Exile Nedna'i

Half Gypsy, Half barbarian. Exile feels an outcast wherever he goes.

0 · 142 views · located in The Hidden Glen

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by BigNTasty

Description

Name: Exile Nedna'i (translates to "Outcast of the Enemy")
Age: 26
Sex: Male
Occupation: Bounty Hunter / Gypsy
Vocation: Rogue Barbarian

Appearance: A huge specimen, Exile stands nearly 7 feet tall with a thick sturdy frame. To Gypsies he feels like a hulking Barbarian, and to Barbarians, he looks like a thieving gypsy. In fact, both races are correct in their assumption as he fits in with neither group. He wears excessive jewelry, a sign of riches or a sticky fingers. He may have tattoos, but they are all hidden except for the two wavy lines on his cheek.

Personality

While he is an accomplished and utterly feared presence on the battlefield, he will attempt to avoid violence whenever possible. He feels deep compassion for his enemy when he must pick up his weapon against them. Once he understands that physical conflict cannot be avoided, he moves with an aggression and focus thought impossible among the mortal races. Exile is capable of such ferocity because he does not believe that his body, or even his soul belong to him. They are only instances of a greater being that unifies all things, that he is acting by the will of the creator. He has no fear of death and runs toward it willingly, sometimes desperately in order to accomplish his goals.

A half barbarian, half rogue is something rare to find in the world. Exile's habits follow mostly after his mother, who he was raised with for a short period. The gypsies are a people of deception and subversion, Exile takes great pride in this. Raiding and stealing from others is considered a honorable way of life among the gypsy, for this reason, Exile loves to use stealth, illusion, and slight of hand in order to acquire what he desires.

Exile cannot deny the barbarian in his blood though. While the gypsies can usually control their emotions, rage is something that can creep up on Exile. Should Exile's emotions be pushed the wrong way, the huge man may become enraged, seeing red and losing control of his actions. This extreme reaction to rage has not entirely hindered Exile though, in fact, it has saved his life on numerous occasions. Due to his Barbarian blood, Exile actually grows faster and stronger the closer he comes to death. He does not fear pain and knows full well that a strike landed against him will only serve to make him stronger if he survives. He is not afraid of taking a blow for an ally for this reason, because the enemy that was foolish enough to stand against Exile will feel the wraith of an over grown berserker.

Equipment

Exile's favorite form of combat is knife combat. He will strap as many knives and throwing daggers to this body as possible before a fight and is rarely found with less than half a dozen blades at any time. Exile also uses axes and tomahawks with a lesser frequency, but usually keeps a pair on his hips. Currently, Exile only has one sacred rune weapon from his tribe: Kelens Dagger. He also carries a bow, though this is used more often for hunting as Exile prefers getting very close to his enemy.

Kelen's dagger of escape - With the use of the dagger, Exile can instantly teleport a short distance away. Use of this ability is limited by the energy in the blade, which is gained back through rest, or with a death blow delivered by the blade.

History

There are those who choose not to live in one of the great citys. Instead, they live their lives in small villages or nomadic tribes. There are most certainly perils in these untamed lands, but there are also great freedoms that come from being removed from the politics of society. Exile was a member of one of these nomadic Gypsy tribes, a large child of surprising strength. Born in a grassy clearing under a red moon, Exile has always been compelled by the primal drive within him. His will was not untempered, simply undomesticated.

His father,

Image

a huge and brutal barbarian hailing from a stalwart tribe of people known as the Apachu, who still revere combat and war as penultimate art forms. Long since banished from their ancestral lands, they are considered by many to be the most savage race of humans to ever grace the battlefield. Each member of the tribe is bred to be a disciplined and vicious warrior, preferring to battle only when outnumbered at least ten to one. Apachu warriors are trained not only to be as lethal with their bare hands as the most capable martial artists, but also to fiercely wield the many relic-weapons of the tribe. Exile, this stone-faced warrior is a paragon of his people, his very existence an anthem of exultation to the art of combat.

His mother,

Image

An apprentice of a legendary creature from Aiur and a psychic adept who specialized in strategic assassination for the Council. As she imbued Exile with her teachings, his psionic abilities manifest in and out of combat, and can be used to amplify damage while attacking, to protect him from enemy assault, or cloak himself invisibly before lashing out at an unfortunate passerby. And so more often than not, the foes that encounter Exile on the battlefield find themselves dead and buried, their lives cut short as he fades back into the shadows, waiting for a new prey.

