Short History: Emiko has always wanted to become a Pokémon trainer. When Professor Juniper gave her the chance to set out on her own adventure to become a renowned trainer, she was more than jumping at the chance to do so. Now she travels throughout Ruula in the hopes of collecting every single Pokémon in existence.

Favorite TV show: Koukan Talk! She just loves sprinkling Japanese words and phrases into her speech!

Now Emiko was getting slightly mad. She didn't want it to be a date but she did want it to be a date, too. It was confusing! She refused to consider it a date when obviously it was a date.

"If we were on a date you we would be holding hands but we're not. That's totally fine with me. And dinner sounds good too. And I only mentioned the theater because there's one here that has the pokemon put on a show instead of people. It's far better than seeing a lame movie," Emiko said. Again it was obvious that she considered it a date now, but she was not about to admit it!

"And I can pay for my own ticket. If you paid it would mean that we were on a date, which we're not even though we're doing the same things that people going on dates do," Emiko said, firmly.

It was at that moment that a squeaking cry sounded before the pair of trainers, as a small shape darted through the crowd towards them. "Cinccinooo~!"

The furry chinchilla pokemon - wearing a silky-looking white scarf over its fur - scampered around Alexis' feet, before deftly clambering the boy's trousers and shirt up to his shoulder. "Cin cin!" it exclaimed in apparent recognition. The squeaks it directed at Alexis' Misdreavus roughly translated to: "Hey, scarf-thieving ghost-sissy." before it stuck its tongue out.

"Cinnamon!" A voice called from further ahead amidst the crowd, "Get back here! Sorry, sorry, 'scuse me, coming through-"

Approaching them through the passers-by was a pretty young man with red hair. Teo smiled brightly as he recognised Alexis, waving his hand. "Lexi! Hi! It's been a while, hasn't it? I was wondering what had caught Cinnamon's eye."

The Cinccino hopped from Alexis' shoulder back across to Teo, who caught him neatly in his arms, then looked down at him with a tut. "Good catch, buddy, but try actually waiting for me next time. You're lucky I could keep up!"

Alexis chose not to be bothered with all the confusion and ambiguity. He figured he would just stick to his original words: "It is what it is." If it was a date, it was, and if it wasn't, it wasn't.

"Well, since you mentioned it, it's clearly something that you enjoy on dates," he observed wryly, extending his hand with a grin. "Shall we hold hands, Emiko?" Just as he said this, a bolt of silver scampered onto him. Alexis froze in surprise, slowly glancing at the Cincinno which was on his shoulder. "Haaah...Cinnamon?"

Alice giggled at the sight of her supposed rival, greeting the other pokemon. "Hey cutie! It's been a while. Besides, you admitted that the scarf looked good on me!" she exclaimed.

As Teo approached the pair, Alexis returned the smile and gave a nod. "Hey Teo. It has been a while. And you too, Cinnamon. But don't scare me like that next time, I would've probably looked really lame in public," he said, scolding the Cincinno gently.

"What're you up to here, eh, Teo? Well, besides the obvious." A glance and jerk of the head was directed at the amusement park.

For the third, or possibly the fourth, time Emiko turned bright red in a blush. If it was going to get her out of paying for a ticket to ride the Ferris Wheel then so be it! A half-pained groan escaped Emiko as she held onto Alexis's hand with her own sweaty one. She was nervous!

When Alexis stopped so abruptly, Emiko was tugged into a stop and she looked to see what had happened. It was a Cincinno! Wait... no... not just any Cincinno. It was Cinnamon as Alexis had stated. The girl's mouth dropped open in disbelief.

A voice called in the distance and as if someone had slowed down time, Emiko turned to seek out the familiar voice.

Stars erupted all around Teo and rose petals dropped from the sky in Emiko's daydream as she watched Teo rush over. His hair danced in the wind as he ran toward her. Emiko clasped her hands together and held them in front of her chest as hope swam in her eyes.

Something bubbled up in Emiko's chest and it exploded out of her.

The fan-girl squeal.

She brushed past Alexis as if he didn't exist and she swarmed up to Teo. "You're Teo Ashbrook! I'm Emiko Touko and it is a great honor to finally meet you! I'm a huge fan! I can't believe it's actually you!" Emiko's eyes rolled into the back of her head and she fainted.

Kit-Kit climbed out of the satchel, rolling it eyes.

Ohh dear. Ohhh dear.

"Ahahah," Teo ran a hand through his hair, blinking in amused bemusement at Emiko's ... enthusiastic reaction. "Hiii..." he began, only to see the girl's eyes roll backwards. The redhead took a quick step forwards to catch the girl before she collapsed, sighing to himself.

"You uh, you've made some interesting friends, huh Lexi?" Teo flashed the other boy a grin, shaking his head. "It's been a while since I've met a fainter... Ah, I'm sure she'll come around soon. Here, help me set her down on that bench over there?"

