Description

Doctor Carlyle M. Errin stands at a modest height of about five foot, eight inches tall and dresses casually in denim clacks and dark colored collared shirts. The doctor is not impressive of built but when his sleeves are rolled up to perform work it is obvious he is not poorly off, either. Smooth and straight glossy black hair runs down between his shoulder blades in a low-tied ponytail, betraying some East Asian descending and dark eyes masked by the reflective sheen of spectacles betray only how heartless he truly looks.

Personality

Dr. Errin is not truly 100% heartless but instead hold very strange values. The doctor has little regard for human safety and has performed countless procedures on humans that others deemed too dangerous. The fact that he had no regard for failure in the first place may have spelled out why he seemed to always succeed, but that depends on how one would judge success. Side-effects of 75% of his surgeries were cookie-cutter fit to the warning labels almost as though they were engineered to avoid law suits while not being problem-free. Dr. Errin seems to show care for certain things and so long as the relationship remains interesting, has an interest in people as more than building blocks. It seems the good doctor has something of a control issue, however, and feels the strange need to create as a form of control. It has shown through violently only a few occasions… the first of which was when the doctor prematurely let out his flesh and machine chimera, causing loss of life on both ends.

History

Dr. Errin began his career in the medical field as a well-meaning and well to do genetic therapist/engineer. He was brilliant, according to his professors and showed great promise in the field and with such a dual major as what he had done he was going to be able to bring great insight into the field of genetic engineering as well as genetic therapy. Something happened to the doctor though and he grew reclusive, focusing greatly on genetic alteration and letting his practice in gene therapy fall into disarray and eventual failure. Eventually his practices in the gene alteration field also failed and he dropped off the grid for a few years.
When the doctor re-emerged into public he was strangely withdrawn and became off-kilter but went straight back into school, focusing on mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, micro technology, micro biology, nanotechnology and a variety of other scientific degrees that he seemed to obsessed over. He finished them at an astonishing rate that was hailed as inhuman and his motives were eventually questioned.
It appeared, when he came back to the fields of medicine, that the doctor had lost all interest in helping people and instead became more like an interrogator with his therapy. It failed miserably and he lost his position at the local hospital. Eventually he became blacklisted for his behaviors and was forced to turn to the world of corporate research and development to further his career. After several jobs going awry due to his negative reputation, one company finally took him on for longer than a few months. Geno Corp. was a parent company to several genetic and nontech prosthesis corporations, having a general focus on mechanical alteration of the body and working in the field to progress cybernetic prosthetics.
The doctor provided insight and advancement in the field with ruthless efficiency and Geno. Corp wisely kept him under close scrutiny and heavy veil. The doctor received several commendations for his work and even regained some of his lost reputation by his work in the view of cybernetic prosthetics. All interview and public commendation was declined by the doctor however and his face was more or less forgotten. His name was what remained infamous.

Eventually the world got a face to the name, however, when, in his own personal lab, the doctor unveiled a miraculous creation that sparked humanitarian and naturalist groups to new levels of hate mongering. The doctor fused flesh and blood with machinery and cybernetics to create an organic machine which lived and breathed and had animal level intelligence. It was a true chimera of a modern age.
The backlash was tremendous and Geno corp. came under great scrutiny. Due to the loop-holes in the law, however, Dr. Errin afforded Geno corp. enough wiggle room to shake off any real threats and life went on. Dr. Errin’s creation ended out dying due to imperfections and it was all hailed as a tragic mistake.
Two years later, Dr. Errin’s face appeared in the news yet again, but this time not in accusation or admittance but in suspicion. A deadly attack from a strange animal that seemed to have not been of any natural order ended the lives of 8 people before it was killed. The blaze surrounding the incident marred all reputable evidence toward the beast’s creation.
A dark cloud of suspicion was following Doctor Carlyle Errin everywhere he went and he began to receive more and more flak from Naturalist and Humanitarian groups. In an effort to prove that the doctor could create for good once more, Geno Corp. set the doctor to work on a project of good will to change the world’s mind about him!
Instead of truly working within acceptable parameters, however, Doctor Carlyle Errin once again broke the realm of possible and created a prodigy machine that was nearly organic in its creation. Geno Corp sunk millions of dollars into the project in great hope of results and had tried to cancel it a few times but the good doctor was able to complete it…

