Feather Scream

Magical Sassy Wolf

0 · 305 views · located in Blackrock

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by ~Blitzfire~

Description

Appearance
Feather Scream has a feathery, light brown tail, brown fur and feathers, and a tan stomach. Her wings are like a golden eagle's. They are light earthy color with a few dark brown patterns on the edges. She has a brown tuft of fur that sticks up on the lower part of her head. She is very large, larger than many male wolves, and can be quite intimidating. In human standards, she's as big as a horse.

Personality
Feather Scream is very prideful and cocky. She can be full of herself sometimes and comes off as rude. Deep down inside though, she is very honrable and loyal to those she trusts.

Strengths
Feather Scream's wings are her greatest pride and joy. She can harden them on command into an unbreakable rock-like state and slam them against an opponents, causing devastating damage to bones and internal organs if aimed correctly. The fur on her back and her sides can also harden and turn spiky. Her bones are almost unbreakable and if an opponent tried to break them, they would do more damage to themselves than to Feather Scream. She can also withstand blazing temperatures up to 800 degrese Fahrenheit. She has great stamina and can run and or fly for amazing distances.

Weaknesses
Feather Scream may be extraordinarily powerful, but she had her fair share of weaknesses too. The her tail and stomach are often left unprotected from all the attacking she does and cannot be hardened like the rest of her fur. Water also slows her down a lot due to super absorbency rate of her fur. It makes her very tired much quicker and easier to take down. Cold temperatures are hard of her too. It seeps the energy out of her and can freeze her wings. In general, she is slower than many of the other creatures. Due to her size, it's harder to beat others in things like races and attacking speed.

History
As a pup, Feather Scream already showed a talent for battle. She played roughly with the other pups and loves listing to tales about heroes and villains from her parents. Her parents began to teach her all sorts of tricks and moves to use in the heat of battle and she absorbed every detail like a sponge. She grew up like any other pup would and tried to practice with her parents every day. Later, her parents died in a battle with an alien species but that's how they would have wanted to die. Soon, the same alien species that claimed her parent's life came back and tried to enslave her race. She fought back, but not before loosing a large chunk of the population. Eventually it became too much, some wolves escaped with Feather Scream on a star ship and ran across the galaxy as far as they could go. They landed on a distant unpopulated planet and began to settle, but not Feather Scream. She wanted to experience even more. She stowed away on another ship and that's how she's been living. From ship to ship and without getting caught.

When she stowed away on her thirteenth ship in a row, she remembers attacking the members out of necessity but doesn't recalling after that. She awaoke on a dark dusty planet officialy known as Black Rock.

So begins...

Feather Scream slowly opened her dark eyes. It took her a few moments to process it but it looned as if she were in a desert arena. She lifted her head but immediately recoiled in pain. It felt like she was shot in the head with a laser gun or something. Was she? Well, if that was the case, the earth wolf couldn't remember. "Great Lupa," she muttered. She tried standing once again and managed to roll onto her stomach. She stretched her long, dust coveted wings and winced as she felt a pulled muscle protest at her stretching.
At a closer inspection of herself, Feather Scream noticed all the dried blood covering her spiky brown fur. Wasn't herrs though, it smelled like those man-spawn from before that tried to kick her off the ship for being a stowaway. She painfully managed to pull herself up and hobble in the direction of the strongest smells of man-spawn and other creatures. It was faint but it was there.

Feather Scream reached the city area and instictively began to follow the scent of food, but then stopped herself. What would the people do if they saw a massive winged wolf covered in blood? Probably nothing good. Then again, she was very hungry but had no money. Perhaps she could play a dumb animal and beg? Possibly. So Feather Scream began to follow the scent again, and it led strait into a bar.

Mae jumped at the sight of what looked like a dog, covered in blood. Instinctively, she reached for her sword. The animal gave her a skeptical look. It seemed to have bruises and cuts all over, and one of it's eyes was black and completely closed. Mae's ears twitched as she remembered hunting wolves in years before. She withdrew her sword, pointing it at the beast. A firm hand gripped her shoulder. "Be courteous of other customers, lady. I've had enough blood spilled on these floors." Mae turned around and faced the bartender, reluctantly sheathing her sword. "Fine."

She walked back to her seat, still looking warily at the animal. The dark-clothed companion at t he other table stroked her pet thoughtfully.

