Description
Pic of Ed:
The Fullmetal Alchemist has amber eyes and golden hair that frames his face in the front and is tied back in the back with a braid, and he wears a vivid red jacket that (on him) goes to his knees, underneath which he wears a long-sleeved black shirt with white trimming that is fastened on by a metallic-looking snap and a black tank top underneath that with black leather pants and dark brown boots that appear to be strapped on. This outfit is usually accompanied by white gloves, which he usually wears in order to hide his automail right arm, although he also has an automail left leg starting mid-thigh and going downwards. (He's 5'6", but he'd never admit that to anyone.)
Pic of Al:
Alphonse, who is a year younger than his brother Edward but is slightly taller, has sandy blonde hair that is swept off to the right in the front and is pulled back into a ponytail in the back and his eyes are a light hazel color. He wears a blue jacket similar to his brother’s--a bright blue and goes to his knees with the peculiar symbol of his teacher on the back of it ((Player’s Note: Had to change some of the colors in Al’s outfit, the red jacket and a few other things are pretty much Ed’s signature thing.))--with a long-sleeved shirt with golden trimming and a black tank top underneath with black pants and black shoes, accompanied by a pair of gloves with transmutation circles drawn on the palms.
Personality
Edward is extremely loyal to his younger brother Alphonse, even to the point where he would sacrifice his own life in order to save his brother's. The two are practically inseparable--where one goes, so does the other...unless, of course, the two get into an argument. He also absolutely HATES being called any type or implication of a short insult--especially by those such as Roy Mustang, who is also known as the Flame Alchemist, or the homunculus Envy, who, for some reason, has taken to calling him a "pipsqueak"--and he wouldn't hesitate a second to let you know. (The only down side of this is that he'll yell it at you at the top of his lungs in the form of a rather long-winded rant.)
Underneath all of this, however, lies a heart of gold (which might explain why he's so short, although most blame it on the automail) that cares about anyone and everyone, although he probably wouldn't admit that. He's also quick to help anyone in trouble, often despite his better judgment and at the risk of his life, and is a true sweetheart.
Alphonse is essentially a calm young man who holds his older brother Edward in high esteem (as most younger brothers do) and would do anything for him, including sacrifice his own life to save his brother’s, and the two of them are almost inseparable--unless, of course, they get into an argument, but they always make up afterwards. He is usually the one who calms the elder Elric down when Ed gets called a short insult and is the peacemaker of the duo, resolving situations that would otherwise erupt into a fight in a more calm manner than would his brother. He is also the one that, whenever Ed happens to give up on something, is the one to encourage the elder Elric brother to keep going, even when the going gets tough.
He is often mistaken as shy because of the fact that he tends to stay quiet most of the time, but is not afraid to speak his mind to his brother if ever the chance comes (although this often results in arguments between the two, but that is to be expected with brothers). He strives to be as good of an alchemist as Ed and to be (almost) as outspoken as his brother is.
Equipment
Edward is usually armed with nothing more than his automail, his skills in fighting, and his extensive knowledge of alchemy. Alphonse is usually equipped with his fighting skills--of which, out of the two brothers, he is the better at--and his knowledge of alchemy.
History
Ed has a surprisingly dark background for someone as young as he is. His father, Hoenheim of Light, left when Ed was a mere four years of age, although fortunately Al was too young to remember, and due to this as well as a serious illness, his mother, Trisha Elric, died when Ed was eight years of age, Al having been seven at the time. The brothers attempted to bring back their mother not long after that, but instead ended up creating the homunculus Sloth, the act causing Al to lose his entire body and Ed to lose his left leg, and Ed then sacrificed his right arm in order to seal Al's soul into a suit of armor. Ed got automated armored limbs known as automail soon afterwards and applied for the military as a State Alchemist, with Roy Mustang's help. Ed and Al had originally both applied for jobs at State Alchemists, but Al eventually had to drop out due to the fact that he was a hollow suit of armor. A mere two days after Ed turned twelve, the eldest Elric became a State Alchemist, earning the call name of the Fullmetal Alchemist, and soon after set out to find the legendary Philosopher's Stone. They ended up succeeding and getting Al’s body back but Al lost his memory of having been in the suit of armor in the process, Ed getting it back later on.
