Elizabeth McCarthy

Former Citizen and Teacher of Rapture and 'Big Sister'

0 · 938 views · located in Canti's Diner

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Rulke

Description

Name: Elizabeth McCarthy

Age: 27

Occupation: WCPD Cop

Partner: Jenna Crespo

Appearance in Armour:

Appearance out of Armour:

Personality:
Elizabeth was an aristocrat in Rapture and actively taught in one of the primary schools, she was well-liked if at times considered little harsh. Although outside of this she was addicted to plasmids. Her fate may have been different if it was not for being noticed and chosen for the Big Sister project, she was not the first nor the last, but somehow maybe due to plasmids she was injecting into herself outside school hours, she kept some of her kindness and generosity when she was changed forever into guardian of the Little Sisters. She is at times volatile but has a caring compassionate side despite her dark and terrifying appearance.

History:
Before New Years 1958, Elizabeth was a teacher until they changed her, during that time she subscribed to teachings of Sofia Lamb, finding her philosophy more realistic than the so-called pretension or idealistic bullshit, Andrew Ryan would have them believe.

Skills:
Stab: A Big Sister's basic attack. When at melee range, she will jab her ADAM syringe into the player, dealing a high amount of damage.

Charge: When at a distance from the player, a Big Sister will run towards Delta at a high speed, dealing minor damage and minor knockback, as well as temporarily disorienting the player.
Fire Barrage: Occasionally, a Big Sister will fire three large exploding fireballs in quick succession, dealing high damage.

Telekinetic Pummel: Occasionally, a Big Sister will use an advanced form of Telekinesis to lift every nearby object around them, pull them towards her and fire them at the player, with the amount of damage depending on the size of the object. If the object is large enough, it will push the player back, temporarily disorienting them.

Drain: When low on health, Big Sisters will run towards a wandering Splicer, impale them with their ADAM syringe and drain their health. This gradually recharges the Big Sister's health, but leaves her vulnerable. Attacking her while she is draining a Splicer will cause her to drop her victim, killing the latter in the process.

Teleport: Big Sisters possess a unique version of the Teleportation Plasmid used by Houdini Splicers. The energy ripple seen when they disappear is purple as opposed to red, and they can teleport much farther. They are seen using this ability in a handful of scripted situations throughout the game, and they may also use it to reach the player from a distance during battle.

So begins...

With no countermeasures deployed to prevent the shot's impact, the superheated bolt of energy would sear into the Child's body armour, most likely cutting through it like paper and continuing on to blast a sizeable hole in his leg, through muscle and bone alike. The shot had been aimed to cripple the child, make continuing on so painful and difficult as to be impossible.

The return fire continued to batter away at Aiedail's shields with minimal impact, and her close proximity to the child left her soaring past the turret grenades before they had even landed. The flare once again impacted her vision, but as before, she had plenty of other methods of detecting her surroundings.

In the event that her shot had not disabled the Child, she continued on in her pursuit largely unimpeded, on the verge of catching him. She reached out to grab at his arm and prevent his escape through the gate, but if he avoided it, she wouldn't waste any time. Aiedail dived straight into the gate after him, funnelling power to her shields in anticipation of what might be waiting on the other side.

Renée had made it halfway down the street when a group of demon creatures suddenly appeared in front of her. Stepping backwards, she started to reach for some weapons, but immediately realized she was still in a dress. Swearing beneath her breath, she didn’t even have a chance to turn around and run before one of them had wrapped his fingers around her wrist. The demon was surprisingly strong, and LeBeau screamed out, but it would do no good since no one was around. Just about to kick at the thing holding her, she stopped when he brought out one of Gabrielle’s family photo. It dawned on her that these were the dark ones that Gabby called occasionally. Why where they out and where the hell was she?

“Gabrielle in trouble. Went to SpacePort place. Big danger. Mother assassin.”

