[12:53:27 PM] Revolver: Clan Havelshield’s Ideological Theory
By Clan Havelshield’s first scribe.

Jorn Gareif, dwarven leader of great House Havelshield, developed his political theories after carefully observing the policies of several successful Empires based off of the dwarves whose history has been written in the stone. He was born as a citizen of the Stone Lords Empire, which is a culmination of dwarven houses that banded together to build some of the greatest cities and fortresses known throughout the multiverse, and found himself growing up believing that even though its ethnic and linguistic diversity made it strong as a nation it had left it weakened as the dwarves he worshiped had always relied on help of elves and man even if there was no need for their aid. Further, he saw that democracy was a destabilizing force as it placed power in the hands of other races, who he claimed had incentives to further "weaken and destabilize" a Dwarven Empire for their own gains.
Lord Gareif’s ideals are heavily invested in the militarist belief that great nations grow from military power, which in turn grows "naturally" from "rational, civilized cultures." Lord Jorn Gareif appealed to the many disgruntled Dwarven Nationalists, eager to save face for the failure of several wars lost against the elven empires for beliefs based on the woodland peoples betraying their allies and allowing human transgressions to follow suit, and to salvage the militaristic nationalist mindset of that previous era. After The Hall of Stone, a military order based purely on dwarven fighters, and Clan Havelshield’s personal defeat of The Great War, many Dwarves still had heartfelt ties to the goal of creating a greater nation, and thought that the use of military force to achieve it was necessary. Many placed the blame for the Stone Lords Empire’s misfortunes on those whom they perceived, in one way or another, to have sabotaged the goal of national victory. Elves from their woodland Halflings, cousins to the snooty High Elf, and Human sympathizers became the ideal scapegoats for all of Clan Havelshield and several other dwarven clans as they became deeply invested in Lord Jorn Gareif and his new found ideology of a single dwarven nation without interference from the elves, humans, Halflings, and other races.
Jorn theorized that the Dwarven race is a master race as this ideal was based on the holy text of what was taken from the dwarven pantheon. It was also said by Lord Jorn, “that a nation is the highest creation of a race, and great nations were the creation of great races. These nations developed cultures that naturally grew from races with ‘natural good health, and aggressive, intelligent, courageous traits.’’ According to the ideals that Lord Jorn had spoken of it would however not be wrong of the dwarves to learn the language of the other races as it promotes our willingness to prove that we are superior to other beings. If one were to learn the language of the elves it would not be because he is weak and unskilled but is an artisan of being multilingual and that it should lead to praise and nothing more. Lord Jorn also believes that due to the dwarven race being out right the master race amongst the many peoples of the multiverse that anything and everything is bellow a dwarf and so is fit if not to be somewhat of an equal but also a slave.
It is not unheard of for a house noble to carry one if not several slaves as part of their property and they would be willing to tell you that the position that their property is in is better than not being owned at all. If you are a dwarf without a homeland to call your own you must pick up and join one of the many great houses or be considered a parasite to those who you are around. Once again mentioning Lord Jorn Gareif ideas of extended rationalizations into religious doctrine, claiming that those who agreed with and taught his "truths," were "true" or "master" religions, because they would "create mastery" by avoiding comforting lies. Those that preach love and tolerance, "in contravention to the facts," were said to be "slave" or "false" religions. The man who recognizes these "truths," Lord Jorn continued, was said to be a "natural leader," and those who deny it were said to be "natural slaves." "Slaves," especially intelligent ones, he claimed were always attempting to hinder masters by promoting false religious and political doctrines.

Clan Havelshield’s Economic Practice

The clan’s economic practice concerned itself with immediate domestic issues and separately with ideological conceptions of international economics.
Domestic economic policy was narrowly concerned with three major goals:
• Elimination of unemployment
• Elimination of hyperinflation
• Expansion of production of consumer goods to improve middle- and lower-class living standards.
All of these policy goals were intended to address the perceived shortcomings of The Stone Lords Empire and to solidify domestic support for the clans that joined under Lord Jorn. In this, the party was very successful. This expansion propelled the clan’s group economy out of a deep depression and into full employment in less than 2 and half years. This however was not simply done single handedly by Lord Jorn but with the aid of several close friends which he quickly promoted to his new empire in Clan Havelshield, adopting a couple into the clan itself while making others honorary members.

