0 · 1,153 views · located in Northern Main Street

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by XavierDantius32

Description

Drake is tall and slim with close-cropped black hair. His large eyes are emerald green, flecked with specks of obsidion black. His face his pale due to the large amount of time he spends away from natural sunlight. His taste in clothes has become a little garish, compared to the functional body-glove that he used to wear. Covering his torso, is a loose-fitting cream shirt, along with the shoulder rig for his handgun. Over this, he wears a burgundy double-breasted jacket, with a pair of internal pockets for knives or explosives. A pair of dark grey breeches cover his legs, with a broad leather belt encircling his waist. Hanging from this belt, is the sheath for an ornate long sword, and a variety of pouches for ammunition and the like. His preferred footwear consists of a pair of knee-high black leather boots.

Drake wears little jewelry, but around his tapering neck he wears a silver crucifix on a long chain. On his right hand he wears a simple gold band set with a single amythyst. Curling into his left ear and down his hollow cheek is the ear piece and wire mic for his communicator.

Personality

Drake is a rather complex rogue. He carries a mean, ruthless streak, but this is almost counter-balanced by a good, cultured upbringing. The short of it is, Drake will happily shoot you through the head from a few feet away, or stab your wife through the heart, but he'll offer you a drink first.

Equipment

Weaponry;
Orion Arms Naval Service Revolver; A throwback to his days in the Confederacy navy, this pistol has seen its fair share of bloodshed, but has spent many years languishing in the bottom of Drake's footlocker. It's sturdy frame and short barrel make it ideal for close-range fighting. It fires a powerful .45 round. Drake carries the pistol in his shoulder-rig, under his jacket.

Kronos Forge Custom Power-Sword; Drake's sword is easily older than he is, a Stern family heirloom, given to him when he enlisted. Like the service revolver, Drake cast it aside in favor of more practical weapons, but his more eccentric tastes called for a weapon that fitted his flamboyant new look. The weapon has a cruciform cross-section, with a 29" blade, and a single-handed hilt wrapped in black leather. Set into the pommel is a power-unit, connected to a pair of field-emmiters either side of the blade. These project a power-field, which allows the blade to cut through most things with apparent ease.

Armex E32 Sub-Compact Pistol; The E32 is a simple, semi-automatic pistol, small enough to be concealed in a boot-top or waistband. Its slim, smooth frame makes it an ideal backup weapon.

Akari Tactical Fighting Knives: These weapons are military issue, designed to cut throats and arteries. Drake carries two of the 6" knives, one sheathed in the small of his back, on his shoulder-rig, the other down the side of his left boot.

History

Drake led a happy childhood, deep within the Hundred Lions Confederacy. The Stern family were a naval dynasty that had been forged in the fires of the Unification of the Confederacy, and had persisted ever since. Consequently, the family was incredibly well off, Drake and his brother spent their days bounding among vast estates and grand houses, waited on by butlers, and schooled at the finest institutions.

The only real problem with his childhood was his brother, Absolution. He was a few months Drake's senior, and generally better than Drake at most things. This came to a head after an argument over a girl, when the pair were sixteen, which left Absolution with a knife-scar on his cheek, and Drake with three broken ribs, a broken nose and a split lip. This resentment built, as they both graduated from the Confederacy's top military academy, Absolution at the top of the class, Drake close behind him.

They spent a few years apart, serving on separate ships, leading equally dazzling careers. It was during this period, that Drake met the woman of his dreams. Arianne became his whole world, and the two were swiftly married. Problems started to emerge between the couple

Drake intoned trying to keep the note of anger out of his voice. He reached up with his left hand and drew his shock maul, activating it as he brought into the Kids field of vision. His raven hair flowed from his scalp, spilling down his back and shoulders. Drake was talking softly into the headset mounted communit that gave him a direct line to his ship; The Hinterlight. Following close behind him, also dressed in the tight fitting skin-suits were two brawny men, with shaven heads and crooked noses. The sleaves of the suits halted at their bulging biceps revealing heavily tatooed arms. Between them they lugged a chrome container marked with a yellow delivery tag marked "Refridge-Consumable/Alcohol."
