A young, slender, and beautiful woman drapped her arm around the old man's elbow. She was adorned in a raven black dress that emphasized her athletic curvature. Her hair was a golden brown that fell to the center of an exposed back. Lightly tanned arms hung loosely at her sides. Concealing her face was a mask similar to the man's. Across her middle finger was a ring with the same stylized triangle. Both of the figures carried themselves with the confidence of mild celebrities and successful business-people.

"How do you do..." said the woman in a generic human accent. It was difficult to decipher whether it was Terran, Aschen, or something else.

"Yes... It is most unfortunate." Amanda sighed. "Though I am grateful that we are learning more about our universe through the studies of the arcane, there are certain natural dangers that are included in the endeavor. I have seen many young mages or wizards come in with serious burns or other ailments caused by lack of control over their powers. There are also rogue wizards and other sorcerers with ill intentions. Fortunately, my father and his scientists have been researching ways to defend against magical creatures. My sector has also been working on drugs that will help stabilize a person's magical energies."

Amanda Ereb ventured further into the room. THe beautiful young woman gazed through her mask with sky blue eyes and admired the artwork and architecture. Her long raven black dressed flowed elegantly behind her as heels glittered and clacked along the tile. When the large man entered the room and sent the bouncer flying, she let out a sharp gasp before shuffling to his side with a doctor's instinct. The woman lifted her slender hand to the man's neck to check for a pulse.

After stabilizing the injured bouncer with various first aid tools she kept on her person, Amanda leaned him against the wall and called for an ambulance. When the host spoke about this mysterious drug, she only gaped in both alarm and disgust. Was this man crazy?

Amanda Ereb suddenly withdrew a small cell phone from a pocket and pressed it up to her ear. After a moment she looked to her father. "Mr. Ereb, he says that he's figured it out... He wants us back at his laboratory as soon as possible."

Another person followed close behind the elderly businessman. She was an attractive young woman in her mid-twenties with sky blue eyes and glossy dark brown hair that fell to the center of her back. A long black skirt swayed along her knee-line as her heels clacked against the floor. Clothing her torso was a white buttoned-up blouse wrapped in a well-tailored black suit jacket. Her eyes bore the playfulness of a young lady, but also the ferocity of a woman out to prove herself in the business realm. Gripped in her manicured palm was a holographic tablet that buzzed with various economic and medical trivia that would be like hieroglyphs to the average person.

“Who is responsible for this?!” one of the other reporters cried.

“The host, or should I say mad scientist…” began Amanda Erebnull, “was Elijah Alexander Kenton. His plot was to utilize the populace of the masquerade as test subjects for his deadly serum. It is believed that he may have survived the collapse of the mansion. So if anyone has any information on his arrest, please inform the Terran police as soon as possible. Also, our sources show that this drug as taken to the streets and has been labeled as Elysium, or magic beans. I advise that you not take this dangerous poison and inform local authorities on its distributors. This drug is not a narcotic. It may or may not have been engineered since the Lectre Mansion incident, but we believe it is still highly dangerous. We believe he may also be working with others.”

From the same doorway emerged a slender woman with brownish gold hair that was tied back in a tight ponytail. She was dressed in a long white lab coat and black khakis. Short heels clicked along the metallic floor as she walked towards the group. Bright blue eyes looked at James with a calculating gaze. The woman was young and beautiful, and walked with a fierce yet caring demeanor. Gripped in her hand was a holographic datapad that buzzed with graphs, schematics, and other scientific jargon.

"So... You must be the Subject 11 everyone is talking about..." she gave the man a smile. Her voice was soft yet professional, and it bore a generic human accent.

While Zalion asked his questions, Amanda scribbled away in her datapad with an electronic pen.

"Sure thing..." Amanda replied before collapsing her datapad and dropping it into one of the baggy pockets of her lab coat. She produced a small device that looked like an over sized pen. On the end was a sharp needle-like tip. "James, would you mind removing your armor? Unless you'd like me to stick this in your neck." she winked.

Amanda listened to the tale. "That sounds very interesting, Jacob." the woman said before she poked his arm with the instrument. It hardly drew an ounce of blood through the microscopic needle. The only sign of penetration with the small red dot on his forearm.

She walked over to another device and plugged the instrument into a slot. It resonated with a hum as it analyzed the sample.

"Tell me, James. Does this DNA give you any special abilities or properties? With your permission I would like to do some research on it. There's no telling what kind of breakthroughs I can make with this!" she gazed in wonder at the numbers and charts that popped up on the machine's screen.

As Mr. Ereb strode further into the room, Amanda smiled humorously at the reporter's question. She had not really thought about any sort of romantic interest other than the occasional one-night stand. Her work was far too important!

"Daddy," perked up Amanda as she sipped on a martini. "I would so like to speak with Doctor Davrell regarding our medical research. Do you think we could strike an agreement? Perhaps contract some of our equipment?" she asked. Another thought crossed her mind. Several drugs were now ready for human testing. Perhaps the good doctor would be willing to allow them to test them out on the detainees?

At a table, the beautiful heiress to Ereb Industries sat and traced a slender finger over her wine glass. The woman scanned the crowds. A thousand things ran through her mind, mostly consisting of ErebLife's recent dragon genome project, or more effecient ways to create artificial organs. Amanda sighed.

It was then her boredom-stricken eyes caught Anodyne. She gave her a small smile and wave out of courtesy.

Amanda gave the woman another smile. "Hey there..." she said while placing a hand on her cheek. "Not as exciting as you would have hoped? Same here. I was hoping to get a conversation in with the doctor over there, but he's been busy throughout the night. What brings you here?"

