Josaphine Alexia Carter

Gender: Female105lbs. (48 kg.):Weight
Age: 20Human:Species
Height: 5ft.7in. (170 cm)Caucasian:Ethnicity

Description

Josaphine stands at five feet and seven inches, weighing in at one-hundred and twenty-six pounds, she has an average build and an inverted triangle body type. Josaphine is top-heavy, much to her chagrin, and generally plays down this fact with stripes and other patterns that minimize her buxom. She is often seen wearing creatively patterned bottoms when she’s relaxing, and when she’s in her more formal attire, her go-to pants are flared khakis to give her lower half a bit more umph. She grew out her blonde bob, and now sports a medium length layered hairstyle with straight-cut bangs, and some darker brown highlights. Her eyes are a deep hazel, while she occasionally enhances them with other colors.

Personality

Josaphine is a very free spirit. She does not restrict herself based on what others think, and she prefers to live outside the lines of the coloring book. Josaphine is very hyper at times, and tends to spend more time talking about her interests than listening to those of others. She has a hard time spending prolonged amounts of time on serious subjects, and tends to avoid them as much as she can. Although she seems a bit immature, Josaphine draws the line with her fun and carefree persona when she is responsible for others, and is very reliable.

Other

Josaphine lives with her close friend, Violet Kasara, and Violet’s two children. She is a freelance artist, and also babysits for extra cash. Josaphine is on summer break from her university classes, and is taking a glassblowing class during the weekends of summer.

Traits
  • Magic (illusion)- The ability to transform, restore, and levitate objects, including oneself.
  • Mental Adaption- also known as Knowledge Adaptation, Answer Adaptation, Adaptive Intelligence, Automatic Answering or Mental Adapt- ability to either adapt one's IQ temporarily to understand complex systems, or to automatically blurt out the answer to questions (asked or posed by others) without actually knowing or retaining the answer that one gives out.

Items
  • LG Dare- A large-screen touch phone with white casing w/ pink floral design.
  • Dragon Pendant- A gift from the friend that passed away. A gray dragon embracing a purple jewel.
  • Vintage Mood Ring- A retro styled mood ring that she bought for herself.

Josaphine Carter entered the bar, her hair looked like she'd slept on it for a week straight and then used a very soft brush to neaten it up a little. There may have been a little accuracy behind that, though. She walked in and let her eyes sweep the room, her colorful bob had grown out into long blonde locks with a few neon highlights here and there. She was wearing a gray and black geometric dress, colorful striped leggings, and leopard print sneakers.

She wore an oversized mood ring on her pointer finger, which was busy twirling strands of her hair. She sat on a stool at the bar, towards the farthest end. She was debating on whether or not she was going to get blind drunk today. She wasn't as cheery as usual, but that didn't mean she couldn't attempt to party like there was no tomorrow. Or today, for that matter. She glanced around the bar again.
Jazzy's curse strikes again...

Josaphine Carter glanced over in the direction of Kizaemon, her hair shifting over her shoulder. She swirled her finger around on the counter, tracing not-so-invisible circles on its surface, each having a different color and luminosity. She again shifted in her seat, sort of 'laying' on the air behind her, a smirk spread across her face.
Once an attention whore, always an attention whore.
, she told herself. Floating on the air behind the stool.

She moved back into a more natural, and humanly possible, position in her seat. Her hair moving back in front of her face again. Its colors were slightly bleary now.

Violet entered the bar. She pushed the doors open with her free hand, a music player of sorts being fiddled with in her other. She wore her hair down in curls, neatly fit behind her ears with a shiny, plastic, red headband. She wore a somewhat revealing slouchy tank, gray with purple paint splatter across it. It drooped rather low at the neck, and stopped mid-thigh. She wore solid black leggings beneath that, and black high-tops, her footwear of choice lately. She moved absently into a booth, Demi trailing after her. Her own hair mimicked her mothers'. She was almost twelve now, and she had gotten considerably larger, a little closer to Violet's height. She wore simple jeans, and a frilly shirt.

Josaphine smile at Kizaemon.
Neat trick isn't it?
She leaned over, whispering rather dramatically.
I can do magick.
She flipped her hair back over her shoulder, studying him. She leaned forward against the counter again, tracing more colored circles. The circles grew into more large, ornate, swirls. She tilted her head, slightly intrigued by her own ability.

Lynnette was looming about the bar, mostly surveying her surroundings. She had been trying to fit in with this areas average persons, but she seemed to have been rather odd still. She wore a maroon square-necked blouse and dark wash jeans. Her hair was up in a curly bun, and she still wore heels, strappy black ones at that. She moved into a spot at the bar, beside a man she had not seen before, though she didn't know many people. She leaned against the counter with one arm, clicking her nails against it. She cleared her throat, slightly, to bring attention to herself. Her striking gray eyes danced over her surroundings, meanwhile.

Josaphine frowned slightly, the swirl breaking where he touched.
Well, I'm not so good at keeping it intact when it is disturbed, yet. If it were bigger it would eb easier, but the small things take more focus, I guess.
She made all the swirls disappear, and then re-appear again. This time they were all a single shade of black, the same color her ring had changed in fact.
There are different kinds of magic, you know. Mines just one, for now.

Lynnette suppressed the strong urge to drag her fingers through his hair, although she generally would have just done it. She had no idea why she even felt the urge, or why she thought it was so adorable. She waved at him, mostly to show that she was still in existence.
I think it looks fine like that, you'll just make it less.....less if you mess with it.
She smiled, tilting her head in that cat-like way she seemed to be so fond of,
I'm Lynnette.

