Equipment

The Artifacts of Power:

The Holy Grail: John is the keeper and protector of the Holy Grail. The cup that was used during Christ's last supper and the cup that collected the living water and blood that flowed from his wounds on the cross. The Grail possess powers from the Almighty that can heal any wound and any disease. Those who have died may be given life again if they are found worthy to have their life given to them again. John has found a way to connect his soul to the holy grail which gives him amazing healing abilities and his immortality without having to keep the grail on his person. With his soul acting as a conduit John can heal the wounds and illnesses of others even allow those who are blind to see. He can't though bring people back from the dead unless he has the grail itself. The Grail though will resurrect John should he ever die because of his soul connection. There remains only two things that can rid the world of John. He must give his blessing to someone else or be killed with the spear of destiny.

The Spear of Destiny: John is also keeper and protector of the Spear of Destiny. The very weapon the stuck the side of christ on the day of his crucifixion. The weapon gives the power of any who use it the skill and mastery of anyone who once held the spear in their hands and used it in battle. It also offers a large strength and speed boost to the person. What makes this weapon so alluring though is it's power to kill any immortal or god. If a lethal blow is hit with this spear and if the person be any type of god of immortal they will die. John has hidden the spear away and even he doesn't use it. It is safely tucked far away in a tomb.

Druid hourglass: Created by the Druids of the British isles when their home was being conquered by the Romans. They never were given the chance to use the large glass, and how they created it and got the designs for it remain a mystery. It is a very alien looking device that does not much resemble an hour-glass but it called so due to the shifting crimson grains under the glass of the face. When asked what these grains where John says that it is human bone covered and stained by blood that was crushed into a fine dust. The Device is able to open wormholes that can lead to a desired time and or place. Making time travel possible.

Ark of the Covenant: The most powerful of John's Artifacts that is to remained unknown to all people until he deems it the right time to bring it back into the light.

The Seal of Solomon: This is one of the most powerful rings to ever appear in the mortal realm. The Seal of Solomon was a ring gifted to Solomon from God so that Solomon could bind and control all forms of demons. Not even Lucifer himself is immune to the effects, and with it a single man could control all of Hell's Armies. Though one must be of pure heart and sound mind so that the influence of the dark powers brought by devils and fallen angels do not taint the mind of the user. Even Solomon had a hard time.

The Key of Solomon: A book that was created when the 1000 lovers of Solomon decided to collect all the most powerful magic and spells from all their original homelands into a single book and give it to wise Solomon. It was and still is the most powerful book of magic and spells ever created and could making any wizard of mage far more powerful then they could imagine.

The Staff of Moses: The Staff of Moses is a very powerful artifact that has many abilities. It can create miracles, invoke the plagues Egypt on a target, and shift into a very deadly snake.

Crown of Thorns: The Crown of thrones is the very one that was placed on the head of Jesus Christ. Those who don the crown are filled with all the knowledge and wisdom of the universe, but at the cost of extreme pain that the user would possibly be killed by.

Key of Atlantis: The very Key to the Doors of Atlantis. Those who do not have this key can not enter the lost city.

Muhammad's sword: The Sword is strong and is unable to rust or wear old or grow dull. Strangely the Sword seems to only gift those that hold it the ability to speak fluent Arabic and hold faithful muslims in awe. perhaps John will find other powers in it but for now that has been all.

Bow of Apollo: This beautiful bow that shines with the glory of a rising sun is a truly powerful artifact. It lunches fiery bolts at it's targets and there his no distance that the arrow can not travel. And the arrows used can be forged by the very fires of thought and imagination that it's wielder wishes. Making an assortment of all kinds of bolts that can be used for all purposes. A weapon worthy of the beautiful and creative Apollo.

Swords of Beowulf: Hrunting: The Sword given to Beowulf to slay Grendel's mother, but ultimately failed to cut her flesh. Though the sword failed then it is still very powerful and able to cut through most material as well as giving it's owner increased strength, speed, and ability to wield it. The Giant's Sword: The sword that was lifted by Beowulf and slew the immortal mother of Grendel. The sword is still damaged from the fight with half the blade gone after the blood that stained it melted the metal away. The Hilt and what's left of the blade though remains very large and extremely heavy, but those able to wield it may find that this broken blade can still cut through much and even melt away material with the acidity of the blood that once stained it. Naegling: The Sword snapped during Beowulf's final fight with the Dragon because his might was too much for the metal. John though was able to retrieve the blades and reforged this mighty weapon. Using dragon blood in the forging process John had recreated this beautiful gem embedded blade into a true divine work of art. The blade will never again break, due to the dragon blood, and cuts through all material with great ease. Not even Dragon scale can hold up against the blade, and because of the blood used to forge it any immortal dragon can be slain with it.

