Nairi pulled his cloak up and over his head to protect himself from the rain of gore that burst outwards from the exploding creature. Globlets of blackened flesh bounced off of the shadowy material, and blood splattered on it. Both were quickly shed like water off a duck's back from the unnatural fabric.

When it was over, the werecat lowered the cloak, narrowing his eyes at the remnants of Goulash.

His mind went back to the eel woman, defeated in the Plaza. The black pool.

Immediately, he started forwards towards the frozen monster, intent on ... what exactly, he wasn't sure. Finishing it off? Trying to stop another pool reclaiming it? Something.

"Iiiin kuh." Did that mean something? Had he heard that before? He didn't think so.

Did it refer to the inky blackness of the pools, perhaps?

Arya dug a piece of shrapnel from her hand, the NPA Sanctifiers moving up to make sure the creature was dead. Really dead. In Wing City it seemed you never knew if something was dead unless you saw it die.

Even then there were no promises.

"Everyone good?" Stardust asked as he was helped to his feet, the pieces of Goulash trying to absorb him were successfully separated from him. He would be a liar if he said he was okay.

"Let's take it to Sonia." One of the soldiers suggested, removing a cylinder from his belt. He aimed it down at the pieces of Goulash, the canister sucking the flesh in quickly.

"Sure that'll work?" Arya asked, "It's a pocket dimension, it'll work."

The body was still not doing a thing. It just sat there. Frozen. As things go, however, the black pool, just like all those other times, manifested itself beneath Goulash, threatening to swallow him whole. Two arms rose up out of the puddle, black as the rest of it, and wrapped around Goulash's body.

He'd seen it coming. Predicted it. Just like the time before.

The crescent blade swept outwards with lightning fast reflexes towards the closest arm as Nairi darted in, aiming to slash through it and sever it completely. The blade arced close enough to touch the pool's surface as he lunged, leaning over it in a way one might consider reckless.

Deep in the lonely wilderness of Midland, amidst the scraggly rocks and thick brush, two Alpha Troopers led Professor Motzu into through an intricately camouflaged door. They stepped into a lift which, after a moment, shot downward at blurring speeds. Though there was little sign of acceleration, the lights that illuminated the shaft whizzed by like strobes. With the hiss of hydraulics the lift slid to a halt before opening its doors.

Before the professor was the antechamber for an expansive research laboratory. The mythic Ereb Labs sprawled out before her in a complex system of steel covered passageways. Technicians in lab coats dotted the halls along with armed guards - some of which were more Alpha Troopers.

"This way, Miss Motzu." said one of the troopers with his deep modulated voice.

Jennifer walked with the Alpha Troopers quietly, half paying attention half thinking about something else completely: having a nice hot bath. It had been so long since the Drachini researcher of all things Draconian had had a bath it was practically all she could think about. Luckily for her though, she didn't smell. When she was on the left, she blinked as it suddenly dropped, looking up at the fading light of the world above. When the lift stopped she blinked again and looked around.

She gasped at what she saw, her eyes widening as they looked at all the equipment. "This place is beautiful." she commented. "Just think of all the research I can do!"

She looked to the Alpha trooper that addressed her and nodded. "Lead the way." she said with a happy tone.

The air around the group just seemed to shift slightly to the left from the breeze coming in. A presence was watching them unseen and unfelt by the naked eye. It was a benevolent presence but a presence none the less. It was strange...and so very near

From beyond the veil of sight, a being was watching the group, waiting for a chance...to harm, to not harm. Who could say...but what was clear was it would be faintly traceable..

It was all around them...

As the three ventured down a hallway, one of the troopers glanced over his shoulder at the empty hall behind him. He could feel something picking the back of his brain - a presence that his sensors were not quite able to pick up.

<< Attention, Alpha Troopers. I am picking up some abnormal disturbances in the space-time fabric. Stay frosty. >>

"Acknowledged, Paia." replied one of the troopers over their secure Quantum-Comm.

