The whirlwind that blew through the Wing City streets was strong, but welcoming and oddly unnatural for it seemed to have a female's face whipping through the spinning winds and sand that seemed to be made up of it. The whirlwind slowly dying down as a shadowy figure appeared in a swath of black robes and ebony shawls. Feminine in structure, the being kept her eyes forward as she entered the bar upon bare feet. As her head was down, alert blue green eyes looked up while she surged past the throngs of young adults and random folks loitering about. She placed herself upon a bar stool slowly while one leg crossed over another. Her eyes demanded attention as she slowly turned her gaze towards the Current Bartender serving others. For it was midday and only having breakfast hours ago, the Arab woman was quite hungry now.

Hadya` did not rest her hands upon the table for it appeared quite unsanitary at the moment. She looked down at the table for a split second, dust and sticky film of grime with old alcohol still cultivating bacteria. "Do...you have any iced tea?" she said slowly, her Aramaic accent strong on her words. She spoke clearly and carefully though, just to make sure she did not make any mistakes of the syllables and letters. "And...maybe an order of salad with baked chicken?" she added before the man could speak up.

Hadya` tapped her hands in her lap, quite unsure on what say on the man. Apparently he seemed to be far too distracted and enjoyed toying with the ignorant when it came to actual working business. Frowning behind the shawls hiding her face, Hadya` slowly pulled herself to stand up before sliding the chair back in place where it was before she sat upon it and made her way around the bar with curiosity. She would have taken the chance earlier to explore and state her wandering mind with new sights, yet the distractions of a dry throat and empty stomach encouraged her for another goal. Luckily, due to the morning meal, she still had plenty of time before it became too late to eat. Blinking white-blue flecked eyes, Hadya` made her way towards the bookshelves near the fireplace and allowed her fingers to cascade over their spines. She enjoyed the felt and leather feeling against her fingertips as her gaze befell upon a thick brown book. She smiled, yanking the book off the shelf and quickly plopping down on the floor to flip through the pages.

Hadya` kept her head down, her gaze fully focused upon the book as she slowly turned from page to page, her smile hidden by cloth as she began to hum a rather old song that her kin used to sing. With only firelight as warmth and light to read, Hadya` enjoyed the odd and homely sensation through her body, it had been ages since she felt at ease and peace with herself, but she always felt some sense of relaxation when reading. She turned another page, lifting the book up and pulling her legs to the side so the book would sit gracefully upon her lap. She mumbled something low in Swahili, her breath almost like dust in wind as another page was turned. "A Thousand and One Nights..." she cooed sweetly while hugging the book close against her chest and giggling. "Tales from around the world all in one over sized book with funny pictures..brings me back to my childhood.." she spoke to herself lightly while returning to reading.

Hadya` was still placed in the corner of the bar, resting in a comforting way with A Thousand and One Tales resting in her lap. Swathed in dark Arabic robes with piercing gaze of icy white eyes flecked with glowing blue dots seemed to signify that the woman was obviously of two separate origins. Her head was down low, focused upon the wonderful children tales that brought her memories of old when she sat around the fires with friends, she sighed deeply, eyes perking up slightly as her gaze fell upon a woman whom seemed to be singing some sort of lullaby. Hadya` smiled behind the shawls that hid her face, while she leaned forward upon warm hands to humming along to the tune, although she knew nothing of it, the charming sound seemed to relax her mind and ease her tense ears well enough that she could pick up on the tune well enough. "Is it what your mother used to sing to you?" she spoke up with her accent strong within her words.

Hadya` hummed softly, bowing her head to slowly close the book and slide it off her lap before standing up carefully and bowing her head once more. She was used to such odd encounters and such things upon same sexed relationships as well as bonds as so did no phase to her whatsoever. Love was love. Hadya` knew all to well of that. Giving a hidden smile, through her eyes of course, she bowed her head in respect while holding her hands in front of her to show a sign of peace and truthfulness. "Not many know of me yet for I have not grown a reputation here for people to know me.." she said softly while folding her fingers together. "But call me of what my mother called me; Hadya`. Sacrifice.." she crooned softly while keeping her head bowed slightly.