A portal opened up in the far end of the bar and a dwarf wearing rather strange garments stepped into the establishment followed by another of his kin who was wielding an even stranger staff. "So this is Terra?" Jorn Gareif muttered a little only to grip his cane within his right hand only to move along the side of the wall just to then make his way to the counter with his spell casting brother in tow. "What a rather strange place."

Jorn Gareif glanced over to Zallan just to catch her own glance at himself and his brother. The Dwarven noble just shook his head and began to wonder if this world was truly devoid of his kind. Maybe the stories were true that Terra had lost all of its magic but who would be able to know these things. Jorn simply began to look over the selection of beers and ales just to have a rather disgusted look upon his face. "Typical humans and their lack of good ales and drink alike."

If there was anything about this place that left something to the imagination was the structure of the bar as frayed walls revealed a dark material that appeared as stone but was something else entirely. "Not only can I not get a drink around this horrid establishment but it looks like a dragon came through here and took a shit upon whosoever dream this used to be." Jorn spoke just to then look over to his staff wielding brother who simply nodded at his words. "Maybe we were wrong for coming here." Jorn added only to then slowly move over to a broken chair and then to a downed soldier just to poke at him with his cane. "I doubt this world is even worth investing in anyway." Still the dwarf spoke more to himself than anything though his brother kept pace with his clan leader as they made their way through the bar.

Jorn Gareif glanced over to Sinclair and then to his staff just to have a look of pure gold on his face. "I came here in hopes of seeing something spectacular and taking advantage of goods and services but it seems that when fools war all is lost." Jorn spoke his mind only to continue to poke at the body he was standing infront of with his cane. The dwarf who accompanied Jorn just look at the group before him only to shake his head as the clan head was about to speak again when the cat spoke his mind. "They appear to me as nothing more than fools. They die for a world that is already dead. A world that from what I heard once held great life like dragons and other species now reduced to what I see before me. I expected a great scene before me and here I am looking upon a graveyard in a business that has no place housing the dead."

Jorn Gareif moved over towards Sinclair only to stroke his beard and nod a little as the sound of his cane would thump against the wood. "There be dragons back from were I come from and magic runs wild as its energies can be harnessed. Though it takes study and practice with the spells one can learn." The dwarf spoke only what he knew was true just to then turn to the cat Mafsha and then to his brother. "Let it be known cat I try to hold patience for you as I do for all people who I meet but try to understand that this world is worthless in more ways than one. I hope you do something noble with yourself otherwise you will set yourself up to fail and fall hard." When the woman spoke of meeting a dragon not to long ago he simply began to chuckle as many who met dragons tended to find themselves in trouble. "Be careful as many of those beasts would claim to be your friend when they only want your wealth."

"A Captain? Well I will do so to apologize to a cat that feels that his self importance here on another world is far more important than what truly matters. Or did you forget that you walk among dead men in this tavern and on the streets I presume?" Jorn glared at Mafsha as he began to show his signs of prejudiced against the strange feline. The few people that were in this place would show little promise to Jorn if this is all that this realm had to truly offer. The dwarf who carried the staff began to slowly open another portal back to the realm of Gaia but Jorn just shook his head. "Brother stop that as I have no intention of leaving just yet." Slowly the dwarven noble turned his attention back to Sinclair only to lean fully on his cane that he carried. "Then you should count yourself lucky I suppose. I will leave something for you if you wish to extend your talents so that when your ready to become more powerful you can seek my out." He spoke only to reach into his pocket and pull out a small sapphire that seemed to sparkle in the light of the bar. "Take it boy and when your ready to learn more you just need only wish to have another meeting with me." The clan leader turned to look back at Zallan only to nod a little finding that notion to be rather odd to him.

