He sat in his chair, watching his drink for some time now. He was sad, a bit depressed at what had happened, but he had to accept it. He took another sip of his drink, maintaining his clear head despite the alcohol, though his moderation of it probably helped.

He took out a picture of his family. He sighed, stuffing the picture back into his jacket pocket, before taking another sip of his drink, and then a bit of water and some of his steak. He heard "Born to be Wild" come on the Jukebox, and sighed. That was one of her favorite songs. He looked back out the window. This is a new start...you did all you could...you just have to move on.

Kenji entered Canti's looking a little worse for wear. While he wore a smile on his face he had a travellers cloak thrown over his shoulders, mostly to hide the dirty blue kimino he wore underneath. He approached the counter to speak to whoever served there, Asian accent strange as he spoke, "Ah, can I work here and have food?"

It wasn't just his clothing, though, it was also his facial hair. And his eyepatch. The thing cut through the mane of dark hair that crowned his face and obviously served the purpose of concealing his missing eye. At the back of his head his hair was pulled into a ponytail.

But probably most peculiar of all, he had a weapon. A lengthy, sheathed katana. It didn't look like a poor weapon either, quite nice and polished, like he had stolen it. It was hard to say.

Galvin noticed the man who entered, as he kept an eye always on his surroundings. Or at least he tried to, occasionally he was not always successful. He could not help but immediately take notice of the Katana. While it was sheathed, it looked far different then anything else this man had on him. He continued drinking his drink, deciding that perhaps it would be best not to examine every person who came in. But, he did take note of him, and tried to see if he could sense any danger from him.

He couldn't help but wonder if he had seen him before. But then again, he had seen a lot of people, and it didn't usually end well.

The woman behind the counter gestured for him to move over to a seat down the back and prepared a sandwich for him, quickly delivered if for no other reason than to keep him out of the way of other customers. He would quietly dig into the small meal, keeping to himself.

He watched as the man got out of the way, and other customers came in and ordered what they wanted. He figured this person probably was not out to cause trouble, or he would have done so by now. He returned to eating and drinking quietly, until he heard someone else shouting now.

"Everyone, down on the ground, or we start shooting!" one of them yelled. Galvin had not seen this coming, possibly because it wasn't really planned. Psychic powers can only go so far, and he was not looking for trouble, but one of them put a gun to the back of his head, and told him "Now".

In a flash, the guy was disarmed, the pistol was in his hand, and it was aimed at the other two. "I don't want any trouble, so if you just leave peacefully, we won't have a problem..."

Kenji, in the back corner, was too busy enjoying his sandwich to react. Or rather, he chose to be discreet. He didn't want to get involved in things happening to other people. A jerk move, yes, but other than the waitress he owed nobody here anything.

Being able to see them clearly now, they were young. Teenagers really. And scared. In fear, one of them raised his gun at him, while the other aimed it at some civilian who was doing what he was trying to. The third kid he had taken the gun from jumped off from the floor at him, for a reason he could not really tell, but he figured it might be something hormonal. That was something very hard to sense.

He didn't want to shoot them. He was tired of killing people. But they were a threat to all of the innocent patrons in here, as now they were threatening to kill them.

He looked at them, processing the scenario. Maybe he could just scare them into running away? That would be a nice change of pace. He would rather not shoot a kid, or anyone, but he would if he had to.

He had no intention though of making this new start start with violence. Though, when the man got up and went over in the direction of the waitress, he kind of questioned that mans sanity. However, before he could say anything, one of the more stupid ones pointed a gun at him and told him to get back down. "Hey. Listen. If you don't let these people go, the police are going to arrest you, or they are going to kill you. You see, the Silent alarm was pressed The police are on their way right now, if you don't leave they are going to catch you..."

They seemed confused, or stupid, enough to believe that, and ran. He then walked over to the waitress, and asked her and the man if they were okay, as well as paying for his meal. "That enough for everything?"

He looked at the man left with the blade. He felt like something was off with the man, but he wasn't one to just get into someone's business like that. However, he did have to question why the man got up when a bunch of kids with guns were in here. But, he saw no reason to ask this at the moment, so not seeing any reason to stay, he started to leave, before the waitress asked for his name. "Moriarty. Galvin Moriarty". The name had some sort of ring to it, as if it was a dangerous name, but the way he said it, implied there was some sort of history in it. With that, he left, to find his new place in this galaxy.