As she was deciphering their broken sentences, the demons disappeared and she knew that things were worse than she could ever have imagined. Taking off like a shot, she leapt into a nearby car and quickly hotwired the thing. Speeding down the street, she headed for the Spaceport and hoped she wasn’t too late. As she neared the port, she noticed a taxi just chilling nearby and it took a lot to keep from slamming into it due to her excess speed. As soon as the car was a stop, Renée ran into the warehouse. Explosions sounded nearby and she immediately recognized them as a trademark of the LeBeau family. That definitely meant Gabrielle was nearby. She almost stopped when some strange noise sounded within the warehouse and she could have sword the floor was vibrating. Just what in the world was going on?

Finally spotting her sister, Renée took off like a shot towards her and glanced up at a figure standing on top of some crates. He had a weapon and as he fired at her baby sister, the only person that ever truly understood her, the eighteen-year-old released a loud scream. Gabrielle meanwhile was just about to throw the other three cards when she heard a scream. Glancing around, she spotted her sister seconds before the two collided in an ungraceful heap. What she hadn’t realized was that the assassin was firing on her and that her protector once again protected her from imminent death. Wiggling free, Gabrielle gently rolled her sister over and gasped at the sight of blood pooling from Renée’s chest. The sole bullet that managed to strike flesh had made its home deep inside of her chest. Tugging her dying sister behind some crates for safety, she buried her face into Renée’s neck even as the flare blinded her a moment.

“Damn it… you stupid… why did you have to do that…?”

Coughing, Renée couldn’t help but smile stupidly at her younger sister. How could she explain that she made a silent vow to ensure that nothing would ever happen to Gabrielle as long as she was alive? There were so many times when the two were little that Renée would end up hurt while keeping her sis safe, but it was all worth it. Squeezing Gabrielle’s hand, the older LeBeau coughed up more blood before wincing in pain. She had so much to tell the kiddo, but there just wasn’t enough time.

“Told you, I’d always protect you, Gabby… I just wish I could have saved mom too… Please don’t try to get vengeance… Dad can’t handle losing us all… Promise me, stupidface.”

“I promise, NeNe…”

Sobbing, Gabrielle held her sister tight as the last breath left her body. Glancing up just the killer disappeared into some portal of some kind and was quickly followed by the pursuing officer or whatever the other female happened to be, Gabby made no attempt to follow. Renée was right. There father was already in pretty bad shape because he lost Tayrn and now his oldest daughter was dead. Who knew how he was going to react to the news and if she died as well, he probably would go completely insane. Hopefully the other woman managed to catch the assassin. However, she knew that if he ever showed his face around these parts again, she would not hesitate to break him into a million pieces. Still crying, she picked up her deceased sibling and walked out of the warehouse to the cab who took one look at the dead body and slid out of the driver’s side door and opened up the backdoor for Gabby. Once she was situated, he drove into town silently and stopped at the cemetery so that she could bury Renée beside Tayrn.

“…Now you two can watch over us together… Love you both…” Now to find her father and break the news…

The Silent Child had been wounded by the energy bolt, but between his training, the adrenaline, and the fact climbing took more arm strength then leg strength, he had not noticed. However, it did cause him to accidentally shift some boxes ajar, since he could not climb as effectively still.

So when he ran forwards, not noticing the pain he was in, the movement of his force combined with some of the boxes becoming ajar caused them to start falling shortly after he dived into the Stargate. He was grabbed by the robot, but most of him had made it through the stargate already, and the force of the falling boxes that would hit both of them would be more then enough to cause him to fall through, along with her if she did not move away and release him.

If she, or anyone else went through the stargate, they would find themselves traveling light years to another planet. A planet at the very edge of the Galaxy in fact.

Aiedail jerked her arm back as soon as she grabbed his leg, pulling the Child upwards and away from the stargate as she soared over it, both her own momentum and her incredible strength contributing to dragging him away from the escape route. A swing of her free arm slammed into the closest box that was descending upon them, knocking it away with barely a flinch. Her speed allowed them to easily clear the rest before they hit.