Hadya` nodded and chuckled at her words. "I enjoy my Anonymous on a scale. Sometimes it has its advantages, but due to my solitary and mysterious actions, I'm only known as an odd spirit or strange force in Arabian Deserts to the Soldiers and Nomads that roam the bast plains.." she stated. Her own energy, always like the sand slipping through the cracks, was hard to detect, but would forever feel like an itch amongst those sensitive to magics. As if an itch that was unable to be scratched or an itch of an enchanted beast nearby, the pricklings of one's neck hair standing on end, goosebumps upon warm flesh. She too was aged, none by body, but in spirit and mind one could tell that she had been around for nearly a hundred years, possibly a few years longer than that due to an ancient linage and planted curse upon her body. "Everything reeks of sin and vice these days, everyone is suffering these days as well, it is natural for one to suffer. Maybe if they could stop complaining about it and learn to educate themselves upon their personal sufferings, the torture wouldn't be so bad.." she said with a chuckle while placing herself in a chair. "My contracts are of my own wills. I'm a storyteller and a Nomad. I roam the world as is until I am unable to roam no more..yourself?" she asked while resting her hands in her lap and bowing her head in relaxation.

Hadya` nodded as she glanced over the woman carefully at hearing the words Thief. She frowned behind her shawl, quick to slide her hand over the woman's hand. Her fingers were coarse at the tips, the thick nails almost embedding themselves into the elf lady's skin before being lifted from her lap. Slowly and carefully, Hadya` looked over each digit carefully, counting the segments of them one by one while having the hand merely inches away from her face. "You speak of being a thief, yet I see no severed digits..and your hands are still in place?" she questioned slightly while allowing both of her hands to sandwich the elf's hand. Her grip was strong, but gentle and overwhelmingly warm like freshly slapped leather under felt, her fingers and the palm of her hands feeling young, yet wrinkled in the right places to show a toned age. Hadya` was somewhat confused and obviously slightly backwards when it came to customs of other beings, either this woman could regrow limbs or she was a pure Mistress of Thievery to not be caught with her acts. Her people hated stealers, and those whom stole would lose a body part depending the price upon the said item that was stolen. The Arab woman was just as curious as ever now. "Forgive me for my abrupt actions, yet you speak of being a thief and I see no fingers or ears cut away. You are well at what you do hmm?" she chuckled before letting her hand free. "And I suppose it is normal for you to feel such things, although I have yet to find why people feel that way. All I can say is that we simply learn from such experiences.." she stated before her eyes befell upon the Man approaching them.

Hadya` did not greet the man, instead, out of instinct and customs, she bowed her head in respect and did not look the man in the eyes unless she was spoken to. The elf maiden would quickly detect a change of vibration in an odd way. Hadya` was obviously nervous and somewhat paranoid of the male whom approached them. She was agile with her actions though, sliding her bare feet under black cloth and quick to shove her bare hands within the folds of her sleeves. Now only the flesh that could be seen was the skin around her white blue flecked eyes. The man spoke up and she shrunk back a bit more, keeping silent as his attention was directed towards both of them. She took a nervous glance at the elf thief before watching the man's actions in attempts to order them drinks. Hadya` should have spoken up then and there at that very instant that her views upon alcohol were not upon agreements with others around her, yet the thought of appearing like a hypocrite and whatnot caused her to muffle and skip over her words clumsily. "C....cider.." was all that could be picked up as she averted her gaze towards the floor.

Hadya` was even more shocked now that someone had entered her mind, yet her mind, by aged and well worn instinct, reacted out of security and not anger. Hot needles, tiny fragments of her past seemed to flutter in and out of Magdelena's mind at that instant, yet Hadya` was quick to shrink back within her mind and lower her mental walls to allow the elf to enter a bit easier. "Protection..apologies.." she spoke with her eyes before flowing warm energy and welcoming sensations within the elf's mind. Once the man had made his departure, the Arabic woman was quick to ease her tension, becoming much more relaxed and calm now that his presence of icy intimidation and overwhelmingly extravagant energy left the building. "Forgive me Fey..I...am not too easy going and open with male counterparts with any male. Race or species, I find them...ah..what is a nice term to put it? Unwelcoming.." she said with her mind. Her hands, forever warm and rich reappeared while her feet did the same. The waitress returned with her cider drink as she looked at the glass curiously, before shoving the glass back at the woman. "No thank you.." she said flatly as the woman nodded and returned to her duties. "That..and I don't trust many since many don't trust me.." she said with a slight chuckle.