The setting changes from Canti's Diner to Wing City Spaceport

The Silent Child looked around. He knew his orders. He knew what would be waiting for him. His options: Escape, and his sister lives, Die, and his sister lives. However, if he was captured...they might kill her. Or worse. And if he did not kill himself, then they would anyways. Additionally, he questioned the Big Sister's sanity as Stargates do not have wires.

In the meanwhile, Galvin Moriarty had been walking by the spaceport when he saw the battle scared Space Port, and the turrets no one ever bothered to make sure they were all destroyed. There were like, 5 injured civilians, so he took out his Mark V Handcannon and finished them off. That's when he noticed the trail to the warehouse. He followed it, only to come across an assassin who looked...well, dark, but it didn't help he didn't see his face. So he tried to focus his power of empathy on him. And he could sense fear. Either the cops were afraid of him, which was unlikely, or he was afraid of something or another. Maybe the cops, but from the battle he saw, it looked like the Silent Child could have taken them both out if he had actually wanted to, but instead tried not to. Which was unusual for an assassin. The only reason Galvin knew this was because he was an Ex-Soldier, and he had seen Assassins operate before. And many of them were not as well armed as this one.

He then felt a sense of giving up, as the Assassin was about to pull out something, so he used the auxiliary firing mechanism, which is an electric shock that stuns the nerves and renders someone unconscious.

The assassin felt something hit him. "No...NO!" he screamed in his mind, but he could not speak. Everything went black.

Galvin looked at the Assassin, and then the cops. He went over to the Assassin, and revealed what he was about to do. A Nova Bomb, portable and deadly. It would have wiped them all out, and half of the Spaceport. But this Nova Bomb was in a special container that not even the most advanced sensors could penetrate. "Thought you needed some help there..." he noted.

He then added "I had no choice, but I don't think that was everything. I am an empath. Before he I felt him gave up, I felt fear...for something. I don't think it is safe to bring him out of this warehouse. If you hired an assassin, would you just let him be caught if you knew he was in danger? I think it might be best to not even report him captured yet, unless you want someone to hire mercenary kill teams to make sure he dies..."

"Just to base my experience off as a soldier. He was afraid of something, and it wasn't himself, and considering what I saw, it wasn't you either. But, that means his would-be killer is likely outside waiting for us, and I doubt I would be able to sense him out of thousands of people nearby. And that is if he is not going long range or orbital strike".

"Names Galvin Moriarty, by the way".

(This was the only way this would work out best RP wise following IC logic, hope ya don't mind)

Aiedail narrowed her eyes at Elizabeth, "As an Officer of the Wing City Police Department, you are required to uphold and respect the laws of the city!" she noted. As the Big Sister went on to destroy the stargate, however, it seemed that she was no longer in any fit state to try and murder the child.

As the child went limp in her grip, Aiedail turned to face the new arrival, blinking at him. She lowered herself to the ground as he approached, watching his movements warily. "Your assistance is appreciated, civilian." she stated, smiling.

It irritated her that she had not identified the bomb. She would likely have survived the blast, but the damage to the port would have been immense. It was questionable whether she could have identified what the thing was before the Child had a chance to activate it.

"This warehouse is not a secure location," the android went on, "Should you be correct, he would be safer within the security of a protected prison cell, guarded by the police department and national police agency. The Terran Navy fleet are currently in orbit, thereby making an orbital strike a near impossible task."

She knelt, swiftly cuffing the unconscious child and searching him for additional dangerous devices or weapons to remove from his person. "I intend to swiftly transport him to the police department, at which point my superiors will decide the course of action to take. It is not my place to decide to publicise a suspect's capture. He will be safe in my care, in the meantime."

(Oh, side note to all, while I am waiting for Rulke to post, I want to point out that A: A Stargate is not that easy to break, and would require a tremendous amount of force to do so, and B, it would result in an explosion that would end up killing all characters present when it was broken, so I am simply just saying you knocked it over which deactivated it).

