium-toned voice, "Corporal Dorian Stoneman reporting as ordered by Command, sir. Are you Captain James Draco, sir?"

"Only following orders, sir," he replied to the first bit, followed by, "and I was ordered to follow you as my Officer in Command." Once James gave the warning, Dorian nodded and replied, "Sir." He pulled his assault rifle that was hung on the strap around his shoulder and held it in lookout position. He nodded toward Kurtis in recognition and did the same for Aria, keeping his gaze on her as he awaited the answer to the Captain's question.

"Roger," Dorian replied. Underneath his helmet he grit his teeth. The Spartan had been in battle before, but he didn't know what exactly was about to attack, and he didn't like that something was going to just explode without his knowledge. He quietly dropped to one knee and held out his rifle, ready to fire - he kept his wits about him and looked about the room with his eyes and his sensors.

Stoneman blinked as he saw the ice coming at him, and once again as he was teleported...it felt weird, but this was no time to dwell on such matters. He had been rescued, and he was now ready to do his part. After making sure everyone else was also in one pice, he moved into a crouching position and looked around trying to spot the source of the ice, his weapon always raised.

The corporal's eyes widened slightly as he saw the dozens of small witches with arm-blades that seemed to come out of nowhere. Now, it was true that these were unlike any enemy he had faced before, but an opponent was an opponent. He was going to fight either way, and hopefully show his usefulness to his new OC.

Once he saw Aria attack the first one out of the corner of his eye, he knew he was clear to engage. Dorian aimed and began to take out clone after clone with his rifle. They went down easy, he realized, but he definitely wanted to avoid those blades. One sprinted up behind him, but he ducked and rolled, shooting it in the back, making it explode as it ran past him.

Dorian heeded Aria's warning, and almost a bit too late. Needles sprayed the area around him, and he moved just in time as a needle flew by where his head had been. Another leap and a roll and he grabbed a table, forced it on its side, and took cover behind/underneath it.

Once safe-ish, he continued to fire at the explode-on-impact clones. He noticed after a few moments that James had quit firing, thinking quickly, he took one of his spare DMR clips and shouted, "Heads up, Captain!" before tossing it accurately in the other Spartan's direction.

Dorian heard over the coms the request for ammo and smirked from beneath his helmet; it was good to know that his new Commanding Officer was able to get supplies like that. Once the ammo canisters broke in, he prepared himself to move toward them, figuring that they could act as a kind of rendezvous point. He saw the clone coming up on Kurtis and fired at it a second too late. As it exploded and he went down, Stoneman cursed under his breath and called out in the coms, "Man down! Moving to his position!"

He roadie-ran to Kurtis' spot on the floor, firing and reloading the whole way over. Once he reached him, the Spartan knelt beside him and started laying down cover fire. "Assistance required Captain, I've no first aid supplies!" Meanwhile, Dorian did what he could to keep Kurtis out of harm's way.

The corporal caught the equipment and ducked as he ripped it open, getting started on Kurtis' wound. "It's gonna be alright, stay with me!" He ripped open the man's shirt and began to patch him up, lowering his head occasionally to evade a needle or canon-like attack.

At the Captain's last comment, without looking up he responded, "Hooah sir! Unleash hell!"

Dorian paused for a moment to gander at the undead warrior who had just saved his skin...he guessed that maybe he had more allies than he was aware of. He shook his head and continued to work, delving into his medical training and past experiences.

After he had fixed up the battlefield dressing, the corporal uncapped a shot of adrenaline and a shot of painkillers, sticking both in the man's shoulder simultaneously and injecting them. Once they were empty, he tossed away the needles and patted Kurtis' good shoulder. "That's all I can do for you, are you alright to fight?"

As the intense explosions continued to occur with more strength, Dorian began to wonder just what the hell kind of outfit he had been sent to. Meanwhile, waiting for Kurtis' answer, he took his DMR and continued to fire at the remaining clones.

Finally Dorian stood as he ran out of DMR ammunition; he pulled out his M9 pistol and began to fire single rounds into the witch clones, smoothly walking over to the ammo canisters. Once he made sure his immediate area was clear, he knelt down, tore open one of the canisters, and restocked on his DMR ammo.

The Spartan holstered the pistol and reloaded his assault rifle, once again beginning to take out witches, near and far. After a few moments, he repaid his skeletal savior by taking out a couple of witch clones headed for him, effectively repaying his earlier deed.

Dorian nodded in thanks to Kurtis, that had been close, a little too close, he hadn't even seen that one coming. He continued to fight on, but paused as he saw the Captain hit the wall. The corporal almost went to him, but he remembered that their armor had shields, very capable shields at that. His confidence in the technology was confirmed when James stood back up and called in Omega Platoon.

For the second time during this fight, Dorian smiled, knowing it wouldn't be too long now before this was all over. Omega would wrap things up. With that, he lifted his weapon again, and right before he fired on a witch, a fiery cannonball hit him from behind, knocking him unconscious immediately and sending him flying across the room with a trail of smoke, smashing into a booth. He was unharmed, his shields had come through, but he was out like a light.

