Equipment

The Artifacts of Power:

The Holy Grail: John is the keeper and protector of the Holy Grail. The cup that was used during Christ's last supper and the cup that collected the living water and blood that flowed from his wounds on the cross. The Grail possess powers from the Almighty that can heal any wound and any disease. Those who have died may be given life again if they are found worthy to have their life given to them again. John has found a way to connect his soul to the holy grail which gives him amazing healing abilities and his immortality without having to keep the grail on his person. With his soul acting as a conduit John can heal the wounds and illnesses of others even allow those who are blind to see. He can't though bring people back from the dead unless he has the grail itself. The Grail though will resurrect John should he ever die because of his soul connection. There remains only two things that can rid the world of John. He must give his blessing to someone else or be killed with the spear of destiny.

The Spear of Destiny: John is also keeper and protector of the Spear of Destiny. The very weapon the stuck the side of christ on the day of his crucifixion. The weapon gives the power of any who use it the skill and mastery of anyone who once held the spear in their hands and used it in battle. It also offers a large strength and speed boost to the person. What makes this weapon so alluring though is it's power to kill any immortal or god. If a lethal blow is hit with this spear and if the person be any type of god of immortal they will die. John has hidden the spear away and even he doesn't use it. It is safely tucked far away in a tomb.

Druid hourglass: Created by the Druids of the British isles when their home was being conquered by the Romans. They never were given the chance to use the large glass, and how they created it and got the designs for it remain a mystery. It is a very alien looking device that does not much resemble an hour-glass but it called so due to the shifting crimson grains under the glass of the face. When asked what these grains where John says that it is human bone covered and stained by blood that was crushed into a fine dust. The Device is able to open wormholes that can lead to a desired time and or place. Making time travel possible.

Ark of the Covenant: The most powerful of John's Artifacts that is to remained unknown to all people until he deems it the right time to bring it back into the light.

The Seal of Solomon: This is one of the most powerful rings to ever appear in the mortal realm. The Seal of Solomon was a ring gifted to Solomon from God so that Solomon could bind and control all forms of demons. Not even Lucifer himself is immune to the effects, and with it a single man could control all of Hell's Armies. Though one must be of pure heart and sound mind so that the influence of the dark powers brought by devils and fallen angels do not taint the mind of the user. Even Solomon had a hard time.

The Key of Solomon: A book that was created when the 1000 lovers of Solomon decided to collect all the most powerful magic and spells from all their original homelands into a single book and give it to wise Solomon. It was and still is the most powerful book of magic and spells ever created and could making any wizard of mage far more powerful then they could imagine.

The Staff of Moses: The Staff of Moses is a very powerful artifact that has many abilities. It can create miracles, invoke the plagues Egypt on a target, and shift into a very deadly snake.

Crown of Thorns: The Crown of thrones is the very one that was placed on the head of Jesus Christ. Those who don the crown are filled with all the knowledge and wisdom of the universe, but at the cost of extreme pain that the user would possibly be killed by.

Key of Atlantis: The very Key to the Doors of Atlantis. Those who do not have this key can not enter the lost city.

Muhammad's sword: The Sword is strong and is unable to rust or wear old or grow dull. Strangely the Sword seems to only gift those that hold it the ability to speak fluent Arabic and hold faithful muslims in awe. perhaps John will find other powers in it but for now that has been all.

Bow of Apollo: This beautiful bow that shines with the glory of a rising sun is a truly powerful artifact. It lunches fiery bolts at it's targets and there his no distance that the arrow can not travel. And the arrows used can be forged by the very fires of thought and imagination that it's wielder wishes. Making an assortment of all kinds of bolts that can be used for all purposes. A weapon worthy of the beautiful and creative Apollo.

Swords of Beowulf: Hrunting: The Sword given to Beowulf to slay Grendel's mother, but ultimately failed to cut her flesh. Though the sword failed then it is still very powerful and able to cut through most material as well as giving it's owner increased strength, speed, and ability to wield it. The Giant's Sword: The sword that was lifted by Beowulf and slew the immortal mother of Grendel. The sword is still damaged from the fight with half the blade gone after the blood that stained it melted the metal away. The Hilt and what's left of the blade though remains very large and extremely heavy, but those able to wield it may find that this broken blade can still cut through much and even melt away material with the acidity of the blood that once stained it. Naegling: The Sword snapped during Beowulf's final fight with the Dragon because his might was too much for the metal. John though was able to retrieve the blades and reforged this mighty weapon. Using dragon blood in the forging process John had recreated this beautiful gem embedded blade into a true divine work of art. The blade will never again break, due to the dragon blood, and cuts through all material with great ease. Not even Dragon scale can hold up against the blade, and because of the blood used to forge it any immortal dragon can be slain with it.

