God/Goddess Profile

Reincarnation of:
Reincarnation of: Hades, the Greek God of Death and ruler of the underworld. Most people assume Hades is evil, because he rules the aspect of Death, however this not inherently true. Hades is never portrayed as any more evil or good than the other gods. Hades represents the balance and necessity of Death.

Peak Powers
At his peak Hades is very powerful. Although he is yet to control it, the angrier he gets, the more he loses control, determines the more powerful he gets. His eyes turn pale blue, his skin turns white and his voice echoes with the cries of the damned. Whilst in this form he can control darkness, is telekinetic and can even summon the dead. However this is him at full power, the only real passive abilities he has are quite minor. He can phase through solid objects, a complicated procedure for him to accomplish when consciously trying. He is also very hard to kill, although physically quite weak, especially compared to the other Gods, his mastery of Death means he can tell his body not to die. This does not make him in any way immortal, cutting of his head or tearing him to pieces are just some of the things that would still do the trick. But he needs a lot more than a simple knife in the back. Hades has no real offensive capabilities whilst still so inexperienced.

Character Thoughts

On the Ancient Deities: “I study ancient history, but I’ve never really paid much attention to the mythological aspect of it. Wish I had now. I know a bit more than your average Joe blogs, but truth be told, it never really interested me. Jokes on me, right?... Even if it is a very unfunny joke.”

On your god/goddess:“Hades, freaking Hades? As in the “Lord Of The Dead?” How can I be Hades?! I’ve never killed anyone! Does...does this mean...I’m the bad guy? Am I meant to be evil?!”

Killing: “Do...Do I have to kill someone? I really...would rather not...kill someone. I suppose I do have to, seeing...apparently...I’m the Lord Of the Dead, but the idea of killing someone doesn't make me feel very...Godly. Actually it makes me feel kind of ill...I'm going to throw up....”

Personality
James has always been one thing, average, and this is reflected in how he acts and what he does. He likes to be clean, and to be in clean surroundings. He likes everything to be in order, his DVD’s, his books, his meals...all exactly where they should be. His intolerance for mess doesn’t make him angry though, little does. He realizes not all people like to be as neat and tidy as him, and happily cleans up other peoples mess as looking at it annoys him, not them. He is not very Godly in this respect.

He studies ancient history at the University of Winchester, Britain. Ancient history, to him, gives the impression of order and balance. A sequence of events, leading up to modern human history, even evolution, the idea of order from chaos enthrals him.

James is not shy when around new people, but neither is he openly friendly or hostile. He is just...James, neutral. Saying this he can bluntly just speak his mind, many a time he has found himself in situations where the more politer of people would just shrug and smile, James asks them why they find stupid things so interesting. He is pessimistic, sarcastic and has a dark sense of humour. But James is not a bad person, he doesn’t wish any ills upon people, nor does he set out to offend. Given the opportunity James can be shown to be a deeply caring person, who will do defend his friends any way he can.

History
James was brought up in a small town in Britain. It was a pretty average place, the type of place where everybody knew your name, everyone was friendly and greeted you with a smile. But those smiles were fake, to James anyway. His father used to beat him and his little sister, everyone in town knew it, his mother knew it, but no-one ever did anything about it. They just smiled and accepted the bumps and the bruises came from the stairs. James’s nick name “Red” comes from his little sister, James would cry a lot and have deep Red eyes, his little sister used to say “James should be called Red, because that’s what he is!” Despite her age, she had always been stronger than James. Emotionally at least. When James was thirteen, his father through his little sister down the stairs and she eventually succumbed to internal injuries. She was nine. James called the police, and after many arguments and much paperwork, James left home at the tender age of fifteen, under the supervision of the government of course.

James’s nickname of Red stuck, as he accidently introduced himself as Red sometimes. Since then, he has given up on saying his real name out loud anyway, as most of his friends wonder who he is referring to when he says James. James did very well at school, he wasn’t popular but neither was he bullied or antagonized. His grades allowed him into Winchester University, which was so impressed by his research papers, they funded a masters degree course for him. So there he is, still at university, wondering where the next road will take him in life.

Although he never goes home, there is a memorial to victims of domestic abuse near his house, which he visits regularly and leaves flowers at, although he does it early as he does not want to seem creepy or pitiful in front of his friends. James has a deep seeded hatred for bullies which are, almost completely, the only thing that will make him angry.

THEME SONG

Shattered: Trading Yesturday
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzS4OJP-YMk
Yesterday I died, tomorrow's bleeding.
Fall into your sunlight.
The future's open wide, beyond believing.
To know why, hope dies.
Losing what was found, a world so hollow.
Suspended in a compromise.
The silence of this sound, is soon to follow.
Somehow, sundown.

And finding answers.
Is forgetting all of the questions we called home.
Passing the graves of the unknown.

As reason clouds my eyes, with splendor fading.
Illusions of the sunlight.
And a reflection of a lie, will keep me waiting.
With love gone, for so long.

And this day's ending.
Is the proof of time killing, all the faith I know.
Knowing that faith, is all I hold.

And I've lost who I am, and I can't understand.
Why my heart is so broken, rejecting your love, without, love gone wrong, lifeless words carry on.
But I know, all I know, is that the end's beginning.
Who I am from the start, take me home to my heart.
Let me go and I will run, I will not be silent.
All this time spent in vain, wasted years, wasted gain.
All is lost, hope remains, and this war's not over.
There's a light, there's the sun, taking all shattered ones.
To the place we belong, and his love will conquer all. [x2]

Yesterday I died, tomorrow's bleeding.
Fall into your sunlight.

So begins...