Amanda nodded. "Ahh... Militia. I'm with my father, Gabriel Ereb." she gestured to the elderly businessman chatting away with the odd tycoon, politician, or scientist. "My name is Amanda. I head the ErebLife division of Ereb Industries." The woman stated casually, as if she just told the other woman that she was a secretary, teacher, or a stay-at-home mom, but no. Amanda was the heir to a multi-trillion credit galactic-scale corporation.

Amanda shrugged, catching her meaning. "I guess I've always been more of a lab person than a talker. Sure I can be a chatterbox sometimes, but that's just genetics. Over all though, I am much more reserved compared to my father. My idea of a good weekend is reading a book or doing research on one of our two dozen projects going on at one time." she giggled slightly.

#, as written by Saarai
Stryfe sat in her office, Nina standing near her desk, pen moving swiftly along her paper. The letter she wrote was urgent, one that could potentially change the future of Terra. She only hoped those she sent the letter to would be receptive to the ideas presented.

She wrote, 'Hello, captain, officer, prime minister, ambassador, colonel, general, director, president, senator, or congressman, whomever you may be. My name is Fatin Alfarsi, you may, or may not, know me, but I am one of two heads of the organization known as The Invictus. I write you this letter because I, like you, currently live on Terra. I am invested in it's well-being and the well-being of it's people, their freedom from threats such as the Aschen, the Taiyou, Belkans and any others who would rather keep us from being who we want to be, from being individuals.

I ask for a meeting to earn your support in a full reform of the Terran government and how it perceives official, and unofficial, sovereign entities and organizations who would like representation on the planet and it's affairs.

We have to join together because we are on this planet, if the planet is lost, we lose as a collective. I, for one, do not plan to allow any more lives to be taken by those who would rather do harm to our people. Our brethren.

If you allow me an audience, I will go into more detail. If this interests you so far contact in any way you wish. Phone, letter, e-mail, or a personal visit to my office at The Palace located on Main Street in Wing City.

Personal Phone: 213-489-2732.
E-mail: BigKahuna@various.
Address: The Palace @ 9001 Main Street, Wing City.

Finishing the letter, Stryfe handed the letter to her assistant, Nina. "Make sure this gets to Camma." Stryfe told the woman, "Make several copies first. I'll have the Veritas give her the addresses she needs." Stryfe said to the woman, "Aye aye." Nina said, turning to leave Stryfe's office.

A week passed as the draconian scientist worked diligently on the samples of DNA that Ereb Industries provided. As she was consumed in her work, a subtle unseen and silent eye kept watch on her - monitoring her progress. Finally, the scientific trance was broken by the hiss of the lab door. Two figures stepped through the doorway. The first was the elderly multi-billionaire physicist and engineer, Mr. Gabriel Ereb. He again wore his iconic midnight blue tailored suit with onyx cufflinks. His intelligent lively blue eyes scanned the room and eyed the various charts, papers, screens, and other scientific jargon that littered the room.

From the same doorway emerged a slender woman with brownish gold hair that was tied back in a tight ponytail. She was dressed in a long white lab coat and black khakis. Short heels clicked along the metallic floor as she walked towards the group. Bright blue eyes imitated that of Mr. Ereb's with a calculating gaze. The woman was young and beautiful, and walked with a fierce yet caring demeanor. Gripped in her hand was a holographic datapad spinning with charts, logs, and other data.

It was quite amazing, the sight that Mr. Ereb and his daughter witnessed as the lab doors hissed open. The walls were almost completely covered with charts, posters, pages of notes, and other stuff, mostly drawings of the intricate DNA strand that was constantly floating in the center of the room in a 3D holographic form. The floors were relatively clean, but had a few crumpled up pieces of paper hidden away in corners. In one of the darker corners of the room a hammock hang from in between the walls, and the area around that had a curtain for privacy. The curtain was open however, and laying on the hammock was Jennifer Motzu, sleeping as if she had passed out without a second thought.

The drachini researcher's lab coat was hung up neatly on a hook by the hammock, but other than that, everything else about her was sloppy. Sloppy in the fact that she lay sprawled out on her back in the hammock, with half of her leg and arm hanging over the side while the other hand rested on her belly and the other foot rested near the edge of the hammock. Her clothes were messed up as well, as if she turned frequently in her sleep.

"Fascinating..." Mr. Ereb whispered to himself as he skimmed the data. "Amanda, make sure to archive this research into our servers."

The woman nodded before lifting up her datapad so it was parallel with the charts and graphs. As she slowly passed the pad over the papers, the small camera came to life and take snapshots. Mr. Ereb, on the other hand, approached the holographic display in the center of the room and focused on the model. He glanced at Jennifer in the corner, smirked, and lifted a balled fist to his mouth.

"Ahem."

It didn't take long for one of Jennifer's eyes to slowly pop open and witness Mr. Ereb standing there. She opened her other eye and blinked a few times before her eyes widened in surprise and she fell out of the hammock, literally with a loud thud.

"Ow...." The drachini researcher quickly got up and put on her lab coat after fixing her clothes and hair before heading out to the lab and clapping once. "Time to work, mama's awake." she muttered. At least five other holographic images of the DNA she had been studying popped up, each focusing on a specific gene on the DNA strand.

"Good..." she looked around for a clock "...I wanna say morning." she finished. "Anyway, you could have let me know you were coming to visit, I would have tidied up a bit." she said, tilting her head to either side, making her neck pop. Her draconian eyes then focused on Amanda, and an eyebrow was raised.

"Hello, I don't believe we've met." she said. "Name's Jennifer, but it's not like you don't already know that." she said with a playful tone and a small shrug.

She looked back to Mr. Ereb. "So, um...what are you hear for?" she asked casually.