The Bar door opened. A huge wolf came in, and Night was in front of me, hissing. "Hey, Night, calm. Don't let your guard down, but let me handle this one. go over to Mae, be gentle, she's kinda scared of us, and I don't blame her. And keep her off a that wolf, would ya?" I take out my finger blades, and mutter something in a different language. within seconds, I turn into a black wolf, with piercing blue eyes, and black angel wings. Scars down my neck and back, showing no expression. I bark something, again, showing no emotion, allowing it to make the first move. I bow respectfully, as this was another it seemed of my kind, a winged-wolf shifter. "So, you new too? Look, you may be a little freaked out by me, or not. But I have no reason to hurt you, or that girl Mae over there. Darnit! I've done it again! Stupid being able to know everybody's names! Anyway, name's Alex. ALex Redwood. And you're...Ah, yes. Feather Scream. Pleasure meetin' ya. Oh, and over there's My panther, Night. You lay a claw on me, and...well. ya know, he'll teach you a lesson. I don't know why I'm here, although frankly it's better than being in jail because you tried to...er...well that's a long story for another time." I shift back real quick. "Mae, don't worry, I got this." shifting back, I remember. "Fish sticks! I did it again. Man, honestly Alex, control yourself!. Oh yeah, by the way, I'm Scottish." What am I doing?! Revealing all my secrets...well they don't know Icame from...jail....but they probably already guessed. "hey, my face is bleeding...well that's nice." I say, realizing a cut opened again.

A small black orb would come floating in. It would stop ten feet from the beings in the room and reveal a green iris. After a few moments of remaining still, it would begin moving around and scanning the the beings there.

"Hmmm...hmmm...hmmm..." The orb would begin to let off a green light from it's softball sized form as it hummed.

"So....This is interesting...Who might you fine people be?" The orb spoke.

I walk over to Mae, shifting back human again. "Don't give it your name, not yet." I whisper into her ear.
"Look bud, I don't know who you or your orb thing is, but I wouldn't make the wrong move, or you'll be sorry. There's two skilled girls, a panther, and two flying wolves. not a pretty group." I flick out my "metal claws" and run my finger across, a little blood dripping out.

"That is very welcoming, but it is just me, a lonely orb...I don't wish you harm, but if you want it, please do attack. If not, then listen to what I have to say..." The orb spoke before moving a few feet to its right.

"I come bearing a gift for this land...We will bring civilization, law, military...we will bring life to this place. I am offering you the chance to take part in this development. If you choose to assist, you will be granted power and control...So please choose wisely and join me in my conquest." The orb spoke to the beings in the room.

The orb would begin to glow a bit brighter, letting off a green spark every so often. It was gathering energy, but not for an attack. It's iris would move from being to being, creature to creature, as it waited for a decision.

(The orb is a solid, it's not cut. It was floating around.)

"Good. First off, when my people come through the vortex i'm going to summon, please stay out of their way. There will be heavy construction and military presence. You can do as you please, whether you want to assist in construction or military. I will have one of the higher ranked Demiarchals to talk with you and give you more insight on what will happen. We are extremely pleased that you are in support of the Demiarch Empire bringing life here."

The orb spun around in a circle, returning to it's original position. The green color on the orb would begin to glow brighter as the air behind it began to spin and fuse with the green energy. The orb was beginning the summoning of it's vortex. This vortex was going to be the gate to a new era for this world, and so far, the people agreed.

He walked through the vortex, his hands hidden by the cloak around him, his face hidden as well. "Well then, looks like you got here pretty easily", he said to the orb and then looked around the room. He could feel the presence of the other beings in the room and took note of any magical aura, of witch there was little to none. He then noticed the four limp men on the ground. He turned back to the orb, "Tell your master that I have gotten here fine, and that he better tell me the whole reason for contacting me next time he needs me." Turning back to the others, he spoke, "So, you have questions, I can answer them, so let us begin."

"We are the Demiarch Empire, the children of The White Sun. I am one of multiple beings known as Eyes of the White Sun. I cannot cause you harm directly, so you do not have to worry about me. In many languages, I am what is considered a 'prophet' and he is my 'disciple'. I bring a message that can not be spoken of but by the works of our hands. We seek peace, but we are willing to do what it takes to ensure peace. So join us, fear us not, and accept the ways of The White Sun, and together this 'cursed' place can become a power in this realm. One that will be sought by many empires, but will never suffer. So answer shortly, because our work is about to begin." The orb spoke before the vortex would glow a bright green.

The vortex would become engulfed in green energy for a minute. The green faded away and left a vortex that would remind the room of a black hole. From the opposite side, hidden by the vortex, being would exit. The vortex, being rather close to the front entrance, would allow this first group of three to vanish outside without any detection. Following these three would begin the actual workers who would make this thing happen.

