Disgusting, such a word would sum up his thoughts on the establishment. It was as if every facet of a diseased, democratic society insisted on prostituting itself in the building, almost everything from simple carousing to diplomacy(the thought!) was present, and so did little for the atmosphere. Thus, keeping to oneself in one of the more remote booths might prove a better tactic than sitting in the open. One wouldn't want to soil their appearance with interaction. Rather observation proved to be a rather prudent tool, Matthias' reports having contained much, albeit most of the data gathered was nothing but mindless dribble.

After all, the place was a bar.

"Leave us." The guard spoke, offering an odd glance at the two before they both did as they were told, holding his look upon Laura for a moment before returning his gaze onto the Empress. He waited for several moments to be sure that they were gone, listening until their footsteps faded far enough into the background that he felt he could speak freely. "Forgive them, your highness, they have little experiences leading a nation. I am the Emperor Josef Kampf, please forgive my humble appearance, I wish not to make you think I was lowering my standards." Drawing his lips across his face for a moment, he explained, "Simply a precaution for safety."

"Likewise, Empress. It truly is refreshing to find a people not bent on our destruction here in this galaxy." Already his headwear was off, and he already felt that a great burden was off of him, without those that always figured him for some kind of god. It was refreshing to not live a ruse for a little while. "And I thank you for understanding, it only betrays a hint of your people's generosity. Though I hate to bring up business so soon, I assume that your ambassador has informed you of our offer?"

"You honor me yet again, Empress." He was, however, genuinely surprised as the table and seating suddenly materialized out of nowhere. Amazing, to say the least, not even the Collective back in the cluster had such technology, and such Josef made a mental note to inquire as to just how such worked. Responding to Wing's question, Kampf took a moment to recompose himself, leaving his parade rest stature for a gradual approach to the table, "Only when both parties in question enjoy warm relations, madam Empress." Reaching the table, Kampf gestured for the Empress to take her seat first, waiting opposite the table from her.

"As do I." Agreeing with her as he took his appropriate seat, he placed his peaked cap on the table beside him, clasping his hands together as he laid them on the table as well. "As we did, and your gate, Empress, was magnificent. Ours is still fairly young as well, only three decades have we experimented with such, and though we believe to have nailed travel and transport in-galaxy, we have yet to truly grasp inter-galactic wormhole travel. The best we can simply do is get it to go to a certain galaxy, the locale within..." He paused for a moment, "varies with each new hole. Scouting parties are required before we stabilize a hole."

Nodding in response, Kampf thought on the matter for a moment before accepting, "Maps, at the least, would be a great boon to our efforts here in this Galaxy. Laura serves as a general emissary for our people here, and if nothing else, it will serve to educate us further on the ways of our people." Leaning back for a moment, he broached another, somewhat related subject.

"Contrary to what my cult and nation would lead you to believe, I am no God, and contrary to what almost any party in this galaxy would claim, we don't wish for galactic conquest, only retribution for unpunished war crimes. Perhaps change can start with your people, proof that we aren't the warmongers that the Coalition would claim."

"And not to worry, Your Majesty, we wish not to draw you into our war. Simply to dissuade others from joining in it." He spoke the truth in his words, they didn't want any interference in their ancient conflict. The next words from the Empress brought a smile, if not small, to Josef's face. "And we, as a whole, would be in your debt for a good while. We don't blame them, as the Coalition has spread its lies everywhere, but they still must realize it."

Chuckling, Josef responded to the words regarding his 'divine' status. "A necessary measure, it helped us survive the Great War. But yes, I am no God, though many believe it. And of your husband, surely he cannot be too poor in character, if he belongs to a people such as your own."

"It is good to hear such, our people lack such a relationship with their rulers, but it is one that I, at the least, can admire." On the note of the people, Kampf glanced to the side for a moment, considering how to voice his opinion. "Regardless, it is still a much better job than our own people do."

"However, I believe that a relationship as relayed from Bamboo might be beneficial to both our nations. Our people bear the galaxy attention, and yours stand to benefit."

"I greatly appreciate the offer of asylum, should I ever need it I will gladly take it up. Bamboo has been most agreeable, I will say. Both her an our emissaries have performed most admirably." At the mention of a contract, Josef was quite pleased, his smile betraying such, speaking as she drew out the document, "Most excellent, I assume you've a utensil to sign it with?"

Offering his hand to take the pen, Kampf responded, "I assure you, if I were to have contrary opinions to what my emissaries would say, I wouldn't be here." The Empress and her people were of a different bolt of cloth than most here. Usually nations would hold back stage meetings with the Belkans, not wanting their affiliation known. Such a direct meeting, if not somewhat hushed, helped emphasize both the Belkan and Erutin desire for mutual peace.

Taking the pen in stride, Kampf soon scribbled an illegible calligraphic form which passed for his signature, listening as the Empress spoke. "It is good to do such, in this manner. Helps establish responsibility." Finishing, and looking over the job that he had done, he continued, "A first, perhaps the first of many. My people aren't used to diplomacy, given that our home is a harsh and violent hone, however, mayhap the powers that be will change such."

