Drakus is a handsome yet devious man. He has a ring on his finger and a reputation for trouble.
Drakus is not a kind person to strangers, generally. The times he does show charm or grace are usually when he wants something. Confusion and anger rarely come to his face, which shows the severity of a situation in which he becomes visibly enraged. He often will go to great lengths in an act of deception and will continue a deception for as long as he believes he has control.
Drakus has somewhat a taste in company and has considers good company more valuable then the average person. His sometimes wreckless behaviour leads to true trouble as he seeks power and control. Amongst his vices are women in trouble (that he didn't cause), guilt and friendship. His false sense of nobility that he was brought up with oft demands he defend women. His guilt for his actions slows his progress to greatness. Those he considers friends he would fight for, endangering himself if need be out of a misguided sense of loyalty and comradeship.
He knows a good sword, but truly excels in research, absorbing any little piece of information he is dropped. While he fails to understand much of technology, he has a decent grasp on science and maths, though he often has a limited understanding of it's potential.
He pushes hard when there is something he wants, whether it is a skill to learn, a person to manipulate or an object to acquire. Failure is often not an option. He innately does not like vampires as something about biting and blood drinking makes him uncomfortable.
Soulshiver
An enchanted blade, with magic ensuring it shall never lose its edge or break, and giving any struck a feeling of cold right down to their heart when struck.
Cursed Daggers
Eight in total of four different curses. Slow, weakness, confusion and blindness.
Cloak
Drakus is never without a trusty, sturdy, magic resisting cloak.
Gnarled Staff
This staff is dark in nature due to some form of magic it is afflicted with. So poorly enchanted it is that it leaks magic into the open air, making it difficult to see Drakus own power through its haze and ultimately hiding his own nature.
Magic
Drakus control of magic extends to that of blue magic, mostly in the fields of frost and ice, but at times he can use water and mental magics. They allow him a wide array of versatility and adaption in combat to opponents who may be faster or stronger.
Shapeshifting
Drakus is capable of shapeshifting into a winged wolf, black of colour with a lone blue streak along the fur of his spine.
Drakus Flavaar has had an eventful life, mostly by his own hand. At a young age he lived with on his family estate, and towards the age of fifteen he was quite close to his brother Alrion and courting a lady named Elizabeth, who he became betrothed to. His father was a violent drunk, but had him trained under an old soldier friend from years past. When at the age of sixteen the threat of war loomed again, Drakus and his brother joined. Unfortunately during the war Drakus was captured and spent time among the enemy, Orcs. In his time there he came to respect their hearty attitudes and cockily gambled his own ransom in fair combat, and won. Free, he chose to join the Orcs war effort against his own people. When battle next came it was at the end of the day when the enemy had been routed that Drakus still found one foe, Alrion, who became enraged by his betrayal.
When the war ended the two returned home at the age of eighteen Drakus found his betrothed moved on. Feeling alone, he sought something other, and found something in the hills not all that distant from his home. The thing he found was the Corruption, an entity that promised him power in return for corruption others with an unknown substance. Jumping at the chance to give his life meaning (and at the promise of power) he accepted and sought his destiny. His father remained a drunk, and Alrion had taken to drinking and whoring with no care for their family legacy. Sickened, Drakus decided to kill them both, first killing his father while he was in a drunken stupor, then seeking his brother and stabbing him in the gut and tossing him into a lake.
Then he went off to seek his destiny in Wing City. However, fate would play tricks on him.
While spreading the Corruption he met the love of his life, Cinder, a demoness with as much life and fight as he. The two married sometime later in a humble ceremony of only close friends. Another twist to his life was the return of his brother, either through an inept attempt on his life or 'being saved by the goddess' as Alrion so claimed. Eventually the two made amends for their past, though they still remain cautious of each other. On his path of Corruption, Drakus took to manipulating those around him, especially their emotions, and caused an elf by the name Lumierre to fall for him. But feeling the burden of lies growing on his shoulder he eventually came forth to explain he had a love, and Lumierre left. Drakus met with death once, but Cinder brought him back, clearing the Corruption's energies from his body.
Cinder soon became scarcely seen, busy with her own matters of demons that Drakus was ill-suited to aid in, and he decided to spend his time to rebuild his families fortune and name. He took to breeding dragons, a fully functioning preservation and sales business. That was, until his wife showed up one day carrying a bundle in his arms and quickly handing it off. With his son Ezrael entering his life, things began to get complicated. All but a single father struggling to maintain a newfound business, Drakus only encountered more troubles as a remnants of the Corruption seemed to have trickled into his son, harbouring a dark spirit in the child.
Curiously, Elizabeth returned, having completed her college degree in animals, as an expert on dragons, a love the two had shared as children, and also returning was Lumierre, who Drakus invited out to aid in his business due to her natural talents. However as the year continued troubles mounted and the dark spirit within his boy slowly growing more powerful. Allies gathered on either side until eventually things came to a head, and in a violent battle with the assistance Lumierre, Alrion and several others and no other option given, Ezrael was slain.
It has been a long five years since Drakus first came to Wing City, and he has since remarried, this time to Lumierre. With her, he has had two children, Lysander and Annika.
