He offered her a bow of his head, and were the chaperone not there he might've dared to kiss her hand, but he simply let her go, speaking as he did, "Then I shall set about preparing. Your servant," He gestured back towards the woman who was her chaperone in Liese's stead, "will direct you to me." He offered her a final smile before he departed to begin instructing his valet on the task at hand. "I eagerly await your arrival, miss Redwing."

With that he turned about, retracing his steps from the place to his vehicle, taking his cap from the servant who offered it and, taking up the container from the rear of the car, directed his valet to inquire as to some light furniture which might be provided for his liege, but more importantly the young lady Redwing. Setting off with a determined stride, he reconnoitered the area, trying to find a tree's shadow which pleased him.

Resting against the tree he had chosen, a rather pleasing elm, he was watching with a pleased eye as his valet, Charles, transferred the first of the chairs out of the house to the tree, which was, perhaps, seventy paces at least from the residence. Given, the first was reserved for Linde, and he would take the second, then, once they had a surface of some kind, they would partake of whatever the servants had deemed pleasant to include. With another glance, after observing Charles for a moment or two longer, he smiled as Linde, with her chaperone, approached. Oh! how she bewitched him. Even now he couldn't help but lock his gaze on her. She was the one.

Gesturing to the seat before him, Charles soon marching off to attain another, he offered the seat to her, hoping that the scene was to her liking. "I haven't chosen poorly, have I?"

Moving in front of her once she had taken her seat, he enjoyed, for a moment more, the pleasant weather. How nice it was for such a thing, the summers here on Tannhäuser proving to be so mild in the north! He inhaled, enjoying the scent as the breeze wafted across the grounds again, the grass shimmering from its effect. "Thank you, Linde," He turned, smiling again, "But I do owe you for coming." He lowered his voice, hoping that the chaperone wouldn't hear over the noise of the wind as he closed with Linde, "It pleases me so that you are keen on this, Linde." He looked back over to see Charles coming again, though his heart sank at what else he believed he saw.

Oh how she always had to be present.

Josef nodded, understanding that she must go speak with her sister, as siblings were oft to do. "It is yours, take all the time you need." He turned about, looking again to the pleasant day as he waited until she was out of earshot to let out a most distressed sigh. Could he not have but one day, one day alone with Linde without the intervention of that infatuated woman!? How it irritated him, at times. At least she took no direct action against it, that much he could give her credit for.

"She hasn't, but I know of them. Quite curious little things they are!" Josef too assisted in his interest's attempt at keeping things upbeat, now seated in his own chair, having taken the downtime allotted by the two sisters' interaction to place the food before them. He offered Redwing a brief nod as she sat, upon which she returned a relaxed salute. There was just something about that, he couldn't place it, which satisfied him. More of his father coming out, perhaps. "Have they met you, Linde?" He had this habit whenever they were together, always trying, whenever he had the chance to move the subject back to her.

Kampf nodded, looking to both of the sisters as he waited, leaving the conversation to the two of them, not wanting to interfere or throw it off of whatever track that Linde had it planned for. Something was upsetting her, though he knew not just what it was. As he pondered, he could see the relation in their faces, as they, though mirrors of each other, were cut from the same bolt of cloth. Curious, that.

Josef Kampf had been spending his day largely as usual, and perhaps what was farthest from his mind was a visit to him by Sieglinde, the very woman who he felt he pestered beyond hope. Such an act brought a sense of hope to him and renewed his spirits in a way, that perhaps he wasn't alienating her with his nigh on constant doting. Contrary to his hopes though, she came not to him to enjoy his company but to utilize his 'talents' and apparently exorcise a demon. Well. She didn't seem too mortified, so he assumed that the situation didn't involve a real demon, so he found himself lead by her to Liese's office.

Well. This would be interesting.

With a sigh and a glance to Linde, he opened the door, though he largely didn't expect what came next.

