Jeremiah Court

A fox lycan priest walking in the Word...

0 · 264 views · located in Main Street

a character in “The Multiverse”, originally authored by Arluar, as played by RolePlayGateway

Description

Character Name: Jeremiah Court

Age of Appearance: 35

True Age: 72

Description: A man with strong broad shoulders shouldn't sport as lithe a torso as he, but Jeremiah was build for speed and stealth more than brawn. Jeremiah has always been cunning but is constantly keeping that trait away from the obvious surface. He usually dresses in a black modern looking jacket with a white collar showing, much how one would envision a futuristic priest. The edges of his sleeves and zippered front sport red piping that nearly seems to glow in the dark. His hair is red by died nearly black, his true color only showing through in undertones. Speaking of true colors, he keeps his guarded, only being himself around those he feels he can trust - also known as those he has control over. He stands at a near six feet and is built like a runner. Eyes of hopeful harvest tones have been known to fade to white during a full moon.

Breed - Lycan: Fox lycan. Under the full moon, Jeremiah is known to give into his animalistic side and become a fox. He is sly and cunning, in a more outward fashion, when in either his animal like biped or quadraped forms. His favorite meal is chicken, but not in the way that KFC would provide it. There is something to be said for the fresh kill, no dipping sauce needed when there's blood. His form is typical of a fox, orange/red fur with paws, ears, and tail tipped in white. You can almost see his maw smiling with all those sharp canine teeth.

Personality: Devious may be the perfect word for him. He may present himself to be respectable, but he has an overwhelming dark side. A pervert in the true sense of the word, his sexual exploits baffle the imagination. He is a glutton for pleasure and a good plate of chicken just might win his heart, or at least get you into his pants. To the public, he has the face of being a very devout man, completely dedicated to his religion, a New Age version of Christianity he created specifically for lycans.

Items: Jeremiah always carries his small leather book of his writings and sermons. He also keeps his pockets full of tracking rings that he passes off as markers of the believers whose souls will be granted eternal life.

Weaknesses: Naturally, he is very susceptible to the affects of the moon, often times going out into the wild during this time. He claims his hiatus is really just a prolonged time with God. Jeremiah is not truly a fighter - and he does need to be with the bodyguards he has around him. Jeremiah is quite the wimp, intolerant to the slightest discomfort. Even the threat of pain could make him cave. He could, however, win any sprint through the woods or city streets for that matter.

----

The Change: Jeremiah used to be a farmer who had just taken over his father's work when a wild fox bit him one night. The thing seemed to be rabid with the way it was snarling and its eyes glowed white. At first Jeremiah thought nothing of it, but he had to re-evaluate when he woke up with blurry memories of slaughtering all his chickens.

Age when turned: 30 years old

Alignment: Jeremiah has no sworn enemies but other religious groups don't seem to think too highly of him.

Affiliations: This 'priest' is new to the city and its inhabitants. He has heard through the grapevine that there is a good sized lycan group within the city limits. He has come to convert them.

T.O.A.: Jeremiah arrived on a Thursday and immediately set to work letting the lycans of the city know about his gathering to take place on a Sunday at sun down.

General History: In a quest to find the reason that he was turned, Jeremiah has formed a new branch of Christianity known as The Full Cold Moon Adventists, the Moon Adventists for short. He began seeking out others who had been turned and opened his heart and mind to them. He told them that they still had a purpose in the universe and that their animalistic enhancements only furthered them on a journey towards eternal life. Believing in Jeremiah, the messenger, meant that you had to kneel and surrender your will to the full cold moon. Those who did so were given a ring with a moon-like pearl set in gold. Jeremiah preached that those marked with this ring would guarantee their souls would continue on to eternal life even past their body's destruction. Death was becoming a more real threat to lycans of this day. Jeremiah is there to save them. Once the ring was obtained, Jeremiah justified his frivolous lifestyle by explaining that they were free to live as they wished. Without any fears, they could live out their wildest fantasies. There was no threat of losing your soul. Debauchery and orgies were quite common within the Moon Adventists community and Jeremiah made sure to flaunt his participation in them. Now he has come to Emerald City to convert as many lycans as he can - to give them freedom while they live, and eternal souls when they pass on.

Jeremiah Court had the five o'clock shadow of a worker on his upper cheeks as he walked in and scratched at his hair covered chin. Dark eyes glanced from side to side as he reached down to adjust his collar. He was wearing black robes tonight, but they really looked like a button-up shirt and slacks than anything, lined in red piping.