"I would hope nothing other, m'lady. We Belkans sign nothing without the intention to abide by it." Moving to stand, Kampf tucked his cap under his left arm, his pointed features looking over the Queen for a moment before saluting her, his right arm at a forty five degree angle, his fingers and palm rigid. "May we both prosper in the years to come." Dropping the salute, he offered again his thanks, "Yet again I find myself without the words to express my gratitude."

"Fat chance, Farasi." With a smirk, the Belkan looked to the Taiyou involved, then back to Hagen, "The show's over. We're leaving." The two delegates stood from their seats at the table, and, with brief glances to both the Junta and Corporate representatives, strode towards the door.

"Your willingness to strike me down only shows your lack of intelligence." Drawing his own pistol, he twirled it about idly, tempting her. "You seem to be forgetting a little someone-wait. You probably never read the Bible, did you?" This event, if suitable for the Hegemony in the beginning, was now a prime opportunity.

The trumpets of the Crusade were calling...

Turned to the admiral, his slight smile still present, speaking, "Try. No." Turning back to look at the farasite whore that passed for an Empress, he spat on her, before returning to his explanation. "My life is nothing, as I am simply one of hundreds, if not thousands. You have no idea what you have given us." Finishing, he drew the pistol level with Redwing, whose eye's widened for the moment before the 9mm slug shot through her forehead. Turning the weapon on Rosalind, she screamed, but she lacked the speed to get an intelligible word off before he cut her down as well. "I am worth more dead than alive." Finishing, he turned the weapon on Yamamoto, firing several rounds before the marines surely reacted.

Josef Kampf fell quickly, his upper torso separated from his legs, but, as he lay on the ground, his nerves overloaded with pain, he realized something.

His brother, Josef Kampf, would take the throne. Harold Redwing would inherit the position of Oberführer des Landwächter, if the clone wasn't reinstated, and Rosalind. They'd enough copies of her to fill Neu Lumen's meat lockers. The Holy War to reclaim the lands of Scatter was nigh, and the time of prophecy had come.

He died with a smile on his face, and two words on his lips.

"Sieg Heil."

Her Imperial Majesty, Queen of Dev Eru, Wing of House Erutin sat in her receiving room in her preferred form as a brunette human. Truthfully, she only preferred it for the political advantages it seemed to gather while dealing with those of the Milky Way, but it was a decent form. She wore a tea length sky blue dress and a string of pearls, trying to appear modest and demure.

Still, of all the monarchs and world leader she was meeting, she would admit to no small excitement. Her 'good friend' Kampf was coming to visit her, and she did hope he was suitable impressed with her Kingdom. Not that he would be seeing much more than a brief glimpse of the green palace grounds and the beautiful marble halls, tastefully decorated. He would have been guided by the most well-mannered Traveler she had been able to find, which was saying something as she found the majority of them to be nuisances capable of entirely too much mischief.

If she didn't need them to find more land, she would execute the lot of them. As it was they were needed, and they did provide the occasionally intelligent worker. She sat on the blue velvet chair and waited mostly patiently, another blue velvet chair faces hers at an angel. There was a simple wood coffee table, with a tea service already on it, the water for the tea very hot. There was even, to her pleasure, sugar cookies to match.

The era of incognito traveling was over, at least to Dev Eru, and that delighted Kampf greatly. He never cared much for masquerading as a bodyguard of Redwing or that detestable Aschen clone, and being able to wear his own colors was a point of pride. Clad now in his traditional black gabardine uniform, trimmed with gold bullion, he decided only to wear a belt and cross strap, deciding to forgo both the traditional saber and greatcoat. He sported, beneath the jet tunic, a crisply contrasting white undershirt along with a tie almost as dark as the rest of his clothing. Regardless, however, of whether he attended in disguise or not, he wasn't ever truly alone, even without counting the Erutin guide, two Landwächter guards always never far behind him, he tried his best to simply imagine that they weren't there, though the double echo of jackboots on the stunning inlaid floors did manage to consistently remind him of their presence. His pace was rather respectable, covering good ground with a wide stride, though it wouldn't register as a legitimate parade step back in the Hegemony.

Arriving in good time to his destination, he offered the best thanks he could to the guide, an awkward act considering his position in life, and ordered the guards to stay at the door, having to repeat himself twice to get the message across. As good as Redwing was at her job, sometimes she just drilled things too hard.

Opening the door gingerly, not wanting to make too bombastic an entrance, Kampf edged into the room, surveying it before acting further. He didn't have to wait long, however, as he caught sight of the Erutin Queen, Wing, her dress and furniture betraying her opulence. That's not to say they didn't favor her, though. Approaching with a quickened pace, he forwent the traditional salute that he practiced almost everywhere he went, considering the two monarchs to be on equal footing, at the least. "Your majesty." He did offer, however, a small nod in greeting.