Ring of Dispel: This ring was given to Sir Lancelot by the Lady of the Lake which could dispel any enchantment. He used the ring to cross the Sword Bridge

The Tonbogiri: is one of three legendary Japanese spears created by the famed swordsmith Masazane Fujiwara, said to be wielded by the daimyō Honda Tadakatsu. The spear derives its name from the myth that a dragonfly landed on its blade and was instantly cut in two.

Kronus' sickle: made of Adamantine and able to cut through anything. Cronus was given this sword by Gaea so that he could slay Uranus. It is said that those who wield the sickle of Kronus can perform feats that allow them to have control over time. To pause, slow down, speed up, manipulate age, and other magics that the user could imagine.

The Ancile: A shield once used by the god of war. The shield itself is indestructible but beyond that it has no other uses other than a shield.

The Shield of Evalach: a white shield belonging to the titular king. Josephus of Arimathea painted a red cross upon it with his own blood, which granted the owner heavenly protection. It was later won by Sir Galahad. The most powerful of the shields in John's possession this Shield can protect not just the user but all those the user wishes to protect as well.

The Helm of Darkness: created by the Cyclopes for Hades. It made the wearer invisible. Also used by Perseus.

Over his 2000 year life John has collected many if not more artifacts of power and keeps them hidden away so that no one can hide them and use them. He may have an artifact on him but that will most likely be the Holy Grail or Key of Atlantis. The other artifacts he keeps tucked away even from himself. It is his job to watch the world and protect these items can not be wielded by the unworthy.

History

Titus grew up in Ancient Rome as a young man whose father was a famous general and advisor to the current emperor. Growing up in a privileged and well to do life. Like every roman boy he worshipped the gods and loved to watch the gladiators fight. He enjoyed all types of arena games and with his high postion of class he could be found sitting among the nobles of Rome. Though much changed in Titus' life one day, after a night of hard drinking and parties, when he was scheduled to spar with the Emperor's Son. During the match Titus killed the boy and was then banished from rome only because of his father being well received by the emperor. He was banished to Israel as low ranking member of the legion. There he met the woman that would forever be the love of his life. He quickly became swooned with the woman, who happened to be a follower of a local rabbi named Yeshua. Or as history would know him as Jesus. As time went on Titus grew more in love with this woman and she grew more in love with him even taking Titus to see Yeshua in person. They talked and had a pleasant conversation but Titus was a son of rome and he wasn't going allow some poor jewish rabbi change that. Until one day he was declared that Titus' master Centurion would be in charge of the Death of Yeshua. Titus became a witness to the crucifixion and stood on the hill, nailed the man to the tree, and casted lots for his clothing. Soon though as Yeshua breathed his last a mighty earthquake began to shake the ground. They had to leave the mount, which meant the prisoners had to die. Though as Titus approached Yeshua's cross he noticed that he had died already. He called for his Centurion who then ordered him to make sure. John took his spear in hand and stabbed the side of Yeshua. The earth quite shaking and the storms began to pass and as Titus looked up at the body watching as blood and water flowed from it a woman came by and collected what she could in a cup as she wept. A few days later Titus witnessed the resurrected Christ and from that day forward he ran from the legion and lived among other believers in Israel. As well as marrying the woman he fell in love with. Later it would be decided that Titus (who was now named John) would be the sole keeper of the Grail. With his new found immortality John lived many more years watching and guiding the world in his own way. Looking for artifacts and gaining many friends, enemies, and students along the way.

"Yes I have by my actions alone, and I've been around the block long enough to see the results of my decisions. We all decide the fate of many others we have never met and perhaps will never hope to meet, every choose a person makes, everything someone does will eventually affect the life of someone else." he said, John nodded his head and pulled on his ponytail some.

"I can not say what I will teach you will be enough, but if you listen to me, reflect on what I will teach you, and keep practicing it you might find yourself ready. Do not be discouraged, son. Your fate is not your soul cross to bare unless you make it so."

"No one man or woman knows exactly what is before them. And though it may seem you have been given an extremely heavy weight to bare it does not have to be your's alone. And from my experience I found that we live in a place where divine fate can perfectly mix with personal free will-- as ludicrous an idea that might sound." He said, John walking up to Paul and gripping him tightly on the shoulder.