"Living quarters are down that hall over there." the trooper pointed down a passageway. "You will find showers as well as a mess hall. When you are ready, report to Lab Fourteen-C. Security clearance will not be an issue, as you are expected."

Jennifer seemed unaware of anything else nearby, as she kept walking, thinking about other things. She looked at one of the Alpha Troopers and nodded. "Thanks." she said to the trooper, patting his shoulder gently before walking down the hall to the Showers, where she would do what she needed to do.

While that was happening, something else did sense the strange presence that was seemingly everywhere. The shadows began to quiver as something moved through them. There was the sound of claws clicking on the ground of the complex, though there was no visual source for the claws. Only sounds and the quivering of shadows as whatever was moving searched for a way into the real world.

After about forty five minutes or so, Jennifer exited the showers, dried herself off, and threw on her spare pair of clothes that she kept with her at all times in her bag. After putting those on, she put on her lab coat, and walked to Lab Fourteen-C. The door opened to reveal a drachini standing at six feet one inch tall with white hair, yellow draconian eyes, scales for skin on different parts of her body, claws for hands and feet, and an almost perfect body for a humanoid female in terms of shape and build. She wore her usual tank-top, sweats, and lab coat, and hanging from her shoulder was her bag filled with some things.

Three other figures stood in the room when Jennifer entered. The first was an elderly man clad in an exquisite midnight blue tailored suit that was adorned with onyx cufflinks. Emblazoned upon the cufflinks were open white hands formed from opal with the palms facing outward. Carved into the palms were intricate ruby triangles. An onyx ring wrapped around the middle finger of his left hand matched the sleeve ornaments. A deep purple necktie was tucked neatly beneath the collar of a snow white buttoned-down shirt and went into the suit jacket. White hair receded from his forehead and flowed downward in a sharply trimmed and groomed beard. Aged wrinkles marked his face as intelligent, observant, and lively blue eyes focused on the other man he conversed with.

Professor Hagon stood was a slightly bent back. The frail old man was dressed in a long lab coat, buttoned down shirt, khakis, and dress shoes. His wrinkled hand gripped a metallic cane pressed firmly against the floor. His face bore a mixture of Terran and Taiyou descent, and an intelligence that would put most of both to shame. The scientist turned to face the draconian girl.

"Eh, so this is the help yeh got me?" Hagon squinted his eyes at the girl. "I guess ya'll do."

The third figure was Captain Agares, Squad Leader of Alpha Regiment One. He was dressed the same as every other Alpha Trooper - with the same confining yet nearly indestructible nanosuit. His only difference was the long serrated katana that was strapped to his back.

Finally, when the copy of the draconian girl, Cally, appeared, Agares took a quick stride between her and the three VIPs and aimed his blaster rifle directly at the doppelganger. Mr. Ereb looked at the person with curiosity, and Hagon grunted in annoyance.

Jennifer looked to the three people in the room. She did not know Mr. Ereb, but she had seen him on TV some times, she had no idea who Professor Hagon was, and tilted her head at him slightly. She had met Agares before, but didn't really know him. When the copy of her appeared, she blinked, and took a few steps back in surprise.

"The only person I know with the name Draco is the actual Dragon. I do not know the name of...Oh, so the hosts name was James...Interesting." she muttered. She tilted her head. "Um, nice to meet you Cally, but if you're a friend of Draco's old host, then why hide? As long as the host is comfortable with your presence I guess it's okay." she said with a shrug.

The shadows quivered again, and a dark chuckle came from them as Draco crawled out of them, stretching his wings. "Well if it isn't the girl James thought about quite a lot while I was inside his head." he said, his tail twitching behind him as his wings folded to his back. With scales as black as night, and eyes of a piercingly dark green, Draco was intimidating, even if he was only the size of a large dog.

"Speaking of James..." he muttered, moving towards Mr. Ereb. "Where is he? Taking a nap?" he chuckled as he stopped far enough away to not be an overly important threat. But then, he wasn't a threat.

As Draco entered, Jennifer's mouth hung open for a few seconds, and she couldn't help but stare.