He jerked his head towards a wooden bench off to the side of the walkway and with Alexis' help (if he gave it) placed Emiko down on it in a seated position. "I was just here meeting with Elesa, chatting with her about the gym challenge and about old times. I wasn't expecting to run into you again. Sorry I haven't called, I've been really busy..."

Teo leaned back on one foot, glancing between Emiko and Alexis. A knowing smirk formed on his face, "Oh, I hope I'm not interrupting anything roomaaantic~, am I?"

"Ladykiller, Teo, and you don't even like 'em. Look at you," Alexis joked. "I got your back." He reached over to help Teo drag Emiko to the bench, grunting softly at the exertion. "Maybe you should carry smellingsalts just to wake those fainters back up, eh?"

He shook his head, waving off the apology. "Don't worry about it, I know you've got stuff to do. I've just been bouncing around anyway. Besides, you're here now so it's fine. I didn't know you were friends with Elesa though. Guess famous people have it different, huh? Aha." His fingers curled into a loose fist and he slugged lightly at Teo's shoulder.

Then, with a glance at the girl and back to his friend, he rolled his eyes and shrugged. "Interrupting, yes. Romantic...well," Alexis smirked. "She strongly claims it's not a date, okay? So definitely not romantic." He fingered the air quotes. ""Just because we're doing date stuff doesn't mean it's a date!" ..or something like that."

The male chuckled. "We were about to go on the Ferris wheel. Wanna come with? I'm sure she'd be ecstatic to have you come along."

"It's not a date!" Emiko said, shooting up from her faint. It was not a long-lived blackout and what Alexis had said seemed to shake her out of the stupor.

"Just because we were holding hands does not mean it was a date! It wasn't even that long!" Emiko's cheeks puffed out and she clenched her fists as if she were going to strike Alexis. Kit-Kit interrupted Emiko's thoughts of harm, however, by jumping up into her lap.

"Don't let him lie to you, Mister Ashbrook," Emiko said. "It is definitely not a date. We just happened to meet and we were both bored, and I would love it if you came to ride the Ferris Wheel with us. It'd be so great if you did." Emiko gasped a lungful of air. Her words all jumbled together and it may not have been exactly understandable because of how fast she had spoken.

Kit-Kit rubbed up against Emiko's tummy, purring.

Teo laughed, "It was Elesa that got my into this business, y'know? When I battled her for the badge, she asked me after the battle if I wanted to try some modelling out, after seeing how well Cinnamon took to the stage-arena."

The little Cinccino puffed his chest up proudly at being mentioned, nodding his head.

"And hey, why not? Since it's definitely not a date, and all." The redhead grinned with amusement, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Emiko, anyway. I didn't have a chance to get that in before you went off with the fairies. And thank you for the compliments, it's always nice to meet a fan."

"Oh come on now, you're out like a light and that's the one thing you react you?" Alexis said, jerking away at her sudden revival. "Really now?"

He then nodded in agreement, "Clearly people who hold hands are not on dates. Ever. That's completely ridiculous. Unheard of. Preposterous," the trainer said seriously, ignoring the potential threat of pain and ungrateful to the fact that Kit-Kit had saved him.

"I'm sorry for lying to you, Mister Ashbrook," he continued in the same manner, looking Teo in the eyes. "Because it's definitely not a date, we would love to have you join us. Because what the lady says, goes. But since you came in late, you get to cover the tickets!"

Fan? Ha. That was putting it extremely lightly. Worshiper was more like it. She had a collection of Teo's adverts in a book back at her home in Nuvema. She only carried one of Teo's pictures around in her pocket, right next to her Trainer's Card.

Emiko stood from the bench, holding Kit-Kit in her arms with the purrloin's feet dangling freely. It growled and made grabby hands for Teo as if she wanted to be held by him instead.

"Lot's of people hold hands when not on dates," Emiko said. "And I think you should pay for the tickets, Alexis. I'm betting you're the one that invited Mister Ashbrook along, hm? It'd be rude to make him pay."

Teo himself laughed, shaking his head, "No, this is an entirely chance encounter. Lexi didn't ask me along, I'm perfectly happy to pay." Lifting Cinnamon onto his shoulder, he cheerfully hooked one arm over each of the pair, "How about I take you both on a not-date, because I have money to spare anyway. And then, since neither of you are paying for the other, it's even less of a date. Make sense to you?"

He paused, "Yeah, not to me either, but I'm gonna roll with it anyway."

"Ah, yes, but you're the one who wants him to go the most, no?" Alexis pointed out and grinned. "So it's him or you, and luckily Teo's a nice enough guy to cover both of us. Less complaining, more happy." And he was happy, if only slightly annoyed. "Since it makes no sense at all, I'm inclined to say yes. Because when someone else is paying, it's even more clearly not a date. Which is the point here. That it's not a date."

Alexis wondered if repeating something constantly actually made it true and laughed internally at the thought. "Although I haven't really heard of much hand-holding in casual encounters. Pretty sure it doesn't happen much at all. Just figured I'd point it out."