"Come now think of other things, student." he said. "I have much to teach and show you. I will need for you to pack all your things and leave behind many loved ones. If you wish for my help you are going to have to follow me and it will not be easy."

"Then I can not train you. Your friend is more than welcome to come, but I am afraid that I can train you if you are unwilling to follow me. It will be hard to leave but this is not just for your benefit if what you say about the prophecy is true. I am sorry but this is something I can not change." he said. John walked over back to his bag and coat and placed both underarm.

"I will remain in the city to the best of my ability. Though if another adventure takes me or I find a student more willing you might not see me for some time. If you change your mind be perhapped to leave and then seek me out."

John smiled at him and gave him a nod. "Goodbye my friend I pray that you find comfort and whatever you seek." he said. John tucked everything away and headed for the door. He pushed on the door and stopped halfway out. He looked back at Paul.

"I know you might feel that you will be hurting your little drake friend. I've been around long enough and I have met you both to know that a bond can be strong, but your friend will be fine. Follow me and his life will go on." John said, nodding his head and then leaving once more from the dojo.

John Titus walked along the side-walk towards Gambit's bar at a slow pace as he held out a book in front of his face. Looking up only to make sure he hadn't veered off the path by mistake. When he finally got to Gambit's bar reached out his hand and grasped the handle, pulling the door open for an entering woman, and then entering himself. Never once looking up from his book while doing so.

Once inside John looked up from his book, The Pilgrim's Progress, a worn book with to many dog ears for it to close properly. One quick glance, that was all he needed; the man combed a hand through his long hair gave his pony-tail a quick tug and his eyes went back to his book. He began walking once more with his brown overcoat tail lifting up in pace to his foot steps.

Without looking back up he maneuvered around all the tables and chairs that would proof to be obstacles in his way. Twisting around to avoid walking into someone and stopping as a group passed him. Never once tripping, bumping, or crashing into a single person on his way to sit at an open stool at the bar counter.

When he finally rested himself on that stool he put his old book down and replaced it by placing a halo-menu in front of his face. He rubbed his goatee a little as he gave the drinks a look. Perhaps a rich full-bodied beer? What about a strong vodka? Maybe some rum? So many options.

"Rum on the rocks." he said, giving the robo-tender a quick smile and back to his old book he went.

A beautiful morning for what everyone hoped would be a beautiful day while people resumed what normalcy they could in their lives. It was these quiet chilly mornings that mirrored what Terra use to be for so many before the whole space age and the renaissance of magic. But of course with this time of year people would always argue that magic never left. A nice sentiment of course but the Christmas season has had his fill of heartache for so many others. Especially in this age of consent ground war, civil unrest, and crime rates that are simply outrageous. It was enough to break an old man's heart, and at times it did break an old man's heart who had lived for so very long.

John was walking the streets of Wing City, and though he looked like he was early thirties he was much older than most on this world. His long brown hair was done up in a male pony-tail, his facial hair was trimmed in a neat goatee, and he wore the clothes of a college professor with an overcoat for the cold weather. In his arms was a large cardboard box with little canned foods, a coat, and a few old toys. On it's side was the word Donations.

"Hello ma'am, I'm helping the local catholic city missions department and I was wondering if..." The door to the town house closed in his face with a lame excuse that interrupted his little introduction. John sighed and picked his box back up and walked down the streets once more.

After a few blocks and more failed attempts he spied a group of Soldiers walking the streets. A smile spread over John's face and he quickened his pace. But not to much because he didn't want to look like a fanatic.

"Excuse me!" he said. "I was just wondering if any of you might able to provide donations to the local mission. All proceeds go to those without homes and can really give a young kid a merry Christmas." He smiled at the group while proudly presenting his box of humble donations.

John watched with wide eyes when the bullets were packed into his box and he gave a slight concerned look. He couldn't give children bullets and he prayed that this man wasn't serious. But when the arm popped off John smirked and he chuckled to himself as well. It reminded him of his son David who had a prosthetic leg. Though the bullets were just a joke he gladly took them knowing he could pawn them off at a shop for some cash.

"Well all proceeds help and I'm sure you'd make a young man very happy with a robot arm. I could hook it up to some large action figure and give it real kung-fu action." he said, attempting his own joke for the soldiers.

Joh shook his head at Losi and gave her a very warm and loving smile. An honest smile. "It's quite alright I've had my fair-share of battles before in my life and it's good to let loose. I'm putting in some work for a local mission here in Wing City known as St. Nicholas Missions. As in Santa Clause."