She kept her iron grip on his leg, dangling him through the air until they had reached the other side of the warehouse, at which point she lowered herself to the ground, making to grab his arms and pin him.

"You're under arrest!" Aiedail yelled, before delivering a powerful disabling electrical pulse into his body in an attempt to incapacitate him.

As he pulled him out, he slammed another Mag Lock on her since she was in so close of proximity, to locker her and all her systems down again, which would cause them both to then fall into the Stargate.

(Sorry if its so short for so long I had, I was running out the door and could not think of what else to put on here anyways)

The Silent Child was not cleared from the Stargate, because the time to take out the device would be under a second, as he was trained to have fast reflexes and such. Therefore, even if Aiedail managed to make it out, he still would, and the Stargate, detecting his device making it through, would cause it to deactivate about 2 seconds after he went fully through.

The unusual speed of the Child's movements exceeded what Aiedail would have judged normal for a human being. As a result, she immediately assumed some form of attack was imminent. She conjectured that the assassin possessed superhuman strength as a result of his being able to fully bend his body whilst being thrown around by his ankle with incredible momentum pulling at him in the opposite direction of the movement.

Furthermore, she recognised the device being utilised. The mag lock that the silent child had utilised earlier was an irritating inconvenience. When it was latched onto her leg, it immediately made flight difficult - but, after having flown with the weight of an entire starship's worth of debris pulling at her just weeks before, it wasn't something she was entirely disabled by.

All of this thought happened in the moment that it took the silent child to bring his device up. By the time it made contact with her leg, she was already bringing her other arm around. The plasma weapon that was already formed upon it from her shot earlier discharged, and the bolt of superheated plasma burned straight through the device as it had earlier. She barely lost a foot of height.

Straight through, and onwards towards the child's body. They remained hovering on the precipice of the stargate, just beyond its reach, and Aiedail sure as hell wasn't about to let the assassin go.

"Cease any resistance!" she yelled, "Any sudden movements will result in my utilisation of lethal force!"

Growling in fury the Big Sister watched all this as it took place, keeping close eye on the proceedings before finally speaking, "He's mine." with that she vanished and appeared nearer to them both. Then again, then again and finally close enough to hear them both breathing, "He killed her, murdered her and you expect me to ignore this in favor of your qualms, your laws, I was meant to protect her, I was meant to protect all who died here today... now look another dead by his name, and look how he longs to escape, I say give him his escape, his final escape, end the fools life completely." her eyes could be seen glowing through the diving helmet and their was clear anger in her voice, "First though..."

The Big Sister turned to the star gate and crying out in distress, she tore it up the monolith structure tearing the tendons and flesh as she kept pulling and tugging it from the wires, not caring the pain and clearly struggling, but just able to wrench it free of it's wire and more, thus the disconnect took place and wormhole shattered, leaving no escape, for him, "End of the road..." with that Elizabeth collapsed her body put through the equivalent of 50 years of intense labor all at once, she was lucky to be alive, even with the enhancements...

The Silent Child looked around. He knew his orders. He knew what would be waiting for him. His options: Escape, and his sister lives, Die, and his sister lives. However, if he was captured...they might kill her. Or worse. And if he did not kill himself, then they would anyways. Additionally, he questioned the Big Sister's sanity as Stargates do not have wires.

In the meanwhile, Galvin Moriarty had been walking by the spaceport when he saw the battle scared Space Port, and the turrets no one ever bothered to make sure they were all destroyed. There were like, 5 injured civilians, so he took out his Mark V Handcannon and finished them off. That's when he noticed the trail to the warehouse. He followed it, only to come across an assassin who looked...well, dark, but it didn't help he didn't see his face. So he tried to focus his power of empathy on him. And he could sense fear. Either the cops were afraid of him, which was unlikely, or he was afraid of something or another. Maybe the cops, but from the battle he saw, it looked like the Silent Child could have taken them both out if he had actually wanted to, but instead tried not to. Which was unusual for an assassin. The only reason Galvin knew this was because he was an Ex-Soldier, and he had seen Assassins operate before. And many of them were not as well armed as this one.

