Enzo Paris

He's that last puff of nicotine, that last drop of alchohol. He's a strawberry bathed in cyanide.

Enzo tugged at the edges of his coat, shortening the gap that had grown between them. The night air felt like needles against his bare skin. The city was beautiful, a mix between classic Greek architecture and modern minimalistic structures. The scarce lighting provided a warm glow to the cobblestone pathways and the trickling fountain behind him added to the cities serenity. It was days like these, filled with soothing sounds and smells, that once brought him such comfort. He'd always been attuned to such things. His first love called him a romantic, the next a poet, now they'd call him a monster.

He ran a finger across the short patch of hair that clung to his chin as cool air filled his nostrils. The hunger had returned.

He paused, shifting his vision and turning so that his shoulder faced the girl. He ran a hand through the thick nest of hair atop his head as he examined her. "Excuse me?"

Enzo rose a brow as a shiver skipped thru the length of his spine. "Enjoying the scenery. Im new to this part of town, reminds me of home. Thought I'd take a walk when it was less crowded." He pulled his thumb across his lower lip, taking in the womens appearence.

"You hurt?"

He peered to either side, then back at her. "I guess you could look at it like that. I just like the scenery." He cupped his hands together, allowing them to hang loosely beneath his chin as he breathed into them. "It's a nice city. Beautiful architecture. You dont see places like this too often."

"Still havent told me what you're doing out here so late. I have my excuse, be it a whimsical one. What about you? Any reason to be out here, other than smelling strangers."

Enzo looked over the girl once more before reaching for the edge of his coat. "Arent you cold? Hardly wearing anything." He spread out the garment, grasping each shoulder as he nodded her forward. "Here" He draped the fabric over her bear shoulders. "Im about to head home, wont be needing it."

Enzo slipped his finger beneath the coat, draping it over his back as he smiled lightly. "Apologies, looked like you needed it." He peered back at the narrow stretch of cobblestone before him. "I need to be going, getting late. Was a pleasure."

He parted his lips from her. A victim of her own will, a creature of desire. He laid beside her, feeling her skin against his. He buried his face in her neck, feeling the peace he so desired. The embrace of a loved one brought him more comfort than he'd care to admit. So he'd lay there for a while longer; A minute, an hour, a day. They were strangers once, and now they're the most important people in each others lives. Love is strange. Its brief, its conditional, its lucky. Its not brought upon by some destined, divine script. Its a product of circumstance.

The sirens blared behind him. The lights were blinding, the sounds deafening. His heart pounded against his chest as the symbol for lawfulness loomed over him like an executioners axe. He lept across a roof-top, slipped thru a window. Anything to escape his pursuers. The glass shards digging into his ribs were all but painless, the gash beneath his eye no more than the prick of a pin.

Finally, silence. Peace. Quiet. He leaned against the statues, idols of a relegion long forgotten. The fountain purred before him as violet drops trickled down his chest. Oh, the relief.

She spotted the movement high above the city streets and watched the figure run. She burned a bit of tin in her belly and pulled out some sight from her anklet. In an instant the man was as clear to her as though he were standing next to her. She dismissed him as a personal threat, but her awareness was heightened by the activity of the police who seemed to be pursuing the man. She debated drawing iron and putting him down for them to capture, but shook her head. She shouldn't draw attention to herself. She couldn't be caught in a situation where people could recognize her without her say so. She shook herself a little and trudged down the street towards the fountain. She was supposed to meet a contact there and get some new information about the state of Elondel. She had made some friends here and in Wing city also who might help her in the coming war with the Mistborn.

A breath, he arched his chest and folded his arms atop his head. His eyes parted only slightly as he took note of the woman. The fountain was slight, constructed of marble and clay. As the sirens roared by, he simply gazed at her. He wasn't guilty. A blade can't be held acountable, nor can a patch of nicotine. In the same sense, how could he?

He was watching her now... interesting. Did he have some heightened sense also? The range of abilities in these cities was astonishing. Was it something in the water? If so she wanted to bottle it and send it to people she trusted.

She walked over to the fountain and sat down. Though night it was still quite pleasant out. She cast a critical eye over the artistic peace but her heightened senses kept her from really enjoying anything made by man. Her abilities let her observe something very closely on many levels. The closer she observed something made by man the more crude it became. Whereas those things made by nature were infinitely more amazing the closer she observed. She could barely stand to look at a painting, but could spend hours observing a tree.

She kept burning her tin, heightening all her senses, her clothes had been specifically made to be as comfortable as possible, so that the increased tactile sense wouldn't become a burden. She kept a portion of her senses on the man, even as she kept her back to him, if he were to try something, she would know.