Geno corp. insisted that project Physmatis be activated right away and shown to the public. Dr. Errin advised them against this but the corporation was so forceful that the doctor allowed it. The press release could not have gone worse for Geno corp.
“Assessment: The fleshbags in front of me seem to be exhibiting displeasure at my presence. Further observation: I support your thoughts on killling them all, Master. Evaluation: Improvised killings often offer the most amusing learning experiences.”
Were the first words to come from the fluid mechanical visage of the SACK VI driven by a human-based logic engine named Physmatis. Apparently the good doctor and imbued the machine with too much of his own mind and, though Doctor Errin found it all terribly amusing and was unable to hide his smile, Geno corp. released him publically from payroll.
Since, Dr. Errin’s infamy has given him plenty of private contracts with less than reputable entities and his years with Geno Corp. afforded him with the funding necessary to build his own sub-basement lab.
Now, Dr. Errin has a cool relationship with the relatively sentient intelligence that is Physmatis and they have a twisted father son relationship founded on the occasional disembodied limb as a gift for the doctor and the occasion system upgrade for Physmatis.

It’s a beautiful thing, that.

So begins...

Dr. Errin slinked into the bar with rather slow steps, ever cautious of the public and found his blown wide with threats of violence and screaming for blood and burning. Dr. Carlyle Errin stepped forward and watched on with amusement, adjusting his oval spectacles to better view the mob careening toward the stairs. The doctor held his tongue before he might scream 'No burning! I can't use burned parts!'. Instead, he just watched.

Dr. Errin cracked a grin that otherwise broke his creepy visage as Physmatis approached him. "And just think, dear Matis, you were inspired by them." The doctor chuckled darkly and his grin returned to a self-satisfied smirk that sharks reserve for baby seals. "Oh do leave my dear Matis alone." The doctor bid of the mob."You know... I could make you all into quite the capable warriors. A snip here... some cybornetic alteration there. It would be quite dashing watching you charge into battle. A -behemoth- of modern marvels!" The doctor chuckled and rolled a small ball in his fingers.

Dr. Errin laughed out loud in the way a madman does and muttered "This will not do..." the good doctor then procured a small device from his hands and walked with a disgusting nonchalance behind the bar, disappearing so he might do his cracking in peace.

Dr. Errin grinned as it only took him a practical moment to download his subroutine into Gambit's via the network interlink. It pays having contacts in low places sometimes. Suddenly the bar's lights all went out and the no longer automated turrets in the ceiling descended. An emulated voice played over the loudspeakers in a distorted manner. "Gambits will now be closing, please deposit your unwanted body parts in the door-side bins." Dr. Errin Grinned gleefully from behind the bar as the Autoturrets began to mow down any unarmored soldiers present.

Dr. Errin quickly slipped on a respirator with visor and compressed it to his skin, activating the device. Then, using his interlink, the doctor used Physmatis' night-vision to see what was going on in the room. The doctor was now seeing part of physmatis was. Generally, quite dizzying were it not for the light speed at which the doctor's mind operated. "Bitch-bot. Heh. Good one. Oh matis dear, I installed some new equipment when you were sleeping, I'm uploading the info." Doctor Errin then pulled out a small device and popped up over the counter for a moment, lobbing it into the fray, singing a song that went something like a child's made up song. "I love sulfur mustard gas, its how I make time pass. La de da de da de doo. Boom." Suddenly the air exploded with a thick yellow gas and Dr. Errin ducked behind the bar.

Dr. Errin finished dawning the rest of the suit he had in his backpack and now the doctor was covered head to toe in a scuba dry suit, a respirator and his regular clothes. Then the doctor opted to activate the lights and the put the ventilation system on high. The air was muddled a yellowy ting and it began to wisp upward into the ceiling as fresh are was pulled in from outside.