Jorn Gareif nodded to the young man who took the gift just to laugh a little. "Treat the gem kindly and we will meet again." Jorn was about to take his leave when the cat decided to speak. Jorn hated those who claimed to be doing good and hated even more those who spoke of war as if true glory would bring them closer to claiming to be right. "Then tell me Mafsha Sandrunner of Kroniktus, what makes you so aware of the situation on a world that is not yours that you would defend a military leader who from what I can see just from this tavern have a drink deep in enemy territory? What fool hardy notion is it that you cling to?" Jorn gave a cold hard stare at the cat as his silver eyes just seemed to close for a second while he would shake his head. "To think that my travels to other realms brings me here debating with a feline over what truly is before us. What makes you think that these people who come to this place are even innocent?"

Jorn Gareif did not back down from his position and continued to glare at the cat. "That is fine in all but what kind of foolishness does one have to follow when they come to a world that is torn by multiple factions. Look down at the dead and tell me that I am wrong on that." Jorn spoke only to smack one of the dead bodies at his feet with his cane. "My clan fought many a battle and respected our enemies. We defend ourselves to this very day but we do not just jump into some battle just because we wish to impress someone. The leader you defended from what I understand sounds like a fool if they will leave themselves open willingly in such a way as it invokes the anger of their enemies to come and try to kill." The dwarven wizard who came with Jorn stood his ground next to his clan leader as they booth looked up to the feline. "Killing for the sake of killing has no meaning when one party taunts the other to make a move. A child could have done what this leader had just done." The dwarf would not budge nor halter from his position as he kept on looking up at the cat before him. "If you claim to be part of this then you are no better than the fools who faught this battle in this tavern. I am sure the owner intended this to be a place of drink not death but you dishonor the man or woman who owns this establishment."

"You speak to me as if these people, these civilians, are defenseless?" Jorn spoke with a smile on his face. The silent brother raised his staff up high and watched as the end would glow only to illuminate the area behind the bar were Jorn himself would walk on over only to produce a pistol and place it upon the counter just to continue the process and continued to remove more and more weapons. "I presume these are firearms and your telling me that these people are defenseless!" If at all anything the Terrans were not defenseless. Jorn could only shake his head as he pulled out a rather long weapon only to fumble with it and dropped it jumped and falling over as the weapon went off leaving a rather large hole in the counter. The dwarf slowly got up off the ground just to dust himself off and look over to the group. "Cat next time you speak of these people being defenseless you tell whoever placed all these weapons here that they are far from it." Jorn made his way back over to his brother who lowered his staff and the two dwarves continued to look up to the cat. "No I highly doubt that this world has defenseless people. Considering if the weird speaking girl here met a dragon in this very bar I think your definition is highly skewed."

Jorn Gareif just continued to glare at the cat only to spit on the floor in front of the feline and mutter a few dwarven words. "So you feel the need to protect those around you when the act of war itself surrounds the poor and the defenseless? Instead why not take your useless hide and learn about your apparent enemy sense your ok with them coming after a leader who hides among these 'helpless people' so that maybe you will be ready. I do not blame these men who came into this place killing those who were in front of them. I only pity the poor fools who thought it was safe to be here."

Jorn Gareif looked upon the construct who stood before them in an attempt to bring peace upon this verbal debate and Jorn could only offer a wicked grin as he began to stroke his beard and looked upon the cat. "You choose to do so just to impress this leader who you defended when they only came due to that leaders presence. You choose to defend these people as you feel that your doing right when you have little to no idea as to what consequences a war brings. it is painfully obvious to me that you have not the slightest clue about what the realms offer. It is not your place to act within the grand scheme of things and yet here we are discussing something that I find awfully droll considering I am arguing with a cat." Jorn began to nod to his brother who began to open the portal back to Gaia while his clan leader continued to speak to the cat. "Your lack of common sense to see what this is right now is rather sad and the fact that you contributed to the body count. Whatever fool notion you believe in I am sure it serves you well." Jorn smirked as the portal would crackle into existence and with that he began to turn away from the group only to turn his attention back to the young wizard. "Boy you know how to contact me and I doubt it is that hard to figure out. When you get in touch with me then we will talk business." With that Jorn began to walk towards the portal and back home.