Draco caught sight of Jennifer's staring and hurried over to her, circling her. "Hmm, you the one who's going to study my genes in James? Interesting..." he said, sniffing a bit before moving away again, wings stretching out and tail flicking gently.

It was another normal day for Wing City, the weather was sunny, and the people were for the most part happy. Children were at play outside, parents socialized, the police force did its job, patrolling the city and the business men and women were busy as always. Something then began to change, though. Anyone who looked would notice that every single shadow in the city began to move, sway, and quiver. The shadows would be pulled from where they originally sat in the city, and would head towards the center of the city.

The shadows began to pool, forming a large shadow. The shadow then began to rise into the air like a mist in four pillar-like shapes, then they began to pool again, forming what appeared to be a body while the pillars formed into legs. From the body a tail made from the same shadowy mist formed, as did large wings. Next, the neck and head of the beast formed. There were no scales, there was no true form. There was just a pair of glowing red eyes to complete the form of Draco of the Shadows, the Dragon of Death himself. Lightning flowed through the body similarly to blood, and the electric power from cars and buildings nearby flowed into the body of the Dragon.

He let out a roar that rumbled and shook the very earth beneath the feet of people, shattered the windows of buildings and vehicles, and even killed people from the pain, others had their eardrums pop, and their ears bleed, blood pouring down the sides of their heads as the rumbling continued. Soon it stopped, and Draco flapped his wings of Shadow-mist hard, and he started to lift off the ground, the shadow from the ground he formed from clinging to him like a sludge for a few seconds before falling off and revealing his enormous clawed feet. He flew into the sky, and let out another bellowing roar, a mist coming from his mouth, forming dark clouds.

Lightning Struck down from the clouds, and Thunder roared almost immediately. It then began to pour. Hard.

Anyone with power would hear the Television and Radio suddenly warp for a few seconds. "We now go to our weather-man, Ollie Williams. Ollie?" a voice would ask.

"IT'S RAININ' SIDEWAYS!" another voice would yell at the top of his lungs before the video feed cut out.

"Thanks Ollie." The audio would cut out as well as the signal was blocked from the storm.

Draco flew through the clouds, and then spread his wings, stopping in air for a few seconds. He was fifty feet from the tip of his snout to the tip of his tail, twenty-five feet from the bottom of his clawed feet to the top of his head, excluding the seven feet horns that sprouted from his head. His total wingspan from shadowy wing-tip to shadowy wing-tip was about one-hundred and thirty-six feet.

The lightning that flowed through his body started to condense, and gather in his maw, which hung open as he charged his attack. After five seconds of charging, Draco released the charged beam of pure lightning onto the city, burning people to a crisp, making vehicles explode, and toppling buildings while setting them on fire as well.

Meanwhile................

Storm-Shadow ran through the passages of the secret Ereb Industries facility, narrowly avoiding people as he then leaped into a shadow and appeared in his quarters, grabbing his weapons and putting them in their holsters before heading to the deployment room.

Paia had already alerted the other Ereb Alpha Troopers, including Agares of the situation in Wing City.

......................

Draco had already destroyed at least four city blocks, and landed on the ground, the great pool of shadow beneath him as he roared again, the bellowing sound reaching all corners of the city. The roar was a challenge to all who though they could defeat him.

#, as written by Lorawr
Jessica looked around the side alley she had just found herself in, after the crowd of people had (not too gently) pushed her in there. Her twitching right hand finally found its way into her bag, and emerged once more with her quill clasped between her fingers. The alley itself was dark, dank, and damp, with the waste and refuse of the street and the buildings that created it tossed carelessly into the shadow of the road. Not that it was much of a road, either. In fact, it was perhaps wide enough for two people to walk abreast of each other - if they could avoid the rubbish that polluted the ground. Jessica looked around, and felt her lips turn down in disgust at how anyone could leave any place like this...but she had to write it down before she could go.

