Personal Habits

THE PAST:
What can I say? Being born to a family that works side by side with my fathers adversary proves to be an interesting motive. I have learned the very trade that has granted my privileged lifestyle some meaning and yet I was always looking for more. During my final years I had to see my home destroyed by Ashen forces who bombarded a planetary ring that rested upon the orbit of Terra. Finally I was forced to surrender my forces and watch as my ship was destroyed before my very eyes, that was 20 some years ago, but now with a second chance and the scientific minds of the Council I was reborn. I once was on the peek of my life and now that I was granted another chance to start over I don't think I will make the same mistake twice. Do you think I hate the Terrans for their lax behavior? On the contrary I have to love that chaotic bunch of dolts.

The Goods: Douglas Weskit could be said to be the luckiest man Terra has ever housed for a short time. His luck and ability to acquire the most minute traces of old Council tech has proven his resourcefulness several times over and it is due to his luck that his ability to acquire a set of guards to protect him and serve him was no means an accident or slice of company policy. Though officially Mars Corp. would never allow one of its finest members to go without escort for to long.

The G-Unit Series was created and put into effect under strict orders by Douglas Weskit to both improve his security detail and to prevent any folly that man would normally have. It was always said that a battalion of droids could do a job better than any man for they did not give in to emotions like fear or prejudice. The Standard G-unit Series droid can be found equipped with slug-throwing weaponry and blades to in case of a lapse in ammunition or if the target is proving to be too difficult to deal with at any range. Their armor has seen many years of change and the latest models lay claim to a lightweight design and a sturdy frame allowing them to take more damage and still operate at 100% efficiency.

Other Droids within this series are also outfitted with heavier weapons depending upon situation and the logic core installed into each droid. Where one droid might be on a rooftop watching its target from afar with an advanced auto rifle another might be moving through the crowd with a semi-auto weapon in hand and a holographic projector hiding itself among the people. The sheer amount of versatility that these droids seem to share makes other makes and models look like toys. Mars Corporation can claim that it has truly outdone itself this time.

On a more interesting detail each of the G-unit droids are marked with a personal rune on the back of each of their chassis which marks them as the personal property of Douglas Weskit. Though this mark is of an arcane nature it gives off no signature of any kind if others try to detect it. The Mark itself allows for the owner of the droids to easily channel arcane energy into and through these automatons.

The Old Magic and the New

"Through the art of Arcana I once again am anew. A transmutation here and there and yet you have very few."

Image

Though I am now limited as to what I could do I find it an almost refreshing start to say the least. I am still the transmuter I once claimed to be though I found that with the aging process now in a full new cycle most of what I once knew seems worthless now. In short I am nothing more than a simple man who has a vast grasp on tempering my abilities and shifting my energies only the slightest to give a much more dramatic effect. One man once told me that with the subtle changes to my aura I was able to make myself react a bit faster and hit a bit harder if I so choose. Another person told me that if I focused hard enough I could materialize that same aura into something else but at a cost. I am not entirely sure if I will fully be able to recover to use what knowledge I have to full practice but I now know something that I could have never fathomed in my advanced age, the magic is in my blood and I can rely on it .

So begins...

The rough tapping of a cane against wood would become rather apparent as Lord Weskit made his way to the balcony that was overlooking the bar and his one eye gaed over the current patrons with some interest as he held himself with a noble heart and high esteem for himself. A smile crept over his features as he slowly made his way down the stairs of the establishment to the main floor only to wave down one of the servers. "Miss if you would be so kind as to brew me up a kettle of tea I think that I would be most appreciative." Weskit said only to smile and his cold eyes watched the serving girl rush off as to fulfill his order. "Capitol, just pleasing to see such an establishment filled with potential."

Douglas Weskit just looked upon Sebastian only to eye him up and down and nod while his hands clenched the nob of his cane. "Yes I require a cup of tea, Earl Grey, and a plate of crumpets." Weskit sniffed the air about this man only to shake his head. "And do please be quick about it."

Douglas Weskit took a seat and allowed his cane to come to a rest beside him as he took up his cup of tea and allowed the aroma to fill his nostrils before taking a sip just to smile. "Very good." Sir Weskit took his very first sip of the tea he had ordered just to set the cup down and take up a crumpet and was enjoying himself right now.

Douglas Weskit just simply nodded to Sebastian and turned to look at the young child but then gazed upon the man who had served him only to smirk as he had a hunch. "She is fine." Weskit suggested and offered the young girl the crumpet he was about to take a bite out of only to smile slightly. "It is the children of Terra I sometimes worry about." He said to the young girl before turning back to Sebastian only to continue to smile as he was not on duty at the moment.

"True." Sir Weskit said as he looked upon the girl with his single green eye but he could not frown at the young girl. "She might be dirty but I am sure she is a jewel beneath all that grime." Weskit just turned his gaze upon the couple only to shake his head. "Wonderful, considering the day I have off."