He then felt a sense of giving up, as the Assassin was about to pull out something, so he used the auxiliary firing mechanism, which is an electric shock that stuns the nerves and renders someone unconscious.

The assassin felt something hit him. "No...NO!" he screamed in his mind, but he could not speak. Everything went black.

Galvin looked at the Assassin, and then the cops. He went over to the Assassin, and revealed what he was about to do. A Nova Bomb, portable and deadly. It would have wiped them all out, and half of the Spaceport. But this Nova Bomb was in a special container that not even the most advanced sensors could penetrate. "Thought you needed some help there..." he noted.

He then added "I had no choice, but I don't think that was everything. I am an empath. Before he I felt him gave up, I felt fear...for something. I don't think it is safe to bring him out of this warehouse. If you hired an assassin, would you just let him be caught if you knew he was in danger? I think it might be best to not even report him captured yet, unless you want someone to hire mercenary kill teams to make sure he dies..."

"Just to base my experience off as a soldier. He was afraid of something, and it wasn't himself, and considering what I saw, it wasn't you either. But, that means his would-be killer is likely outside waiting for us, and I doubt I would be able to sense him out of thousands of people nearby. And that is if he is not going long range or orbital strike".

"Names Galvin Moriarty, by the way".

(This was the only way this would work out best RP wise following IC logic, hope ya don't mind)

Aiedail narrowed her eyes at Elizabeth, "As an Officer of the Wing City Police Department, you are required to uphold and respect the laws of the city!" she noted. As the Big Sister went on to destroy the stargate, however, it seemed that she was no longer in any fit state to try and murder the child.

As the child went limp in her grip, Aiedail turned to face the new arrival, blinking at him. She lowered herself to the ground as he approached, watching his movements warily. "Your assistance is appreciated, civilian." she stated, smiling.

It irritated her that she had not identified the bomb. She would likely have survived the blast, but the damage to the port would have been immense. It was questionable whether she could have identified what the thing was before the Child had a chance to activate it.

"This warehouse is not a secure location," the android went on, "Should you be correct, he would be safer within the security of a protected prison cell, guarded by the police department and national police agency. The Terran Navy fleet are currently in orbit, thereby making an orbital strike a near impossible task."

She knelt, swiftly cuffing the unconscious child and searching him for additional dangerous devices or weapons to remove from his person. "I intend to swiftly transport him to the police department, at which point my superiors will decide the course of action to take. It is not my place to decide to publicise a suspect's capture. He will be safe in my care, in the meantime."

(Oh, side note to all, while I am waiting for Rulke to post, I want to point out that A: A Stargate is not that easy to break, and would require a tremendous amount of force to do so, and B, it would result in an explosion that would end up killing all characters present when it was broken, so I am simply just saying you knocked it over which deactivated it).

(EDIT: Since Rulke wont budge, I have to write the following post. I imagine what is about to happen next will be very unexpected, but I have done research and thsi was discussed in OOC for at least 30 minutes. However, in the interest of cotniuing the story, there will be something I can offer...oh, and sorry, but in order to not screw over some post, I have to write Rulke's post as if it happened just right now after mine and Script's)

The Destablizaed Stargate began to explode, an explosion which would engulf the entire Spaceport. Galvin ducked out of the way with the Silent Child who he picked up, and who hit something in his pocket. The explosion would not only take out the entire spaceport, but spread radiation to the surrounding area as a result of the explosion. This explosion would break through any and all defenses, so nothing could survive.

