However his temper is deadly, with his strength getting the better of him and someone usually ending up dead. He is prone to anxiety and depression, particularly when Miray is not home with him for an extended amount of time, using her as a sort of emotional anchor for his life.

As he waited, he listened to nature, the birds chirping calmed him down, and as the door opened he looked at her. "Careful? I guess that rules out throwing you across." he said, putting his arm around her waist and carrying her across again. "Now what?" he asked her as he looked around. He felt something...off about this place, he heard it, he smelt it, he...didn't know what it was.

It had been a few days since Grace recruited James to work for her, a few days since he took her to the building where she hid something, and the bad feeling he had about it was getting to him.

He walked through the castle, following his nose as to where Grace was. He found her in the hallway leading to the grand library. He stopped her, his arms crossed in front of him.

"That room that I took you to after I took my nap." he started. "What is in it? I know there is something there. I smell it, hear it, sense it...There isn't any point trying to hide something from me that I already have sensed in some way. So tell me, what is behind those doors?" he asked her. If she tried to get around him, he'd get in her way, if she turned around, he would suddenly be in front of her.

James raised an eyebrow, then as the knee came, his eyes widened and he let out a pained cough as he stumbled back a step or two, hands balling into fists. As she started insulting him, the anger inside him started to stir, and he growled through gritted teeth of pain. The defiance and anger started to boil over as she continued her petty onslaught of insults.

When she walked around him, he turned to follow. As her knee came up for a second time, he let out a snarl as his left hand slammed downwards on her knee, and his right hand rammed forward, grabbing her neck tightly. He then seemed to increase in size as his muscle mass increased, canines grew larger, and he transformed into his werewolf state, still holding onto her neck. He then would turn, and slam her against the wall.

"I aught to kill you for what you just said and did. Or, maybe I'll mount you and show you who's boss, you insignificant little blood sucking leech." He growled. His voice seemed almost demonic in a way, and his now yellow eyes showed not a care for her life, which seemed so insignificant to him that he would take it and it would be as insignificant as an afterthought.

"I asked you a question, and I expect the answer to the question I asked. Unless you want me to rape you, tear out your fangs, send them to your little fanger friends, then kill you by steaking you through your dead little heart." he snarled, looking her dead in the eyes. Any attempt of escaping the grasp he had on her or trying to harm him would not work. He only left enough room for her to talk, and to barely breath.

James listened to what she said, staring her in the eye the entire time, and never blinking. He didn't move, he didn't make a sound, he just stared into her eyes, and didn't blink. After what felt like an agonizing forever he'd let go of her, letting her drop to the ground, turned and slowly shifted back into his human form. As he did, black mist circled his body, and formed his clothing.

He didn't say anything he just walked down the hall, hands balled into fists. It is said that dominance can also be shown by having a stare down, and whoever looks away first looses, making the one who didn't the dominant one. After what James just did to Grace, one who didn't know any better would think that he was in charge, due to his obvious advantage in strength, but they would be wrong.

Grace had one the stare down, and James was not happy.

James continued to walk down the hall, and went into his room, locking it and blocking it with a chair before walking to his bed, sitting down, resting his elbows on his knees, and his forehead in his hands, letting out a long, low growl of pure anger and hate.

The next day........

James came out of his room, walked down the stairs, and left a note on the door that read: "Left to recruit more people to rebuild and defend this place. Be back soon. -James."

A few hours later.......

James came back, and with him were about five people, two men, and three women, all of them strong, most of them human. There was one woman that was a werewolf, whether James cared or not was unknown. He brought them to the grand library, where Grace sat by the fireplace, and cleared his throat. "Ma'am. I've brought new recruits." he said as calmly as he could, which was deceivingly calm, even for someone with as much emotion bottled up as him.

James watched her carefully, and noticed her confidence slip for a split second. As she left he nodded. "Very well." he said to her. As she left, he smiled and looked to the five he brought with him. "Now, if you'll follow me, I'll show you to your rooms, then we'll get to work." he said, his tone even, and smooth.

They followed him upstairs, and they were shown to their rooms, they put their stuff away, then they all went outside, and started to rebuild a wall that had been crumbled. James and the female werewolf took turns taking watch for the giant skeletal things, and didn't see them.