John smiled at all the soldiers and nodded his head when they placed their donations in the box. Though what they didn't know was that John himself blessed the box, which would in turn bless those that donated. A sense of peace, love, and righteous pride washing over them that placed their proceeds.

"Yes Sir, all proceeds go straight to the children and their families. And I make sure they do since I own the charity and because I own my own vineyard I'm not sure I actually need the money for booze." He said. "And thank you all for all the donations this is really going to help. For the necklace, the money, and the wonderful glyph that I know will make a certain young woman very happy."

John placed the box down on the ground and patted his overcoat pockets. His brows moved up and down and his eyes shifted in different directions. He hummed to himself and shook his head a few times. Until finally his eye's lightened up and he pulled out a pendent necklace for each sailor. A pendent of Saint Agathius the patron saint of Soldiers. "Here I want you all to take one for yourselves. These were blessed by me personally and they can offer you protection and peace in times of hardships." he said, walking to each soldier and giving one to each by placing it in their hands personally. He even took Losi's hand and kissed it when he gave her a pendent necklace.

"And where would this group of men be without such a beautiful hearted woman such as yourself?" He chuckled at her. He went back to his box and snapped his fingers. Like he remembered something. "Speaking of my vineyard." He reached into his box and pulled out a bottle of wine. A bottle that Losi would have noticed wasn't there before since she was the first to the box.

"Straight from my vineyard and aged in my cellar to perfection." He would hand the bottle to Losi and then he picked his box up. "Well, Merry Christmas." he said, taking his donations and walking past the soldiers.

John looked around and smiled at the man as his hand lifted up to his chest. "Entertain you? i'm afraid I don't follow you." he said. John pulled the back of this male pony tail. He then rubbed his goatee and walked closer to the man that was addressing him.

John popped his neck and shrugged his shoulders. He didn't see anything wrong with a little sparing match, but the setting was a strange one to have one in compared to a place like the dojo or arena. But he accepted the fight none-the-less and nodded his head. John placed his hands behind his back and waited for the man.

"Well I'm as ready as i'm going to be." he said with a smile on his face.

John Titus would have been on his way towards a different danger that was taking place in a different area. Something about a monster in the middle of downtown with a miltia that needed some help, but it would seem that emergency would have to wait because Wing City Hospital was having it's own problems. John could sense a form of evil in the building and see the wreckage that was caused on the outside from the resulting attack. This wasn't going to fly with the long lived knight, and the monster problem was going to have to wait while a closer danger was at hand.

John Titus wearing his red button up, dress pant, casual shoes, and overcoat he looked more like a college professor more than a hero. But he was well built and looked very fit so perhaps he would have a chance. He pulled back on his ponytail and threw his overcoat flaps behind him. Revealing his beautiful blade Naegling; a Celtic long-sword bestowed with gems.

He drew his Blade and made his way towards the front doors of the building.

John Titus noticed all the cop vans and cars that were around. This was horrible with the amount of police who were dead already on the outside. But he noticed one thing about one of the police vans. The scratches, scorch marks, and dents that were in one of the armoured van's door, but didn't make it all the way through. John rushed to the door and yanked the armored door from the van and embedded his arm into the interior of the door. Using the door like a shield.

With his door shield and his dragon sword he entered through the doors of the Hospital with ease. He was curious as to why it was that easy to enter, but he soon came up with the answer in his own head when he heard the sounds of gunfire down the halls.

John would rush down the halls using his Angelic speed to zoom past each wing that was empty with a blur of motion. Eventually he found the men that were having their sadistic fun.

"You all!" he said, his voice booming. "I will give you a chance to stop what you are doing and turn yourselves in now. Take that chance or I will be forced to attack." John readied his sword and held out his door shield.

John had been woken up hours ago by a haunting dream that was provided to him by heavenly hosts. A dream in which they warned him of an untimely death due to a savage creature. And so John walked after the very moment he had woken up to the place in his dream where the Angels had warned him and commanded him to go. And it would be soon that he would come close to this place he had seen once in his vision. A desolate place beneath the large stretch of highway that was filled with many dead and rotting things-- the smell of death from previous road-kill very much ripe as he grew closer.

And with concern in his eyes he saw the trail of fresh blood glimmer in the pale light of the night moon. Oh how horrible a fate to be taken and eaten alive by some beast. This must have been the reason for the Angel's beckoning to save the poor person from this being and death itself.