(EDIT: Since Rulke wont budge, I have to write the following post. I imagine what is about to happen next will be very unexpected, but I have done research and thsi was discussed in OOC for at least 30 minutes. However, in the interest of cotniuing the story, there will be something I can offer...oh, and sorry, but in order to not screw over some post, I have to write Rulke's post as if it happened just right now after mine and Script's)

The Destablizaed Stargate began to explode, an explosion which would engulf the entire Spaceport. Galvin ducked out of the way with the Silent Child who he picked up, and who hit something in his pocket. The explosion would not only take out the entire spaceport, but spread radiation to the surrounding area as a result of the explosion. This explosion would break through any and all defenses, so nothing could survive.

At least, that's what they thought. Galvin kept the child's cloak, which was much larger then he thought, around them, after he realized what it was. The cloak was explosion, fire, and proof to various other things (This was mentioned days/weeks ago, either in OOC or IC), protecting them both who huddled in it and behind some cover of a wall. The cloak was made of some sort of strong, expensive fiber, clearly someone wanted to keep them alive, the the cloak was severely hot and could not take the whole blast. They were knocked really far away from the explosion, and Galvin took most of the impact because he hit the ground. Luckily, he was a soldier, so he could take it. However, he could feel himself aching and bleeding a little, and his left leg was broken. He thought some ribs were broken too, but he was in so much pain he could not tell. The Child, because he took most of the damage from the knock back, was not as hurt, but they both had burns. The cloak was the only reason they lived, and the fact he was quick to react. Anything that had been at the Heart of that explosion would have died instantly. Several Starships were damaged and knocked over. he could see others dead around him.

Not again...I can't let this happen again... He looked down at the child. "I need to get us to a hospital...". The Silent Child's Signal Hijacker was momentarily damaged in the explosion and the force of the landing, so people could call for help. A lot of stuff was damaged. When he touched his arm, it appeared to be broken as well. He could not stand up on his own.

He got out his communicator, and called 911. "Hello...we need help...the Spaceport just blew up I think...there was an explosion". He looked at the child, both of them in too much pain. Cries being heard all around them. But one thought came into his mind about the child. Now, who has the money and resources to give you something that only certain branches of the Pandorian Alliance's military use...

The explosion began, white hot waves of stargate undulating outward. Light itself knocked space ships on their side, entangled in one another instantly as the molten heat engulfed them. It wasn't just heat, though, flames licking at the blast radius even before the shine of destruction faded. Though many buildings nearby weren't flattened due to the sheer force of the space port managing to catch most of the blast, pieces of rogue space port caterwauled at the structures. Fires shot outward, some catching on to other buildings. An orange glow cast outward, smoke rising from the blast zone.

It's hard to say when the stargate ended and when Star Gate began to exist, but it was somewhere between the Big Sister and the call for help. Suddenly everything was white, then yellow, then orange. It was clear nothing in the immediate vicinity had lasted the impact of whatever had been.

Me?

Without even realizing it, a thought formed. The thought would realize, in due time, that it was attached to a form. A small form, a form that wasn't entirely there. A form which would be called Star Gate. For now, Star Gate sat where a stargate once was, not feeling much of anything at all. Star Gate wasn't sure of much besides essential existence. There was far too much chaos to discern the luminescent form of a not-quite child from the dancing fires and white smoke, even for the child.

The cataclysmic blast from the stargate had caused Aiedail to lose her grip on the silent child for long enough for Galvin to grab him and take cover beneath his cloak. The force and intensity of the blast cast the android backwards, though much of the energy was absorbed by her shielding.

When the smoke cleared, she pulled herself from the wreckage, battered and broken - much of her outer shell had been decimated. With each unsteady step she took, however, the damage seemed to be repairing itself. The smart nanoparticles that formed her were refinding their places and reconnecting themselves together. Before long, she had largely recovered full functionality, albeit looking a little worse for wear. Full repairs would have to wait until she could return to her ship.

The android surveyed the damage to the spaceport in dismay, wondering if the WCPD officer would have survived the blast. She was probably in trouble, if she had. Her scanners kicked in, and she quickly located the position of her target and the civilian that had appeared on the scene just prior to the explosion.

With her communications now unjammed, she patched herself into the WCPD frequencies that were going wild after the explosion. 'This is Aiedail of the Terran Militia. The explosion at the spaceport was the result of the destruction of a Stargate! The situation which led to that destruction is currently contained, but I would like to request the immediate extraction of a high-priority suspect to receive medical attention and be placed in a secure holding. This will enable me to remain here and dispense aid to the civilians affected by the blast.'