Ring of Dispel: This ring was given to Sir Lancelot by the Lady of the Lake which could dispel any enchantment. He used the ring to cross the Sword Bridge

The Tonbogiri: is one of three legendary Japanese spears created by the famed swordsmith Masazane Fujiwara, said to be wielded by the daimyō Honda Tadakatsu. The spear derives its name from the myth that a dragonfly landed on its blade and was instantly cut in two.

Kronus' sickle: made of Adamantine and able to cut through anything. Cronus was given this sword by Gaea so that he could slay Uranus. It is said that those who wield the sickle of Kronus can perform feats that allow them to have control over time. To pause, slow down, speed up, manipulate age, and other magics that the user could imagine.

The Ancile: A shield once used by the god of war. The shield itself is indestructible but beyond that it has no other uses other than a shield.

The Shield of Evalach: a white shield belonging to the titular king. Josephus of Arimathea painted a red cross upon it with his own blood, which granted the owner heavenly protection. It was later won by Sir Galahad. The most powerful of the shields in John's possession this Shield can protect not just the user but all those the user wishes to protect as well.

The Helm of Darkness: created by the Cyclopes for Hades. It made the wearer invisible. Also used by Perseus.

Over his 2000 year life John has collected many if not more artifacts of power and keeps them hidden away so that no one can hide them and use them. He may have an artifact on him but that will most likely be the Holy Grail or Key of Atlantis. The other artifacts he keeps tucked away even from himself. It is his job to watch the world and protect these items can not be wielded by the unworthy.

History

Titus grew up in Ancient Rome as a young man whose father was a famous general and advisor to the current emperor. Growing up in a privileged and well to do life. Like every roman boy he worshipped the gods and loved to watch the gladiators fight. He enjoyed all types of arena games and with his high postion of class he could be found sitting among the nobles of Rome. Though much changed in Titus' life one day, after a night of hard drinking and parties, when he was scheduled to spar with the Emperor's Son. During the match Titus killed the boy and was then banished from rome only because of his father being well received by the emperor. He was banished to Israel as low ranking member of the legion. There he met the woman that would forever be the love of his life. He quickly became swooned with the woman, who happened to be a follower of a local rabbi named Yeshua. Or as history would know him as Jesus. As time went on Titus grew more in love with this woman and she grew more in love with him even taking Titus to see Yeshua in person. They talked and had a pleasant conversation but Titus was a son of rome and he wasn't going allow some poor jewish rabbi change that. Until one day he was declared that Titus' master Centurion would be in charge of the Death of Yeshua. Titus became a witness to the crucifixion and stood on the hill, nailed the man to the tree, and casted lots for his clothing. Soon though as Yeshua breathed his last a mighty earthquake began to shake the ground. They had to leave the mount, which meant the prisoners had to die. Though as Titus approached Yeshua's cross he noticed that he had died already. He called for his Centurion who then ordered him to make sure. John took his spear in hand and stabbed the side of Yeshua. The earth quite shaking and the storms began to pass and as Titus looked up at the body watching as blood and water flowed from it a woman came by and collected what she could in a cup as she wept. A few days later Titus witnessed the resurrected Christ and from that day forward he ran from the legion and lived among other believers in Israel. As well as marrying the woman he fell in love with. Later it would be decided that Titus (who was now named John) would be the sole keeper of the Grail. With his new found immortality John lived many more years watching and guiding the world in his own way. Looking for artifacts and gaining many friends, enemies, and students along the way.

John looked surprised when the slender woman formed from the very air before him and threw the young man towards the others before he could react. John quickly drew his blade before he made another action towards the woman but before he could again think of cutting her down she was gone again and the ring of a gun rang out through the bar as the slug approached John.

He attempted to act, but only his instincts kicked in close enough to somewhat save his life. He jerked to the side and the large slug grazed his side. A large portion of John's chest was missing, but it was not merely as much damage as it should have been. Which meant he was more than just a simple man. He put his sword back into the Scabbard with a very weak action. He looked a bit sickly, yet he carried a smile on his face when he looked at the Androids.

"You ask where my God is? How can a soulless machine ask such a question? A machine made of the very metals and minerals of the earth? A being prone to rust and decay just like any other being." John said. He smiled large as the blood spilled down the right side of body. "No time for Apologetics...or as the Greeks would call speaking in Defense. So come ask me the question when the moment is much better and you have a soul to worry about."