John neared the underpass and recited to himself a small prayer; the prayer though wasn't one for himself but for the victim of this beast. A beast that John knew he must slay if he was given the chance. Not the first time for the warrior to have battled vileness in his long life.

So further in he went until he saw the rotting log and could hear the horrible sounds flesh being devoured. The sight of entrails lying on the dying grass and the smell of blood thick in the air.

"Beast!" John yelled. "Leave the body alone!" He said, yelling as if yelling at an animal to halt.

John didn't look like much compared to the monster that presented itself with his strong muscular body and sharp razor blades embedded deed in it's flesh, yet he was a tall muscular well built individual in his early thirties-- easily still in his prime.

His long brown hair done up in a male ponytail and his facial hair groomed in a neatly trimmed bread. His piecing green eyes looked furiously at the vile being whose maw was covered in blood soaked fur and large threatening fangs. And he didn't show any fear in his face or inclining that he was going to turn back. Except now that he knew the beast could speak his anger only grew all the more.

That an intelligent beast like this would kill this poor man while in his prime, and would rip him apart with no concern or guilt. To take the life of another intelligent being when there was other animals or meals to be had in the forests, this was unforgivable in this old warriors mind.

His usual smiling face replaced by a scowl that would appear whenever he should look on this monster. He quickly pulled back the flaps over his tanned overcoat and revealed a blade strapped to his waist. He drew the blade Naegling and pointed it at the direwolf.

"Be gone now beast or I will kill you!" he said, his voice full and commanding. "I promise you I will strike you down if you continue on with this pray. So I warn you now that it would be much easier and safer if you only eat prey that crawls in the forest. Do so now and never pray on innocent like these again or I will be forced to cut you down."

John pointed the tip of his blade right at the monster once the blades stood as if they were like fur on a wild beast. This did not scare him but he understood the fury in the beast and respected it-- John was never one to underestimate an enemy in his life. But like the true teacher he was as well, every word the beast spoke, John listened and took in so that nothing passed beyond his head.

John nodded his head at every statement the creature made, and his eyes that were filled with anger also began to fill with pity. The being had been through much and certainly that was not a fate that John wished upon any living creature.

"You are correct, beast." he said. "Man has been unkind too many of the great creations of this universe, but man has also been unkind to itself as well. There are many who have lived and been torn from home and watched as their families burn. Actions have taken place that have made many children orphans and wives widows. Your kind are not the only ones to suffer at the hands of man. For many are lost and hurt themselves." He said, lowering his sword as his words carried for weight. Perhaps this being could be talked down.

"This man you have taken though...he did not do these things to you. He was not the one that harmed your body and ripped your family apart. He was innocent and you know that. And no matter how you try to reason it, my friend, this person did no wrong towards you. So do not condemn him of the crimes he didn't commit." John said, putting his sword away and looking into the being's eyes. Looking with his green eyes that seemed to look deeper into the creature. Like he was looking right at the soul.

"You are in so much pain, my friend." he said. "And do not believe the misconception of striped down verses without the full word behind them. I can help you...Heal you if you let me. This is not who you were meant to be, but what man's sin has deemed you to be." John lifted his hand to be beast and took a knee to look at him at his level. "I can help you."

John seemed slightly disappointed with the being as he made his choice, but John could no more force his will on someone even if he wanted too. And there were moments he really wish he could to help prevent things from happening. Though he had to at least respect the creature's move even if he didn't agree with it. But shockingly enough he felt the the angelic presence in the beast as John himself was embedded with power much like it.

"I will thank you for standing down, but I'm afraid I can not let you devour any more innocent people like the one you took recently. While you may have to eat to survive and humans have wronged you there are those that need not be swept up by this hunger." He said, hunger holding two meaning as he spoke of the wolf's diet and his vengeance. "And while you might believe there is no helping you I am afraid I'm going to have to disagree with that."

John continued his kneel as he wished to remain on the wolf's level and show that he was concerned for him. To show the being that there was someone that cared for him. As foreign and strange that might be for many to accept, John honestly believed in forgiveness and second chances.

"Do not leave, my friend." he said. "Please come with me and I will find a way for you. To help and heal you. I will be by your side and accept you into my family." John smiled and it seemed warmth and love radiated from it. "Lord knows it's plenty big enough, but there is always more room." He laughed.

John reached behind his head and pulled on his ponytail slightly. A little mannerism of his ever since he grew the damn thing. He reached out his hand once more to the wolf. "Come follow me." he said. "The energy in you...the energy you feel I can help you with as well. Angelic energy is something I am familiar with. So please come with me and I'll help you."