His eyes were drawn as a moth to a flame to a beautiful woman not too far off. She was applying lipstick to already pink lips, bringing them a glossy shimmer that caused him to lick his own lips. He walked over with his eyes on her and stopped just short, his hands feeding into the opposite sleeve. "Miss...Are you waiting for someone or might I have the honor of joining you over a glass of ice cold water?" He seemed polite enough, but certainly not genuine. Not completely, anyway. He put his hand on the top of the chair to encourage her to allow him to sit.

Jeremiah Court pulled back the chair and took a seat. "Good to see you don't turn scruffy strangers away - not on looks alone, at least." He chuckled and ran his hand over his beard one last time. When the waitress came by, he asked for water same as Elise had moments earlier.

For a moment, his attention went to Cervious, the priest's nose flaring a bit as he took in the scent. He didn't approve of the furred creature, but he was definitely no fighter and his body guards were outside on a smoke break. Jeremiah thought it best to leave the beast alone.

Slowly the priest looked back to Elise. Her presence was much more acceptable to him. Smiling broadly at his new table-mate, he concentrates on her scent. She was intoxicating but...there was something off about her. She had clearly been with a man in many ways recently, his keen nose told him. He wouldn't pry...

Jeremiah Court had kind eyes, deep and soulful, only briefly showing a glint of mischievousness. He licked his lips again before speaking, eyes closing off to slits. "I just caught something in your scent that concerned me is all. There is no need to be so..." He trailed off and suddenly slouched, putting his chin in his hand as he leaned, fingers covering up his hairy cheek. He didn't go back to finish his statement, rather studying her eyes his eyes and nose.

"Well. It certainly seems that someone has enjoyed you immensely in the past few days. You've scrubbed meticulously since then, but there is little you can do to erase that scent." He sipped his water straight out of the bottle without a second thought. "Though, I suspect that you were scrubbing from the OCD, not the sex."

Jeremiah Court saw she was getting defensive and actually smiled at it. "You might be able to fool yourself, but your scent can't lie...I just hope whoever had you allowed you some pleasure as well." The signs of female satisfaction were mostly absent from her and he noted that. Finally taking his head off his hand, he sits up straight and places his hands on the table.

I will trouble you of this no more, fair lady. I fear that I will provoke a storm." He held his bottle up to his lips and lapped at the tiny trickle of water at the mouth of the bottle. In fox fashion, he reached up and formed his fingers into a 'c shape' before scratching at his temple. Something struck him. "Perhaps I did not fetch your name...Mine is Jeremiah Court, if I did not offer it."

Jeremiah Court came through the door after slowly pushing it open. He was no Rupert, but he smiled brightly at Elise never the less. His hand was behind his back and cheeks were shaved hours ago, so a bit of a shadow was already coming through. Walking over to the beautiful woman, he gives her a bow before straightening. As he bent over, flowers could be seen behind his back. "I was hoping to find you here. I'm ready to meet you again." He offered the flowers to her. They were beautiful and exotic...awful expensive for a humble priest to buy. "They're a rose and astromeria hybrid - called Tiger Roses."

Jeremiah Court couldn't help but laugh. She was still a b*tch. Without being invited, he took a seat across from her, setting the flowers on the table. "Well I can see that it is disconcerting that I have come with a refreshed attitude, but I'm glad to see that hasn't kept you from being yourself." Crossing his arms, he leans back against the chair. "Now. I do not simply abandon people no matter how...snappy they are. Especially when they would otherwise be alone with microbes closing in all around you..." His grin was smug as settled into the seat.

Jeremiah Court noticed that his posture was being mocked, so he moved to a position that she would never copy. He leaned forward on the table and rested his hands flat on the wood, even drumming a bit. "Well I was looking for a hooker, but then I saw you first and thought you were much more deserving than a hooker." He flashed his pearly whites at her, showing off some cute little fox fangs. "In all seriousness, these flowers do little to compare to your beauty so we may as well toss them out." he said, picking up the beautiful tiger striped roses, prepared to toss them to the floor.