With precision the block caught Josef in the side of the neck, and in combination with the exclamation of the younger Redwing, such things caused him to jump back, his foot also bearing catching the stair as he recoiled, a hand quickly going to his throat. The thing was hostile, to be sure. With a glance to Linde, the Emperor always attempting to act the gentleman about her, he checked on her state before venturing into the child's field of fire again.

Liese, meanwhile, adopted a look of horror as her godson's projectile struck the God-Emperor, quickly rising from her game with Adalie to approach and apologize to her liege. "No dearest," she spoke, offering the girl a glance as she prepared, "... no pew-pew."

Cautiously Kampf peeked about the corner, not too keen on taking another one of those blocks to his head, and he asked, his voice managing to carry quite well when he projected it, "Liese, are they under control?" He knew, of course, of her godchildren, -- what kind of God would he be if he didn't? -- and he cautiously awaited her answer, which came quite quickly,

"As much as I can, for the moment, my lord." She shot Trent a deadly glare, though it was likely descended from more worry considering Kampf than the boy himself.

With a curious glance he looked down to the girl who only paid him a moment's attention before glancing to Linde, who seemed to hold much more ground with her than he. The quick withdrawal of the girl caused him to offer a glance to Sieglinde just to see what was the matter, and it was obvious that she was most displeased. Placing a hand on her shoulder, he took advantage of the situation, though he soon looked back to Liese, who managed to hide her displeasure well.

Listening to the woman as she spat something concerning the children, he asked Liese, waiting until her sister had finished, "... Linde is becoming quite exasperated with things, Liese."

"I can tell, my lord." Her casual appearance was unfitting for such a meeting, wearing only her service shirt and trousers, her tie and tunic absent. "... they have taken a dislike to her." With a sigh Josef replied, looking again to the more feminine of the two as he answered,

"Perhaps we could reach a compromise?"

Liese, knowing that such was her place to, nodded in response. A compromise brokered by the God-Emperor really was the only way to get her sister to stop this incessant bitching. They honestly weren't so bad, and they took Scatterran forms when here! All Linde had done was upset her one day and Trent had taken it upon himself to, for some reason, attack her baby sister whenever she was about. She mentally sighed, Redwing's single blink coming with the thought of One week in a uniform is all. One week of basic would cure Linde of her sense of self-entitlement, though that might upset Kampf.

Kampf, meanwhile, enjoyed her presence on his arm, though he didn't let such distract him from the task at hand, shooting her a light glance as he spoke under his breath, "It is no trouble." It pleased him, actually, to see her so vehement about the things. They were assets, nothing more, save that these were of particular favor to the Archduchess. A special case. Turning back to her, he proposed, "Perhaps we can organize a schedule. You still see your godchildren and Linde doesn't endanger herself." Liese, seeing nothing wrong with the plan, nodded again in agreement, looking to her sister as she awaited her consent.

With an amused sigh he placed his spare hand over one of Linde's, looking again to her as she seemed displeased with the agreement. She never was pleased with less, and such was what caught his eye so splendidly about her. What more could one want than the most powerful position in the entire Hegemony? Distraction came, though, in the form of the little girl, who tugged on the rather poofy bit of his breeches, and with a spare glance down to her, Kampf smiled.

He could look quite that patriarch at times.

Lowering himself as he squatted, he looked to Adalie, and he did his best to explain the new word to her, "It's when you do things." Redwing, meanwhile, saw to her godson, approaching the boy and kneeling beside him as she turned him about to face her, brushing a spare hair of his out of his face.

"No, dearest. Bad lady can't go way." She sighed, "Bad lady is aunt Linde."

"Just like school!" He offered a chuckle along with it as he patted the girl on her head before he rested both of his arms on his knees, "... the bad lady wont come by with a schedule." He thought he had the term correct from what the boy said, and he tried his best to look convincing, even if he showed up with such company as the bad lady. It was likely an odd sight, the God-Emperor of the Hegemony, clad in his jet uniform, kneeling with a child and smiling.