Hadya` 's own memories were not beautiful, a flash of light caused an image of a young child of five sitting on a hilltop with an older woman. Sparse grassy hills nearby as a village upon the low mountains nestled in perfection. The woman smiled, holding the daughter close as a younger daughter and son sat at her sides with a large book. Their words muffled by winds and hawks as the children giggled at the story-tales. The image was quick to shift to a girl, hair askew and grown unnaturally in odd angles while rocks were being thrown at her. Her mother crying and screaming, encouraging and cursing at the boys to stop with their harsh teasings, one rock struck a hard blow upon the back of the little girl's head just as blood splattered fourth. The image shifted again, the young girl with bandages staring up at a great black dijiin whom rubbed sand over her body. Hadya` winced slightly, their tradings of flashbacks was awkward for her for she rarely revealed such things to anyone, yet this was something she could not control now. Another image flashed, Hadya` being a young woman now, men luring her into sexual temptation while trying to bind her with ropes, yet she screamed, her scream unnatural and primal while she felt her body began to melt into the very sands themselves. Suddenly a great sandstorm whipped instantly, throwing the men in the air and smashing them against the great mountain walls. "Great...now it can't be stopped.." she whsipered low. -c-

Hadya` 's memory flashed onward, the last few survivors, covered in blood, burrying the dead and burning the body parts that could be found, the stone and mud huts smeared and splashed with blood while the mournful cries of children and women combined nearby. She stood in the center of her village, only twenty had survived out of the small fifty to sixty of her people, they screamed and cursed, kicking her out of the village. The image changed, of Hadya` roaming the Sahara for years and years as a nomad before reaching the Himalayas somehow and being taken in by the monks.-e-

Hadya` rubbed her temples heavily, such things painful as she was quick to suck in air and close off the bond. Such magical force within her mind would literally shove the elf woman away with such force it would leave her numb. The mental link would snap like an over strain of a rubber-band slapping against one's finger before the stinging sensation could be felt. Soon enough, a cold unearthly chill befell upon her as she felt odd sensations, the mixture of overbearing heat combined with electric shocks in her mind literally caused her body structure to collapse on itself. Her body literally dissolved into sand crumbling apart for a split second before instantly reforming and reshaping back into solidified shapes. Sweat dripped from her brow as she did not even glance at the elf. "The king and his men...stole the queen from her bed..." she mumbled low while letting her hands fall to her sides. "And bound her on bones, the seas be ours.."

Hadya` shook her head hard, eyes closed shut while rubbing her temples once more. She breathed deeply, feeling her heart race as she glanced at the woman carefully. Slowly, her hand slid over the elven woman's hand carefully, holding it close as she felt a lurching pain in her gut due to the stench of flesh filling her nostrils. "Do...not worry much about me, I am always like that when one tries to slip into my mind.." she said while letting go of her hand and bowing her head. "I am wondering if you are okay though?" she asked while her gaze befell deeply upon her. She detected something was amiss, yet she did not prod further nor ask too many questions unless she was allowed to. Before the elf would speak up, Hadya` would groan softly, clenching her gut while a loud growling sound would escape from within. She breathed deeply, feeling her body ache as she stood up to control the vomit from being thrown outwards. Slowly, she sat back down, controlling the pain by relaxing and adjusting the folds of her gown. "Anyways...why did you come to Gambits? Of all places for someone as yourself to be here.." she said in a slightly groggy tone.

The odd bubbling sounds of oil and water mixed together could be heard near the fireplace. Aside from the common scent of wood burning, there was also a strong smell of perfumes and incense burning as well with the burning wood smell. Smoke, thin, but welcoming smelled sweet and strong of rosemary as it curled into odd shapes and funny figures above a being's head. She was swathed in black robes and cloth, obviously of Afghanistan descent due to her bare hands and feet being a heavily tanned color, yet her back was to the throng of people as she sat curled up like a black panther in an over sized bean bag chair upon a fine woven carpet. Hadya` was in a cheerful mood as always, but tense body and stressed mind forced her to bring out a favored pastime; Smoking. Even though it appeared illegal and dangerous, Hookas were quite the relaxer for anyone whom was having a tense day. The erect glass gourd shaped object burning like a lantern from within as odd purple and green liquids frothed with foam to cause smoke and clear liquids to rise into another bulbous spout where smoke could be smoked in from the kiseru` tip.