Douglas Weskit just grabbed another one of the crumpets that was upon his plate only to take a bite out of it and smile as the taste reminded him of England and when he took up his cup once more he sipped at his tea and was very pleased with what had been created upon order from him, far superior workmanship than what a droid could reproduce. When Sebastian spoke Sir Weskit would grab a hold of his cane only to tape it on the ground as if to gather everyone's attention. "I will not tolerate demonic forces 'threatening' a Terran child, even if she is not of the norm. It will be my duty to remove you sir if you continue to pester the poor child." Weskit just allowed his green eye to look upon the small child and point to a bathroom with his cup of tea. "Girl go clean yourself up using the sinks that are available and take that towel to dry yourself when you are done."

Douglas Weskit almost look slightly startled as he heard that name spoken by Sebastian only to turn his gaze upon the man and shake his head. "Then respect my wishes and leave the young girl alone." Weskit said only to turn back his gaze upon Rau expecting the young man to do something foolish but took up his cup of tea and sipped at it patiently only to glance back at Sebastian. "I never thought that I would treated as an Aschen."

Douglas Weskit would point his cup towards Rau and offer a grim smirk. "That right there. Has no respect for the people who have been trying to make this place better than it was, keep in mind we built the ring above their heads for their own protection." Sir Weskit explained only to sip at his tea and place it by his plate. "And here one of them sits acting as if they are the damned world and that nothing could touch them." He spoke rather silently now as he turned back to face his crumpets that he had ordered only to set the cane back on the counter and let out a sigh. "The nerve but I suppose it could be blamed on the young having a fire about them."

Douglas Weskit just smiled and took up the cup that was poured for him only to raise it slightly and sip at the hot beverage. "You see this gentlemen before me smells rather 'fishy', it could be the fact that he has a scent of brimstone and fire about him or it could be that he is just one of the most polite and well mannered peopled I have come across." Weskit just shrugged slightly as he took yet another sip from his tea just to let out a sigh of relief. "The fact remains that as a admiral of the ship called Archimedes I will be one of the few men who will be patrolling around Terra's known space as to keep everyone in here safe against threats against the planet."

Douglas Weskit just turned to look at Rau just to nod slightly. "I am first and always a witch hunter for the Council; Demons, ghosts, vampires, and those who use magic against the people are my domain." Weskit said as he touched his cane and his eye beneath the patch he wore would begin to glow ominously. "I am in control of a rather large ship and have been put on vacation as it is being repaired and fitted for my purposes."

Douglas Weskit would raise up out of his seat as something began to bother him, an order received by his ear piece just to stand up and finish off his tea and grab his cane. "And it appears that my first duty is required as we speak." Douglas said as he walked out of the bar and made his way to the streets being informed of his job as he went about his business.

Douglas Weskit took several strides into the bar, every step followed by the clack of his cane against the floor of the bar, his green eye looking over the patrons of the bar and his smile unrivaled as he almost gave off a friendly kind of feel. "Well I suppose the Council can keep this place safe for awhile." Sir Weskit spoke as he moved up to the bar were the holomenu sat only to order a cup of Earl Grey while he waited to see what the day had in store for him.

Douglas Weskit just smirked and took up his tea that arrived only to place several Terran credits down only to take his tea and move over to a table only to be accompanied by his cane and what good will he had for the people. Douglas made note of the woman who he had thought he had seen before just to shrug it off and take his seat with his tea and placing his cane up on the table he took up. Sir Weskit took a sip of the Earl grey he had ordered only to let a relieved sigh escape his lips as he so did miss getting a good cup of tea from this planet when he had the chance.

Douglas Weskit just shook his head at the spoon and took up his cup just to smile as the warm beverage of his choosing touched his lips and then his tongue, a perfect cup of tea it seemed. "Thank you very much." Douglas spoke only to sip at his tea and enjoyed the warm feeling of it traveling down his throat was rather relaxing.

Douglas Weskit just turned to look towards the new Aschen fellow who had taken his time to arrive to the bar. "Lovely." Douglas whispered as he flexed his grip on the handle of his cane only to leave his handkerchief by the woman as he wanted to see what this man was up to with whatever it was that he was holding. Douglas however was not stupid and pressed a small metal plate where his watch was sitting getting into contact with Theta of the defensive ring and making sure his ship was on its way.

It clicked so to speak as who the balling woman was, it even became apparent as to who her husband was as Council information was very extensive due to the amount of research time each scribe put into the database. Douglas just turned his attention from her to the other man who appared to be an Aschen just to put two and two together only to lower his head. "I am sorry to hear about your husband." Douglas said as he looked at Cally Mcgregor and then to the young man who presented a flag and his own condolences. Thar Archimedes began its approach to the defensive ring and towards terra only to stop once it got close enough to remain above the planet and Douglas turned away from them all only to pull out his comlink and let out a deep sigh. "This is Admiral Weskit to Archimedes. "Update a new Aschen death."

'Sir Weskit we will be sure to pick up on the news chatters from the Aschens and add this information to our databases.' One of the crew members of the ship would respond as Douglas Weskit just remained within ear shot while finishing up his tea. It was interesting to hear what the Aschens were talking about and to be this close to two of them for even this amount of time was impressive for Weskit.

Several stealth units using thermoptic camouflage would stand at the opening of the alley way, not seen and not even a ripple due to their stealth fields, Douglas Weskit however would make his way down the alley way with his jacket on and always accompanied by his cane. "What do we have here then?" Weskit said in a rather friendly manner as he would continue to approach the young boy just to stop as he looked upon the corpse of the homeless fellow. "Poor soul."