John looked dizzy and it looked like he was struggling to stand up at the moment. He closed his long brown jacket which began to stain as the blood seeped through the fabric to the other side. John took a deep breath and opened his jacket to reveal that the wound was healed and he was fine once more. The color returning quickly to his face. "I'm afraid I can't let you do that...or take my things. Though I would like to add that eye to my collection."

"Stealing their artifacts? I've had a few of the things I have now long before your first emperor could crawl. And my how you all remind me of the Romans...I should know I was a Roman myself. Filled with pride and this insane notion that the empire was eternal. And I only protect the artifacts from those that would use it for ill-gain like yourself." John said. He shook his head and laughed a loud and echoing laugh that could be heard through all of Gambit's.

"Oh dear, look at me talking to this system of gears and springs. Had I known I was going to be talking to a toaster oven today I would have just stayed home." he said. John watched both Aiyannas and nodded his head with the same large smile on his face.

"Well, glory be to God if he has blessed you with souls. He is much wiser than I ever hope to be so if you do have souls than so be it. Though if you do have souls I ask you now to stand down and refrain from the path you are taking as it leads only to your own destruction." John said to the two machines with his smiling leaving his face and a very serious cowl crossing his face. He took the hilt of his blade in his hand and waited to act.

John smiled still and shook his head. "All empires fall, I know of this fact by living through all the years. And Humanity has a time when itself will be gone, and that is just the way of all things. I watch and I protect humanity only to a degree because humanity must learn to make it's own way. Through it's own sins and mistakes they will learn and experience is one hell of a teacher. And it is all for a reason beyond myself and you even. You who are tainted and corrupted by lies of an enemy who can deceive all manner of people because he holds many powers. You may mock me all you want, but in the end you will know that what you serve is not God, but a perversion of your own will that you try to claim is God's will. Like so many before you." John took his blade out of his Scabbard and revealed his blade Naegling.

"Silence now, machine, because you only speak your own perverted truths and testaments of twisted miracles that are not of God. And by the way your not the first bit of Armor worn by angels in heaven." John gave the girl a big grin and pointed the tip of the blade at the machine girl. "Now are you going to stand there and shove religion down my throat or are you going to act?" he said with a chuckle.

John heard the soft voice in his head and knew that it was from a man of skilled mental powers, but he could not place where the man was at the time. Being that he was focused on the machine girl before him and a strange new being that appeared. John put his sword away and then looked around as if ignoring the new being and the machine that was treating his life at first.

"Yes, I suppose that is all well in good." John said as he looked around the bar to see who might possess the voice he had just heard in his own head. Not at all looking at the other two. Until he saw the aging man that was near the front of the bar and gave a puzzled look. He then went back to look at Aiyannaand Zee.

"As I have said before there is a season for all things and at this moment. Apologetics at this moment are unwise a topic after being shot in the chest by one of your guns and with tensions as they are. You both declare more knowledge and wisdom than I, yet I see only basic human like understanding in both. Do not be alarmed for I as well share only human understanding in all things. And I must protect the liberty, equality, and free will of mankind and nothing else."

John clapped his hands as if dust were on them. "You two are all bark and no bite and I wash my hands of this discussion."

John was going to leave the machine and the the spirit man behind himself before he was stopped in his tracks by the words of what the man said. John raised a brow and nodded his head. It was not his first time he was apporached by such tongues but it had been in a secret and dark place where no other person could hear the utterance of the angelic tongues. John sighed and shook his head.

"Speaking an advanced form of glossolaia that harms others is no way to address a person in public. For now I will accept what you say but I will continue to test their spirit. And if what you say is indeed truth and you want me to accept it for the time being you will order the release of the young man. And you will let me continue to find and hide away all things that man is not yet ready for." John commanded as he turned and walked again only to stop once more and turn to Zee once more. "And you should know that language is not to be spoken unless in a secret and holy place for it does not benefit others to hear it." John than walked off some more to see if the young man was indeed fine.

John Titus Templar walked calmly into Gambit's bar with a book held in his hand and placed just in front of his face. The immortal knight read Paradise Lost as he walked through gambit's bar and made his way towards his usualy spot at the bar. He wore his usual brown overcoat that flapped behind him as he walked. His hair was long and done up in a male ponytail and his bread was trimmed in a clean and neat goatee.

As he walked passed the patrons he never really once looked up from his book and was easily avoiding and passing through the usual bar obstacles. Like pulling out chairs, moving bodies, the slight dip in the floor from the main room to the bar counter. The entire time looking very intrested in his book and even chuckling to himself every so often.

