Profile

Age: 17

Height: 6'

Build: Toned / Athletic Ectomorphic

Ethan stands at 6', his posture slightly slack and his hands usually stuffed in the abysmal confines of his jean pockets. His hair is long and black, flowing down across his boyishly-handsome face and ash grey eyes. While not terribly strong or muscular on first-glance, Ethan's physique is toned and athletic; hardened from an impoverished childhood riddled with pain and stern labor.

His clothing is simple and plain; the young man usually preferring darker colors and neutral themes in his attire. Most often Ethan can be seen dressed casually in a long jacket thrown over a loose T-Shirt, matched unimpressively with a pair of faded jeans and ragged-but-sturdy sneakers. Despite his unimposing apparel, Ethan exudes a dark and strangely attractive aura. He's the 'loner' type, keeping quietly to himself in the solace of his mind. The mystery boy standing idly in the corner.

But Ethan's most fascinating characteristic is also his most tragic: Ethan is an empath. Endowed with the uncanny ability to read and absorb the feelings and emotions of other sentient beings, empathy is as much a curse to Ethan as it is a gift. It is a force the young man struggles to suppress every day of his life for the sake of his own sanity; to block out the pleading sensitivities of every passing cry-for-help in every tormented soul.

Nonetheless, Ethan understands the usefulness of his abilities. Not only can the young man feel-out the sensations of others, but he can destroy them completely... by taking them upon himself. Grief, anger, insanity, addiction, and every pain be it physical or psychological... Ethan takes them all... and destroys himself piece by piece in doing so.

With no sense of purpose or direction, Ethan's life was in a downward spiral. The boy appeared destined to die a young man, until he was saved from an early grave by a Terran Militiaman. After assessing his power and determining his strength, they offered him a position among their ranks, promising him a new life and the training he needed to understand his abilities. With little alternative, Ethan agreed, eager to find his place in the world and master his wretched curse.

Equipment

Besides his casual attire, Ethan typically has his wallet on-hand, a meager supply of Terran credits available to him at any given time. His license is valid, and the boy is not smiling in his frame-picture. A small pocket-knife is usually accessible to him, confined safely somewhere in his jeans. Besides all of this, Ethan often carries a small notebook and ink pen in which he keeps a collections of hand-written poetry.

So begins...

As she had done before, Stryfe sat her desk. A pen moving swiftly along a piece of paper. She was writing another letter, this one less of a call to arms like the last. This was where the brainpower came into play. Where she saw who was serious and who wasn't.

She wrote, 'Hello again, captain, officer, prime minister, ambassador, colonel, general, director, president, senator, or congressman, whomever you may be. Once again, my name is Fatin Alfarsi, you may, or may not, know me, but I am one of two heads of the organization known as The Invictus.

To those who have met with me, and those who haven't had the chance but are still interested in reforming Terra, I ask that you attend a meeting of minds. Send those who call the shots for your organization, nation, clan or army to a neutral location we all agree upon to discuss where we'll go from here.

We have to discuss the organization of our military and intelligence forces, get them used to working together, which there will be much of in the future. We need to get our mouthpieces, our would-be politicians, used to making choices together. We have to discuss how we'll handle the crime on our planet, the anarchy, the war with the Taiyou.

Until we're organized, we have no real power. Until we're working as a cohesive unit, we can't squabble as a cohesive unit. This is our chance. I suggest meeting in Solinus City, it's much safer than Wing City, and nicer to look at.

Personal Phone: 213-489-2732.
E-mail: BigKahuna@various.
Address: The Palace @ 9001 Main Street, Wing City.

Finishing the letter, Stryfe handed the letter off to her bodyguard, Natasha. "Take this to the Veritas. Make sure it gets all those I designate." Stryfe informed the woman. "You got it." Natasha said, making her way to the exit.

The large unmarked ships facing off with their Terrans and their allies began to open fire. The Invictus, the Terrans and the NPA moved to avoid the attacks, firing their own weapons at the ships in hopes that they would destroy their attackers.

Alas, many ships were destroyed by the sudden barrage from the superior ships. These new alien vessels. Several larger Invictus ships moved up, the ships being used to protect their allies while they scrambled to figure out what exactly was going. how they could fight back.