Liese, meanwhile, offered a pained smile to Trent, trying her best to explain. "Yes, you keep aunt Ring safe, but..." She looked to Linde, who had turned away from the sight. Not only did she take Kampf, but she was ashamed of her sister's godchildren. Sadness formed in her breast again as she sighed, "Bad lady is aunt Ring's Adalie. Sister."

With a smirk he shook his head, sadly to do such a thing would only make the bad lady's coming more frequent, at least with the twin's present, and he knew that certainly wasn't what they wanted. "No, not good." He patted her again on the head, offering a glance over in Redwing's direction. He really didn't see her as the type to pamper a child, certainly not spoil it. Perhaps such was the effect of their biological mother.

Redwing, meanwhile, tried not to smile at the little one's assessment, "She is." She reassured him as best she could, "Aunt Linde." It sounded so strange coming off of her tongue, partly because she wanted Linde to have no part in the children's lives, not trusting her to keep to herself with such beautiful creatures. She had a way of ruining things, and she was sure that, were she to be involved with them, this would be no different.

Redwing looked to Henry with something of an exasperated smile. At least Henry could understand her without the need for such layman's terms, and she was about to explain the situation at hand when he saw for himself, the quick salute, though unexpected, brought a smile to her face. Henry was learning well in public education, and she hoped that he would follow Redwing's steps into the Academy. Just so long, she prayed, that he didn't lose himself in his job as she did hers.

Kampf looked to the newcomer with some fascination, he being older than the pair, and returned the salute, though he was much more relaxed than the boy as he did. "Welcome, friend." He spoke, hopefully not too boldly, to the boy in greeting. However, Adalie still demanded his attention and he looked to her and did his best not too sound too harsh. "No, schedule wrong. Bad lady need Ring." The thought! He chuckled unintentionally at what he had said, not realizing the double meaning until the words escaped his mouth. "Yes..." He said, regaining his composure, "Bad lady need Ring." He looked over to Henry for a moment before adding, "Aunt Ring."

Kampf simply accepted his words with a nod as he raised himself back up to his full height, towering above the children as he did. Redwing, meanwhile, responded to Henry as best she could, offering a shake of her head, "They were fine, Henry. Just being children." Given, children throwing blocks at God-made-manifest, but children all the same.

Linde's actions got some response from Kampf, who offered her a brief glance at her words, and with some surprise heard Henry's response. He shot the boy no ill look, but after a soft glance to Linde, he moved his hand to hers, hoping that she would take it. Once he had done so he looked to the boy, hoping he understood without having to say anything.

"Yes." Josef answered with a sigh, his disposition lightening since an understanding had been reached concerning the woman who would, in time, be his wife. "A schedule. To ensure that all parties are happier with things." Squeezing Linde's hand at this, he continued, "The children don't care for Linde, and it seems that the feeling is mutual. But a sister should not be denied her sibling-" He glanced to Redwing, who for a moment met his gaze, though she soon looked to Henry and the children, "... we will work on the terms at a more opportune time, however."

Liese didn't take long to echo his words, "Perhaps I could speak with your mother, sometime."

Redwing nodded, of course, though she didn't relish the thought of meeting with her again, considering the Archduchess' suspicions. It was a terrible thing to think that one's confidante was an enemy, and it shook Redwing to think it. "I'll be sure to," She said with a smile, "I'll try and come over at a decent hour." At least on her end, there was no way of telling what time it was on the other side of things.

Kampf, all the while, watched as the twins hustled about. He knew not Linde's pain at seeing the things, though he would likely gain some inkling of it as time went on. Instead, he was content to sit idly by as the issue of the demon child was neutralized, if only for now.

She smiled to Henry, though she hid a whirring mind, cautious of such words. He was a good one, though, and though he wasn't her charge, she would be happy to take him as such. "Well, I'll have to return the favor then." She would, of course, bring something for her twins -- odd how she thought of them in that manner -- and discuss matters of business with Hope. The short gasp from Linde caused her to look up, though she turned her gaze away as she saw the two standing so close, and Kampf's reaction to her younger sister.