When he got to the bar coutner he stopped reading long enough to take his seat and then order his usual pint of beer from the barkeep. Sitting in his usual seat and rubbing his goatee as he read his book.

The ground shook and the bar counter went bending into itself when the large beast pounded his fists against the fixture. John though continued to read his book and as his beer jumped into the air his hand quickly caught it without him spilling a drip. He rose the glass to his lips and took a nice swig before placing the glass down in the only spot on the counter where the glass wouldn't go slipping in towards the large Minotaurs.

Once his drink was safe he looked down towards Tanya and gave her a large smile. The warmth and compassion seemed to eminate off this man like a form of energy. And his eye's glowed like that of a father towards his children. "Hello child." he said towards the sheepish girl.

John Titus' eyes grew a little large when the girl's hand came across his face though it didn't much hurt the man. He looked down at the girl with a raised eyebrow and chuckled a little only to then shake his head and lift his book back up to his face to continue reading.

"I did not know that, but I call many child as we are all children of God." he said. Turing the page in his book after giving his finger a quick lick and than grabbing his glass of beer to drink while he enjoyed his epic poem.

John felt a hard blow in his groain and he grunted a bit as he lowered his book from his book and leaned over the bar. He looked around and then towards the book with a confused look on his face and shook his head. He had no idea what he did wrong and didn't think he was being unsociable as the girl said he was being. He was just reading one of his favorite books.

The pain was quickly gone thanks to his healing and he gave a slight sigh. Well that was a bit unexpected to be attacked in the manner he was. Though John was always quick to forgive and he went back to his beer, but he looked towards the Minotaurs who were causing a bit of trouble. He thought he might have to help prevent something horrible from happening. Though people here were capable of standing their ground. So John lifted his book Paradise Lost back up to his face and continued reading.

John Titus continued reading his poem of Paradise Lost as he sat at the bar. He could over hear the conversation that was being had by the large beasts and the pagan nord. Though he thought it would be wise to move from the seat he was much to involved in his current read at the moment. If he has to move than he will do so when he has too.

He sat there reading his book and drinking his pint of beer. Never really concerned with the matters of the world beyond his book at the moment. Things could be becoming dangerous or intersting, but at the moment the poem was much more imporant to him.

John continued reading his book until the last drip of beer hit his tounge. He placed the empty glass down on the counter and then lowered his book from his face. He gripped the back of his neck anc tried popping his neck. After a while he managered a few good cricks and his eyes shot open slightly.

The angelic like man yawned slightly and gave a brief sigh of relief. He looked around the bar at all the patrons of the bar until he noticed a young lady who was bond in a wheelchair. His eyes grew sad when he looked at her and could feel pain coming from her. He lifted himself off the bar stool and tucked his book away in his coat pocket.

He walked towards the girl and when he got close enough he offered her a large smile and his hand reached out towards her in greeting. "Hello, child, my name is John Titus. I would love to know the name of the well mannered and beautiful young woman that is before me." He said to Richelle.

"What a pretty name, Richelle." he said to her as he carefully took her hand in his and gave it a small kiss. He would take a knee beside the young woman and placed one of his hands on the arm of her wheelchair and and another one on her shoulder. Remaining careful to not harm her in anyway.

"Richelle, I have a speical gift to heal others and I was wondering if you would allow me to heal you?" he asked. The man seemed serious and his eyes expressed the compassion he had for her. There was no pity or guilt in any of his words because in his mind all were broken creatures who lost their way or have their share of bad luck. It was the way of life.

"You see I am blessed with the powers of angels and I only wish to also bless you." he said. "Will you allow me to help you out of your chair?"

John nodded his head and smilied at the young woman as he bushed a small bit of her hair behind her ear. "I understand, child, why you feel such dread when it comes to those willing to heal you beyond the limits of normal men in both medicine and magic. Though what I possess in the art of healing is not magic but pure divine energy that no mere mage could hope to harness." he said.

"I respect your choice though and allow you to live as you see fit. You are filled with great courage and strength beyond that of many others that are in this room. Though your flesh is fragile your spirit is not. Continue being strong as you are. But before I go I would like to bless you in another way."

John placed his thumb on her forehead. "If you will allow me let me take what saddness and grief rests in your mind. As well as the doubt you have in yourself and your inner strength."

John smiled as he closed his eyes and slightly prayed to himself. He would draw out what negative emotions he could from her mind. She herself able to feel a strange warm energy that was unlike magic. When he was done he would take his hand away from her head and would stand up and move a few steps back.