And as swiftly as they came the sirens drifted off into the city. Enzo steped forward towards the fountain as the trickling water way brought comfort to his heavy heart. He crouched over the marble barrier as he allowed water to trickle down his face. Enzo wasnt the tactical type. No eye was left to guard from an attack; his muscles relaxed.

Breeze felt nothing threatening from the man at all, his behavior and reactions merely showed relief. She took that as a good sign and relaxed a little herself. She cast eyes around at the people trying to spot her contact, but he wasn't in sight. She wanted to check her guns, but that would have been in bad taste out in public. Especially as she was trying not to draw attention to herself. Instead she just reached inside her coat and touched first one then the other. She caressed the handle of Vindicator and calmed herself further, it was something she had memorized years ago, every little divot and groove along the metal, every fiber of the handle. It was a reminder of her father and the promise she had made to him. She removed her hands, empty, and took a moment to center herself. She stopped burning her tin and started filling her metal minds with all her senses leaving her completely muted, as if floating in nothingness Then she slowly let each sense return until she was in the moment again. She turned to look at the man without heightening anything, he didn't seem to stand out at all. She almost had to check again to make sure he hadn't switched with some random man on the street.

Enzo peered up, seeing the familiar woman. He moved to burry his face in the fountain once more but the figures approaching the fountain drew his attention. A group of maybe three, four men. They funneled into the narrow walkway, brushing past Enzo and trickling by the girl. They had seemed to dismiss him as vagrant, a drifter. They were much more interested in the seemingly lone woman. "Lost, miss?" One of the men practically spat out. Enzo paid them little notice. He wasnt one to fight, not even when the odds were in his favor.

"What a particularly abrasive introduction," she looked up at the man who had spoken. "I'm waiting for someone," she smiled a little as she adjusted her coat slightly, the movement appearing to just make her comfortable, while actually adjusting the shoulder holster of the small darrenger pistols she had under each arm. Two shots in each would be more than enough, she figured, if things went very poorly. But incase things only went slightly bad she stood and looked the man in the eye. "But no, I'm not lost. Are you?"

And in a faction of a second, they were about her. Bright red eyes brimming with lust, like animals surrounding their pray. "Get the bum too, don't wan't the Hands to show up. Barely got away the last time."

He felt a hand against his neck, yanking him from the fountain and tossing him at the womans feet. One reached for his blade, the other traced the woman with the barrel of his pistol.

Breeze didn't need to see the men to be able to feel where each of them was. She burned tin and the world flared into high gear as she stepped forward ducking under the mans gun as she drew one darrenger, trying to shoot him in the foot before turning and firing one shot at the knees of each of the remaining two. She holstered her empty darrenger and then slowly drew out Vindicator, the custom high caliber long pistol. "Now, I'm more used to this area than I was when I first arrived, so you should know these are blessed silver bullets, and they will hurt just about anything you three might be. Now get out of here before I get curious."

The men seemed to fall at once, reeling in pain. Ezno retreated slightly, his back against the fountains wall. He only watched as the men gazed at each other, than back at her. The man before him placed his finger over the trigger, malice in his eyes. Enzo looked towards the woman, seemingly the only thing keeping them mens attention from him. He leaned forward, grabbing his arm and pulling it towards him before digging his teeth into the agressors arm. He brushed the wound with his bottom lip, allowing it to linger over the gap in his skin. The man fired as he flinced, the other two following suit.

Enzo recoiled at the sound of gunfire. The screech of dragging metal brought him to his knees, palms pressed against his ears. When he'd finaly rose, he'd see a slew of bloodied corpses before him. "God dammit, gunfire? Are you crazy? The Hands will tear you limb from limb." Enzo whipped his hand across his lips, attempting to whipe the blood away. He pressed past her, tugging at her wrist. "Come on. Move."

He lifted a brow as the woman seemingly appeared by his side. He ran his thumb across the crease in his next then up into the short patch of hair that clung to the bottom of his chin.

"I dont mind the company." He looked forward, gazing ideally at the twisting pathway that laid before them.

"Of course I sleep; I'm just not very fond of it. Minds much to wild to leave it unoccupied. Much rather explore the city, it's a bit more comforting than my bed."

His eyes caught Adonis, offering him a polite smile. As he turned to speak to the woman once more, he'd find his jaw caught in the path of a long metal pipe. He stumbled away from the impact, falling to his knees. A man loomed over him, the same pipe now pressed against his shoulder. It wasn't long before another few handful of vandals appeared behind him, all armed with their own makeshifts tools of pain.

Enzo gazed up, catching a stream of violet blood in his hand. He'd wandered right out of the cities boundaries.
