Ghost of Aurora's Story

Headless Wanderer dismounts from the carriage after arriving at a full stop, his non-existent head swiveling about to peer around for travelers needing safe passage through the Cursed Wood.

Headless Wanderer glanced back towards his two lead mares, their nostrils flaring with a sapphire blue flame. He sensed their fear of the forest beyond, the horrors of the very night which instilled fear in even the most hellish of creatures.

Headless Wanderer sighed before hopping back aboard the Nightmare Wagon, hoping he'd receive his allotted pay.

Ghost of Aurora floated through the gate, disappearing into thin air after a moment. Where the sunlight kissed the tree-line a single blue rose bloomed.

Ghost of Aurora floated gently through the Grove of Aurora, gently sobbing. Nobody could hear her so it seemed. Neither could they see her. She wound her way through the vines and spiny trees. Sometimes she passed through, sometimes she took the tight disappearing path.

Eventually the invisible young woman came upon a statue. The sleeping stone woman was familiar. She choked out another sob, laying down over and through the statue: a perfect fit.

A single sob rang through the Grove of Aurora, as audible as anything else in the living world. The ghost cried herself to sleep, an invisible tear falling to the ground. She disappeared into thin air. Where her tears had fallen, a single blue rose bloomed.