Words and phrases buzzed around the inside of her head, and if she had someone to relay that particular bit of information to nearby, she would have said that it was as though each one was like a tiny person, dressed up as a clown, or in brightly colored clothing, and each one danced to get her attention until she wrote it down. It was almost like a little party inside her head.

Jessica chuckled to herself as she perched on the edge of a discarded wooden stool, and took one of the many notebooks that she carried out of her satchel bag. Flicking through to a clean page, she started to record her adventures of the day so far in a looping, elegant hand. The words seemed to melt from the quill as though they were already there, on the paper, and all it took was the touch of the golden nib to bring the words to light.

So focused on her craft was she, that two pages later, she didn't notice the slightest quivering of the darkness she sat beneath. Humming to herself, she was so involved in her work that nothing could have distracted her until...

...BANG!

The rickety stool that she had perched herself on cracked, and splintered, so that she landed in a most unladylike fashion on the ground, in the dirt, with a resounding thump on her backside. Jessica gasped, and would have squealed in indignation had she not finally noticed the shadows tugging away from their source like a disobedient dog on a leash. And then, that leash snapped, and the shadows whipped past her in one direction - the direction that the general populace were walking in, from the thoroughfare before she had been rudely pushed aside.

Jessica snapped her notebook shut, trusting that the ink was dry, and placed it cleanly back in her bag as she rose, and ran. The heels of her boos landed noisily on the ground as she pursued the shadows, with her quill held protectively in her hand still. Jessica ran, and continued to run, until she found herself in the very center of Wing City itself. In one sweeping glance, the writer took in the sheer beauty of the gardens and the buildings arranged around her, unable to focus on the creature that was manifesting itself in front of her, until she looked at it.

The mass of shadows was under its final construction by now, with a body forged out of concentrated darkness, and Jessica immediately understood what it was, or at least the form it took. Dragon. Lightning flickered up and down its length as it observed the puny characters around it, and instinct alone had Jessica's hand groping the market stall the she had frozen next to. She feared this creature, and its power, and so did all of the other fear-frozen spectators in her vicinity. The only thing that parted her from these was her determination not to become helpless.

From the stall, Jessica pilfered an apple, with her gaze fixed on the dragon creature as though mesmerized. Tears of awe, or fright, or anger trickled down her fair cheeks as her hand immediately moved to the apple, and the quill worked its magic.

'The sweet flesh of the fruit bore protective powers, granting the consumer a temporary shield from the power of light, in all its volatile states'

And then Jessica brought the apple to her mouth, a second after the rouge colored skin had absorbed the black ink of the quill, leaving only the vaguest tracing of a possibility of the words that she had written upon it. Her hand writing was awful, shaky, but the enchantment would hold true.

A single bite of the apple was enough to protect her from the dragons lightning. But then its roar struck her, and the very ground beneath her feet rumbled, and her head vibrated as though she had been struck from all angles with a hammer. Pain lanced up and down her body; red hot, and white at the same time as her sight faded and went black. Everything was color, but there was no light as her ears rang and she was sure that she would never hear or see again. The roar seemed to last a lifetime, and even after the destructive dragon had shut its great mouth, the sound still echoed wickedly off of the remains of buildings.

Jessica never found out how much time passed between that moment, and the moment of her wakening. She was on the ground, her cheeks soaked with the wetness of her tears, with her hands clamped over her ears. And there was silence. Deathly silence. Forcing her body to work through the pain, Jessica forced her head up, and held her hands tightly over her ears as though her head would fall from her shoulders unless she held it there.

Everywhere, buildings had crumbled. People lay in the streets, frozen, either dead or paralyzed with the force of the roar that had been unleashed upon them. Everything was blurry, and nothing made a sound. Shuddering, Jessica wondered if she was deaf. Taking several deep breaths, Jessica took her hands from her ears. Silence still. Until she softly tapped the ground that she had unceremoniously fallen upon. Tap, tap, tap. She heard it. Her once pristine finger nails made the softest sound on the stone floor, but it was sound.