He looked like he was in physical pain after taking in the poison of her mind and was clenching his stomach in his arms. His eyes seemed saddned and he gagged a few times.

John smiled at the girl and then walked away as he went to the bathroom. Once inside he leaned over the sink and began pucking a strange white foam from his mouth. The poison of a mind that manifested itself in his body when he took it in. His body now expelling it as this clearly visible white thick foam.

As it neared the end it drooled out of his mouth and pooled in the sink. He lifted himself up and began running the water to wash it down. He took a paper towel and wiped his mouth clean. The very smell of the substance was even worse than vomit and he waited till the goo was gone before he left the bathroom.

As he left the bathroom he checked his breath. It smelled horrible after expelling the toxic substance from his body. He covered his mouth as he left Gambit's Bar to go wash his mouth. waving a good bye to the young woman as he did.

John Titus Templar walked into the bar wearing his usual business casual suit that one would see a college professor wearing, as well as long tan overcoat that went over all of it. His hair was a light brown and long, so it was tied down in a male ponytail. His facial hair going into a nicely trimmed goatee. As always he carried a smile on his face and a book in his hand. Reading the epic poem of Paradise Lost. His very presence seemed to emit a type of compassion and mercy that even a normal person could feel.

Of course he was coming here for business or at least that was what a vision had told him in a dream. What he was to do was unknown to him at the current moment, but he was told that he would know when the moment arouse. So as he walked in he came in with a casual stride as he walked with his book just in front of his face. He seemed a little fixated.

Though as he got closer towards the center of Gambit's he lowered his book and took a look around. Noticing Randin and the strange girl mocking him. Then it clicked and he nodded his head. That police officer was the man he was suppose to talk too. So John dogeared his place in the book and placed it in his overcoat pocket as he made his way towards the officer.

"Officer...oh my." he said. Seeing that he was in a conflict with a supernatural being John decided to talk a step back and watch the results. Would the detective need help? Would John have to help step in? Would the man have time to talk?

John had seen enough Randin had put up a valiant fight but he had come to his limit. He was indeed a powerful human but he was an aging man with many years and a lot of pain in his eyes. Now it was time for John to act out to protect the man. It was foolish to allow the fight to continue like he let it.

John unfolded his metaphysical wings from his being what would bring it's own light into the dark bar. Though it would remain unseen by mortal eyes. With one flap of the wings he was dashed faster than the blink of an eye over Randin and looking at the evil spirit of darkness. John Titus would not allow this to continue any longer. While Randin might just see a well built man in his 30s wearing an overcoat the other being being a different being would see the Angelic energy that emitted from the man. His eyes glowing a bright blue and white light and his Metaphysical wings spanned out protecting Randin.

"Enough, I have seen enough from you demon. I will not have a foul spirit as yourself bring harm to this man or ruin his character." he said. John's usual calm and happy demeanour was changed with a scowl on his face and "if looks could kill" kind of stare in his eyes.

John was indeed affected by the blast of the psy grenade. The blast had sent him flying off some and he landed on his back with a loud thud. He growled while his head was pounding itself in a full blown migraine that he had not felt in such a long time. Though John was immortal with an angelic spirit he was still a mortal with flesh and blood and this wasn't going to be a fun experience.

He got to his knee and held on to his head for a moment breathing heavily as the power of the Holy Grail that was connected to his soul healed his body and mind even from the great distance away from the artifact. After the pain had passed he looked panicked. What had happened to Randin? Oh, this was not good, John was suppose to talk to the man and he couldn't well do that if the man had killed himself.

He looked about the bar until he had spotted Randin's body and dashed over to his side. He looked over the man hoping that he had survived. If he was alive John could heal him, but if he should die that would be a different story entirely. He put his fingers down to Randin's neck and checked for a pulse.

John Titus Templar walked into the dojo looking around as his overcoat dragged behind him. Around his shoulder was a good sized athletic bag filled with everything he would need. He took off his coat and placed his bag on a bench near the wall. When he saw Paul he would casually walk up towards the young man and would tilt his head with a large grin on his face.

"Training hard still, my friend?" he asked. "You seem fit but a little worn as if you have been slacking some through if you don't mind me saying."

"Defeat in the Arena, huh? Well I'm glad to see that you are taking the defeat well and training hard. It has been a long time since we saw each other last, I hope you'll forgive me for disappearing on you like I did." he said, rubbing his goatee then pulling on his ponytail some.

"I was drawn into another adventure, and one I never thought would come so soon. Though I guess thats how this world works people are becoming faster than ever before."