Jeremiah Court got the reaction he wanted out of her, moving the flowers to a safer place on the table. As far as her question goes, he closes his mouth and scratches at his temple with his 'claws'. He shrugged a bit, turning his eyes to gaze at her as his orbs flash a fox yellow. "I'm just a fox." he said, smiling at her again. "A lycan to be exact..." He went ahead to explain more to her, "I am the founder of a new religion specifically for lycans. Normally I would be out scouring the streets, but I don't dare try to convert the Multiverse. This is where I come to relax at the end of the day." He shrugged a bit.

Jeremiah Court felt the change in the temperature between them and frowned. He messed with his cu-flings for a moment before flashing his now brown eyes to her. "Not all lycans are snarling disease-ridden beasts. Some of us are sophisticated...refined and sometimes even kind." Sliding out of the booth, he stood and smoothed out his robes. "You are obviously not comfortable with who I am. You should be better off alone." Turning, he started to walk off before pausing to add over his shoulder, "Put those in cold water."

Jeremiah Court looked coldly back at Elise before sighing a bit. He had felt her touch on his arm and missed it when she turned away. With another sigh, he flipped back around and snuck around to beat her to the table. "May I have a wipe?" he asked, not waiting for a reply. His hand went into her bag where he found the sanitary wipes he knew were in there. Facing Elis directly, he shocks her by leaning down to kiss her on the cheek, his scruffly face scratching against her perfect skin. When the affectionate display was done, he reached up with the wipe and cleaned off her face. "God bless you, my child..." he said - it was the first priestly thing he had said.

Jeremiah Court smiled slyly as he looked at Elise and how shocked she was. When she realizes the changes on him, she may laugh, but Jeremiah now had two large fox ears where his human ears once were. Behind him a fluffy orange tail with a white tip sways happily from side to side. A bit intoxicated from being close to her, his eyes close off in little slits as he lets out a foxy purr. "I don't wish to cause you any more stress, Miss Bradshaw. So if it's best that I take my leave, I will do so..."

Jeremiah Court smiled a bit and scratched his ear with his curved index and middle fingers, just like he had been doing to his temple. As her hand went to his tail, the fur bristled and Jeremiah tensed visibly. "With the fur, not against it!" he urged, chuckling a bit. "Perhaps I will stay a little while longer.

His ears pivoted before focusing on her. "Have you...not been here long? I am for from the oddest thing here." he said, self conscious about his animal-like extremities. Concentrating, he drew his ears back to their human state, the tail drawing back into his pants, away from her hand.

Jeremiah Court sat down and listened to Elise silently. His elbows were on the table, one hand cupped over the other and his mouth hidden behind them. His eyes were dark and compassionate, emotional as he listened closely. "I wish..." he began. "I wish that I could bring Rupert here for you, but i have just about as much hope that he'll come through that door as I do that I'd be able to find him in the city. I may have an excellent nose, but it's not meant for tracking." Lifting his chin, he put it up on his hands. "Is there anything I can do for you? I just...I feel like you're so vulnerable and helpless - I don't know what I can do..."

Aneres Coreveon wasn't dressed as obscurely as she would have liked to believe. The shimmering white kimono-style overlayer embroidered with golden moons down the sleeves, the long-hemmed fringe coming to rest just above the hemline of golden bell-bottoms. Beneath was a plain white top. A golden chain poked out from the collar but the rest of it was tucked beneath the shirt.

There was nothing Aneres could do about the bodyguards who followed her, but she had grown used to that to some degree. At least they let her style them at this point. It made everyone's job easier.

Aneres flicked golden braids to look one way up the street, then the other, then back again. A grunt from one of the bodyguards signaled that it was alright to cross. Halfway across the street she felt a slight tremor of energy. The bodyguards picked up their pace and hurried Aneres across. She didn't protest. They came to stop a stone's throw from a mercedes, a man perched atop the back.

"Did you feel that?" Aneres asked the man, half looking down her nose despite the fact that he was literally seated higher up than where she stood. Her tone wasn't pretentious but there was something about it that dripped with royalty.

"Bristol, very nice to meet you," Aneres extended her own hand and delicately gripped his. She frowned upon hearing that he didn't know what it was either.

"I am Aneres, as I prefer to be called," She regally addressed Bristol with a smile, "Princess of Aurealas. A pleasure to meet you. Is that what brings you here? Looking for the source of the disturbance? I will admit I haven't felt it anywhere else but here."

One of her Over's coughed. She rolled her eyes. They were always concerned she would reveal too much. Aneres had yet to do so.