At least, that's what they thought. Galvin kept the child's cloak, which was much larger then he thought, around them, after he realized what it was. The cloak was explosion, fire, and proof to various other things (This was mentioned days/weeks ago, either in OOC or IC), protecting them both who huddled in it and behind some cover of a wall. The cloak was made of some sort of strong, expensive fiber, clearly someone wanted to keep them alive, the the cloak was severely hot and could not take the whole blast. They were knocked really far away from the explosion, and Galvin took most of the impact because he hit the ground. Luckily, he was a soldier, so he could take it. However, he could feel himself aching and bleeding a little, and his left leg was broken. He thought some ribs were broken too, but he was in so much pain he could not tell. The Child, because he took most of the damage from the knock back, was not as hurt, but they both had burns. The cloak was the only reason they lived, and the fact he was quick to react. Anything that had been at the Heart of that explosion would have died instantly. Several Starships were damaged and knocked over. he could see others dead around him.

Not again...I can't let this happen again... He looked down at the child. "I need to get us to a hospital...". The Silent Child's Signal Hijacker was momentarily damaged in the explosion and the force of the landing, so people could call for help. A lot of stuff was damaged. When he touched his arm, it appeared to be broken as well. He could not stand up on his own.

He got out his communicator, and called 911. "Hello...we need help...the Spaceport just blew up I think...there was an explosion". He looked at the child, both of them in too much pain. Cries being heard all around them. But one thought came into his mind about the child. Now, who has the money and resources to give you something that only certain branches of the Pandorian Alliance's military use...

The explosion began, white hot waves of stargate undulating outward. Light itself knocked space ships on their side, entangled in one another instantly as the molten heat engulfed them. It wasn't just heat, though, flames licking at the blast radius even before the shine of destruction faded. Though many buildings nearby weren't flattened due to the sheer force of the space port managing to catch most of the blast, pieces of rogue space port caterwauled at the structures. Fires shot outward, some catching on to other buildings. An orange glow cast outward, smoke rising from the blast zone.

It's hard to say when the stargate ended and when Star Gate began to exist, but it was somewhere between the Big Sister and the call for help. Suddenly everything was white, then yellow, then orange. It was clear nothing in the immediate vicinity had lasted the impact of whatever had been.

Me?

Without even realizing it, a thought formed. The thought would realize, in due time, that it was attached to a form. A small form, a form that wasn't entirely there. A form which would be called Star Gate. For now, Star Gate sat where a stargate once was, not feeling much of anything at all. Star Gate wasn't sure of much besides essential existence. There was far too much chaos to discern the luminescent form of a not-quite child from the dancing fires and white smoke, even for the child.

The cataclysmic blast from the stargate had caused Aiedail to lose her grip on the silent child for long enough for Galvin to grab him and take cover beneath his cloak. The force and intensity of the blast cast the android backwards, though much of the energy was absorbed by her shielding.

When the smoke cleared, she pulled herself from the wreckage, battered and broken - much of her outer shell had been decimated. With each unsteady step she took, however, the damage seemed to be repairing itself. The smart nanoparticles that formed her were refinding their places and reconnecting themselves together. Before long, she had largely recovered full functionality, albeit looking a little worse for wear. Full repairs would have to wait until she could return to her ship.

The android surveyed the damage to the spaceport in dismay, wondering if the WCPD officer would have survived the blast. She was probably in trouble, if she had. Her scanners kicked in, and she quickly located the position of her target and the civilian that had appeared on the scene just prior to the explosion.

With her communications now unjammed, she patched herself into the WCPD frequencies that were going wild after the explosion. 'This is Aiedail of the Terran Militia. The explosion at the spaceport was the result of the destruction of a Stargate! The situation which led to that destruction is currently contained, but I would like to request the immediate extraction of a high-priority suspect to receive medical attention and be placed in a secure holding. This will enable me to remain here and dispense aid to the civilians affected by the blast.'

