Edna

"...Stop staring at me...Please...Or else..."

0 · 145 views · located in Wing City Town Square

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Verum Umbra

Description

Notice! The Enderman Mob from which this character is based off of is from the game Minecraft. Credit goes to Mojang where credit is due!

Tall, incredibly slim, and dark in attire, she seems rather frail, but she is anything but that. Wearing a shoulderless, black short skirt one-piece, with black leggings, it matches her obsidian colored hair and amethyst eyes. Her skirt has a collar that is lifted up and obscures the sight of her mouth. She is often seen holding a block of something, be it wood, stone, soil, metal, or whatever.

Personality

Edna often is withdrawn and introverted, not acting very social unless someone comes up to her. She can be docile, but if you look her in the eyes without her approval or stare at her too long, her reaction will be negative, and possibly hostile. She may open up once she trusts someone, but, until then, expect the cold shoulder from her.

Equipment

Except for the block of whatever she has at the moment, she relies more on her natural abilities rather than tools and such. Abilities include night vision, durability, surprising strength (how else could she hoist around some of those heavy blocks with ease?), and limited teleportation. A weakness she has is that water is an extremely harmful substance for her kind.

History

Whilst in The End with her kin, the female Enderman could only ponder what else was out there. She'd been to the block world and the Nether, but she was bored with the worlds she had seen. She wanted more. So, after a few days of contemplation, Edna finally decided it was time for a change. Grabbing a block, moving through a portal, and leaving, she awaited the world where she would be placed. Even after the change to a more human shape, she cared little. It was her time to explore and move forward in her life. One step at a time.

So begins...

Edna's Story

With a slight shimmer of violet dust-like particles, the pale skinned and tall female appeared in front of the door to Gambit's bar, looking up to the sign. Opening the door, she quietly stepped in, shifting a bit. Edna carried a block of some sort, looking to be made of granite or some sort of stone. Her amethyst colored eyes looked left and right before she stepped forward softly. "...."

Paying no mind to the screams and shouts behind her from the red man, she proceeded forward, disappearing with the violet dust, only to reappear a few feet away with the particles. Edna just wanted some distance from whoever this guy was. Stepping ahead, she walked to a booth and set the block down on the table with a resounding thud, giving an idea of just how heavy the block was. Sliding in and taking a seat, she shifted a bit and looked around. "...Huh...This isn't so bad..."

After a moment of waiting, Edna shifted and got up, hoisting the block she had and standing. With a sigh, she disappeared with a soft quivering sound and a large burst of the violet dust.

The tall and slim woman appeared once more in her track of short teleportation bursts, stopping when she saw two beings ahead. Grasping the block she carried tightly, Edna slowly inched forward. She was not sure of what was going on at the moment, and she felt it was best to be careful.

Stopping for a moment, she let the violet dust settle around her. Edna turned on her heel and swung her hips and the block she held back and forth. Where to go, where to go? The question was something she could only ponder.

After moving up and through the monestary with her limited teleporting for quick movement, she walked out and stepped onto the roof, walking forward slowly. Setting down her block, Edna moved forward and sat down on the block, looking out to the distant mountains. This world was so different from her own, and she loved it. "...I think I might like it here...I may stay...For a little while ...Longer..."

After a moment of staring out, she stood, a soft smile on her hidden lips. Leaning down and grabbing her block of stone, she turned and slowly walked back down the stairs, moving almost cheerfully.

Shifting a bit, she arched a brow, looking left and right. She was back in the Wing City area! Edna had moved in a circle in her exploration. Odd, but, she couldn't help but feel a little tickled.

Shifting a bit and standing, she looked at the door, tilting her head with that hidden smile. Edna had come back to the very place she started the beginning leg of an exploration. Keeping her hidden smile that way, shrouded by her collar, she stepped in quietly, granite block in hand.

Without any effort, the female seemed to simply coalesce into existence in an instant, a burst of violet particles coming off her person as she stood. A rather bland and uninterested look was in Edna's eyes, but she was actually feeling a great deal of vigor. Dressed in all black, matching her bushy obsidian colored hair. Her amethyst eyes peered down at the granite block that she clutched in her pale hands. Nodding once, Edna quietly wandered forward. It was nice to be in a new world, especially one so different from her own.

As Edna walked, she kept quiet for the moment, keeping a strong hold on the rather heavy block of granite. It was hard to believe such a tall and skinny female could carry something like that.

What caught her attention though was when she felt Conner watching her. It was something her kind didn't like; being watched and stared at. She knew instinctually that he had looked right at her, and she was prepared to turn and say something to him, but, when her gaze went to him, he was looking at another male. One who was stuffing his face with some sort of food. With a sigh, Edna shifted a bit, sliding into a nearby chair, in order to keep an eye on the two.

After a moment of pondering, Edna got up and grabbed the granite cube off the table at which she sat, turning and taking a step before she disappeared in that plume of violet dust.

After a few short seconds, she reappeared near Father Moriarty in the same manner she had entered Gambit's earlier. Standing carefully, she looked down to the male and tilted her head. Edna wasn't so ignorant as to assume that everyone that she came across was human just because they looked human. She was a perfect example. Speaking up, her lower, alto ranged voice ringing out in a somewhat bored tone. "...Are you really just a human...? ...And what the heck is a...'Vatican'...?" Edna's voice had almost an ethereal ring to it.

The uninterested and unchanging look in her eyes remained as it had always done, listening as he explained. Shifting a moment to get comfortable with the block, Edna tilted her head and waited. After Moriarty finished, she paused a moment to take it all in, before simply stating "...I don't get it..." He had lost her during the explanation, and she still didn't know what the hell he was talking about even if she did understand it.

When the male asked if she was new to this city, she gave a nod and responded accordingly. "Yeah...I suppose you could say that..." She shifted once more before glancing over to the nearby chair. Her eyes flicked up to the white haired male with only one foot cover on. Odd. But, turning her focus back, she glanced to the chair, then back to Moriarty. "Mind if I sit...?"

The female stepped forward, granite block in hand as she glanced left, right, and all around with her amethyst colored eyes. Edna had not seen Wing City in so long, and now she feared that she was lost. The female enderman didn't wish to believe it, wanting her sense of direction to not fail her now. But, the fact that she was lost was as plain and real as the sun on her bare shoulders. "...If I could find that Gambit's place...Maybe..." She pondered, looking around. Might as well wander some more until she found her way.
