The woman scowled at the bottle being taken from her and Jess was not going to be robbed of the precious drink. The pirate stood there for a moment and then she bolted after him. Jess leapt into the air in the attempt to throw herself onto Axinn. It was not beyond the pirate woman to wrestle with other people or fight over rum, especially if it had been stolen from her.

“That ain't yers! Give it back! Give it!”

As soon as Jess did a belly flop onto the sand, she knew that it was going to take another tactic in order to gain her bottle back. The conversation the two males were having dropped in the background as Jess’s focus lay on something else: the bottle of rum.

The pirate took her sweet time, picking herself up and then brushing the sand off of her as well as Jess could. The woman turned her back on the two and then attempted to push her breasts together as much as they would go to perk them up. It was hard to do as Jess did not have much going for her in that department. The woman sighed and gave up before wheeling around on foot.

Jess began to slowly approach Axinn from behind …

Axinn’s sigh made Jess lick her lips in want though it was not the Alneh she wanted but her rum. As she neared the male’s back, the pirate draped her arms around his shoulders, standing on tip toe. Being so close to him, she could afford another scowl of displeasure before donning what appeared to be an innocent facade.

“Jus' a wee drink fer me? I shall do that thin' wit' me tongue again if ye jus' let me 'ave a swig o' me rum,” Jess half-whispered into Axinn’s ear. No low was too low nor manipulation in order to get her damn bottle back!

“Thar are thin's that are best forgotten 'n nah remembered. Rum makes it all go away,” Jess admitted before slipping around him to face the Alneh. She was not afraid to touch him but she knew that their skin could be toxic or even, deadly. Jess did not fear death.

“Unless you do not want me enthralled in [i]your[/] arms tonight,” Jess said with a dramatic change to her dialect, “I would suggest you hand over the bottle, Axinn.” Her face neared the Alneh’s and she reached up to cradle a cheek in her rough hands. Jess’s sky-blue eyes locked onto Axinn’s and her lips parted. A kiss seemed near imminent but it broke into a mischievous grin.

“Oh well. I got me another bottle in th' boat. Ye enjoy that one 'n ye owe me a whole sovereign fer it,” she said before moving to walk away.

Jess wasted not a single second to grab her bottle back up. A triumphant grin replaced the mischievous one. She paused in her step to take a long draught from the bottle, but did not swallow. It tasted awful and Jess spit the drink right back out.

“Ye went 'n fouled it. How dare ye foul me rum. That's nah polite or gentlemanly like,” she said before slapping the bottle against Axinn’s chest. Her fingers opened up around the rum and if he did not catch it, the bottle was going to drop into the sand.

Jess did not mind. She was focused on reaching the land boat and getting her other bottle.

“Me tastes haven't changed 'n I don't reckon ye would know more than me about rum. I've been drinkin' th' drink fer a long time now. I know th' good ones 'n I know th' bad ones. That was a good'un afore ye went 'n fouled it,” Jess said with a roll of her eyes. The rum had been fine. She had had a few swallows of the same brew after their taxing activity. Axinn had drank out of it first, so it made it his fault that it tasted differently.

“Well, don't jus' stand thar. Help me push it into th' water so we can go get yer thin's. We 'ave t' be quiet though 'cause o' th' cap'n. I don't plan t' stay on th' ship fer long 'n I be gonna stay away from Cap'n Robbie fer a few days. Best idea fer now …” Jess nodded more to herself than to Axinn before starting to push the black boat back into the sea.

Captain. Captain Thresher. Captain Jess Thresher. Oh, it had a lovely ring to it, the pirate thought to herself. What she wouldn’t give to run a ship of her own instead of being subdued to serving under another. Jess stood up and looked down both sides of the shore. Not a soul to be seen in any direction.

The woman looked down at the boat and then her brow arched. Her eyes scanned over the exotic man.