Out of all things to step into Gambits bar using a portal from the realm of Gaia's busy underground black market would step Jorn Gareif, a rather impressive looking dwarf who's beard was perfect as his noble outfit was dark. The old dwarf held in his hand a twisted cane made from ebony and with it he took several steps into the establishment only to get a good look at all the rather 'strange' patrons who seemed to call this tavern home only to have a look of disgust about him as his eyes wondered from cats to men wearing strange outfits. The only plus this time was the lack of dead bodies that used to inhabit the floor from his last visit. "Barkeep!" Jorn called as he slowly made his way over to the bars only counter and began to wait a bit till he found a suitable staff member of this establishment to fill out his order.

Jorn Gareif turned to glare at the Mad Hatter and began to wonder why he even bothered traversing planes if he was just going to deal with loonies. Upon seeing the tender of the tavern Jorn pulled from his pocket a platinum coin just to toss it up and catch it. "What stock do you have young man?" Jorn asked Zekil rather lightly as he was a bit curious to what this establishment had that he could not get elsewhere, granted he was still going to try to get what he wanted.

What kind of logic was that!?!? Jorn had never felt more outraged before in his entire life and yet here he was listening to this garbage about what the bar felt like spitting up for the dwarf. "I would like forty seven cases of Silver tank brandy, a fine dwarven mix. forty two cases of apricot rum that has been created by the elves of the southern swamps of Nor." Jorn began to stroke his beard a little in thought just to have a rather devilish smirk. "eight cases of silverleaf wine and twenty cases of Cruel Wine. Do you think you can manage that order?"

Jorn Gareif began to look over the fine drinks just to toss the young barkeep the platinum coin he had tossed previously only to pull out a wand from a holster that was sitting upon his belt and aimed it at the cases. With a crack of arcane energy the cases shrunk several times smaller until they were nothing more than small cubes the size in which he simply pocketed them and then put the wand up. Gripping his cane Jorn nodded to the young man only to turn about and suddenly take note of all the dirty humans that had made their way into the establishment. "Capital, it seems that they never stop."

A portal from another realm once again opened within Gambits bar and as quickly as it came about a Dwarf would step in and the portal closed behind him. "Typical as always it seems." Jorn Gareif looked upon Zekil and oddly smiled as from what he recalled the young man was efficient and good at his job. "I am housing a rather large party for a group of human dignitaries are going to arrive at my home for a rather lengthy business deal. I need 200 cases of your finest red wines, preferable those made by the last of the elves here on Terra. If you do not know whom I speak of then just whatever red wine you have in stock that would make a ass drunk as I do not think these men know the difference." With that Jorn began to look around at the patrons with a slight disgust for most of them only to turn back to the bartender. "The pay is my usual rate giving you a little extra."

"Well be sure to remind me if I ever stop back into this horrid excuse for a bar again if I can hire you to bash a few heads in." Jorn told him as he continued to place more and more cases into the ring. Now down to ninety five cases left due to his quick work that was made easier due to the ring. "Tell me bartender why do you work here anyway? From what I have seen this place is filled with those who are weak willed and overly idealistic yet they have no reason to be so. You could work any place I imagined but why here?"

Jorn spoke as he continued putting the cases into the ring just to then stop for a second and reach into his coat pulling out a rather precious purple crystal flask only to remove the top and down half of the container. Jorn Gareif nodded to Zekil for the most part but hard a rather odd look upon his face when the young man spoke of how his clan would have an opinion about his race. Yes in Jorn's eyes most humans were lazy bouts of flesh that could not tell you which way was up or down but this bartender seemed alright. "I am sure they would." Jorn spoke once again only to place the last of his cases into the ring just to then pick it up and attach it to his belt. Upon hearing one of the human women complaining about how the wine tasted he simply looked upon her with a rather curious look. "Excuse me miss but what was the glass you had a distaste for?" Jorn was rather curious as to Marlene McGregor's apparent distaste for the wine and so he wanted to give it a shot to see what the two differences were for himself.

Jorn Gareif just looked at the glass and then to Marlene McGregor who seemed to be going on over some murder case just to then push the glass towards Zekil. "Listen well barkeep as I will only tell you this once. You might be making more from information alone but there are other ways of doing this. Make sure you do what you will and I promise you that you will be a lot happier." The dwarf simply began to stroke his beard a little only to take a seat at the stool before the tender. "While I am still here would you mind pouring me some of the coffee that was just served as I am interested in how that tastes in comparison to what I have back at home."