Aiedail finally turned to Galvin as she approached. "Are you alright?" she inquired, "I'm astonished you were able to survive that blast. I must examine that cloak at a later date to ascertain the technologies behind it!"

Jim was waiting for something that would distract people from noticing him walking through the spaceport with his cargo. If he was going to get it to sol tower he needed he needed a distraction. As soon as the explosion happened he knew that his distraction had arrived, Shadow was waiting for something like a cargo ship drop off so that he could just stroll along beside them as if he was apart of their operation. He had gotten more than he asked for.

As he landed he found an area which had not been touched by the blast, behind the crowd of people surrounding the explosion debris. Jim simply popped out of his ship with a large backpack, locked his ship up then moved in between the crowd to ensure no security cameras could follow him, nobody knew who he was but he knew it wasn't just security who had access to the cameras.

Jim noticed that an emergency exit door had been blown off, he looked through the door and noticed the exit had been demolished by the explosion and the corridor had caved in. 'damn' he thought. Jim made his way through the crowd again and noticed an exit that was being used by emergency teams and exiting crowds. Jim moved quickly and smoothly into a group of people leaving.

As soon as he got out of the spaceport he realised the masses of police, keeping his cool he just acted like any other person leaving the port pulling down his hood so that he that didn't look suspicious. He then entered the crowd looking at the blast pulling up his hood once again. 'wonder what happened here' he thought. Jim looked at his watch, 'I better wait and find out, they wont pull me up now i'm on the other side of the space port. Plus there is no way i'm leaving my ship without knowing that this place won't blow up again'

Jim felt the weight of the object in the backpack start to get to him, it was a not a huge parcel but big enough for Jim to have to use a large backpack to hold it in. He never asked what he was carrying just where he needed to take it. ' This better not take long' he thought.

There was something here and there was something there, though telling the differnece between the two places was something another all on itself. Still, they pulled at her. Her, yes? She was a she, not just an it, and everything around her was on fire. Many, many unfamiliar shapes were licked by the flames. Silently she sat, watching, existing, being. It wasn't until she heard herself breath that she realized she was in fact here. Not just watching, but a part of whatever was going in.

Sounds of movement, and a pattern of sound. Voices, the word came from nowhere and she embraced it. Voices carried around and towards her, but they weren't for her. She ignored them and continued to sit and watch. Then, she stood, without realizing she could. Looking down, she was't suprised to see a body, but didn't necessarily expect it. Did the sight please her? What was pleasure anyway?

She breathed again, a small figure standing at the core of the destruction. She didn't know that. To her, she had been birthed into a world of fire. It was quite nice. Warm, welcoming. If it wasn't for the troubled shouts every now and again, this would be a heaven. What was heaven?

Galvin looked at the child, then at her. "This is big. And I doubt you would want to, the cloak's technology would probably fry your processors if you tried to analyze it". He took deep breaths, exhausted and tired from the explosion knocking him back. He heard some ambulances approaching. "This tech he has. Some of it is stolen Pandorian Alliance tech, Rift Grade, Military Grade, High Tier stuff. Its illegal to have outside the Pandorian Alliance without a permit. You could call any branch of the Pandorian Alliance, but likely, you will get redirected to one of three departments. The Taskforce, the Pandorian Service of Intelligence, and the Pandorian Service of Trade. The first two would be more likely".

He looked at the child now. "This level of tech is some of the best well tracked and protected. IF someone has their hands on this...well, the leak should be the least of your worries. There is some Pandorian military tech that they outlawed for very good reasons. If they have access to it...then there is no imagining what they might have planned".

Galvin looked at the sky. He muttered to himself "This is why I retired". But to be truthful, he left because of what happened to his wife, and because he could never make it up to his daughter. He left for a new beginning. He looked back at the child. Your a victim in all this. Someone is making you do this. I can feel it. Now I just need to prove it.

"The advice is duly noted, sir!" Aiedail said, nodding her head. "Though I lack much information on this Pandorian Alliance, I will be certain to bring it to the attention of the Terran National Government, who may be able to submit an inquiry regarding its possible distribution."

She smiled, apparently still in good spirits despite the explosion. "I shall take the suspect into custody, now, discretely so as to avoid interference from those who sent him." Aiedail moved to fasten a pair of energy-cuffs to the unconscious child for the sake of security, before lifting him in her arms. "I will transport him personally. Your assistance is much appreciated in this matter."