To see him so familiar, and so willing, with another made her physically ill. She needed to be away.

With a sigh she answered them, smiling as he took her hand, "I would be delighted, if..." She trailed off looking to the children, looking to Kampf as she paused. He, for a moment, was distracted with Linde, though he soon looked back and gave her a nod of approval, and she finished her statement. "... I would be delighted." She would enjoy the evening with them, she rarely got the chance to spend and entire day with the twins.

He hoped that the family would bear some surprise with his visit, after all the rejections he had suffered through in trying to contact them via a less troublesome manner, but Kampf could make some time to meet with the Duke, since matters on Tannhäuser took second place after she had left to return to her work. After all, he was the God-Emperor. He could always find time for something.

Especially something as possibly entertaining as this.

Clad in all the trappings of his office, Kampf sat rather nonchalantly poised on a bench, waiting in the outer sanctum of the Redwing residence, having been relegated to the pseudo-lobby by a rather astonished servant who soon set off to announce his liege's presence. He might toy with them for a bit, it might prove rather fun. A great many did fear him so.

"Sieg heil, Duke." came the Emperor's answer, a small smile present on his face as he spoke, turning to meet the lesser, but still great, noble who sired his love. "I trust all is well today?" The small talk was typical of these people, he'd found, and set about on it as most would. His left hand fell to his saber's hilt, hanging on the ivory grip idly whilst his other was raised in a salute given a tad lighter than the Duke's own. There was no need to scare him too badly.

Yet.

Once he had dropped the greeting, he offered forth his hand to the man, glove removed of course, to be shaken. The Kaiser had no idea that he, save through traditional methods of security footage and such, was being observed. Despite the several orders and many ribbons, the God-Emperor made little noise when he moved, only the slight rattle of his saber's scabbard against its hooks betrayed his soft step as he approached him.

The Emperor's smile widened as he took his hand, happy that the Duke wasn't so cautious as others to merely have physical contact with the man, or God depending on one's viewpoint, and soon set about with another answer. "Oh, yes my lord Duke, save for one, rather pressing matter." He let the statement hang in the air for a handful of moments, adopting a more severe visage as he did, though a hint of the smile remained on his lips. With a glance to the floor and a breath, he cut the silence short, "You do recall my attempts to contact you?"

Oh, how delightful this would be. He wondered just how the Duke and his house had dealt with his messages, if they had ignored them or even destroyed them as some attempt to gain access to the House's funds. Thusly, Kampf's features took on a more annoyed air, and for a moment his figure, though magnificent, bore a menacing quality. He was good at that, looking menacing. It really did a number to work people up with his speeches. "... several times, in fact. Concerning a daughter of yours. You did read them, didn't you?"

Kampf rolled his eyes, both in mock annoyance and to keep himself from letting out a slight giggle. Oh dear, the man really did fear him. Well. The Verhör were to be feared, but perhaps more now in the hands of young Linde than his own. To combine the powers of a God with the whim of a mortal? Surely a combination to be feared. "Perhaps," Josef started, returning his gaze to the Duke, "if you had bothered to entertain your patience, you would know that it doesn't involve the Archduchess or her many accomplishments."

He embellished her position, displaying a true hint of annoyance with his effort to distance himself from the woman, though he soon gestured to a seat, his tone changing somewhat, "... but, that is not what I've come to speak about. Your other daughter, Duke. Linde."

Kampf shook his head as the man blathered on, looked about and rolling his eyes once more. He'd had his fun, caused him to sweat a little. The Emperor kept on with his observation of the scene at hand, listening but not listening as the Duke tried to demean his daughter as best he could to ensure his innocence. It was rather amusing, but it tried on the Kaiser's nerves. "My dear Duke," he spoke, leaning a hint closer to him, lowering his voice as best not to be heard, "I'm afraid that your daughter has ensnared my heart." If such a thing existed! Oh, but she was most capable of it, truly the perfect Scatterran lady in every form.