“In th' boat ye go,” she said while beginning to remove her clothing. It was obvious what was on Jess’s mind as the vessel wasn’t even far enough in the water to make it float. Yet, she was ordering Axinn inside of it.

“That's an order.”

Along the beach was a boat resting in the sand high above where the tide was hitting along the shore. A woman’s hand scrambled up and clutched to the side of it before the rest of her was seen. It was the notorious, superstitious, and sampler of exotic men, pirate extraordinaire: Jess Thresher.

The woman rolled out of the boat and batted away a piece of hair from her face before realizing there was someone else had been in the boat. Where was Axinn? Maybe he was off doing some more toad things, Jess thought to herself before turning and peering along the emerald colored sea.

The Wench’s Trident was moored happily in the gently rolling waves and it made a smile spread along the pirate’s face. There wasn’t a more beautiful sight but it was a shame that Jess had decided to take a break from it. After all, the woman had no idea how Cap’n Robbie would take to her stealing the ship for a little joy ride in another of her drunken escapades.

Jess had noticed the hulking figure draw near and more near. She rose a hand over her brow and squinted against the sunlight—it was never dark on Gaia and only the protection of the Mother allowed life to continue on the earth. Her eyes narrowed as the pirate lass squinted. The silhouette was growing big—very big and bigger by the second!

“I know who that be,” Jess said to herself and she started walking towards him with a mischievous grin on her face.

“Ye do nah natter too much do ye? Do ye even know how t' speak,” Jess asked as soon as she was close enough to the huge man. The smaller woman had to crane her back just to look up at his face. Thad was at least two feet taller than her but that did not make Jess feel inferior whatsoever.

“Ye be part o' th' crew, aren't ye? Which one ye be?” Jess had not paid much attention to the marks given when Robbie had recruited some more members into The Wench’s Trident.

Jess arched a brow at him only speaking no more than three words. He was one of those ‘quiet types’ which the woman did not understand. There was something about those that did not talk often which put Jess on edge. It was as if they were always plotting for something.

“How do ye like bein' part o' th' ship's crew? 'n, ye didn' brin' any rum wit' ye on th' way t' shore did ye? That damned toad-skin scallywag drank all me good port!” Jess snorted and folded her thin arms across her chest in a mirror image of Thad—minus the bulging muscles.

There was a little twitch in Jess’s right eye as she stared down at the hulking, sitting, man. Her hand reeled back and she attempted to smack him across the back of his head. Sure, the man was twice the size the lady-pirate was but Jess was not afraid of him.

“Ye needs t' say more than jus' three words at a time! Scallywags do nah like scallywags that natter like ye!”

There was a small stinging pain on her collarbone from being prodded. She was not exactly a cushioned woman and was nothing but muscle, skin, and bones. The poke hurt! Jess quickly poked Thad right back and right in between two ribs.

“I be nah a sprog 'n do nah poke me! I be th' first mate 'n I could make yer term miserable aboard th' Wench's Trident, so help me, ye scurvy dog! I’ll skewer yer gizzard, ye salty sea bass!”

Awkward. Jess was feeling a little awkward now. She didn’t do too well on the scale of giving advice or attempting to comfort someone that may have had a hard life. So, Jess did what she best and spontaneous created some sense of humor or trouble—or both.

“Righ’ …” she commented before stooping down and scooping up a handful of wet sand. Jess curled it up into a ball as much as she could and then threw it at Thad. The woman donned an expression of innocence as if nothing had happened.

That was what Jess was good at, however; testing her luck. Instead of running or conceding defeat, the woman decided to do something else. She moved her hand and attempted to slap Thad’s hand in order to spray the sand all over himself. Though, the pirate realized that he was very strong and could easily just tense up making her fail. But the message would get across easily.

“Avast!” She called out before starting to sprint down the beach at full speed in order to get away from him. A stumble or two was had as Jess reached down to gather more sand in preparation to throw more at Thad.

A pair of brilliant sea-green eyes locked onto Rascall's gaze. It was for just a fleeting moment the "gaurd" took note of him before her eyes darted away.