Three beings made of a stone and garbed in a black camouflage uniform with the Star of Luciphaeus(A crimson, side-ways Star of David) on the right shoulder, harboring rifles made of a metallic stone, would exit the vortex and pivot to the left, taking a defensive formation facing the group. Three more would roll around the right of the vortex with an offensive formation in the situation that the other group had been attacked, they would surprise them. No shots were fired, but the soldiers kept their formation while a total of sixteen more soldiers would exit out the front door and begin to search the small, run-down, village built in the side of a rock.

Behind these soldiers, stone beings in construction style uniforms with blue hard hats, would exit the vortex. Each of these workers were carrying different tools. After about twelve exited, one would return in. Two of the workers would begin putting posts under the rafters of the second floor in the front of the room.

Once the posts were up, these same two laborers would take a saw that used a circular blade made of rampaging electricity. This blade would rip through wall along the top and down the sides. Once the saw turned off, they would take their right foot and stomp the side of wall. When they did, the forty-two feet long wall fell forward, creating a loud thud and sending a cloud of red dust up to fill the building and air outside.

"ALRIGHT! SEND 'EM THROUGH!" One of the laborers would yell.

As he did, construction equipment would begin rolling out of the vortex. The first piece was similar to a backhoe and the second piece was a large truck, about the size of a diesel truck. The top of this truck would barely miss the ceiling. In this truck was a load of shovels, maddixs, wheelbarrows, a variety of hand tools for digging, masonry, and concrete.

The laborers would grab shovels and wheelbarrows off this truck. They would take these tools and begin digging in the ground seeking a 32' wide, 18' long, and 8' deep. They would dig down through what seemed like a nutrient rich dirt when they reached two feet below the current ground level. The digging would stop about eight feet, through dust, dirt, rock, and rust. It was odd, the top two feet of soil was dead, literally dust and sand. Below this, it was capable to sustain certain breeds of plants. No matter, this was something the construction workers would only inform certain people of.

Two laborer remained behind to set the pipes, tech, and reinforcement. The laborers were lowered about forty-eight pipes, extending 10' in length and 4" in circumference. They would use a piece of equipment that blast through the ground with an electric beam, going the extent that the pipes would. This would literally vaporize the material in it's path, letting off nothing but a puff of steam. Following this, they would place the pipes with another piece of equipment that pushed them into the ground as the laborers connected the ends of the pipes together.

Next was a heavy duty wire caging that the laborers would lie across the ground, cutting out around the pipes. Following this, a piece of tech equipment was lowered. It was about three feet wide and two feet tall. The laborers would then connect this tech equip, which was a power generator, with the piping on the ground. They would then connect piping to the top of the tech, sticking it two feet above ground, and to the right of the vortex. It produced a thermostat that would fluctuate the temperature of the ground while producing energy through the blessing of Bio-Nuclear Tech.

Across the top of these pipes running from the tech, the laborers would place another round of wiring. Once done, they would hand up all the tools and climb out. These two laborers would then take off into the vortex. A few minutes later, they would exit and extend large rubber hoses, similar to a concrete hose, to the end of the hole. They would connect a tip to each one and hold the end in the air at their waist, with their dominant hand extended forward to hold the tip. A metallic concrete, known the Demiarchals as Cerenium would begin to flow into the hold from these hoses.

When the hole was filled 1'8", a laborer would lower itself into the hole, walking across the wire, and to the tech. It would then open a latch and place a glass canister inside it. Following the close of the latch, it would then exit and the Cerenium would begin flowing into the hole once again until it was two feet below the ground level.

Multiple laborers would begin placing 22" wide beams across the Cerenium, creating a solid ground to be crossed till it dried. It didn't take long after the hole was covered for equipment to start coming out of the vortex again. This time, there was an extra two feet. The paving equipment would begin their duty upon exit.

One large piece of equipment would use an electric rolling wheel to vaporize the ground to a level path for roads to be laid. The ground would then begin to be laid with piping and structural support. The piping would not connect to what was placed earlier. It would connect to other things.

Once done, a tanker style piece of equipment would exit the vortex, and behind it was a piece of equipment connected by massive hoses. These hoses would feed Cerenium from the tanker to the equipment, paving out a black Cerenium for these roads. For now, this would lock the beings in this building, taking about four hours to dry for walking, six for driving.

"So....Who's ready to bring life to this planet? Who's ready earn their spot in this realm and prepare their place in a home on the White Sun?" The orb chimed gleefully due to what had just begun.

