She has a calm and somewhat naive personality. However, she can be extremely stubborn when she believes passionately in something. Her favourite flowers are white irises.
She has a single sword, a gift from her brother for her fiftieth birthday. However, she has never wielded it in actual battle.
Younger sister to the current Ard ri, High King Angtur Lasyth, Irdine grew up quite happily in their main castle, Culor. Although young of age, she was recently called to the frontlines by the High King to act as a morale boost for the elves who were quelling the uprisings. She did no fighting, but saw the casualties battle inflicted. She greatly disliked the foulness it left behind. To prevent further rebellions, she requested to live near the border between Tarr and Lasyth land, to keep a closer watch on one of the most rebellious families. She was repeatedly denied by the Ard ri.
Wilfully, she proposed a bet with the Ard ri. If she could manage to convince the Dara'lis to change allegiance, he would let her go. Otherwise, she would forever hold her peace and stay in Culor. The Ard ri, believing her to be jesting, readily agreed. She set out stealthily by night to Dara'lis land. What happened then is too long to narrate here, but suffice to say, alliance with the Ard ri was something they were already considering, and she managed to tip them over.
The Ard ri, having made the bet in front of various advisors during the victory feast, had no choice but to acceed to her request. However, he pleaded with her to take up her new residence at castle Emleri. Emleri sits atop a mountain with its own spring and is heavily fortified. Not wanting to needlessly worry and distract her elder brother, Irdine agreed to his one request.