Aiedail finally turned to Galvin as she approached. "Are you alright?" she inquired, "I'm astonished you were able to survive that blast. I must examine that cloak at a later date to ascertain the technologies behind it!"

Jim was waiting for something that would distract people from noticing him walking through the spaceport with his cargo. If he was going to get it to sol tower he needed he needed a distraction. As soon as the explosion happened he knew that his distraction had arrived, Shadow was waiting for something like a cargo ship drop off so that he could just stroll along beside them as if he was apart of their operation. He had gotten more than he asked for.

As he landed he found an area which had not been touched by the blast, behind the crowd of people surrounding the explosion debris. Jim simply popped out of his ship with a large backpack, locked his ship up then moved in between the crowd to ensure no security cameras could follow him, nobody knew who he was but he knew it wasn't just security who had access to the cameras.

Jim noticed that an emergency exit door had been blown off, he looked through the door and noticed the exit had been demolished by the explosion and the corridor had caved in. 'damn' he thought. Jim made his way through the crowd again and noticed an exit that was being used by emergency teams and exiting crowds. Jim moved quickly and smoothly into a group of people leaving.

As soon as he got out of the spaceport he realised the masses of police, keeping his cool he just acted like any other person leaving the port pulling down his hood so that he that didn't look suspicious. He then entered the crowd looking at the blast pulling up his hood once again. 'wonder what happened here' he thought. Jim looked at his watch, 'I better wait and find out, they wont pull me up now i'm on the other side of the space port. Plus there is no way i'm leaving my ship without knowing that this place won't blow up again'

Jim felt the weight of the object in the backpack start to get to him, it was a not a huge parcel but big enough for Jim to have to use a large backpack to hold it in. He never asked what he was carrying just where he needed to take it. ' This better not take long' he thought.

There was something here and there was something there, though telling the differnece between the two places was something another all on itself. Still, they pulled at her. Her, yes? She was a she, not just an it, and everything around her was on fire. Many, many unfamiliar shapes were licked by the flames. Silently she sat, watching, existing, being. It wasn't until she heard herself breath that she realized she was in fact here. Not just watching, but a part of whatever was going in.

Sounds of movement, and a pattern of sound. Voices, the word came from nowhere and she embraced it. Voices carried around and towards her, but they weren't for her. She ignored them and continued to sit and watch. Then, she stood, without realizing she could. Looking down, she was't suprised to see a body, but didn't necessarily expect it. Did the sight please her? What was pleasure anyway?

She breathed again, a small figure standing at the core of the destruction. She didn't know that. To her, she had been birthed into a world of fire. It was quite nice. Warm, welcoming. If it wasn't for the troubled shouts every now and again, this would be a heaven. What was heaven?

Galvin looked at the child, then at her. "This is big. And I doubt you would want to, the cloak's technology would probably fry your processors if you tried to analyze it". He took deep breaths, exhausted and tired from the explosion knocking him back. He heard some ambulances approaching. "This tech he has. Some of it is stolen Pandorian Alliance tech, Rift Grade, Military Grade, High Tier stuff. Its illegal to have outside the Pandorian Alliance without a permit. You could call any branch of the Pandorian Alliance, but likely, you will get redirected to one of three departments. The Taskforce, the Pandorian Service of Intelligence, and the Pandorian Service of Trade. The first two would be more likely".

He looked at the child now. "This level of tech is some of the best well tracked and protected. IF someone has their hands on this...well, the leak should be the least of your worries. There is some Pandorian military tech that they outlawed for very good reasons. If they have access to it...then there is no imagining what they might have planned".

Galvin looked at the sky. He muttered to himself "This is why I retired". But to be truthful, he left because of what happened to his wife, and because he could never make it up to his daughter. He left for a new beginning. He looked back at the child. Your a victim in all this. Someone is making you do this. I can feel it. Now I just need to prove it.