The person whom the eyes belonged to was dressed in armor too big for their slight frame, and boots that were about to slide off her feet. As she kept walking the helmet on her head was falling over her eyes. She kept pushing it back up and watching the others' feet as they marched.

The small passing group of gaurdsmen took a left and the misfit "gaurd" stalled. Jess looked left and then right and then she took off running down a small alleyway created by the myriad, confusing, stairways. She shed her armor as she went, ridding herself of evidence and unneccessary burden.

Rascal Mistrouge tapped a guard upon the shoulder with his index finger, then waited calmly for him to turn around. He didn't, which the pirate soon realized was because he was walking and wearing a thick suit of armour, so he probably didn't even hear it with the sound of clanking metal, let alone feel it.

"Guardsman!" He shouted. That got the man's attention, who quickly turned around and drew his sword - startled.

"What is it, scallywag?!"

"What the hell is a scall- look, can you point me to where the ships are? I can't find my way around through all these damn alleyways, and apparently the government hasn't done the smart thing of investing in some street maps to put on the corners."

"And what business do you have with the ships, boy? They're not a tourist attraction!"

"Isn't it obvious? I'm a crew member. Just tell me the way and I'll be on my way."

"Really?" The guard asked, pulling a sheet of paper from behind his breastplate, then opening it up in his hands. "What's the ship name? And who's the captain?"

"The... Speckled... Onion?" Usually, Rascal was reasonably good at lying, but he had no choice but to guess, using the words on nearby signposts to help him on his way. "And... Captain... Richard... Gold?"

The guard gritted his teeth, and began to scrunch up the sheet in his hand. "Boys! We've got a troublemaker over here! You're comin' in with us for some questioni-" a fist was planted in his face, knocking him out cold before he could complete his sentence and denting the visor so much he would need a lot of soap to get his helmet off.

With that done, Rascal span and began to run in the general direction of down. Sea level was where all the ports were, after all, and there were some stairs that he hadn't used yet!

Jess Thresher was hidden almost securely between two sets of stairs, or atleast no one yet had noticed her subtle exit. Beads of sweat dotted her tanned forehead and ran down her temples.

"Damned armor," Jess muttered between clenched teeth. She attempted to pull off the remaining boot but it did not want to come off. The pirate plopped down onto her backside and tugged. After a fair amount of groaning and straining, it popped off along with her own shoe.

Jess frowned at her naked toes.

"Check down here! They might've gone this way!" a voice called from the end of the alleyway.

Jess threw the shoe aside, knowing that they were coming for her and that she'd been discovered. Launching herself upwards, Jess took off at a run down a set of stairs.

All it took was a single look backwards to make Jess miss her footing and begin her tumble down the stairs ... directing in the path of another running man.

Jess collided with him with so much force that he went over too, and the laws of physics dictated that there was only one possible outcome considering there was another set of downward stairs on the other side of him.

When Jess hit him, he tumbled over, grabbed her as though trying to find support, then let out a somewhat pathetic yell of "aah!" as the two began to tumble down yet another flight; the more open area before the docks suddenly rushing up at them as a tight corner send them over the edge of the path and crashing through into a crate of limes and oranges. Rascal took most of that damage, which was lucky considering the thick wood was no match for his back.

"Oouuuuurghhh... What the... Hell..." He grumbled, trying to figure out what the heck had just happened.

"Ungh ... " Jess moaned and reached up for her head. She felt like she had just fell down ten flights of stairs. There was an extraordinary smell of citrus, she noticed. Wherever she had landed was far more cushioned than oranges ...

Jess opened her eyes in alarm as something hot breathed against her chest. She screamed and grabbed the closest thing available, an orange. Rascal was going to be hit over and over again until he moved or moved her.

"Disgusting! Pervert! How dare you! An innocent woman! Get off! Get off of me!" Jess yelled while taking to throwing the oranges and limes at Rascal.