Later that day......

The group went back inside while James and the female went hunting. "James, what are you doing?" she asked.

"I don't know what you're talking about, V." he said to her. Her name was Veronica, but she insisted that everyone call her V.

An hour later.......

James and V came back with a large deer, cooked it, and the group of workers ate happily, or at least, James pretended to. After they had gone to sleep, James stayed up in his room, sketching in a sketch book that he kept in his bag, knowing that Grace would be waking up soon, since it was the middle of the night, and she was a vampire.

The doors to the infamous bar opened an in walked a patron who hadn't come here for a long time. His life hadn't been the best, most of his friends, family and otherwise were dead. Now it was just him and his dog, whom he had left at his camp out in the woods for now.

Standing at six foot three with a muscular build, this man would normally be quite intimidating, however the sad, lonely look on his face made him look rather weak and unassuming. His black hair was well trimmed, however, and his dark green eyes held power in them, though it was mostly latent. His tanned skin hid beneath his clothing, which hid behind his black travelers coat, which was well worn like his shoes.

From his left shoulder a bag hung, and in it there was some miscellaneous items such as money, clothing, etc. From the top of it the hilt of a katana; hopefully he wouldn't have to use it. This man walked over to the bar, placed his bag next to a stool, then sat on it, bringing up the holo-menu with a tired sigh.

"It has been quite a while since I've been in here..." he said calmly, remembering the last time he had been in here. The happiness that came from that thought was drowned out by the sadness and pain of the next one, so he sighed and ordered himself a simple glass of water from the menu.

Fenrias nodded. "Aye... I've hopped a few ponds on this blue marble." he said before smirking at Ithon. "Laddeh, I doubt broadcastin' a profession like dat is a very smart form o' marketin'. I c'n probableh get ya in touch with some people in the local industry if ye wan'..."

The Scotsman glanced over his shoulder as the new man stepped into the bar. His right nostril flared briefly. Fenrias recognized the scent of a wolf-blood anywhere. It was interesting to come across one of his own kind once in awhile... It reminded him that he was not entirely a freak.

She sighs. "Yep. Completely ignored. Whatever, though!" She laughs. "Assassins are morons who murder for money!"Mags, appearing to be having some kind of 'episode' grins. "Blood is sticky." She holds up a finger. "You." Mags points to Fenrias. "Are older than you look. Much older. I would say nearly a millennium. Which is not a million years, like it sounds, but 1,000." She snaps her head back to normal. She points to Ithon. "Sorry." Mags moves her index to Fenrias' direction. "Sorry. I have some kind of psychopathy. Or whatever. Happens when your mind has so much as information as mine. Stuffed into it. Sorry."

James blinked quickly, the scent of another werewolf floating past his nose. He glanced over to the Scottish werewolf for a second and nodded in recognition and in greeting. He himself had almost forgotten that he wasn't alone; that he wasn't the only werewolf in existence. He smiled at that fact, and put a few coins on the counter as the bartender brought him his water.

Wrapping his hand around the cold glass, he lifted it to his lips and took a drink of it, enjoying the feeling of cold, clear water flowing down his throat before he stopped and set the glass down on the counter, letting out a small sigh of gratitude.

Kunihiko walks down the street as he looks at the list in his hands checking off the items with a whistle. His flip flops slapping on the ground as he catches his hat before it blows off. "Hey now, don't you leave me." he chuckles as his purple eyes look at the side walk, dodging the few people in his way. He whistles to himself as he puts his list away, his phone buzzing as he picks it up. "Hello? Oh Obanari! Yeah just drop them off at my condo I will read it when I get there I swear." he says. "Uh-huh yeah heading home now, okay see ya then." he remarks as he hangs up.

"Man...calling me on my day off too..." he mutters as he shakes his head with a sigh. "I just wanna rest..." he adds with a yawn as he steps to the side to let some people pass him by.

After a few minutes of walking, Kunihiko would notice that the streets were relatively bare, and that it had gotten dark rather quickly. There was plenty of light left to see, which was a good thing for what happened next. Around the corner an absolutely beautiful white dog came, bolting towards Kunihiko. Once the dog reached him, it stopped and hid behind him, whining as if terrified.