And then, there was a crack of thunder, and a flash of lightning, and Jessica screamed again as rain pelted her, and soaked her quickly through her clothes, expecting to receive another attack. But it was just the weather, and she marginally relaxed.

Forcing herself to her feet once more, Jessica pushed her hair out of her eyes as she looked up at the sky, the golden quill held tightly in her hand still. All was blackness, except for the occasional flash of lightning, and the crash of thunder. But she saw it again, then, that mass of dragon. It was a permanent darkness, refusing to be lit by the lightning that inhabited it, or the lightning that was outside of it. And Jessica knew then, that she had to follow.

She ran. Somehow, the woman found the energy to chase the creature that could cripple her with fear with a single look, and she followed it. Her skin, despite the rain, was warm, she suddenly realized. Her enchantment had held.

And then she froze once more as she tumbled out of a street into a once beautiful plaza that the dragon creature was hell bent on destroying. Lightning flickered from it's maw, and bounced from vehicles, and people, and buildings alike, but she held no fear of it. Protected as she was, Jessica whimpered, and hid herself in the arch that had once been an entrance to a garden. There, she simply allowed herself to be content with watching the monster.

Perhaps when all this was over, assuming she survived, she would write an epic poem about the event. Assuming there was a force to stop this creature, of course.

There was a flash from the rooftops, a figure dancing along the rails and sides of the tall houses and shops. Where there was a sign that would stop it, the figure disappeared with a crack and reappeared just as suddenly as he disappeared beyond the obstacle. Running was what the figure lived for, and this danger was exhilarating.

The runner worked his way though the destroyed city blocks and slid to a halt on one of the rooftops. Felix was his name and that wasn't as intimidating as the huge shadowy dragon in-front of him. It wasn't friendly that was for sure. "You are so fucked." A voice echoed though his head. "Yup. You're fucked."

Felix leaped off the building and into the streets, swinging off pipes and bending his body to the extreme as he looked for survivors of the sudden attack, working his way though the wrecked garden and torn grass till he saw the curious form of Jessica. Felix lifted his hands above his head and dashed though the wreckage.

The wreckage of a car flipped into the air, crackling with lightning from the dragon and landed with a solid crack and screech of metal atop the runner, grinding to a halt slowly. Felix looked back at the wreckage that had been about to cut his life short from behind the writer; Jessica.

"You're so dead if you don't grab my hand." Felix shouted over the chaos, holding out a hand.

Shadow-Sabre and Verhasst raced down the street, dark matter rifles in hand, towards the destruction. While the police escorted the civilians from the danger zone, the Ereb Alpha Troopers mobilized to combat the rogue dragon. The cyborg super soldiers sprinted through the street, leaping over toppled cars in single strides. They slid to a halt when Draco was in view.

"Paia!" Shadow-Sabre called out on their comm channel. "Give me some intel. Are the Gargoyles and Minotaurs mobilized? What's the view from the Crow's Nest?"

<< Affirmative. Drones have been deployed and are inbound. Supernatural energies are spiking. I'm sensing a strong electromagnetic field along with fluctuation in spacetime. Advised that you stay mobile and flank Draco at multiple positions. Formulating attack plan and plotting unit routes. >>

"Acknowledged." replied Shadow-Sabre before making a global broadcast. "You heard her! Surround that overgrown lizard. Air support is on its way. Stay moving! Storm-Shadow, how's everything on your end? Is your team mobilized?"

The Alpha Troopers formed into rotating strike teams that circled the perimeter of the dragon. They periodically halted behind cover and unleashed a barrage of concentrated pulses of dark matter at the dragon. Their lancers charged while blasters provided cover fire before unleashing a powerful pulse of concentrated dark matter. Then, as quickly as they entrenched, they retreated to another position.

Meanwhile, several large spheres zipped along the streets from every direction. They weaved between the fleeing and flipped cars as they advanced towards the frontline. Upon reaching the core of the destruction, they collapsed and reassembled their outward panels. Titanic robotic figures that towered at nearly a story stood shoulder to shoulder along the streets. The droids glared at the dragon with their robotic crimson eyes. Missile launchers, gatling guns, and dark matter cannons materialized from various panels across their arms, chests, and shoulders. Finally, the assault droids deployed a bombardment of gun fire and anti-matter warheads onto the dragon's flanks.