So begins...
Ed and Al Elric Rai looked at Milo. "She's the automailer Ed told you about. She has a crush on Ed..." The last was said in a growl--it was obvious Rai didn't like her.
Ed sighed. "She's going to end up killing me with one of those wrenches."
Al blinked. "You could always sidestep it, you know, Brother."
Rai: 'Or I could block it with my automail and make her give me a free replacement,' she thought with a devious grin.
Ed and Al Elric Ed looked at Rai, seeing the devious grin. "What's with the look, Rai? You're not gonna do anything stupid, are you?"
Rai blinked. "Me? Do something stupid? When have I ever done anything stupid?"
Ed raised an eyebrow. "Uh, let's think...all the time?"
Rai: "I do not!"
Al sighed. "Stop it before you start bickering again," he told them just as the train stopped at the train station just outside of Risembool and they got off.
Ed and Al Elric Rai blinked. "Yeah, generally speaking."
Ed blinked. "She's nice most of the time, she just tends to like throwing wrenches at me for some reason," he told them as they started walking for the Rockbell house.
“
(you wanna be Winry or do I hafta?)
”
Ed and Al Elric Ed yawns as he and Al sit on the steps, Rai standing with her arms crossed nearby tapping her foot impatiently.
Ed and Al Elric Ed rapped on the door again. "Odd, she's usually home..."
Ed and Al Elric Rai's eyes narrowed as the door was opened...by none other than Winry.
Winry: "Oh, hello Ed, Al. who're the guys with you?"
Rai let out a growl as Ed replied, "They need the new automail...put the bills on my tab."
Ed and Al Elric Ed nodded as Winry led the five of them inside, Rai huffing slightly.
Ed and Al Elric Winry shook her head. "Nope, not at all."
Ed and Al Elric Ed shook his head. "You don't have to."
Rai continued glaring at Winry, who was already working on Noah's automail.
Ed and Al Elric Ed sat in a chair, Rai leaning against a wall nearby, and Winry gave Noah and Milo both substitute limbs so they could walk and then started on the automail.
Ed and Al Elric Winry thought a minute. "Well, considering how many limbs we have to make...I'd say about a week."
Ed and Al Elric would walk in, Ed as short as always and in his usual black-and-red outfit, while Al was in his suit of armor, clanking as he walked.
Al would spot Rai and poked his brother. "Ed, look! There she is!"
Ed would blink and turn to see Rai talking with Leon. "Aha!" he yelled out. "Rai! Where have you been?! We've been looking all OVER for you!"
Ed blinked at her before he sat down. "What's this all about?" he asked, blinking, as he leaned on the table and crossed his arms.
Al sat down as well and reached over to pick up and pet a random ca that had walked over to him.
Ed's eyes widened and he sat up some and almost snatched the pictures out of her hand, looking at them carefully with wide eyes. "Wh-Where is this?!" the elder Elric asked in a slightly shaky voice.
Al would look up from the cat and lean over to look at the pictures as well. "Brother, isn't that...!"
Ed didn't reply to his brother, just stared at them.
Ed would stare at the pictures for another minute or so before looking up at Leon. "It was..." He shuddered. "...It was just...a mass of limbs..."
Al looked at Leon. "It didn't look like Mom at all..."
[i]Ed continued looking at Leon. "A village south of North City, huh?" He seemed to be getting back to his usual self. "Huh...was there anything else you needed to tell us?"
Al blinked. "Why would they be around North City?" he asked curiously, still petting the cat.
Ed's eyes widened. "Th-They feed off of human SOULS...?!" he barely managed to get out in shock.
Al looked up, looking just as stunned as his brother. "Human souls?! But, that's..."
[i]Ed would still look shocked, but would nod at Leon. "...Thanks..." he said in a low tone, still in shock.
Al just blinked, still in as much shock as Ed was.