Dorian finally came to and immediately grabbed his nearby DMR - he nodded to the squad that had taken part in reviving the unconscious Spartan and said, "Nice work boys, but there's bigger fish to fry."

Finally the corporal saw who the main target was, he had been so focused on the clones before. He lifted his assault rifle and began to fire quite accurately at the witch ringleader. This battle was getting tiresome, it was so unlike fighting other alien races. He grit his teeth and squeezed the trigger tighter, as if it would somehow make the bullets more powerful and accurate.

Dorian rolled behind a pillar at the last moment, the floor around him turning frosty, he allowed himself a small sigh of relief and looked around at the ODST's that were nearby. It was good to know that they had support.

Stoneman looked around, trying to think as quickly and as steadily as possible. He realized something had to be done, and his Captain's words in the coms didn't make him feel too grand. The Spartan peeped around the corner, spotting the head witch.

As Kurtis saved the two at risk, Dorian sprinted out, taking the laser sword as it fell, leaping in the air as the blade extended, and lunging it hopefully into the witch's chest.

"Ahhhh shit!" he managed to call right before the ice hit him. But with the right aerial maneuvers and a healthy bit of luck, Dorian dodged all but one of the chunks of ice, but it only clipped his shoulder. He was unfortunately too far away to stab at Erza anymore, but he stood back up and threw the sword speedily toward here.

Realizing that the room was a lot more quiet than before, he looked at the ODST men and called out over the coms, "What the hell are you waiting for men?! Open fire!"

Dorian grimaced as the laser sword stuck into the small ice dome; he leapt just in time as the ice spikes shot up at him. He landed safely, half balancing on the ice spikes. This was insane, they're only hope now was that...holy mother of God, was that a dragon?

This day kept getting weirder and weirder. He looked at the ODST that had taken Kurtis in for medical and called out on the coms, "Cease fire everyone, conserve your ammunition, you're not getting through that! Stand by!" With that, he jogged back over to a nearby pillar and took cover, equipping his DMR again.

Where the hell was the Captain? He watched as the dragon newcomer worked at defeating the frosty witch. Once again he turned to the ODST, he had to keep them motivated, their morale up. "Alright boys, I think that dragon needs a little bit of audience attention! Let's go, show him some love!!!! Come on fire breath!!!!! Kick some ass!!!!" It wasn't much, he knew, but it was something, and doing nothing was worse.

Dorian watched as the witch exited her dome and flew around on the ice dragon - it didn't look like the ally could fly, but at least he was blazing up a little bit. He figured it was time to get going again, no more shields for Erza, she was vulnerable again. Well...as vulnerable as a frost witch could be anyway.

"New orders!" he shouted over the coms, lifting his assault rifle to aim at the frost dragon again. "I want a team to secure the leftover ammunition canisters! Loot up, and spread them around! Everyone else, make the witch eat lead! Hooah?!"

Dorian looked away as the explosion, the pillar he was taking cover behind took the brunt of the impact, and so he was unharmed. This was going on for too long - she was only getting more powerful, and they were only running out of resources. This had to end soon; he feared that if it didn't soon then they were looking at a monstrous defeat.

What would happen if they lost?...he didn't even want to think about it. Suddenly the massive MAC round, undoubtedly shot from a nearby fleet, burst through the wall and hit the witch. He really hoped that that was enough to at least slow her down. Had it been a better time, he would have chuckled at the Spaniard's rant, but for now, he just wanted to make sure that the ODST's, Kurt, and...was that the Captain?! Wait...was he?!...what the hell?!

"Stop! Stop right there!" Dorian shouted, walking wobbly-like up behind the witch, his assault rifle raised. "I think that's about enough out of you tonight!" He raised a hand to motion the ODST detail to move closer but stay in cover, and then replaced his free hand on the firearm.

He watched, shocked as the dragon spurred to life again, and then faded out; unsure of what happened, he simply stayed there, gun raised.

He let out a strained chuckle and gripped her wrist with one of his hands. Choking he said, "Fuck...you..." And with that, there was a single high pitched note, and still clutching her wrist tightly with one hand, he slams a plasma grenade onto the inside of her elbow. He gives her the finger with his free hand and waits for the....BOOOOOM!!!!!

Dorian flew backwards, enveloped in grey smoke, and hit the wall with his back, sliding down hard into a sitting position. That close explosion had tested his armor's energy shield, but yet again it pulled through, and besides a few burns inside, he was perfectly fine, if not a bit dizzy.

In his little haze on the floor, the corporal unholstered his Desert Eagle and began to fire rounds into the Cyclone attack, hopefully racking a hit or two off of the trapped Erza. He had better be getting a promotion for this...

Without a moment's delay, the spartan stood back up, holstered the powerful pistol, and sprinted toward the fleeing witch. He dove for her, and if he was successful, his heavy armor and own personal super-human strength brought her to the floor like an anchor, and he held her there, waiting for Aria to see if there was anything special to do.