Dozens of slick black objects zoomed through the air with deft agility, dodging streaks of lightning with super-human reflexes. The drones joined the fight - buzzing about the dragon like flies as they fired their missiles and guns. A bolt of lightning ripped through the air on a direct collision course with a drone, but the fighter shattered into a thousand pieces like glass. As the lightning passed through empty air, the shards reassembled into the black drone several meters away.

As the destruction unfolded, an ominous figure observed from atop Ereb Tower. Two black feathered wings, drenched in writhing darkness, spread out over the city. Penetrating eyes, blacker than the blackest trench of the Abyss, pierced through both concrete and steel into every soul of the city below. His clawed hands clenched as a corrupted cosmic energy coursed around him. Gnarled horns spiraled upward from his forehead. An aura of terrible malice and god-like power surrounded the being like an impenetrable blanket of chaos.

"Yes..." he whispered to himself. "Feed, my new pet. Feed upon their terror. Relish the death and destruction. Cast more souls into the Pit for your master's legion. Destroy and kill in my name and remind these pitiful beings of their place!"

Jessica looked around as she crouched beneath the arch, before turning to the stone that she took shelter beneath. Her pen scratched at the stone already. 'And the heat of the day granted the grand arch protection from the destruction caused by lightning and thunder, and sheer titanic force.' And with the final stop on the end of the sentence, the stone shimmered and it appeared as though she looked out at the rest of the world through a fine curtain of water. But she was safe, for now. Power radiated from the small structure like blood from a wound. The enchantment, powerful as it was, wouldn't last long. But she had a few minutes of recovery time.

From her place in relative safety, Jessica watched the dragon, and evaluated her own situation. She was wearing her own typical traveling clothes - leather pants, with her white shirt tucked in. Her leather boots were knee high, and her satchel bag was on the ground at her feet. Her hair though...Jessica was glad she was nowhere near any solid reflective surfaces. Her normally perfectly groomed blonde hair was filthy with settling dust, and tangled beyond recognition almost. Scowling at the dragon, she bound her hair back with a scarf dug up from the depths of her bag.

Settling back on the ground, Jessica watched the dragon as it raged through the city, and buildings crumbled beneath its fury. Lightning cracked several times, and twice it struck the arch that she hid beneath, but the enchantment held. The first time, she flinched, but after that she was too busy trying to plan an escape as the water effect that the shield appeared as faded to little more than a pathetic drizzle.

The last shimmer of the shield faded, and Jessica became acutely aware that she had mere seconds before something struck her. Fear hit her again, but this time, she was prepared. Shouting from nearby told her that there were people coming to contain the situation, and adrenaline began to thrum through her. And that was why the hand that appeared from behind her made her jump.

"You're so dead if you don't grab my hand."

Jessica gasped and spun, her hand going to the knife she carried on her leg as she saw the man that stood behind her. She took a moment to look at him, judging whether or not she could trust him or not. But, at the end of the day, the wild excitement in the mans eyes and his shout over the chaos told her she was probably safer with him. Not that she needed a man to protect her, of course. She stood, taking her time before putting her hand in his, silently reasserting that she was capable of looking after herself.

In reply, she simply grinned and nodded "Lead on"

Storm-Shadow and his team, also consisting of Phoenix Rose ran down the street. "Affirmative, Shadow Sabre, we're in position." The soldier looked at the beast that was Draco as he let out another blast of lightning from his maw, aiming to destroy the drones that flew around him and the buildings in front of him. His tail swung around, narrowly missing the drones and smashing into buildings, making them crumble. Draco, what have you done... Let's move out! Get to cover and wait for my order to fire!" Storm-Shadow yelled. Him and his team then bounded down the street and took cover behind some flipped over cars.