After that, a man who towered over most other people came running around the corner. After a few steps he stopped and turned around, the tail of his long travelers coat flaring out as he did. Another man turned the corner as this happened, and the taller man grabbed the shorter one, turning around again and lifting him up before slamming him against the wall.

"How many times have I told you sons of bitches not to come after me?!" the taller man screamed. "I want to go the rest of my life without piece of shit hunters like you following me around and trying to kill me!" he screamed, turning around yet again and throwing the shorter man into the street.

The shorter man scrambled to his feet and ran away, screaming practically like a little girl who had been scared shitless. The taller man turned to look at Kunihiko, and patted his leg. "Snow, come!" he commanded. The dog then moved away from Kunihiko and went to the taller man, who very gently embraced the dog, comforting her with kind, soft words.

"Shh, it's okay. The mean man isn't here anymore. I took care of it..." he said. Snow responded with grateful licks to the man's face.

The taller man stood and walked over to Kunihiko. "I'm...sorry you had to see that. The name is James, and I'm not usually as violent as you just saw me be." he said, holding out a hand to shake. His handshake, should Kunihiko choose to accept it, would be warm, firm, and inviting. However the man's body language suggested that he was missing something dearly in his life, so would the pained look in his eyes.

Kunihiko blinks as the dog hides behind him. "Whoa! Hey there fella. You all right?" he asks not seeming to concerned at the screaming, in fact he had a relaxed air about him. He walks forward as he sees the fight about to get involved in it before it ended, the shorter man running away screaming. "Huh okay..." he mutters not really sure what that was all about.

"That your dog?" he asks as the dog walks over to the man, noticing the licks the dog gave the man and decided he must be.

"Oh it is okay, I have seen worse no worries." Kunihiko tells him. "I am Kunihiko Aikawa, Kuni for short. Pleasure to meet you James and again no worries." he comments as he shakes his hand, his one grip firm and friendly though his eyes seemed to hold loss and darkness in them. "So what was that all about? Or should I keep my mouth shut?"

James eventually releases Kuni's hand and his own disappears underneath his cloak that he was wearing, which hid most of his body. "Oh...that fight..." he gulped down negative emotions quickly before explaining. "Him and his friends have been hunting me for the past year and a half, and are driving Snow here insane." he said, petting the rather large, yet beautiful dog.

"But they're not bounty hunters. They're werewolf hunters. The rest I don't need to explain, if you are at least half as smart as you look." he said, not meaning that in an offensive way.

He then stumbled backward before regaining his balance, Snow whining as he stumbled. "I know, Snow. I know." he muttered, petting the dog reassuringly.

"I know this is a bit much to ask of someone I've just met, but do you have a place for me to stay? My friend and I are very tired, we've been running for days with hardly any sleep, and we're both very hungry." he explained.

Kunihiko let's go of his hand as he let's it drop to his side before going into his pocket. "Oof...that...well why don't you report them to the police?" he asks him with a frown.

"Oh so you think there would be bigotry cause you are what you are?" he asks as he shrugs the insult off, he had heard worse from his friends and his distant cousin.

"Hmm? Ummm yeah I do, I have a condo nearby you can stay at for a bit." he offers him. "I can whip you up some food too." he offers as he heads to his condo. Once there he takes the elevator all the way up, opening it up to a modern condo as he whistles and walks to the kitchen area. It looked clean and nice. "You can take the bed, I usually sleep on the couch anyway." he states as he whips up some Chicken Gumbo and making some decaf coffee.

"I have, the police don't believe me. Besides, supernaturals aren't exactly too welcome in Wing City from what I've heard." he said. He then smirked and chuckled, a bit amused. "Yes, I kinda do. But then again, I'm used to it by now." he said.

He smiled. "Thanks." With that he followed Kuni to his condo and into the elevator, then into the condo itself, looking around. "Thank you." he said again. "Seriously."

He then walked into the bedroom, and took off the cloak, letting it fall to the floor, revealing a man who used to be more well built and muscular, but now is more skinny with some very toned muscle left. The bag on his shoulder contained various things from clothing to weapons to empty food canisters. He took that off and set it on the bed.

