Harver Keiding

"Don't ever think that I'll abandon you."

0 · 236 views · located in The Ruins

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by PolarOpposites

Description

Body:
Harver has been alive for 19 years. He stands at a height of 6'1", and tips the scale at 197lbs. He is mostly muscle, but he has some flab here and there that is normally concealed under his clothing. He has a shaggy head of silvery hair, reaching down to his shoulders, and a solid set of maroon eyes that almost look like they are made of glass.

Clothing:
As his main attire, Harver wears a red, button up, short sleeved shirt, with a long black coat over it. The coat is made from a fine material and it reaches nearly down to his ankles. He has a pair of black pants and shoes to go with the outfit, and he will occasionally be seen wearing a black tie, but other than that he sticks with what he has.

Weapon Form:
The opposite of being a Meister, Harver is in fact one of the many weapons. He takes the form of a jet black Japanese sword, with a crimson bolt shooting up the middle of it. He has the ability to morph only his appendages to the blade, for fights on his own, but his main source of power is when he is in full weapon form.

Personality

Honest:
If you are ever looking for the truth, the first person you should go to is Harver. He will never tell you a lie, unless it is to save someone's life, or he has otherwise been told to keep his mouth shut. It is apparent that this could get him in trouble from time to time. He has told a lie on purpose before, but he felt awful about it and had to reveal the truth to the person at once.

Intelligent:
For his age, Harver is actually considered to be top of his class. He is always thinking out new battle strategies, and looking for ways to better improve himself as a weapon. He can outsmart nearly anyone in his grade level, and he absolutely loves it when he has a chance to put his wits to the test in any form of brain challenge, so to speak.

Docile:
Calm by nature, Harver has always been one to "Roll with the punches." He never takes things too seriously, unless the time calls for it, and he is always laid back. He never lets things get too out of hand, and he is always down to earth. He doesn't anger easily, and it is always easy for him to get over things, making him quite the guy to be friends with.

Medusa's Toxic:
Harver has recently succumbed to the madness that is Medusa the Witch. He and his Meister, who is now deceased, attempted to kill the witch. In the end, his Meister was murdered, and Medusa took control of Harver's mind in his darkest time of weakness. Now he is quite drone and dull, and obeys anything she tells him to do, even if it would cause him death.

Equipment

General:
Ever since Medusa has taken control, he has nothing on his personal being, so he can in no way remember where he came from when and if the spell does break. The only thing she let him keep was a small locket, which once contained a picture of his little sister, who'm died of cancer when she was eight.

Meister:
Harver is currently without a Meister, his previous one being murdered by the witch, Medusa.

Abilities:
-Flame Lance: This attack causes a large surge of fiery wrath to be shot forth from the tip of his blade form, or if in his human form, his outstretched hand. The attack may cause a serious burn, unless the target is heavily armored.
-Chaos Field: This attack causes a small field to be thrown up around the user. It causes anyone who should step inside of it or are within it's range a great deal of pain, and when they do manage to escape it, they are generally poisoned, which leads to a disturbing spasm of vomiting.
-Shadow Serpent: This is perhaps what some would call Harver's trademark ability. When used, a long snake made of a pure black flame emits from the tip of his blade. The snake grows until it is nearly ten feet long, and is then controlled by the mind of Harver, the snake being able to inject a venom into the opponent, as well as explode in a fiery wrath.

So begins...

Harver Keiding was there in the blink of an eye. It could have been sooner, but Medusa felt it would be best to wait until the very last second. "Kill the clones.." Medusa's voice rang in his head. Harver merely nodded, and a small black field engulfed each individual clone, killing them almost instantly. Now, apart from this, another thing happened in the apparent instant he arrived. He was suddenly in front of Blaire, shielding the small Lorraine from her knife, the clones holding the witch gone. He thrust one palm outward, turning into a blade as soon as it made contact with Blaire's shoulder. Blaire's blade had been aimed low, but her caught her wrist with his hand, leading to no apparent harm. "Flame lance.." Harver whispered, and a fiery scourge of flames shot forth from his blade/hand, sending Blaire careening into a large pile of rubble. When she was gone, he turned to face Lorraine. "You must be Lorraine.." He whispered, his voice like smooth velvet. "My new Meister.."

Harver Keiding leaned down to scoop Lorraine off the ground. "It's alright.." He began...nuzzling his face close to hers. "Things are going to be okay now. I am going to protect you." This was all induced by the current curse he was under, but some of the actions he could do for himself. He brought her far enough away from Blaire, to a small stream near one of the heaping mounds of rubble. He took off his coat, laying it down and gently placing Lorraine on top of it. He knelt by the stream, seemingly waiting for something, but what?

Harver Keiding craned his head to the side to look at Lorraine. "You're not dead, and you are far from hell. You are still on Terra, everything is going to be okay. If Lorraine had a sense of smell, which most creatures did, she would be able to smell the intoxicating aroma of chocolate on the man's coat. He stood, moving slowly as not to alarm her further. He knelt down in front of her, bowing his head, he too smelling remarkably like chocolate, but with a bit of musk. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Meister Lorraine.." He waited for her to tell him he could rise, the spell he was under causing him to have full obedience for his Meister.