"The advice is duly noted, sir!" Aiedail said, nodding her head. "Though I lack much information on this Pandorian Alliance, I will be certain to bring it to the attention of the Terran National Government, who may be able to submit an inquiry regarding its possible distribution."

She smiled, apparently still in good spirits despite the explosion. "I shall take the suspect into custody, now, discretely so as to avoid interference from those who sent him." Aiedail moved to fasten a pair of energy-cuffs to the unconscious child for the sake of security, before lifting him in her arms. "I will transport him personally. Your assistance is much appreciated in this matter."

Of course there were other people within the diner, many variations. Then again the entire of Wing City seemed like a magical or scientific crossroads. You could literally find anyone in this place if you searched hard enough. This of course would highlight the fact that figure clad in ancient victorian diving suit although little more lithe was sat away, she appeared to be shaking clutching in her thick bronze gloves a picture, a photo. A closer look would show a woman with ivory hair smiling with another person dressed in a cop's uniform her arm around the other woman. It was a shopping mall type image, from those photobooths. Quiet, very faint sobbing could be heard, from the figure, her helmet drowning out most of the noise. On her shoulders was a very ragged WCPD jacket, on her shoulder was the insignia with her name, Officer McCarthy.

It appear ancient and state this figure was clad in what appeared to be a diving suit brought more questions to the fore. Everything about her appeared miserable, in fact it was hard to tell what her expression was, only a red glow lit up her visor on the helmet, the helmet which like the rest of the ensemble likely weighed a great deal. Yet she held it up and appeared to be able to handle what most her size and proportions would rarely be able to carry.

Vercerigo walked through the doors, quickly scanning all he saw as he headed directly toward the bartender. He noted the sad looking diver and frowned. He wondered whether he should try and help.
He sat down, gestured to a bartender and said, "Sir, I'll have a glass of pinot noir if you have it. Tell me, have you seen a young lady by the name of Alice Raine?"

Allison stared at the figure that sat a few seats down from her, and upon noticing the WCPD shield, smirked. "Mind if I sit with you?" She asked as she walked over to the rather unusually dressed person.

It took a few seconds before a voice, small and sad sounding escaped her suit, "You are welcome to sit anywhere... although I can't promise I will be amazing company..." her hands lifted up revealing bronze guantlet's like the rest of her costume. Nonetheless those hands gripped the helmet and slowly tugged at the fittings of the helmet. Once pried loose she lift it off completely revealing a woman with raven blonde hair and eyes with an almost ethereal sapphire to them, seeming almost unreal or even dream-like. Nonetheless those eyes displayed wetness, visibly announcing tears, combined with her facial expression. There was an almost melancholy to her, something akin to a dream.

Lifting a mug she took a sip of her conconction before speaking, "E... E... Elizabeth McCarthy... Wi...W...W...---" before she could finish her composure collapsed and she burst into tears, the other guantlet gripping, no clinging to the photo. Now near enough, it was possible to see the other woman was different to Elizabeth... but they both appeared to be cops. Still as she sobbed now loudly, drawing attention from the diner.

Before when she cried her helmet had muffled those sounds, but now the waitress looked utterly shocked and approached over, with softness in her smile, "Honey, what is up? Perhaps you would love some of our pie. I promise it would bring smile to your lips?" hearing no answer, she turned to Allison, "Hun, what will you have? We have a lovely menu, just you ask and Ronald can cook it up no doubt dear."

Allison sat down next to Elizabeth, in an attempt to possibly comfort her if it came to it, judging from the girl's mental state. She sighed, and looked at her phone. I'm not a shrink, nor a negotiator.... Allison then looked at the waitress. "Oh, yes ma'am, I'll take a coffee black, and some flapjacks, if you can."

She then looked at the young lady. "Are you going to be okay, officer? I'm not from around here, but I can tell another officer in a heartbeat....though having the jacket certainly didn't hurt," she chuckled and pulled out her wallet, which showed her badge as Andesia Metropolitan Police Department.