The shots the drones and other Alpha Troopers fired would just seem to pass through the body of Draco. His wings spread themselves, flapping hard, forming a strong wind that made buildings sway, and crumble if they were weak, it also flipped over vehicles and would push away the drones. Lightning started to flash around the city, the bolts getting seemingly larger and larger.

Storm-Shadow observed the dragon and growled, his own growl draconian in away as his right arm had now shifted, becoming a draconian claw that he was using to funnel his own lightning around. "Ready, fire!" he barked. While his team would fire their dark matter pulses, he would lift up his arm and fire his own concentrated bolt of lightning.

The pulses of dark matter would pass through the Dragon, but the lightning would not, it would hit Draco in the wing and the great head of the dragon would turn to look at Storm-Shadow. "I was beginning to wonder when you'd show up, James. You're powers have improved, now let's see if they've improved enough." The dragon said with an amused growl. A massive bolt of lightning struck down from the heavens in-between the Ereb Alpha Troopers and Draco. Once the lightning had vanished, so had the dragon.

"Where'd it go?" one of the Troopers asked in a frantic tone.

"Up" Storm-Shadow would say while unsheathing his Ereb Katana with his Draconian right hand. By now his left hand had also morphed into a draconian one.

<< Storm-Shadow, it is advised you stay on the ground. >> Paia, his AI said. Though it was too late.

Another bolt of lightning flashed, and this time, Storm-Shadow was gone.

Way above the streets of the city, the dragon and the soldier some-what hovered in the air before the soldier vanished and reappeared, aiming to slash through Draco's side with an electrically charged blade, surprised when it actually hit the body of a dragon made of pure shadow.

The dragon opened its maw in another roar before smacking Storm-shadow with his tail. "Didn't anyone ever tell you it isn't nice to strike the one who both saved your life, and made you into what you are?" The dragon mocked as the soldier flew through the air, and down to the ground, where he would smash into the concrete. The fall would have killed a normal super soldier, but ...Storm-Shadow wasn't normal in the slightest. He got back up, and walked out of the crater he had formed.

The dragon seemed to smirk, charging up another blast of charged lightning before launching it straight at Storm-Shadow.

"Everyone move!" a female voice among the Alpha Troopers yelled. She didn't have to say it twice. The soldiers moved back, out of range of the blast.

Storm-Shadow, however, didn't move. He raised his katana to block the blast, letting out his most savage battle cry to date as he did and was completely enveloped in the blast. When the blast was diminished, Storm-Shadow was gone.

The dragon roared in triumph of his victory over what he had created a few years ago, only for the roar to be cut off as the blast he had unleashed was sent towards him from the supercharged blade of an Ereb Katana. The blast slammed into Draco's side, and the dragon roared in pain as it hit, wings flapping hard to stay air-born.

Storm-Shadow then appeared on the ground near the other Alpha Troopers. "That's it. I don't have another blast like that in me." he said, his arms shifting back to normal as he dropped to one knee, breathing hard. After a second or two, he stood again. "Troopers, if you have the amount of control to shoot lightning, I'd suggest you do it. It's the only way to hurt him so far."

Draco soon stabilized himself and landed on top of some buildings, smashing them beneath his feet and body. He then sank into the ground, and the giant pool of shadow moved to a more populated part of Wing City before he reemerged from the shadow, releasing another beam of concentrated lightning, destroying everything in his path. His great tail swung and toppled buildings. He let out another great, bellowing roar. He then let out another breath, this time it was a black mist, and all who inhaled it started fighting among each other to the death before moving onto the next person they laid their eyes on. The great Dragon of Shadow had turned Wing Cities citizens against each other, the darkness in their hearts awakened and burning like raging fires.

A dark, demonic laugh erupted from Draco's maw as he moved through the city streets. He saw a large group of children. "Aw, isn't that precious, the little pure children are cowing in fear before the Dragon of Death. Well, don't worry, it'll all be over soon." he growled as his maw opened and came down upon the group of children, chewing them up and eating them. "Tasty" he growled as his wings flapped again, letting him take off into the air now.