Harver Keiding "Does this mean I may rise?" He questioned, looking up slightly as she shook on him frantically. "You re my Meister now. I saved you from the girl who was going to take your soul. There is nothing here that will harm you. And you are not dead." He suddenly reached out, caressing her small cheek with his warm hands. "Could you feel this if you were dead?" He questioned, obviously referring to the warmth of his soft skin.

Harver Keiding looked down for a moment as she seemingly fainted, a faint voice in his head telling him it was time to move on. He wrapped her securely in his coat, and scooped her up once more. He walked aimlessly, longer and longer, never really taking in his surroundings, for he knew where he was going. He walked, and sang, in a low, harping tone, soft songs of troubles passing, and people coming together. After awhile he stopped, and laid her down once more, this time laying himself down next to her and gazing up at the sky, wondering when she was going to awaken, and hopefully not faint again.

Harver Keiding sat up, and sort of stared at her. "What an odd Meister you're going to be.." He whispered, watching intently as she lied back down on his coat. "Are you hungry? I can fetch you something if you'd like?" He was still very obedient, not knowing how else to treat his Meister. As he waited for a response, someone else came onto the scene. It was a medium sized woman with shoulder length blonde hair. She wore a white t-shirt with a black coat over it, and she stood above the two with an odd look on her face. "I would think you'd appreciate me saving your life, elf." She hissed. "I don't have time to play around and explain things to you, but I suggest you learn the ways of your new weapon quickly. DWMA is now fully aware of your existence, and they want your soul. I wouldn't be surprised if they were had sent units out right now." With that she was gone, but what she had said about the units, could that have been some type of foreshadowing? "Lorraine, I will let you make the decision on whether or not we stay and fight. But please know, outrunning them would be very unlikely." There were definitely units on their way, and they could be heard, about five of them, all yelling about Lorraine, about Blaire! It was now do or die.

Harver Keiding not wasting any time, he lifted her off the ground, cradling her in his arms, obeying her will not to fight. He started running, at an extreme speed compared to how slow he was walking earlier. The wind would howl in the ears of the two, the cold chill being enough to awaken her if she was indeed 'sleeping.' He ran, and ran, the voices getting shallower, and after awhile, non existent. He was breathing heavily as he ducked under a small enclosure of rubble, holding Lorraine close to him, so she could feel his hear beat frantically. "Please don't be upset with me..." He whispered, the tight space basically making his face an inch from hers.

Harver Keiding continued to breath deeply. He would have felt bad seeing as how he was breathing right in her face, but for the love, even his breath was irresistible. It smelt like a combination of mint and some odd berry, but either way it smelt absolutely delicious! He closed his eyes for a moment, sort of mimicking the movements of his Meister. "Please, don't faint again.." He whispered. "Why is it you feel ill? Can I cure it with something? Are you too cold?"

Harver Keiding "I am sorry I revolt you, I assure you that was not my intention..I could assume my weapon form, and remain silent, that way it would be difficult to assume my gender." He was trying to soothe her, especially if this was the woman who was to be his new Meister. "Whatever makes you more comfortable. I could attempt to make your feelings of men change, however you may see that goal attainable."

Harver Keiding "Now I've gone and made her faint again. Sorry to upset you." He whispered, more to himself then to her, because she appeared to be out cold. It was night fall now, and the chill of the enclosure would get even colder. "I hope my coat is enough to keep you warm.." He said, not knowing if what he said was going to register. After a few minutes his own body would begin to tremble from the cold, despite how hard he tried to stay still.

Harver Keiding "I can go see if there is another place for us to stay until the sun rises." He moved her around him, so he was facing the end of the whole, and then he slumped out, his hair glinting in the moonlight. He took a few steps in one direction, and then it was silent. "Gotha! Dirty bastard!" A voice called, followed by the clang of steel colliding with steel. There was a large flash of light, and then a burst of flames, followed by thud and a groan. "You shouldn't have meddled in affairs that didn't concern you." Harver droned. "Y-you...I'm..gonna...k-kill you for what you did to Blaire!!!" The voice echoed in the night, followed by more clashing of steel, and so the battle began.

Harver Keiding continued to battle the boy, and didn't notice that Lorraine had began to flee until Medusa's voice rang in her head. "There are more than one you fool! Protect the girl!" Harver turned, ducking down and slamming his palm into the abdomen of the boy, momentarily paralyzing him. He dashed behind Lorraine, just in time to leap over her head and collide blades with a chubby fellow with a large hammer. He kicked him away with a powerful stroke as two more students, one armed with Kusarigama, the other with a ninja blade, sprang from the night. Harver caught the chain of the Kusarigama with his hand, bringing the student up and over his head to collide with the girl with the ninja blade. Now there was four against Harver, and Harver was guarding Lorraine all the while.

