The human personification of the nation Japan. Japan is quiet and serious, he doesn't prefer to talk unless it's necessary. He likes to say no in many different ways but agrees with most of the Nations at the meetings. Japan may look weak but he actually is pretty strong. Some of his hobbies include drawing and building machines. Regardless, Japan will try his best at whatever he decides to do, especially when it concerns his people.
Japan wields a kanata and usually has it with him all the time
Japan was a nation country whom isolated himself for around 200 years, so he could keep his culture and traditions from disappearing or influenced. When America arrived, he forced Japan into opening his ports for trade, and from there started some of Japan's troubles. Some of the other nations decided to take a leaf out of America's book and do the same. With unfair treaties and hard economic times, Japan decides that he needs to be modernized. So he could catch up with the rest of the world and prove how strong he could be.
Japan and England had an alliance, so they were good buddies for awhile. He soon joined WWI in favor of the Allies and showed how strong he was when he attacked Germany's colonies in Asia. Japan's power increased when he won wars against China and Russia, proving to the world how strong Japan is. Especially since Japan was still fairly new after coming out from isolationism.
WWII, however, he joined the Axis Powers along with Italy and Germany. After America and England had problems with his occupation of Manchuria. Japan and his allies fought their hardest but they lost in the end.
Presently, Japan gets along with most nations and does attend UN conferences with the others.