Josaphine smiled,
I was just waiting for you to ask that!
she turned towards him in her seat, the colors in her hair looking a little more radiant. The lights reflected off of her eyes brightly, an illusion of sparkle deviating from it.
There is Hoemopathic Magic, you can implement something on one object, and the same action be implemented on another. Then there is Imitative Magic, the core principle that if it is performed on some object, the same would happen to the person or object which is under influence. Like, affect by attachment. And then there's Contagious Magic. Its Black magic, mostly. Used in Voodoo. The dolls are connected to a person, by use of part of their person. Like a nail or something. Then you can hurt them by hurting the doll. Then there's just magic, I guess. The kind scientists haven't really studied and have no name for. That's the kind I have. I'm an illusionist, mostly.
She frowned again, she wished she had someone to actually show her what her magic was, but she'd lost that chance a while ago. Her face brightened after a short while,
Its pretty cool isn't it? All kinds of magic. Like peas in different pods. They're the same thing, but they're so different.

Josaphine scoffed, "I am no cheesy magician. They could hardly pass as illusionists. They just use their brains, I use my ability." She pulled her finger through her hair. "So what doyou do? I'm all blabbing about myself. Sort of rude like."
Lynnette ran her own hand through Chide's hair, getting it somewhat more 'neat' than it had been. "I like it. Like that. I don't think its bad. Flat is bad. Its too....average." She nodded in agtreement with herself, pulling her hand from his head. "And besides, its all wild and whatever. Its cool."

Josaphine chuckled herself, tilting her head as she curled her feet under herself. She 'floated' above the stool, not far enough to catch much attention. but she was showing off fo rhim now. "Boxers, and ex-boxers are cool. And everyone knows bums are the new rockstars." She gave him an overexaggerated thumbs up, accompanied by a playful wink. "What kind of boxing did you do?'
Lynnette giggled childishly to herself, running her hands through his hair. Generally this would be awkward, but she'd been off her rocker for most of the time lately. She mostly ran her fingers through it, wrapping around her fingers. Everyone had a thing for something, her thing happened to be hair. Guys' especially. "How come you don't like it? Its wonderful."

Lynnette laughed, a small burst of hearty laughter. Not as girly and cute as she generally tried to keep to. "I think its nice. And, crazed scientist or not, its cute. Besides, those kinds of scientists always have some bright ideas or something." She continued messing with his hair, somewhat inspecting it as she played with it.

Josaphine Carter shrugged, a taunting smile on her face. "Maybe neither, maybe both. That's the thing with us illusionists, thigns are never what they seem." She looked behind the bar again, she really wanted a drink right now. but that could get wild pretty fast. "Err, that sounds really cool. I don't fight, much, on purpose anyway. Sometimes its fun to watch though. Pros, I mean."

Lynnette was caught off guard by this move, and may or may not have jumped/squealed in that short moment of surprise. "Ah, I guess you do." She blushed herself, although it wasn't all that apparent. She giggled, "I like that nickname. Lynn. Nobody calls me anything short of Lynnette, generally."

Josaphine raised her eyebrow, "Well then, I guess fighters out of the ring are like illusionists displaying their tricks. Not completely forthright." She smiled again quite doofishly, attempting to make Kizaemon fly-float, as he called it. She would bring him up off his stool as far as she could magae, although that wouldn't be much.

Lynnette smirked, "Nicknames aren't all that proper in some places. Might be why I have such a long name in the first place." She said that last bit mostly to herself, maybe she hadn't really connected those dots before. Her blush reddened still, but she refused to seem the least bit affected by his antics. Instead, she portrayed some fo her own. "You know what I think about scientist-looking men with big hair? I say they're good. For dinner." And with that statement she licked one of his hands, and did not hesitate to draw it out as long as she could, trying her best not to laugh.

Jospahine shook her head, she would have if he had been a general jerk. But he wasn't, so she was being nice. "Wouldn't be much sense in dropping my friend on his backside, would there?" She smiled at him reassuringly, easing him back into her seat. mor or less dropping herself at the same time. "So, anyways. I'm Jospahine. You can call me Jazzy, if you want. Or something more cool if you can think of it."

Lynnette went wide-eyed and pulled her face away from his mouth, laughing brashly. "Oh, you didn't! Wha....you...oh!" She had been caught off guard twice in a few seconds time. She shook her head, attempting to recover her wits. "You're an odd little thing, you are." She giggled, moreso at herself than anything.

Josaphine raised her brow again at him, "Squishy?" She laughed at that, he didn't look squihy to her. "Alright, no squishy. How about Probie? Probie is good. Like a Pro B, for boxer." She smiled in an overly-large manner, trying to get a lugh out of him.

Lynnette shrugged, scratching the front of her hair with a finger. "Not at all, quite amusing, really." Her accent became a little apparent now, as she was too busy laughing to really suppress it. "I like amusing, needless to say." She smiled at him again, attempting to not look as awkward as she felt just then.

Josaphine Carter nodded. "Kiza is a good one. have you ever noticed that k's sort of resemble a kicking gesture? Really pointy letter too..." She gave in to her whim for alcohol and ordered a White Russian, something her friend had suggested a while ago. "Er, I think i've run out of things to say, Kiza."

Josaphine Carter laughed, he was catching on. She took a gulp of her drink, coughing slightly. "Well then, prepare to be amazed." She stood in front of her stool, making a show of her hands. "and, she's.....gone." No sooner than the word escaped ehr mouth then she seemed to vanish. No smoke, no gimmicks, just vanished. "I will buy you a whole round of those drinks, if you can find me." She folded her arms and watched him, from wherever she now was.

Josaphine Carter stuck her tongue out, "Maybe. or maybe I'm just too lame to know how to do it completely, yet." She shrugged and jumped from the rafters, landing squarely on her backside beside the stool. "Holy mother of- Oww." She cursed under her breath, holding the back of her head in a dumbfounded state of surprise and pain.