Harver Keiding one arm taking the form of a blade, and the other his own hand, he soon regretted the decision. Chubbs, Girl, Kusari, and Levi....yes Levi, were all huddled around him, preparing to attack in a formation. Harver tried to launch one of his flame lances, but the other four were suppressing his wavelength, making only his sword usable. He frowned, morphing his other arm into a blade, and then took in a deep breath. Chubbs charged, and again was swatted away by fancy footwork, but it left a small window for girl, who slid in and attempted a stab. Harver twisted, and brought up his knee into her elbow, throwing her off balance with her lunge, and he kicked her away as well. Kusari wrapped his weapon around one of Harver's arms as Levi jumped at Lorraine. Harver pulled hard enough to budge the kid to wear he was able to wrap his leg around Lorraine and move her to the side a little, and collided blades with Levi, whose hand had taken on the knife form. Harver morphed his right hand, and yanked the chain to bring Kusari close enough for a roundhouse kick to the chest, Harver barely ducking in time to avoid a swing from Chubbs. Harver kicked hard at Chubb's knee, but was palmed by Girl in the thigh, causing him to spin a little. Harver wrapped his arm around Lorraine's waist, and tucked her close to his body while his blade/arm warded off the continuous attacks from the four.

Harver Keiding "I'm going to enjoy ripping the soul from your body witch!" Called Levi, as he attempted to launch an attack, but was stopped by the eleven large totems that had taken form. For a moment Harver got to breath, but I strain the word moment. A searing flame engulfed the entire line of totems, and then a sharp pain struck Harver's leg. A kunai was sticking out of his thigh, and he winced as he ripped it out and tossed it to the ground. This left nearly no time to react to the sudden Lance that dived toward Harver, and he caught the blade of the weapon in his hand! Blood trailed from his hand down the blade, as he took in the sight of a teacher at the DWMA. "You!?" The teacher gasped, and then drew the spear back, making the pain worse. Harper merely readied his blade, and awaited the attack from all sides, still clinging Lorraine close to his chest, it was very clear he was more prepared to die for her then he was ready to run.

Harver Keiding ran toward the group, slamming his sword down. What they thought was an attack on them, was really just a creative way of running, seeing as how his Meister had commanded it. He launched himself up and over the flaming totems, and hit the ground hard because of his wounded leg. He charged forward, his other hand returning to normal as he sped off. "Limit..." He began.."Limit...break!" He bellowed, and with a crack of sound, they were at a breakneck speed going through the ruins. They stretched on for miles, Harver weaving in patterns that even he didn't know, not slowing down until they reached a stone chapel that had been destroyed, but he knew the area well, and he knew they were a solid forty miles from where the others were. He stumbled to a safe area to set Lorraine down, and then he crumbled to the ground, coughing up a large amount of blood, barely being able to maintain consciousness.

Harver Keiding was a little uneasy about all of this, what with her working on him and all. He wouldn't show he was hurt, not to his Meister, but inside he was screaming, and perhaps even crying. He took the potion without any fuss, and he didn't even seem to notice when she dug into him. "I apologize that I was not able to neutralize our enemies...I need more training. Forgive me." He wanted desperately to just faint, pass out and get some rest, but every time he seemed to doze off, Medusa would wake him, making sure he watched over her.

Harver Keiding "Harver.." He whispered, forcing himself up into a sitting position. "I do require more training to brandish my skills. And as for going to your Church, Lady Medusa would not allow such a thing. I am your weapon now. It is either you learn to wield me, or Medusa is rid of me." He leaned in close to her, grasping her shoulder with one of his hands. His lips were right by her ear when he whispered softly, "In a world consumed by madness, you are my light, Lorraine..you have to be my light..." He then did something a little out of the ordinary, he planted a kiss on her cheek, and then leaned back on a large stone and closed his eyes.

Harver Keiding "Medusa is the only person who'm I take orders from apart from you. It would be nearly impossible to break her link unless she decided to. And the reason you are my light is because I chose you. I sought you out. I knew you were the one." It would have been too hard to explain how he knew she was the one, but he hoped in her stupor she wouldn't even bother to ask, because he wasn't afraid to kiss her again if he needed to keep her quiet. "Now I know what leverage I have over you." He chuckled, and it seemed a little painful to do so, but he did anyhow.

Harver Keiding "Don't worry about why I chose you. Just worry about how you're going to break me free from this. The one way I know of, apart from Medusa killing me, would be to match our wavelengths together, and in order to do that, you would first have to be wielding me." He put emphasis on wielding. "I'm sure I could get away with more kisses if I saw fit." He offered her a sincere smile, but it fades as another sharp pain surged through him, just from the battle before, nothing new.

Harver Keiding "If you don't think we could match wavelengths, you're horribly ill informed." He tried not to laugh at her evil little grin, and he stood up, holding out his hand. "Allow me to try something? Something that could help us both?" He smiled, the most sincere smile he could muster. He wasn't lying, and knew it must have been hard for her to trust people, but he hoped she would. If she took his hand, he knew he could break the link.