He'd forgotten about the drones, but since they seemed to be not very effective, he didn't need to worry about them.

Now the lightning in his body swirled and concentrated in his maw again, but after the normal charge time of five seconds, he didn't release the blast, he kept charging it, his body glowing brighter and brighter the longer he charged it. After a grueling sixty seconds, he released the blast, not at the ground, but at the sky, and into the clouds. What occurred next would do quite a bit of damage. Lightning seemed to strike at a rate of thirty bolts per second and all around the city. The bolts were seemingly aimed at people, hospitals, and schools, catching them on fire, vaporizing them, or making the buildings collapse and kill all who were inside. While this was happening, Draco let out another lightning blast towards the city, destroying more and more buildings, vehicles and people. The rate of the lightning bolts continued for ten seconds before going back to normal. The people that survived continued to fight among one another like wild beasts.

And all the dragon did was laugh.

Aschen High Space Command
Reverence I 'Nascent Echo'

Off in the horizon, just beyond the city limits beheld a bulbous figure in the distance. The form of this alien vessel was rather easily recognizeable as the Aschen Reverence class planetary assault carrier. The Ship loomed in the distance and yet it silently began to creep ever so closer.

Admiral Shiela Nagala, though originally assigned to oversee the Home Fleet happened to have been in command of this magestic piece of Aschen military technology. She watched as the shadow dragon rampaged through the city. Her emerald green eyes surveyed the flickering three-dimensional representation of the city before them in total silence, despite the cacophony of noise and activity surrounding her.

A moment went by and she raised her slender fingertips, turning the hologram and plotting a wide path around the city. "AI, Perform these maneuvers and prepare for a full broadside, all deck guns primed and ready for discharge." She ordered, and the AI nodded in reply. "Affirmative, executing maneuvers."

Nagala took a step back, then took a deep breath.

"All hands Action stations!" She called out, and what was a low drumming sound of chaos, became an excited state, the crew ran to their stations and everyone prepared for battle. All while this lone raven haired woman stood ensconced in the ships Combat Information Center, surrounded by flickering screens and displays that kept her up to date on her surroundings.

The ship itself lurched forward, and those outside and beyond, especially those within the City itself would hear a deafening crack, which escalated into a low thundering growl slowly increasing in both pitch and volume.

A towering Wing City skyscraper loomed behing Felix and Jessica, however, so did the deafening roar as the three mile long, alien and bulbous Aschen Reverence Class Carrier passed over them. The sounds could be described as standing up close to a fully throttled jet engine. The massive ship passed overhead no more than a thousand meters above them, allowing the pair to fully appreciate the mechanical detail of the belly of this ship. Once the ship had passed over them, it rapidly began to climb and gain altitude, circling broadly around Draco like a vulture eyeing it's prey.

Aboard the ship's CIC Nagala looked on, then turned to the flickering representation of the ship's AI.

"Commence fire."

Nearly a dozen deafening thunderclaps followed, and the ship unleashed a full broadside of Turbo-disruptor shots towards the dragon being, one after another as the volley of green bolts careened towards the beast, each carrying the explosive force of a small thermonuclear explosion, capable of liquefying concrete and metal alike in a violent explosion of thermally expanding air, liquefied debris, and shrapnel in all directions.

Nare was running down the street, running away from an old lady swinging her purse at him. He didn't understand why that was happening, but he didn't think it would be right to fight back. The mist that was causing everyone else to fight seemed to not affect the recently raised Zombie, as he didn't need to breath anymore. As he kept running, he could see other people were fighting all around him. He barely registered them in his mind as he kept running.

He looked up and could see what looked like a giant shadow monster rampaging the streets. Nare didn't know what to do, so he turned around and tripped the old lady, making her fall to the ground. He didn't care if she were hurt from it though. It freed him from being chased for a little bit of time.

He then yelled over the fighting, "Just what the hell is going on?!" He looked around, wondering just what to do.