Snow walked into the condo and immediately began sniffing around, just getting used to the place before she found a nice warm spot on the ground and plopped down on it, tired. She then rolled onto her back playfully rubbing her back against the ground as if trying to scratch it, revealing that she was a girl underneath all that beautiful fur.

James came back out and knelt by her, scratching her belly. "You're such a silly girl. Yes you are." he said in a soft, playful tone as he scratched her belly, her leg kicking appreciatively.

Kunihiko shrugs, "There are bigots everywhere." he comments, "Not saying it is right, but it happens." he states as he nods, "Welcome." he says as he ties his hair in a ponytail.

He whistles as he cooks, chopping the onion and spices quickly and professionally as he hears the dog waling around. He takes a remote as he turns on the electronic fireplace in the main room. He starts working on a steak for the dog as he pours the gumbo into a bowl and puts some rise on a plate as well. When the steak is nice and cooked he puts it on a big old plate for the dog as he grins.

"Foods ready!" he calls out as he takes off the white apron, putting a cup of coffee in front of the food as well as he sits on the couch and sips at his.

James looked up as did Snow when Kuni said that the food was ready. "You wait here, girl. I'll bring you your food." James said, patting the dog's side. He then stood up and walked over, taking the plate with the steak, and then walking back over to Snow. "Sit." he commanded. She obediently obeyed, and then he set the plate down in front of her. "Now, don't make too much of a mess." he said before he allowed her to start eating it.

He then walked back over to where his plate and bowl and cup were and took them over to the couch, setting them on the coffee table in front of the couch before sitting and beginning to eat. "Aw man. This is the best food I've had in at least a month." he said, happily chowing down. Snow barked as if to say thank you as well before she continued eating her steak.

After he was done eating, he sat back and sipped at his coffee, finishing it off before taking everything and taking it back over to the sink, where he set it down and suppressed a belch. He then walked over to Snow and took the empty plate over to the sink as well. He then walked back over to the bedroom door. "Thanks, Kuni." he said before yawning, revealing that he did in fact have the stereotypical canines of a werewolf. "I'll see you whenever I wake up." he said. With that, he and snow both went into the bedroom, and fell asleep after James undressed so he was at least more comfortable.

The next morning.........

James woke up and let out a long, tired yawn. He got up and looked around a little as he stretched his body awake. He found the towels and the bathroom, and proceeded to use it to take a shower and perform the other important things of one's morning routine, such as brushing his teeth and other things.

After that he stepped back into the bedroom and got dressed in his cleanest set of clothes, folding up the other clothes and throwing them back in his bag. He wasn't planning to stay long, but if Kumi allowed him, he would. All James had to do was ask now. But he'd save that for later, for now he had to take Snow out, which is what he did. He took her out, cleaned up after she did her business, then took her back inside, letting her go to the warm spot in front of the fireplace again where she simply laid down and yawned.

James then walked around, and looked at the various painting's portraits on the walls of the condo, trying to amuse himself.

Kunihiko grins, "I usually don't cook but you seemed like you needed a good home cooked meal." he says with a laugh as he sips his coffee in silence as he listens to the fire crackling as he looks at the paintings, most were of nature some were of his family...though not many. There were a few pictures of himself when he was younger with a girl.

He watches him leave as he cleans up and puts the plates away.

-----Next morning----

Kunihiko let's out a yawn as he wakes up, making himself a cup of tea with two spoons of milk and sugar as he stirs it together. He hears James come back in as he looks at him. "Like art?" he asks, his hair uncombed and his eyes looking tired as he grabs a manilla file, looking it over before he takes his stamp of approval and stamps it.

James looked at Kuni and shrugged. "Art isn't my favorite thing in the world. But...it can be very beautiful...." he said. He then picked up a pictured of Kuni and a girl. "Who was this girl? She's very beautiful." he asked, a tinge of sadness in his voice as he suddenly remembered his past. He shook his head and tried to passively wipe a tear from his eye.

Snow looked at James with carefully observant eyes, knowing what happens when his past comes back to him: Usually nothing good.