"Anyway, now that it's decided, let's go!" He thrust his fist into the air and pointed towards the wheel. "Onward!"

Meanwhile, Alice bobbed up and down next to Cinnamon. "You need to learn to share, cutie," she criticized.

Kit-Kit was a fantastically quiet pokemon for one that liked to cause so much trouble. It had not said a word to either the Mismagius or the Cinccino. There was a good chance that it was shy around other pokemon. The poor thing just pouted when it wasn't taken out of Emiko's horrible grip.

Emiko sighed when Teo put his arm around her. It wasn't too romantic for her because he was doing the same thing to Alexis too. She was going to take what she could get anyway! It wasn't everyday that a celebrity acted like they were friends. Come to think of it... Alexis and Teo seemed to be good friends.

Hm. What in the world did Teo see in Alexis to consider him a friend? Why were they friends? And were they really friends? The gears spun in Emiko's head enough that she had fallen silent. She didn't even argue whether their outing was still considered a date or not.

Kit-Kit just resigned to playing with the curling strands of Emiko's hair, making a game of it.

"So," Teo began as they walked, "How did you two meet?" he asked, glancing between the pair. "Lexi and I here ran into each other in this very fairground a couple months ago, then he started stalking me from my twitter feed, the weirdo."

The redhead winked, "I'm kidding, of course, though that is how we ran into each other the second time. We've bonded over being poor misunderstood pretty-boys, who nobody understands. I think those were the words I used? Something along those lines." He laughed, shaking his head. "Cinnamon and Alice seem to get along, too, in their own way."

'His arms were full!' Cinnamon protested, pouting. 'No room to share!'

Teo glanced down at Kit-Kit with a smile, "Your purrloin seems quiet. She not much of a chatterer?"

Alexis snorted and patted Teo's arm before brushing it off. "Well, she was trying to get her Purrloin out of a tree, fell, and I helped her up. I think that pretty much sums it up."

"For the record," he stated, raising a finger to the other two, "I am definitely better than some of those other stalkers. I didn't even ask him for an autograph or to sign my forehead or something weird like that. But anyway, that's pretty much the story of us, isn't it? Bitching in a park?" He snickered and inclined his head in agreement. "Cinnamon and Alice get along reeeeal well."

"It's the thought that counts, mister, Alice chided, "and you most certainly were not thinking of it in the first place."

As they walked, Alexis scowled in agitation and reached into his pocket, his hand returning with a hair band. His lengthy strands were gathered into a ponytail and promptly tied up.

Alexis had pretty hair. Emiko was staring at him pulling his hair back into a ponytail, that is at least until her foot caught on the sidewalk. Her trainer bit into the dip that separated different slabs of concrete and Emiko stumbled. Kit-Kit let out a cry of surprise and wheeled its arms around like pinwheels in Emiko's grasp.

The pokemon trainer was able to mostly keep her balance. She had not fallen!

"That sidewalk came out of nowhere," Emiko mumbled beneath her breath angrily. "Dangerous. Shouldn't even have them. And stop playing with your hair!" She re-situated Kit-Kit in her arms and started walking faster than the other two boys.

Emiko didn't even remember to answer Teo's question concerning her pokemon.

Alexis, distracted from his tying, looked over to Emiko with a raised eyebrow. "What? Oh, I'm not playing with it. It's just getting in my face so I figured I'd put it up. I'm sure you know what I mean. You okay there?" he asked, as he finished the ponytail and flicked it back.

Emiko sped up and had left the boys in the dust.

By the time they would reach the Ferris Wheel they would be able to see trouble brewing between Emiko and another trainer.

"But I don't want to!" Emiko said, clutching her purrloin close to her chest in a protective manner.

"Battle me or I will see to it that everyone knows you're a loser trainer!" a boy with a mohawk and punk styled clothing said, pointing at Emiko accusingly.

"I'm not a loser trainer!"

"Then prove it!"

"No! I don't want to battle right now. I'm busy!"

"Busy with what?"

"I'M ON A DATE OKAY?!"

A crowd of eyes turned to look at the red-face girl and the boy who had challenged her. Mohawk Kid held up his hands and shook his head, giving up.

"Hey!"

Teo's voice cut through the murmurings of the crowd, a scowl finding its way to his face as he and Alexis approached the scene. "What the hell are you playing at? Are you really that insecure that you have to prey on random girls to prove you're a big man? That's pretty pathetic, sweetie, no offence."

The model folded his arms and rolled his eyes. Upon his shoulder, Cinnamon mimicked the gesture, sticking his nose into the air disapprovingly.

Teo glanced across at Alexis, "Maybe you ought to give hotshot here his battle. I'd just love to see how amazing he must be to go around calling strangers, quote 'loser trainers'." The effeminate boy laughed slightly mockingly, "I'd do it myself, but I think it'd be more appropriate if you did. She's your date, after all. 'cause it's a date now, no take-backsies."