"Can we get the militia up here?" Lieutenant Murs asked, "What about the superhero lady from the Invictus?" He asked his crew, "We'll get in touch with the Invictus on the ground and see what can be done." A crew member told Murs, "We need as many of our troops we can muster up for this fight." Murs added.

Ships continued to be destroyed in the fighting, whoever these people were they came with enough firepower to start the big bang all over again if they really wanted to.

More and more ships began to join the fray against the unknown beings attacking Terra, from the ground one would likely see the bright flashes as ships, missiles and torpedoes exploded.

The attacking ships began to move towards Terra yet again, still firing at the planet's defenders while being fired on themselves. It was clear that it was going to take a lot to bring these ships down.

Several of the larger Invictus ships fired concentrated beams of energy which glowed a bright blue at Terra's attackers. The beams meant to bypass any shields they had and do a lot of damage to the alien vessels. Anyone on the ground could see the beams cutting through the empty space above the planet.

The attacking ships continued on their path, either unaffected by the attacks or completely ignoring them. It could have been that was a kamikaze style attack. A suicide mission meant to kill as many people as possible if it could be done.

The attacking ships fired off what appeared to be large orbs at the planet. They were big enough to hold at least ten people in each. There seemed to be hundreds being fired, more than a thousand.

"Shoot those down!" Murs ordered, several ships turning their weapons on the orbs falling from the sky. But, it was clear that they couldn't destroy all of them. For every one blown up, there were five entering the atmosphere at high speeds and they'd hit the planet soon.

Murs expected the worst, explosions, devastation. But, it never came. The attacking ships continued on towards Terra, seemingly intent to crash land on the planet.

On the surface of Terra, Stryfe stood on the roof of The Palace with Anodyne, Natasha and Sonia. "Aschen?" Stryfe asked, looking around for an answer. "I doubt it. Our people are saying there aren't any markings. Why would the Aschen suddenly want to be secretive?" Natasha asked, shrugging a shoulder.

"Mobilize everyone. NPA, TIB, even the Taiyou. I have doubts that these new... invaders? Terrorists? Are friendly." Stryfe said, "Is it all the murder they just did that gave it away?" Sonia asked, one of the large orbs slamming down on the roof near the group.

"Fuck!"

Jay Null opens his comms, reaching out to the vessel he notices off his bow.

Is everything okay out there? Do you need a terrestrial assist?
he asked inquisitively.

Outside of orbit around the planet Terra.

A medium-sized ship, shaped like a triangle with a blunted end, moves slowly towards Terra and the space station above it. The shape and size of this ship may have been seen before, but this one in particular has never been witnessed by any Terran, or as a matter of fact, any species or beings besides the ones who had made it. If they were able to trace it's origins, then it would point to an unexplored area known generally as RA-619, and even more specifically the Glendathu system. The doesn't seem to be armed, and a scan for life would only turn up three humanoid beings.

The ship made no advances of any sort towards the planet or the station, and seemed to just be there. Watching. Peaceful, it seemed, and the crew had no intentions of attacking. But they were truly awestruck. In front of them was a culture, a sophisticated one, unseen to any of their people, and they didn't know how to feel about it. They were just awaiting orders at this point.

Jay Null shrugged and closed the comms. The traffic in the Terran orbital was bustling as usual, an economic boom brought on by the prolonged period of peace. Alas, he knew the endless waltz of history, and had work to do.

Tapping a few buttons on his console, he maneuvered down towards Wing City Spaceport, leaving a faint thruster trail in his wake.

Professor G spotted the shooting star from his view out the station window, and gave an exasperated sigh.

What's this, another Gundam?
he opined, wondering if his cohorts thought the same.

Master O nodded in agreement.

Very well. I'll tell the others.
he said, before grabbing his coat from the rack and departing for the docking bay.

Meanwhile, a Gundam truly had breached the atmosphere and entered Terra's lower orbit, coming from Wing City. It was an old AEU-09 AEU Enact Space Type from long ago. As it ascended, it transformed into it's space-faring flight mode shape.

The name of the Gundam was Sol Senshi- and nobody was supposed to be operating it. It had been refurbished for unknown to the public purposes and locked down, hiding in plain sight in Wing City Spaceport.

Who was even operating it?

Whoever they were, they were certainly a criminal now.