The effects were remarkable for one whom had ever tried it, giving one a welcoming high, but perfectly calming and making one very aware of their surroundings. Bubbles in funny shapes seemed to blow out of the thin spout, the multicolored hues showing odd visions as the smoke itself curled around them as if dancing. Hadya` stared upwards lazily, obviously in some awkward trance of joy and inner peace as she blew smoke from her nose that were quick to form into the shapes of elephants and dogs that ran around over her head. She smiled behind the cloths that hid her face before blowing smoke rings that transformed themselves into tiny sailboats to fade away into the very air itself.

Hadya` held the kiseru` tip slightly, breathing more smoke from her nose before her head turned upwards to look upon the elf female. "I would have thought you'd be relaxing or upon a contract at this hour.." she said flatly while leaning forward to sprinkle an odd gritty, oily clay into the hooka that caused the liquids to bubble and smoke more. Her head feel back against the bean bag chair she snugged up against, eyes closing as smoke blew from the folds of cloth to form a great grinning spirit with yellow eyes before being sucked back in and blown out to form a panther. "That or possibly upon an adventure to obtain more riches? That is what adventurers do..correct?" she asked softly while pulling the tip away from her mouth and sitting up straight while her eyes seemed to close halfway as if she were in a sleepy state of mind. "Are you at least well from the night before?"

Hadya` nodded softly while gazing into the flames of the fire and sighing deeply. She then perked up at the sound of the elf maiden singing with her soul, her eyes fell shut slowly, more smoke surrounding her as she leaned against her seat and smiled. Slowly and carefully, she removed the shawls from her face, revealing a shapely nose, somewhat wide due to her bloodline yet her lips, the elf was quite accurate about them for they were wide and supple, plush and full while being a somewhat lighter color to them with a darker outline upon them. They appeared moist due to her chewing upon the kiseru` tip, yet she puckered them up slowly, allowing a great cloud of smoke to bellow fourth. The smoke curled and twisted about, shifting into the form of a female belly dancer beginning to leap and dance about. Stars themselves from teh very skies formed as eyes as the giggling figure bounced and danced about upon the air as if upon a mountain. The figure seemed to dance along to the singing, going in union with the pitch and rhythm while the elf female sang. "We're odd..." Hadya` finally spoke up with a chuckle. Her icy white eyes turned upwards to reveal her face at her before the dancing smoke woman faded into the flames of the fireplace. "Your voice reminds me of the Sirens of Yore...but better..they know nothing of pitch or lyrics though.." she said lightly.

Hadya` nodded and chuckled at such a comment. "Ah, I know all to well how that is, mother used to do the same with me during sacrifices actually. "Your voice gains the God's attention, so you must sing, and sing you shall!" was what she always used to say. Although now I only sing in prayer or when in combat.." she explained while sliding the cloth back over her mouth. "I suppose you were forced to learn musical instruments as well? Ugh, the very thought of being made to sit on the hard floor with the heavy lute in my tiny lap makes my legs itch!" she said with a slight distaste in her tone and chuckling again. A silence befell her once more as she looked down in her lap before gazing up at the elf once more. "You should stop being so nervous, or at least hide it better.." she joked while arching a brow and grinning behind the cloth over her mouth.

Hadya` tapped her index finger against her nose softly, thinking slightly while hearing her words carefully and deeply. "Your words..even when you try to hide it with such casualness.." she said bluntly while standing up slowly to face the woman. Her hands rested at her side while she looked directly into the elf's gaze and blinked slowly. "You say such things with a tone of sadness..remorse...and yet you speak within present tense so I suppose..conflict within the family?" she asked while taking a half step forward. "Please stop lying to me, Magdelena. It..really doesn't work since I catch on too fast, I'm an empath by nature so I pick up easily on other being's emotions easily..even if they are trying to hide it with confidence and simple casualness.." she said softly. Her eyes seemed to give off an odd glow as if showing a sense of sadness and feeling betrayed as she lashed out by grabbing the elf woman's arm with a firm grip. "Hiding behind masks doesn't work forever unless you yourself start believing that the mask is actually there. Don't gnaw upon the friendship we've already grown with remorse and fear.." she said softly.