"Well, I guess we are going to be here for a bit, so I might introduce my self", he said, flipping back the hood of the robe, revealing his short cut brown hair, grey eyes, and unsmiling face. "He" he pointed towards the orb, "If you call him a prophet, consider me the black hand of the Empire, AKA: I am a Demiarchal, second in command to the Demimarch himself, and good friend of said Demimarch." he said, moving towards the table in front of him, sitting down, he spoke again. "I am Jacob, Jacob Warren, Mage, Reaper, walker of realms, and General in the Demimraches army, as well as his adviser, so, who the fuck might you all be?" He could see the girl nervously grip her sword and he looked her way, "I don't advise drawing that sword, wont get you far against me", under his robes, out of sight of them, his own right hand griped one of the Kunai knifes he kept. It would take him nothing more then a slight flick of the wrist to send the knife in to the girls throat, it would be a waste of I admittedly good looking girl at most.

He could feel the stare of the people as he waited for there countless questions to bombard him and let his mind scan the surrounding universe. He could tell there were pocket of magic in this realm, mainly centered around two planets, well, one planet and one floating city. It was a forging magic to him, which was good as it meant most of it wouldn't be a threat to him.

A loud boom filled the room. One of the Demiarchal soldiers would place a round in the bottom of the wooden window frame, causing splinters to go flying. The other soldiers would raise their rifle at the window, following the girl as she would make her move. It was a bad idea for her to try and make a run like that.

Following the gun shot from the rifle, one of the soldiers would rush forward, aiming to cut the woman off from the window. These soldiers were not trained to play or let anyone escape. In their minds, with her fleeing, she could become a threat towards everything they were there to do.

One of the soldiers would yell towards the woman while everything was going on, "Ma'am! Cease! If you fail to oblige, we will have no other option but force!"

Hopefully the woman would get the point and stop in her tracks. Whether she would or not wouldn't really matter now. By the time the shot had hit the window and the soldier shouted at her, the three beings that had snuck out of the vortex earlier would be waiting outside the window for an exit.

The orb laughed a little bit before speaking to Jacob, "This woman will be a problem if she is not taken care of. You can take her and show her a kind hand if you find her possibly useful, or, if you think she cannot be converted, do what you must...Your decision."

The orb would remain in the room while the Cerenium roads would cure. The workers already knew what they were to do and would pave the complete stretch of roads for the base they would soon begin to build up. It would be a matter of days before the real construction would begin and the people here would see what they would receive.

This whole time, they haven't suspected a thing! They wouldn't suspect anything from a dang girl looking like a serial killer at age 13?! this is just truly sad. Alex whistled with her fingers, and Night jolted over, and with a look, they telepathically discussed the plan once more. She turned wolf form, and ran as fast as she could, catching a bullet in her leg. grabbing Mae in her mouth, with a disagreeing sound from her, I threw Mae onto my back, and flew off. looking behind me, I saw Night, captured in a net. another bullet hit me, this time in the side. after about a mile, which took only about a minute, They crashed into a dead forest. Alex was bleeding, in human form, and clutching her side. "Crap! Man, now they've got night!" I whistle as hard as I can, and surprisingly enough I hear him growl loudly, hiss, and whine. I sent a message- It's okay, we can get you out. I still have one escape wishes. but It'll take a sacrifice.

Jacobed sighed, gently getting up, he puched the seat back inder the table and turned to the orb, "Right." He took the girls way out, surprising the three soldiers standing there. After returning their salute, he began to use his instinks and training as a ninja, and by extention, a reaper. He stood up and began to walk in the direction he belived they run away in. Hid hood pulled over himself, he prepaired the spell that would alow him to teleport ( RoleplayTabbo, I know, I wont do it much out side of combat) that would fling him towards his prey... their I go again, thinking like a Demon thinking, he felt the shift of sight and sound, he ended up on a rock ridge, and looked around, seing his prey a good 2500 ft ahead of him. He thought back to the bar, and how he really didnt mean to let the chucle slip through his lips, but it was his humur. He crowched behind the rocks, waiting for them to advance.....he smiled when he saw one limping...

