Elizabeth Cate was walking by herself down the worn sidewalk of Main Street, her hips swaying in time to the music that pumped into her ears. A note rose from her lips, followed by more in perfect cadence with the tune of the evening. She smiled through the words, rainbow flats tapping the sidewalk as she danced, shuffled, and otherwise ignored the world around her. Clothed in a royal purple, long-sleeved shirt with a length of multicolored scarf wrapped around her neck, she looked like she was heading somewhere. The opposite was true. She was heading nowhere, and loved it.

Elizabeth Cate stepped into the bar, her earbuds pumping groovy classical music into her ears as she swayed her hips in time to the beat, her auburn curls bouncing with her step. At 19, she really had no reason to be in a bar, but she was bored, and social, and this place was full of people. It tailored to her needs. Now, whether or not anyone would talk to her was a different ball of wax.

Elizabeth Cate The skirt of her summer dress floated around the curve of her hips as she turned, looking for a place to sit, a person to talk to, anything that would keep her busy, flighty mind distracted.

Elizabeth Cate spied Cloasse hitting the books. Curious, she walked over to where the woman sat, peering over her shoulder for a second. A smile brightened her face. "Ooooh, that's a good one." she said, nodding to herself.

Elizabeth Cate stepped back, holding up a hand as her eyes widened. "I'm sorry." she said sincerely. Half-smiling, she took a seat next to her at the bar, resting her forearms on her knees. "The book I've read before." she added off-handedly. "It's a good one. . ." she put her smile back in place, wondering if she had picked the wrong bar patron to try and talk with.

Elizabeth Cate stepped into the bar, hazel eyes wide and curious as she tied her curly, copper-colored hair into a bun. She was missing a shoe, and one of her pant-legs was severely torn. "Mmm. I hate this." she mumbled, looking down at her bare foot.

Elizabeth Cate hopped on one foot over to Nox's table, plopping down in a seat across from him as she looked over the light scars on her calf. Old wounds. Old adventures. Dragging her infinity satchel up into her lap, she eagerly dug around in it in hopes of finding another shoe.

Elizabeth Cate looked up in surprise, her wide eyes round with the expression. Her lips formed a small 'o' as Nox gained her attention, and the look on her face indicated that she really hadn't been paying much attention to her table-mate. Tugging irritably at the ripped hem of her jeans, she blushed in embarrassment at her lack of manners. Normally she introduced herself to whoever she happened to be sitting with, but it was apparent the girl had alot on her mind. Brushing a bit of dirt off of her black tank-top, she uncrossed her legs and stuck her hand out, the satchel still sitting in her lap. "Apparently I'm invading on your privacy..." she said with a sheepish smile. "The name is Beth. . ."

Elizabeth Cate shook her head, smiling with pleasure at his well-spoken mannerisms. He reminded her alot of a friend who resided in her own realm. He had been kind, polite, chivilrous. It warmed her up to this man. Then again, Beth was the kind of girl who felt at home in any place. That was the case for any wandering learner. "Elizabeth, actually. Too many syllables. Beth is easier to remember." A gentle laugh followed this statement. "May I ask your name? I can call you 'sir' otherwise, or simply make up a name. I've had to do that for some of the characters that wander into this place." She shrugged, leaning back against her chair. "One learns to adapt and improvise in this place."

Elizabeth Cate blinked, clapping a hand over her mouth. "Oh god, you did didn't you?" Her hand slid over her face, a grimace of embarrassment coloring her features. "Nox. I'm very sorry. Your name is Nox, and I'm a fool." She smiled wanly, dropping her hand in her lap and sighing. Too much thought. Deadlines were such a drag. "Quite a title." she remarked, trying to recover from her serious social blunder. "Did you give it to yourself?" She was genuinely curious. She was a kleptomaniac by nature, hired to steal various artifacts from people to whom the items didn't belong, and used her adventures to establish an identity previously lost due to realm displacement. There wasn't a title sufficient enough to cover all of THAT.

Elizabeth Cate slipped into the bar, as silent an nondescript as the candles that burned in the candelabras that hung along the walls. Smiling, she closed the door softly behind her and slipped over to the bar. Being normal in this place was bad. Really bad. With nothing superhuman to protect you...well...you died really fast. Elizabeth was one of those unfortunate girls who had a quick wit but not really quick reflexes.

Elizabeth Cate stepped into the bar as quickly and sureptitiously as she could manage. She was cold, shivering from the snow outside since she was inadequately clothed. In naught but a pair of jeans and a loose-fitting blouse, she certainly looked out of place, but couldn't offer an explanation as to why.

Elizabeth Cate glanced over at Kazen Horne as he flew into the bar, her brow rising in question. An Irish-woman herself, but far more considerate than her male counter-part, she found herself staring at him longer than necessary, her easily distracted thought-processes zeroing in on his behavior. Arrogance and confidence, two things she distinctly lacked. Shrugging, she rubbed her arms furiously and walked up to the bar counter, a sigh on her lips. "Confused..." she muttered under her breath, her eyes closing briefly.

Elizabeth Cate took notice of the young woman in a rather distressing, prostrated position on a table not too far from where she was standing. Turning about curiously, Liz made her way over to Elianna, her brow furrowing in concern as she bent at the waist to have a better look at the woman's face. "Is something wrong?" she asked softly, confusion and concern clearly marking her tone. Liz was a gentle creature by nature, mightily curious, and a wonderful actress...

Elizabeth Cate watched in confusion as the woman with the staff miraculously disappeared before her very eyes. Stepping back, she scratched her head, rubbing an arm distractedly as she turned on her heel and perceived a blind woman walking into the bar. Her first inclination was to help the other, but then...she fancied that she knew the person.

Elizabeth Cate as such, knew that the woman would neither care for nor appreciate her assistance. Tapping her toe in contemplation, she seated herself at a table (rather, on the table) and watched the woman curiously to see if her previous conjecture was correct.

Elizabeth Cate got brave. Despite the blush in her cheeks, she raised a hand in a useless wave. "Lainy?" she called across the bar, raising a brow in question which, she realized the moment she did so, was also useless.

Elizabeth Cate jumped to her feet, ignoring Kazen and running over to Lain. Hesitating, she tapped the woman's shoulder, standing directly in front of her. "It's, uh, me. Kris. Kristen. You wouldn't know that though. Cuz I don't think you ever saw me in real life. I mean, oh, fuck. I didn't realize that...I'm going to shut up. I've already inserted one foot and...damn..." she placed a hand over her mouth and sighed. "Hi, Lainy. I think you know me. I know you, which could be weird, but whatever..."

Elizabeth Cate blinked. "No, Lain. Not the prostitute. Well...I mean, I very well could be if I wanted to. But I don't. So, in reference to your question. No." she pursed her lips.