It seems unimaginable that such a threatening figure would be allowed to remain at large within the Multiverse. There are those that believe he is an assassin for hire, left to roam until he is needed. Others believe that Exile is simply too clever, evading authorities at every turn. Still others believe that he is the demonic manifestation of humanity's dark urges, and therefore cannot be stopped.

Exile Nedna'i enters the bar for the first time. Not knowing what to expect was an understatement as he is greeted with a display of lightning. In all his travels, he has never seen creatures like this before.

Exile Nedna'i entered the bar for the first time since he arrived in the Multi verse. The 7 foot gypsy was quite a specimen to come across, but running into him in a bar makes one wonder: 'do I wanna be around something so large, when hes drunk.' The giant blond man found an empty stool at the bar.

Exile Nedna'i "Lha cha eh. Tsa e' donin ee" Exile said in a truly deep and calm voice. The sound originated from deep within and could be felt vibrating through the air several feet away. The bartender looked at him confused at first, twisting his head. After a few seconds of the two trying to communicate, the bartender brought him a large beer.

Exile Nedna'i The language was one of a nomadic people, so the bartender remembered after a bit that it was from a race of raiders. Brutal people that took great pride in their ability to cause conflict and take from others around them. Exile took a large, refreshing sip from his bottle of beer and circled his bar stool. He was next to girl with glasses, sipping on some lemonade. He turned to her (giselle Monroe) and asked "Din neh eh'? Doh'ha chi yali tchi"

Exile Nedna'i The over grown man had long blond, braided hair that seemed much too well kept for a raider. They were typically dirty people, but Exile was a man of wealth, he had jewels and smelled of cinnamon. His gaze was captured by the girl with new cloths, she truly grabbed him with her entrance. Her offer for free drinks was kind, though he already had a cold beer to last him a few minutes. He smiled at her but with the inability to speak the common language around the bar, he had to settle with body language. He understood them well, but was insecure about his english. He nodded at Giselle, smiling and sipping.

Exile Nedna'i Exile's half elfish ears perked at the talk of Cancer. It was only a week ago that he met a man that discovered the cure for this all too common human disease. As the desire for speaking returned to his mind, he felt the warmth and nudge of someone close behind him. Her turned to find nobody seated close, but looking closer revealed the woman on the other end of the room. She was a half elf as well, something so clear to Exile he could not restrain himself from approaching her. The overgrown half elf approached the woman and sat next to her. He desired to speak more, but had to settle for few words. "Hello, blue eyed girl"

Exile Nedna'i did not go without noticing Briena's drifting eyes. He pretended not to see her and continued drinking his beer. She spoke with music, a common thing among the natives, though her's was northern type. Exile was growing quite fond of her character, she was secure of a herself and need not worry about the silly happening of the bar. "Beh'eli doh'be cah ali tas ai..." Exile blushed for a moment, gathering himself and attempting again. "I come here to rest. I know not of this place, or its people. Only there are many types" Exiles voice was slow and deliberate. "What tribe do you hail from?"

It was a strange sight to see the giant man blush, such a paragon of a warrior, with a moment of softness. His eyes lit up as she spoke again. Her voice was lovely, but it was what she said that surprised him so. "You have no tribe as well? I have forgotten to introduce. Exile Nednai." (Translation Outcast of the Trouble Makers, Trouble Makers is the name of his former tribe) He pulled his hair back around his half elfish ear, revealing his race, and then reaching over and tugging playfully on the top of her ear. "One of us without a tribe is not so common. At least now, i cannot be alone, so long as there is another like me close." Exile had a sincerity in his voice that couldn't be denied. He truly missed having a tribe, or at least a place to call his own. Before he appeared too soft though, he turned away from her and finished his beer. "Can I get you something? I'm getting another beer."

contemplated the idea of being forced into marriage. It had been years since he had known a woman in that way, and even then it was only puppy love. The situation was no so bad for a woman, at least she gained wealth, a home, and security in exchange for her presence. The thoughts were meaningless though as Exile knew little about marriage.

It seems like she could not leave, like she was stuck in this situation, and was too scared to venture into the unknown. Exile, was the opposite. He welcomed, and even sought out what he did not yet understand in hopes of expanding his awareness of the world. "Perhaps one day, you will go away from this place for good. There are so many things to see, and to experience. Why stay?"

Exile stood up and began to move toward another beer, but as he did, as if by magic another bottle appeared in his hand. He was startled and did not trust at first, having to sniff the bottle to make sure it was real. "How did you do that?" he asked. He wanted something different, but he could not let her display go unappreciated. He took a sip of the cold beer and was at ease that it was not tainted. Simply more of the same.

was intrigued by the elf's ability with conjuration. Exile was not as familiar with magic himself, understanding only a small amount of illusion magic. He continued sipping his conjured beer and sat himself back down. Though he could feel Briena's seeming disinterest in their conversation. She dipped her ice water while looking off into the distance.