"I barely know you! Put...me..DOWN!" Mae tried to jostle herself from the animal's grip. Her arm bled profusely, leaving crimson drops on the rust colored dirt. The wolf let out a yelp and she was thrown from its back. Bullets whizzed by, and one grazed her leg. Mae cried out in pain. She tried to stand up, but started feeling dizzy. Her injured arm was covered in gritty sand, and she let her head fall back. She looked at the clear sky. Head pounding, she began to pull herself forward through the sand, each movement a stabbing pain. A tranquilizer dart flew by and stuck point-first into the ground. They were really after her. Tears streamed down her face as she made more effort to hide herself. Mae hunched over in agony. Her clothes were covered in blood. The adrenaline started to wear off, and the pain really began to set in. She stayed persistent, pulling her sword from its sheath. She dug it into the tough earth, in an attempt to give her some leverage. An abandoned tent sat lopsidedly against a wire fence. It was only about 8 feet away from her, but it seemed like 8 miles. Her vision began to cloud, and she started growing faint. "I'm sorry, Ariel." She slumped to the ground, unconscious.

"Such a shame... She could have been something. Maybe he can save them. Who knows? Time to begin rolling with plan." The orb spoke.

The orb would drift outside to the newly Cerenium paved roads. They were being laid out in a specific pattern through the fork in the valley. After about two and a half hours, smaller vehicles and equipment would exit the portal onto the Cerenium exit that was cured enough to hold their weight. The moment they would exit, they would turn off onto the compacted dust ground.

Most of these vehicles contained materials and scaffolding. Occasionally a truck would exit that looked like a convoy truck, but it was loaded with construction crews. Most of these trucks would head to three different points in the valley. It would appear as though they were preparing to build walls of some kind from side to side, and about thirty feet in height.

Trucks would begin to back up to the scaffolding and the laborers would begin to unload large, eighteen inch, solid blocks on the scaffolding. Here behind these trucks were silo parts that would be assembled once the heavy equipment could come through. For now, the scaffolding would continue to be stocked and ready for work.

As for the buildings already there, scaffolding would be built around them. Different styles of stone and brick were used on each building, so they would place the different materials at different points on the scaffold. The orb promised to bring life to this place, and it would do what was necessary to make it happen.

"I believe I should have the them send dirt from Ruula... These people need food." The orb thought before it turned to the room containing a few drunks.

"Would you all like to actually eat?" The orb inquired of the beings left behind, and they followed with a yes nod.

"I'll bring the dirt and water, you will bring yourself to work this. What you produce is all yours. Sell it, eat it, trade it, whatever. It will be your land." The orb spoke.

One drunk spoke up, "Tomorrow... we're drunk right now.", which was followed with a group chuckle among the drunks.

The orb would float away. It knew that they would when they were forced to, and that was all that mattered. It would go to investigate the scaffolding and count down the time before the Cerenium was cured and the work could begin. The orb was also wondering how long it would take Jacob to return.

Jacob hadn't meant to actually hit the girl, but his training with the 45. has proven to be more useful then needed. He began to walk towards her and found her lying in the sand, pretty much bleeding out all over the place, with a sigh, he knelt down, holstering the 45., he slipped a small medical kit from his belt and began to dress her wounds. After he had bandaged her wounds, and given her a heft dosage of pain killer, he set on to making a makeshift shelter. Using bits and bobs of the fence and the tarp, he made a Arabian style dessert tent, and made a fire to go with it. He used the last of the tarp to cover the girl up. Sitting down by the fire he took to looking at the girls Katana. He said soft "Hmm" as he looked at the blade, as it was a rather well made blade. The hilt was made with the best of craftsmanship that he had seen in a long time...it was the girls stirring from her sleep that broke him out o his trance. "So you awake"...

Mae's eyes fluttered open. A blinding fire made her shut them again. A bandage was tightly wrapped around her arm and leg, and a scratch from Alex's claws embellished her face. She attempted to sit up, but was held in place by a strong hand. Jacob's grey eyes stared at her, making her feel oddly vulnerable. She felt drowsy and a little distant, though she was unsure whether it was due to the painkillers or the blood loss. Mae wondered how Jacob had managed to catch up to her so fast. Mae watched Jacob as he fingered the hilt of her katana. She noticed something she hadn't really taken the time to notice before. He was devilishly handsome. She had been so caught up in the fact that he could probably kill her with a flick of his thumb, that she had failed to really observe it until now. She was still wary of him, however. If she could run again, she would. He pretty much had complete control of her survival now. Why did Jacob even bother saving her after trying to shoot her? Mae pondered in silence. He didn't seem like the type that would care much about an Elf, especially her. She finally spoke up. "My sword..." It was all she could force from her weak lungs. Jacob looked at her skeptically. "This old thing?"

Mae made a weak attempt to grab it, but was stopped by his sturdy grip on her shoulder. "You gotta lay down. I have had enough of your life essence staining my shirt." Mae looked at Jacobs shirt, now covered in her blood. "H-how long was I out?" He began to tell her what happened.