Dr. Errin decided he would venture away from the bar scene as he had seen quite a few individuals run up toward the stairs and hall. Dr. Erran stepped unceremoniously all over the bodies, the blood and gore and simply walked past the violence and into the hall. "Come on baby, don't fear the reaper." He began to sing through his respirator, voice scratchy.

Dr. Errin stopped suddenly in his walk down the hall as he heard the murmer of voices. Dr. Errin brought up his interlink and cranked the fans up a little higher to clear out the mustard gas. A warning flashed on the holoscreen of his interlink. "Haha! Factory standard safety ratings. Rich." He laughed as the fans wound at RPMs higher than ever intended. "I wonder how long it takes for ball bears in fans to go..." The doctor muttered aloud and then paused as he heard more muttering. Dr. Errin followed them to the best of his abilities.

Dr. Errin let out a thought hum as Physmatis contacted him and responded. "I think now might be a good time not press our luck and just withdraw. I'm following up on one more lead." the doctor said very seriously, attempting to triangulate the source of the noise.

Dr. Errin hummed an unsettling tune and stepped through the doorway and into the room. Dr. Errin's glasses slid down his nose a little as he witnessed a muscular, Japanese wonder walking around the bar and causing a great disturbance. The Doctor pushed up his glasses and cracked a twisted grin. "And they call me disturbed." He muttered and walked over the bar. The doctor paid absolutely no heed to the menu and, in fact, turned it off so it would not distract him. Dr. Errin's calculating eyes fell upon the nearest patron...

Dr. Errin rested two fingers upon amusedly curling lips as he observed the patrons, watching, listening, learning and waiting for the right moment. His interest seemed intense and unwaivering but not on any one single subject. The doctor's eyes were cataloging details like a machine and storing away information for later access. "Elementary, watson." The doctor mused aloud to himself but cast a gaze askance both directions as he suddenly became aware of his own voice and the fact that he was chewing on his finger. Carlyle did his best to assume a state of normalcy and thrust his hands into his pockets.

Dr. Errin perked up and zoned in entirely on the quiet conversation of miss Yukiko and Kale Tamblyn. Death was always a good way involve the good doctor. Dark eyes focused and Carlyle adjusted his spectacles once more.

Dr. Errin found himself fighting a scowl as their conversation grew quieter. His face twitched slightly and the doctor began to rummage in his coat until he procured a small device that looked like a white button to his lab coat. He then flicked it with his directly toward the two. It clicked on the floor and the doctor began to look around on the floor rather obviously as though he were searching for the lost button. Meanwhile, the doctor activated the button's receiver and began to gather data, pretending to look for the button.

Dr. Errin licked his lips anxiously. The lady was quite alone now and the good doctor had a moment to approach her. As Yukiko shouted to the women with the music, Dr. Errin turned and regarded Phinx before walking off towards miss Yukiko. The Doctor put on his best normal person smile and called out. "Pardon me, miss?" the doctor addressed.

Dr. Errin stopped short as the fight erupted. How utterly inconvenient... Dr. Errin's false visage faded immediately and he was left with a deadpan expression, calculating the outcome and possible reactions, interactions and reasonings. The doctor then moved over to a table and dawned an effectively amused face, squinting slightly as though he had been drinking, picked up an empty glass and let out a staggered laugh. "Fuckin' women, huh fellas?" He called loud enough for everyone to hear. "Come on! Cat-fight! I'm gonna put bets china-doll! SHe looks like she could whip out some kung-fu!"

While the distraction was at its height and Dr. Errin seemed the least likely to do anything, the good doctor immediately gained a stoic composure and whipped the shot-glass he held in his hand at Phinx's back. As soon as the glass left his hand he had procured a tiny little thing that looked like an air-injector with a pipe attached and leveled it in a waiver stance (like a pistol). The doctor waited for the opportune moment and seemed to be waiting for an opening on an easy part of the body to hit. Right now he was aiming at her lower back. The dart gun made a high pitch wuff as he sent a sedative sailing toward her.

He gestured at the body on the floor who was contorted and motionless, but breathing. Afterall, the good doctor kept up on gang activity.