"A wife can be a warrior. I know many women that are proof of this truth back in the desert." Exile pointed toward the door of the bar, back toward the open plains that his people called home. "But when you are a wife, it is not your fight any longer."

Exile searched the bar for the new faces. Briena spoke the truth as dozens of people seemed to shuffle in and out of the bar at all times of day. Most of them though, were not worth meeting. They were silly people that constantly sought conflict, such is not the place to find a husband.

Exile Nedna'i was also growing disinterested in the happenings of the bar. It was inhabited by the lowest of society. The thieves, the whores, the murderers. Exile wondered what had brought him here in the first place. And how could he have met another noble half elf like Briena in a place like that.

"Yes, lets leave this place. I remember now why I so prefer nature to society."
Exile stood and offered his arm to Briena to escort her outside. He was not yet sure where they were going, but anything would be preferred to this filthy place. As the pair got outside, Exile whistled for his mount. Seconds later, a powerful howl was heard echoing through the hills. Exile's beloved wolf came rushing out of the shadows, anxious to be reunited with his master.

The wolf was absolutely and unnaturally massive, easily capable of being mounted by Exile and another. His face was vicious, with a large snarling maw full of teeth, but its eyes were playful and happy like a child. The wolf was overly excited at first, but settled down as Exile grabbed it by the coller. "Ngun'goc ca nhan cái teh" He said to the wolf, and he wolf kneeled before Brienna. "Please." he said, offering his hand so that she may hop onto the wolf first. They were both going to have to ride bareback, but this did not seem so strange for half Elves to do. Exile would hop infront of Briena after she was on, and then ask where to guide the huge, mystical wolf.

Exile Nedna'i Banehallow instinctively followed the huge white wolf, intrigued by her elven presence and eerie grace. He pumped his strong legs with incredible power, one wondered if there were anything in existence that could slow this beautiful beast. Exile held tight on the fur of his mount with his right hand, his left hand out to the side for balance and stability. As the three of them left the confines of teh city, Exile could feel the natural world fill his body with energy.

Briena stood in a beam of moonlight like a goddess in her wolf form. Nature was playing a song for the couple that night. As a lilting tune drifted through the forest. Exile dismounted as Briena shifted back into her humanoid form. He patted his canine friend on the head and Bane leapt into the shadows of the forest. A pair of glowing red eyes peared back at Exile and Briena through the darkness, but these soon faded into nothingness as Bane returned to the shadows. "What is this place Briena? It is magical."

Exile Nedna'i Exile was growing worried. He did not know why Briena brought him here, and its seeming inviting nature was something that demon often used to lure in the weak minded mortals. There was more magic than what made him comfortable, all of these things together were beginning to make Exile feel uneasy.

Exile was still uneasy about the whole situation. She seemed like a kind girl, though this only made Exile more suspicious. Why had she taken him away from the others? Its true the Bar was mad house, but now in their privacy, Exile did not feel more at ease.

Was she seducing him? This didn't seem the case either, as Exile seemed to be making the advances. He decided to come a little closer and see, though kept his guard up. He came and also assumed a lotus position on the grass, displaying his calmness of body despite being so freaking large. "Do you know the ways of Yoga? The path to enlightenment?"

said "Yoga is the way to approach life though it is often confused with training used to strengthen the body with calm, controlled movement that shares the same name. It is much more than that though, it is the path to spiritual growth, the most important thing for every person to do their entire life." Exile moved his hand through the air and began to draw a rune with the glowing trail left behind his fingers. "Gnana Yoga, The path of Love, Bhakti Yoga, The path of Knowledge. And Karma Yoga, the Path of Action. Would you like to know more?" Exile's rune looked something eastern. It resonated a tone through both people, massaging their insides with a gentle vibration.

"Kind of, but dance comes and goes. The path of Yoga does not stop, it is a state of constant action, that governs every action you take during every moment of life. It governs the mind and intellect and keeps them focused on a single goal, so that the body can remain constantly engaged in positive action. The past and the future mean nothing when compared to the now. That is Karma Yoga, the path of Action, my Yoga."

Exile knew of the half elven ways, he too shared her touch of music and was raised by the elves for a brief time. His philosophy however, was human. "What happens when you dance Briena? In what way do you succeed? "
