Elaina Sullings

Wood Nymph

0 · 150 views · located in Oakwood Landing

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Leda

Description

Elaina is a wood nymph from the forests of Terra. She was born into a family of Nymphs much like herself.
She is one of the first in the Sullings family that speaks and communicates with others that are not her kind,
though she is not exactly familiar with all traditions known by other races. She is skinny with pale skin and long limbs.
Long curly brunette hair frames a face with large brown eyes, rosy cheeks and large cheek bones.
She is not vicious unless protecting herself, or others, aswell as being provoked.

She often wears long dresses that help her blend in with her surroundings in colours such as green, brown, or orange.
She will often have her hair pulled behind her ears or pinned up, though she has been seen with it down and basically
everywhere.

So begins...

A young women sat on a branch in an old tree, just over looking the bog. Flowers decorated her curly hazel hair. She looked over with bright brown eyes. She appeared to be quite happy, an obvious smile rested on her lips before she stood, balancing on the branch. She looked around before jumping to another tree.
As she gracefully jumped across the water towards the other tree, her actions resembled those of a wood nymph. She soon jumped from this branch to another, in hopes of perhaps entertaining anyone who could see her.
She soon picked a third branch to jump to, this one above the mucky water aswell. She tossed herself towards it, yet soon realized that she was off, and would miss the branch. An odd whistle sound escaped her lips, resembling a scream and she tried to reach out for the branch. She just barely grabbed it, and soon found herself dangling from the branch trying to pull herself up.

"A witch, an oracle, a guardian, even. I am many things, not any one thing," replied Saranna, hiding the bulk of her ten pale arms beneath the cloak once more. "I come for many things, however, nothing specific. I was told you were here, and that you were a strange thing, indeed. I ask, for now, only a talk. Tell me of the flame, and know I do not come here to claim it. I do not wish to disturb the peace of this glen." At least, not at this time. "Loa Racine. I will remember that. How is it that you came to be?"

As Saranna spoke, she noted, from the corner of her eye, the darting figure among the trees. The yellow, bipedal toad at her side followed the motion with a turn of his whole, round body, leaves crunching beneath his webbed toes. "My lady, there..."

"I see her, Toad. I hear her," spoke the witch curtly. She kept her eyes on Loa Racine. "Might that be an affiliate of yours?"

"Who's there?" Toad called out.

The old tree smiled and looked at the woman. She was indeed many things but she failed to see that she was indeed just a single thing. Fragile by nature that form was not as sturdy as an oak and she did not seem to claim the old blood like many did before her nor did she seem to be the fool that some have proven on countless times with the old wood.

"Ah, a witch who happens to be an oracle and the guardian of some thing unknown to me, a rather interesting set of titles one such as yourself carries but not unheard of." The old tree bellowed just to then take note of the small nature spirit rushing about on the leaves on high. "A conversation is nothing new to me but something I have missed. The fire which you see deep inside of my wood is the First Flame the Lords Flame, and it is what gives me life." The old tree opened his mouth wide so that the witch could get a better look at the roaring fires that sat deep within. "I was around long before men inhabited the forms they claim now and when everlasting trees and eternal dragons claimed dominance to the world you see before you. Though you do not try to claim my fire many have been granted a small portion of my life and even fewer have stolen it from me, such as one who lives in these woods right now." The old tree glanced in the opposite direction from which the many armed woman came just to then shudder slightly. "I have many guardians who protect me now but none such as the nymph who you are noticing. She is a regular but has little mind of her own to realize she has been playing upon my branches."

Lao Racine gave his limbs a good shake sending several leaves to the ground in hopes of shaking the nymph out of his branches and onto the forest floor bellow. "Out I say child of nature! Have some respect will you."

She squeaked as she was shaken from the branches. She landed quite ungracefull on her rear end and frowned "Sorry...i was simply having fun...I-I didn't mean to upset anyone, honest!" She stood quickly and looked around before running to a different tree and hoisting herself up onto the branches.
"I really do like being up in trees...makes me feel powerful. but i get trees mixed up...sometimes i just sit on the wrong branches" She grinned and shifted slightly in her new tree. She then looped her legs over the branch and swung down to be closer to the others.
"I don't recall seeing you around, Miss...Though i don't really pay attention to all the people walking in and out of the forest, that would be WAY too much to remember. but i'm sure good Ol'Loa here does. He's been around for some time, but his memory's probably just as old as he is." She giggled and swung abit on the branch "I'm abit of what some might call, an air head..."

Nexus was outside of his house, sitting on the front of his porch, waiting. For anything really, going back to the city was pointless, for it seemed that there was little to do at the moment concerning himself. He looked on, as the day went on from morning to noon, and saw what looked to be a frantic little thing running about. She didn't looked to be in a hurry, but didn't seem to have a destination either. Nexus wandered how a person would have wandered into the VERY protected little village he owned. Although 'very' was an understatement, and 'little' was inaccurate. He was still intrigued by the presence of what looked to a nymph of some sort. They were rather difficult to distinguish. Most nymphs just shared the height limitation. Not all shared any other specified features.

Nexus got up, wandering off from his large house that was one of kind, colored a gleaming white and cream. He jumped over his fence unnecessarily brandishing a front flip in the process, his hands in his pockets. He did this in a plain grey shirt, that fit tightly over his toned muscular frame. He was not overly large however, a fact that he was proud of, not too wide, not too tall. Besides the shirt, he had leather jeans on with two daggers strapped to each hip.

"Hey!" he called out to the nymph, removing his right hand from his pocket to wave. "You looking for something?!" Nexus began walking briskly in her direction of frantic haste.

She looked over at the man walking towards her, he seemed friendly, and thus she saw him as a friend, and friends must be like toys. "Oh goodie! a person to play with!" She giggled and began running away from him, hoping he would follow to continue what in her mind was a very fun game of tag. She ran down one of the roads in this apparent village, past others in a hurry to scurry away before he caught up. She new she wasn't particularly supposed to be in a village, or out of her forest for that matter.

She ran continued down the path, stopping at the end of it to turn around and make sure that the human was actually following. "Come and follow person! hehehe come catch me, it's a game, i run and you catch me, THEN you run and i catch you hehehe!" She called out, giggling with delight at the possible new play mate.
